lovely hotel in beautiful surroundings excellent dinners loved the musician who sang and played keyboard large comfortable room and modern bathroom a little far from everything could not find it with our gps
Don't judge it from the car park as it doesn't look anything special. Once inside the door it's fantastic! Very nicely designed with great facilities! Our favourite being the private beach with views of Falconara Castle...just beautiful! Didn't want for anything during our stay! Excellent staff, food, drinks and room! Expensive but you get what you pay for.
Everything was great, the only downside was the inadequate beach but the hotel seems to be putting finishing touches to its surroundings.
The view on Caltagirone was beautiful, rooms big and clean and personnel friendly It`s quite far from the city, so you need a car.
Grand older hotel in the 'new' town, with good/great service and amenities. Stunning views over old town. Difficult place without a car - to get anywhere; public transport: bus- a long walk, train a long way away - need taxis. The hotel restaurant, though charming and with top service has lousy food; there are no other restaurants in walking distance of hotel.
the hospitality of the staff it does not provide an iron
Proximity to old town Caltagirone was good. Hotel is not located near any restaurants.
Very friendly and helpful receptionist. Nice breakfast.
Breakfast - it was fantastic in its quality and variety The staff who were very nice and helpful, especially the dining room staff The air conditioning which was marvellous as the outside temp reached 45 degrees The ambience of grandeur in the hotel and its furnishings Nothing
The food was excellent. The room and appointments were very good, and Laura graciously helped with parking and our next reservation. Hard to find until you learn to follow the signs for the hospital.
The staff were very helpful at all times. The hotel dining was acceptable enough but see below. We tried to find a restaurant neerby but failed both times and we were driving. Recomend that you do not ake a car to old town. The charging structure when you were only having a main meal was extorinate as they still charged for 3 course. The pool sides due to its location were covered in green algae. I feel that they should clean the pool more often as a result as my wife and oldest daughter wouldn't use it. Never did find a restaurant withing 5km of hotel. I am sure there were some but I don't know where they were.
reception people excellent, kind and courteous Breakfast was till 10.00 am, at 9.30 bacon finished and when we asked the male waiter we were just told 'yes it finished and it is rather late', some service
The Staff were friendly and helpful, especially the lovely guy at reception. the swimming pool was great, although very few people were using it, just us and one other guy over the four days. The drinks were a bit expensive, and it's a twenty five minute walk from the centre of old town caltigirone, but you can break your journey at the garden bar, which is a great little place on the via maria dei gesu.
Nice family, good breakfast with local products. The structure is new, comfortable .Parking near the B&B.Excellent ..
good location to central area. we were able to choose from a list of breakfast items...very nice!! enjoyed our visit with the both owners!! we didn't realize that all rooms at this b & b are below ground level meaning that when you opened the windows you felt like you were in the basement. there was no outdoor space to sit therefore if felt very dark and enclosed. we didn't want to spend too much time in our room even though it was spacious and very clean. a place to sit outside would make this b&b more appealing.
Cosy, new, comfortably equipped non-easy english speaking
Friendly and cheerful reception. Pleasant, spacious room. Easy walking distance from the historic centre. Good value home cooked evening meal.
Beautiful B&B ,location perfect, family atmosphere, quiet and spacious rooms.Super breakfast, local products.Room clean and comfortable.
very friendly, family atmosphere, extremely clean and safe
Staying at the Girosa is really staying at the home of a very sweet and accommodating family. The whole family...from young infant to the grand parents. Grandma does the cooking...and it is fabulous. The room was large, the bed comfortable. The Girosa is located very conveniently borth for getting to it and for walking to the major attractions Only complaint is no English channels on the TV were available.
Sightseeing The room has only a window to the hall.
good value for the money, close to most important city attraction , just ok
Restaurant, Staff, views all excellent The pool was made available to the local townspeople who sometimes took it over. Hotel has promised to stop this. Check it out!
the welcome, the restaurant
How helpfull and freindly the staff were. I paid for my room twice, once with booking.com and then cash on the day. it was my mistake that i beliieve is being retified by booking.com?
location - quiet, nice view. very good restaurant
Hotel restaurant fantastic
Employees were kind and polite. Nice swimming pool. The village is a bit boring, not as nice as almost any sicilian village. Swimming pool is closed after 19:00. After the photos we thought the hotel will be alone on a hillside, but it is in the village.
Clean and comfortable rooms, beautiful pool, good value for money at restaurant, very helpful staff. New air conditioning was not working in one of two rooms. We were told it was a question of adjustment by technician.
Relation quality price and just five minutes from the Selinunte archaeological park or the beach! New hotel, large and sunny room and the best breakfast I had in the 9 days I spent travelling rouind Sicily!
Pool and the locatiuon overlooking the town, which at night was very beautiful.
We loved the ambience of the hotel and the apparments, the glorious and generous breakfasts and the elegant furnishings. The staff were extremely helpful and very friendly, going out of their way to assist us to better experience Caltagirone and the surrounding towns. top marks! -
Location and rooms were great. No problems
The hotel was beautiful with a very warm and welcoming atmosphere. It was also not difficult to find although the instructions were not really complete. The owners were extremely helpful and we loved the breakfast room and the conviviality with other guests in the morning. They also gave us a very good dinner recommendation close th o their hotel. We loved everything about thisplace.
Practically in Caltagirone city center (5 minutes walk), nice restaured building with kind staff and proper room.
atmosphere, location, style
The location of the B&B is quite good and the common parts are nicely maintained. Breakfast was nice but taken inside even if the weather was perfect to take it on the terrace. We had an awful welcome and felt bad about it. In the evening, stucked outside with another couple because the front door wouldn't open, we were accused of not knowing how to use the key. It was absolutely not justified and something a host cannot do. We were close to exploding... The room was not much better than the owners: no view, bathroom was small, shower was so tiny that you honestly could not move (and it takes 10 min to get hot water). We do not recommend this B&B exept if you like arrogant, unfriendly hosts and a tiny bathroom. The owners should stop running a B&B if they do not want anyone in their house.
Location. The rooms smelled musty and the hotel keeper was not very welcoming.
The B&B was beautiful, the the breadkfast was extraordinary. Good location to all the sites. At check in the staff could have been more helpful. They could have given us more information on the city, attractions and places to eat.
Location very close to the old centre of the city, excellent rooms and breakfast, run by a very charming, helpful proprietor- Agnese. She has plans for expansion and I'm sure will continue to run an excellent place. Don't try to drive there in a large car - luckily we didn't - as it is in a narrow street with tight parking. But there is ample parking a short walk away to the northwest
location, no elevator
