Pros:They had a very friendly staff. Lillian was the only really saving factor. Also, the had a decent breakfast offering with waffles, yogurt, packaged muffins and danishes, cereal, juices, and milk, biscuits and gravy. There wasn't a lot in the way of hot food, but there were a number of choices.
Cons:Not sure where to begin, but I guess I'll start with the green pool! My husband and I were meeting our grand kids in Odessa, so of course the pool was going to be a big deal. When I booked the hotel I looked for three things in this order, 1. pool, 2. breakfast, 3. wi-fi. The kids were all dressed to swim and we walked down to the pool. It was green with algae and padlocked shut. No one said a word about it at check-in, nor was there a sign anywhere that I saw. Had we known about it when we were checking in before everyone had unpacked, we might have looked for another room. Second, I guess I'm just use to when you book a "double" room they mean two queen size beds. This is NOT the case here. They mean two full size (double) beds. I don't know if this has ever happened to us before. This was crazy! Two kids wanting to sleep with Nana in a full size bed! Let me say Nana didn't get much sleep!!! Our next night at the next hotel with two queen beds was sooooooo much better!!! Third, they did have free wi-fi, it was fairly slow, but it did work; however, there isn't an electrical outlet anywhere near the bed that can be used. Instead they had a four outlet base at the little table next to the far wall. Fortunately I have a fourteen foot cord on my computer; however my husband doesn't have anywhere near that distance. Fourth, and I saw someone say they had a quiet night, so I'm not sure if they were paid by the hotel to say that, if they wore earplugs, or if they had something majorly wrong; however there is a train track immediately across the road. The train doesn't always blow its horn, but it does some of the time during the night and you can hear the cars slamming into each other as they load and unload. There were times it was very noisy; of course as I said, Nana wasn't sleeping well anyway, LOL!
