At The Dwell—Chattanooga, Tennessee’s first upscale luxury boutique hotel— Old Hollywood and South Beach glam playfully contrast the historical charms of a newly renovated, three-story brick-and-limestone building set in downtown Chattanooga. Perfectly placed in the heart of the city—and midway between Nashville and Atlanta—The Dwell boasts 16 rooms, all uniquely designed with vintage furniture, rustic hardwoods, exposed brick, and curated art pieces. Here, mid-century-modern meets luxury-retro, with each room evoking a journey into another era. And by expanding the restaurant, completely reimagining the hotel bar, and creating entirely new lounge spaces, the hotel offers up multiple spaces for guests and locals to experience hospitality, Chattanooga-style.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Staff, as always are accommodating, cheerful, and prompt. Immaculate rooms and perfect location.
7.4 Good
Pros: The breakfast included, exceeded my expectations. Hotel had lots of character and was comfortable. The hotel reminded me a lot of staying in my grandparents old farm house so it was very homie. The staff was wonderful and friendly. I would definitely go back, but would book a room with a balcony instead.
Cons: The pictures are a little misleading, since the room we booked was definitely smaller and didn't have the same quality furnishings . We weren't in the room much, so that was okay. Overall it was a nice stay and had very few complaints.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: I’ve stayed at a few “cool” hotels that were short on actual amenities. That is not the case here. Everything from the delicious breakfasts to generously sized bathrooms was an absolute surprise and delight. The staff from the valet to the front desk folks to the woman who sets out breakfast were really kind without being intrusive – the perfect combo.
Cons: Our room smelled a little funky even though it was clearly very, very clean. We opened the windows to air it out a few times which did the trick.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Retro look from the moment you walk in the doors. Greeted by amazing front desk staff - offered a welcome cocktail.
Cons: It had more street noise than I anticipated. Several emergency vehicles throughout the evening. Also across from large postal facility. I think they had big trucks coming in all night. There was a sound machine in the room - we definitely used it!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Like Harrison, the front desk...........he is on top of all the action.....................Will not stay any. Where else........... JLT
Cons: Ha......????????
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Great hotel right in the middle of everything we wanted to do while we were in Chattanooga. Loved the mid century modern decor. Had a great time trying the craft cocktails at the bar. Brian at the front desk was super to deal with.
Cons: The only thing I can possibly mention as a negative would be the lack of a refrigerator in the room.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Staff is amazing! Great atmosphere and decor. Centrally located as well.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Staff was welcoming and very nice. The hotel is beautiful in a good location.
Cons: There are no Breakfast options. Would be nice to have choice of eggs and some cold cuts.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Love the location, style and staff. Their so friendly!
Cons: None
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Nicely designed hotel. Very good breakfast!
Cons: Water pressure in the shower could have been better
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Very cool
10.0 Excellent
Pros: My only regret is that we only stayed one night ! My first overnight stay in Chattanooga & I will never stay anywhere else ! The most beautiful Inn with modern accommodations yet they've kept the original charm of the building ! I read the reviews about the breakfast but they didn't do it justice ! The chef made biscuits that are out of this world ! The room was huge & bed extremely comfortable. Not your typical, sterile, cookie cutter hotel room ! I can't wait to go back again !

8.3 Excellent
Pros: Management was very responsive when I reported an issue.
Cons: Breakfast should be served until 10:30 or 11:00 to accommodate those of us who are late sleepers or are on vacation! At least on the weekend. The hotel should include in their reservation request a question regarding food allergies. Or it could be asked at check in. For example, I have celiac and cannot eat anything made with flour. At an absolute minimum, include a GF cereal like Chex. Keeping frozen GF bread on hand would be nice.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Modern relaxing decor and great bed, bath, huge closet, fridge and separate work and relax areas.

Pros: I liked how easy it was to walk to nearby bars and restaurants. The staff accommodated me with an early check-in, after I had been driving all night long.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast was great and a really appreciated bonus to the booking!
9.5 Excellent
Pros: How respectful the patrons were in the sleeping quarters.
Cons: If I missed the parking info. Please disregard, it’s not that I disliked this but I would liked to have had a map / directions to the parking before I got there so I could have driven straight there. Idea: clients be able to download and print parking pass and the directions to the lot on the back of it.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Industrial architecture, clean lines, comfortable space, GREAT location!
Cons: Shared bathroom was fine for me but wife really wanted private space...it really didn’t matter though, no one in either bathroom when we got up showered and left...also private lockable stalls and changing area so ok even for the shy.

Pros: Crash Pad, y'all were great! Perfect spot and exactly the getaway I needed, wish I were staying another night!
Cons: The lock on the door was a little loud; it didn't bother me but I worried that I was waking up the other guests who were asleep out in the shared room...

10.0 Excellent
Pros: As first time Hostel stayers I can't imagine that it get's much better than The Crash Pad. Corey checked us in and out he was super friendly / helpful and had great recommendations on where to go in the city. The space was so clean, the common area was cute, and it was in the perfect location to get around town. They offered DIY breakfast in the morning sold beer in the afternoon, had a fire pit out back, and offered discounts at tons of places around town just for staying there. They have bunks / private rooms etc. Overall super cool well run place.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Indoor heated pool
5.0 Okay
Pros: Convenient
Cons: Too many dogs, they tried to cover the odor but it wasnt possible. If I had known they allowed dogs to that extent I would not have stayed there.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: The room had a beautiful view, and it was ultra-spacious. Breakfast had several options, and the salt/chlorine pool was great!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The facilities were excellent, far exceeded my expectations. Was very happy with the motel, the staff, and the location. Will for sure stay there again when in Cleveland rafting the Ocoee River. Could not have asked for a better experience. Would highly recommend this motel to anyone.
Cons: There was nothing to dislike
8.0 Excellent
Pros: The hotel was very clean and well decorated. The staff was friendly and professional.
Cons: The floor we were on was extremely noisy. There was a group booked on that floor and they were loud and obnoxious all night and in to the morning. It made it impossible to sleep.
7.5 Good
Cons: We had to change the sheets on one of the beds. It had hair all over it.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The entire experience was awesome. We checked in late in the evening after traveling all day. The staff were courteous, the room was exceptionally clean, and the complimentary breakfast had lots of variety of hot and cold items. We booked online right before arriving and got a great price too!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The decor.
6.3 Good
Pros: Easy to get to.
Cons: Very noisy room. Could hear all traffic.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: New and neat
9.3 Excellent
Pros: The building as a whole was beautiful, well kept, nicely decorated and clean. It also smelled wonderful! The room looked well cleaned with the exception of the carpet. The bathroom was beautiful and well appointed for a handicapped guest. Breakfast was delicious and offered good options. Would definitely stay here again, as well as recommend to others.
Cons: The floor in our room looked like it had not been vacuumed. Also there was water in the floor in front of the ice machine down a main hallway but it was never mopped up- just had a wet floor sign in front of it. This presented a challenge as I was walking with a walker.
10.0 Excellent
Cons: The hotel did not have the reservation I made through your website!

Overview Reviews
With a stay at Bluff View Inn, you'll be centrally located in Chattanooga, steps from Chattanooga Riverfront and 7 minutes by foot from Tennessee Aquarium. Free self parking is available onsite.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Location!!!! Bakery on-site. Great breakfast
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Close to the walking river on the Tennessee, in a nice location. The room is very clean and large ; very comfortable
Cons: You must have a car behause you are far from the City center so the choice of restaurant is limited
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The staff was friendly. The rooms were cozy.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The staff is very friendly and accommodating. The beds are plush and comfortable. The room was clean and decorated with antiques. It’s one of the best locations in Chattanooga-on the cliffs overlooking the majestic Tennessee River. Located right next door to the Hunter Museum and walking distance to the Aquarium, art district and river boat rides. I highly recommend staying here when you visit Chattanooga.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The view, the area, all the food available.
Cons: We got a great parking spot, but I could see that wouldn't always be the case.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast and the warm and cozy room. Felt like I was at home!! =)
8.0 Excellent
Cons: Took the most expensive room they had since it had a balcony that overlooked the river. Most disappointed that they did not have higher chairs that would allow sitting comfortably and being able to see over the railing. Sad that their most valuable asset is under-utilized.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The property is beautiful and in a perfect location.
Cons: Upon check in I was concerned about the hospitality. The next morning I met Richard and he was awesome!!!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The Bluff View Inn is incredible. I recently stayed in the Morgan suite (top floor, with small balcony). The breakfast arrangement with Rembrandt's worked out perfectly. The price was comparable to some of the higher end chain hotels in the area, but the choice is a no-brainer. I would choose the Bluff View Inn again for my next business trip to Chattanooga.
Cons: I have no real complaints from my stay at the Inn. The only things I noticed that might bother other guests are the lack of an elevator (It is a historic building) and the old, tiny TV in the bedroom of the Morgan suite. The lack of elevator and small TV did not bother me, as I spent more time working and exploring the area then watching TV in the room.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: We had an incredible stay, with the most remarkable view and probably all Chattanooga. Also, the entire region of the city is entertaining and beautiful to visit. We would highly recommend anyone stay here.
Cons: Nothing

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast was fresh. Variety. Clean dining area. Liked indoor or outdoor seating.
Cons: Only thing I did not like was air conditioner was loud by my bed. Sounded like noise was from other air conditioner in other room as it would have been against our wall by the headboard. Other than the above, we loved the spacious room.

Cons: No
8.0 Excellent
Pros: We have stayed in this hotel on a way to the Great Smoky Mountains, so the location was on our way. But if someone would like to see the town, it is not the right place. Room was OK for one night but nothing special.
Cons: Air conditioning is old fashioned and was blowing on one of beds. It was also quite noisy. Queen beds are a little bit too small for 2. So, the room was more for 2 rather than for 4.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful views and convenient location to mall and shopping.
Cons: When there a lot family with kids there never enough room or time to go swimming. We never got to use it cause it closed at 10 pm every night and lots of children stayed in pool till closing. Be nice that adults could swim from 10pm till midnight like the exercise room.

Pros: The location was wonderful. Oz Perez and Erica were especially accommodating., They answered all of our thousands of questions, fulfilled our every request and exceeded any and all expectations. We had a very specific request regarding the room situation and Oz and his team worked tirelessly to make sure that we knew our wants were important to them and giving us what we wanted was just as important. All of the staff from the valets to the cleaning crew and EVERYONE in between gave us 15 point service on a 10 point scale. The entire location was immaculately clean, the restaurant is top notch and fresh. I would recommend this to hotel to ANYONE and EVERYONE!! We will definitely be returning to stay with our new extended family, Oz, Erica, Chris and the rest of the IHG family.

Pros: The staff are great and very attentive. Our room was clean and elegant
Cons: TV entertainment was lacking. Wish we could have ordered a movie. But there was not even a TV guide, so we had no idea what would be coming on when. Every movie we found was halfway through already. Why is there no on-sscreen TV guide? We also went swimming at the hotel pool and when we went outside to lay in the sun there were no loungers out there. It is set up for seating only- but there are no shade umbrellas or canopies to enjoy the seating area on a sunny day.

Pros: The hotel is really nice. Lots of amenities. The room was large and clean. Staff were all really friendly.
Cons: The Mountain View room that I paid more for is on the highway. Would be nice if they told you that you would have highway noise all night. Hallway noise seems excessively loud. Someone was going in and out of a door near our room all night long.

Pros: Absolutely beautiful!!! Staff was very nice. (Especially they valet and doormen.) Convenient location!
Cons: There was an odd smell in the room. You adapted to it pretty quickly but always noticed as you walked into the room. It would be nice to have a microwave in the room. When traveling you never seem to be able to finish meals out, and would be great to heat leftovers as a late-night snack.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Read House has a “grande dame” feel, the lobby and common areas are nostalgic and evoke a Gatsby era vibe. The billiards room was a neat touch which provided a place to enjoy after hours without having to be directly in the bar, which was great with my teenager. Location is a reasonable walking distance to many of Chattanooga’s main attractions.
Cons: Housekeeping was a bit sporadic, we had to request service at one point. But as a positive, the response was immediate once service was requested.

Pros: Friendly staff
Cons: Hallway noise
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Towels were soft and fluffy! Chocolate chip cookies in the evening were most welcome.
Cons: Cold coffee in the early evening.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Hotel breakfast and location were good. Turning left on Cummings Highway when leaving the hotel, (at the bottom of the hill), gets you to downtown in less than 15 to 20 mins. Its a straight shot. Access to the Aquarium, the Inline Railroad, and eateries are available downtown. There is a Cracker-barrel, Jacks, and 3 Amigos restaurant right across the street and all were good. There is a Walmart close by as well.
Cons: I did not care for the bellman's cart. I prefer the older ones with a framed flatbed that allows you to hang clothes on the top rod. The mattress on the sofa bed pull-out could have been better, but I think that is hard to find in any hotel.
6.3 Good
Pros: Breakfast was delicious and fresh - Maria worked hard to replenish items as they went out
Cons: Mold in shower - peeling ceiling in bathroom falling on me during shower
9.3 Excellent
Pros: The pool was amazing with an amazing view.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Having an indoor and outdoor pool was nice in case the weather was bad. The breakfast choices were delicious. Our TV did not work and they sent someone up to fix it. When it did not work the second day, they provide compensation off of our bill for the inconvenience.
Cons: There was nothing we didn't like.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Check in was quick and the breakfast was delicious.
Cons: The outdoor swimming pool was a bit of a let down. The photo was misleading as to its size. It was very small. My family did not use the pool because it was so packed.
4.0 Okay
Pros: It had a vacancy.
Cons: The room smelled stale. The shower wouldn't hold a consistent temperature.I called the front desk at midnight because some people were being very loud for 30 minutes right under my window. The clerk was REAL annoyed and did absolutely nothing.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The room was super clean and big enough for 4 people. I appreciate the extra counter space in the bathroom, also.
Cons: Nothing
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Great variety of hot breakfast items. Amazingly friendly and helpful staff. Wonderful sitting areas indoors and outside. Has both an indoor heated pool and an outdoor pool.
Cons: Only thing that would have made it better is if there was a hot tub
7.0 Good
Pros: Excellent pool for kids.
Cons: Breakfast 1st a.m. good/2nd morn not so good. Back entry door by parking needs repair-would not open sometimes. Hard to find-not well-marked/not close to many restaurants. Nothing in room to assist tourists in finding food or activities.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Great selection of breakfast foods, excellent pool for families, perfect location convenient to many local attractions.
Cons: Lower laundry prices.

Pros: Great location. Loved the spacious kitchen and dining area. The staff were super, friendly, and helpful! The breakfast was great! It had a great selection, and I was particularly touched by the way the dining room manager personally helped me get food to take back to the room for three kids! The staff at the front desk were so personable and helpful, they made me and my kids feel very welcome (Beth especially), so I definitely would want to come back!
Cons: Even better if the Queen Studio had a separate area with seating away from the bedroom area for quiet reading and visiting!

Pros: Better than usual breakfast. Pleasant staff. Loved the shower & kitchen set-up. Fire pit & grill were a nice touch!
Cons: The bed/pillows were very comfy however they DID NOT smell clean! Stale, “slept on” smell. Should have complained especially for the price charged. If not for this we would have given an excellent rating.

8.8 Excellent
Pros: Rooms were great. Had everything that we needed for a family with small children. Staff was wonderful and helpful. Close to everything. Several restaurants within walking distance.
Cons: Wish the shower head had been bigger. It may not seem like much, but it is nice after a long day on the road, to have a shower that will cover your body. They need more space for families to be able to sit down to enjoy the breakfast. Also, they need a sign out by the road to let you know where the hotel is. We drove by it several times before we found the road to it.

Pros: Nice new hotel on the outskirts of Chattanooga. Plenty of things to do within a short drive but none of the noise of the larger city. Brand new hotel so everything still smelled new. We booked this room for a guest speaker at our church. The staff was very kind as we checked him in and left some items in his room to welcome him to town. This will be our place of choice for future guests.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Bed slept very well Room extremely comforting..
Cons: Tub needed cleaning No bench in bathroom area.coffee pot not cleaned.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: The rooms were very nice and spacious, clean, breakfast was good, staff was nice
Cons: The only thing I didn’t like was there was no curtain or anything in the shower. It was just a glass door. My family of 5 had to wait to use the restroom if someone was in the shower.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Very clean, friendly staff
Cons: No secure WiFi and I could not do my work on my computer. There’s supposed to be a secure WiFi with a login but it automatically hooks up to the non-secure WiFi.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Very nice modern, upmarket and clean. Staff was very friendly!
Cons: Breakfast with powdered eggs and non meat sausages could have been a lot better!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything! The room was wonderful and huge! The bed was super comfortable!
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Nice property, very modern and new
Cons: No towels in the room. Elevator floors were so sticky it felt like you could walk out of your shoes. The free breakfast was just okay. English muffins were dried out and they ran out of butter. After we checked in we went to the front desk to tell them about the towels and immediately left for dinner. Upon our return the front desk employee was sitting in their car near the entrance and told as we walked by that our towels were on the front desk. A little unusual.
6.3 Good
Pros: The selection of breakfast items was good. The room was nice with a lot of space. The location.... see below.
Cons: 1.) The location...which I know you have no control over, but the general location is rather un-kept and appears "in-the-rough." The City of Ringgold or Catoosa County would greatly benefit from keeping that location landscaped and groomed. 2.) Springhill Suites should offer the handicap room (#100 with a roll-in shower) with a.) double beds; b.) the shower area separated from the toilet area for obvious reasons; and c.) a sink near the coffee pot. A person shouldn't have to go into the bathroom to use a sink.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything would stay here again and tell my friend
8.0 Excellent
Pros: The desk and breakfast staff was friendly. The housekeeping staff was helpful and courteous. The location allowed for walking to area attractions along the riverfront. The breakfast that was included was good and had a variety of items. The room was spacious and clean.
Cons: When we booked we were not told there would be additional charges for parking. For as much as we paid per night, we felt parking should have been included. We didn’t even use valet parking, we parked ourselves and still had to pay a daily rate. Also, the walls are very thin. Two of the three nights we were kept awake or awaken by loud neighboring guests. We could hear most things both on our floor as well as above us.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: The staff was very friendly and helpful including staff st breakfast,
Cons: The pillows were very flat and flimsy. As flat as they were could have used more. We were really shocked and didn’t bring our own for the first time when traveling. The lighting design in the bathroom is really disruptive for those who may be sleeping while another is using the bathroom. Extremely bright. Light for toilet area by itself would have been greatly appreciated,
6.0 Good
Pros: It is new.
Cons: Furnishing looked very cheap. The smallest swimming pool I have ever seen at at hotel. Eight dollars to park. Within a mile there is several hotels in the same price range that is much better. Stayed at several Marriots this was by far the worst.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Was close to everything. Polite staff. Beautiful view of the river.
Cons: Seemed a little overpriced even though it was one of the cheaper ones in the area. Definitely paying for the location
9.5 Excellent
Cons: price, it was expensive
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Almost all desk workers were extremely courteous and professional, attentive and responsive, especially Denise. Ashlyn did a great job with our event. Patio stayed clean and restaurant was definitely above expectations. Cleaning staff knew how to treat guests, including being aware of giving them right of way at all times.
Cons: A couple of times the desk was unmanned and could have used a bell or buzzer when workers step away or are chatting with valet or seated at tables in dining area. Maybe some plants on patio area would make it even more welcoming.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: The location is very good for games at Suntrust Park.It is very close to the Mall and plenty of eating locations. The location is actually about 8/10 of a mile to Suntrust Park do not walk. They do offer some sort of shuttle service for $5 to the ballpark, which would have been nice to know since I paid $22 for parking each night at the stadium.
Cons: Location under renovation, which made sleeping in impossible. Not enough parking as I had to park along the curb in front of the hotel every night after the Braves games. No hot water the first morning when showering made for quick shower and religious experience. Room is too small for 3 adults. No couch and very cramped.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything was very clean, well kept, quiet, and extremely friendly staff.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The location on the river was perfect and convenient to all the attractions we visited. The staff was amazing and very helpful.
Cons: I did not like the sliding door to the bathroom as it did not lock. The suite sleeps up to 6 and we had our kids that kept wanting to play with the door or open with someone in there. It was handicap accessible so I understood from that point.
5.0 Okay
Cons: The bill
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The room was clean and the amenities in the room were just what we needed.
Cons: No

Cons: The chlorine smell in the pools seemed a little strong but honestly I’m not used to chlorine at all so maybe I’m just sensitive. It didn’t prevent me from swimming for an hour each day. I would just prefer a salt water pool.

Pros: Breakfast was incredible. Went twice each day. Gravy: perfect, biscuits: perfect, cinnamon rolls: there are no English words to describe. Loved having the newspaper to read.
Cons: The suite could have been more of a suite (i.e. 2 distinct rooms with 2 tv's).

Pros: We got in late and slept in so we missed breakfast. I went down and got coffee and juice and was impressed by the cleanliness of the breakfast area.
Cons: Breakfast should be until 11:00 haha
5.5 Okay
Pros: Nice staff and they tried to accommodate us by switching rooms and they gave us something out of the pantry because I had payed cash apon arrival
Cons: Had to change rooms not once but twice. One time because the bathroom water would not stop running and the other had little to no air

Pros: What I liked most about the hotel was that it was beautiful, clean, and comfortable. The staff was friendly and we loved the free hot breakfast.
Cons: What I liked least about the hotel was that there were no snack machines on each floor with the drink machines. Also, the prices of the drinks were astronomical! They were $2.50 in the machines!
