Good room in which to have our dog Half board dinner. Very limited menu and poor. Full diner menu looked fine
It was a good expecience. The rooms are cozy and confortables. Quiet place. Improve the breakfast. Dining room should be separated from the reception.
very romantic:very nice eny one from my frends that will take a vacation in north spain i will recomand casa de campo non
Good location, clean in general, not bad service. Walls are too thing, be sure you don't have noisy people next door. Food not great.
Its location between the Picos de Europa mountains and the Asturian beaches. The friendliness of the staff. The dividing wall with other bedrooms was insufficiently sound insulated so that even normal conversations could be clearly heard.
The location, wonderfull place, nice comon spaces and large rooms. Quite noisy in the early morning.
Location, location, location. Superb.
The staff was friendly and very helpful. The use of the internet in the loby was free. Breakfast buffet was generous.
comfort, welcome excellent locasl restaurants < 400 m walk nobody else there and on the last night when there was, it sounded as if the sound proofing might be lacking and irksome also high local traffic noise
Good modern hotel, clean and well located a few km from Cangas de Onis. I spent 10 days in Spain and the food in this hotel was the worst I experienced.
Spectacular location, very good staff and management team The acustics in the rooms is very bad (one hears easily noise from other rooms)
Very nice hotel right in Covadonga. Be forewarned that this is the only place you will be able to eat at if you go to covadonga. Food was great and waiter went out of his way to have my daughter cooked pasta although it wasnt on the menu and didnt even charge us a lot for it! Rooms are nice and big. In the middle of nowhere but that was kinda the point.
The hotel is beautifully located in the pictorial town of Covadonga and close to the heart of Picos de Europa (national park in Asturias). View to the cathedral and cave. Our experience was horrible. We paid 100 Euro excluding breakfast for a room in the addict with only roof windows. The temperature outside was mild (mid twenties). The room was extremely hot (above 30) despite the fact the the A/C was turned on at maximum. The receptionist claimed there is nothing wrong with the A/C and anyway they have no other rooms. She suggested to open the roof windows. This did not help and even worse it started to rain and the windows were leaking directly on the beds. Trying to shut them off produced huge amounts of spilling on the beds. We had to sleep like that all night. In addition the TV did not work and the shower spilled all over the bath. I strongly suggest to avoid this hotel.
Great location. Modern and stylish decor.
a wonderful hotel . We celebrated our 25th Wedding Anniversary at the hotel and it was perfect nothing at all
the room area and the location
The restaurant served a good selection of food well prepared. The hotel and staff were satisfactory and there was a defined sense of history in the building. I had not realised how confined the area around the hotel was and the crowds, coaches and cars that were visiting the adjacent shrine and church.
quiet, beautiful surroundings....very professional, very friendly staff, an exellent choice.
The elegance, the beauty of the hotel and surroundings, helpfulness and amicability of staff.
the rooms the breakfast was not good
Delicious breakfast. Lovely rooms and comfortable beds. Amazing location! easy to get to with public transportation if needed.
Nicely decorated cosy hotel located central in nature park. Great value for money. Smoking of guests in the hotel lobby and rooms.
Easy to find in the mountains as it is on a main roundabout but set back and quiet location Moderate restaurant
Clean , Brilliant Breakfast . no
Fantastic location for hikers.
The location of the hotel was excellent and staff very friendly
Affordable luxuary in a fantastic natural setting Waitress rushed us with our order for evening meal because we took a little time translating the menu and making our choice
location appearence from ouside not great - dated but fine inside
the room was very clean and comfortable staff seemed uninterested, dinner menu was very expensive with no alternatives
very old fasion but very nice hotel , prime location near the mountain i like there everythink
Very handy for cable car and walking up a dead end but beautifull valley in the Picos mountains. Nothing but nothing in the way of community, hotel is isolated (which for some may be a very good point).
I liked the terrific scenery and view from our hotel window. The room was very clean and beds comfortable THe reception staff were not welcoming. On arrival we were told the restaurant was fully booked but we could order in the bar. we waited one and a half hours for a roll, when it came half of it was frozen in the middle - my husbands was barely edible and then he had an upset stomach that night so we did not take breakfast instead we drove to Potes for breakfast
Excellent view over pastures and mountains. Large comfortable room.
Its location, at the end of a mountain road, surrounded by mountains. The room and indoor balcony with fabulous views.
Brand new Hotel. Opened August 2008. Nice buffet breakfast.
Hotel is attractive regional design with clean modern rooms comfortable, well equipped with all amenities. Extremely good value with breakfast included. Poor sign-age. No hotel sign visible approaching from the east. Only a very small sign approaching from west. Therefore unnecessarily difficult to find hotel if unfamiliar with the area.
Great Hotel, huge room (triple), very good facilities and an excelent price.
I liked that we were close to wildlife and positioned in lush, scenic countryside. Close to Covadonga and close to Llanes and other coastal beaches and miradors (vistas). The food. First night's dinner was bland and dull. Breakfasts (included) were worse. Uninspiring.
very clean and good quality accommodation at an attractive rate; staff pleasant and friendly - nothing not to like! dining room lacked atmosphere, but at the rate we had that was acceptable- food was of good quality and well prepared
A good place place to stay, comfortable, good food. Unable to control the noisy air conditioning.
Lovely setting in the mountains, modern rooms, good breakfast
We were warmly welcomed by Claudio and Patricia, who made sandwiches for us even though the cafeteria was not open. We decided to spend the afternoon relaxing on the hammock and sunbed in the garden as the setting was so beautiful. The cleanliness of our room and the house in general was outstanding. When we were leaving, Claudio told us to get in touch with him if we had any problems for the rest of our holiday.
Good location in Picos Europa, good menu, value for money
Good size room, excellent food (both dinner and breakfast) and although the staff spoke little English they were very helpful and friendly.
Hotel Facilities like open fire place, furniture... Breakfast was quite expensive for the quality.
We used this hotel as a waypoint going through the mountains for which it could not have been at a better place directly en-route. The staff were very welcoming, the food was great, and the owner even garaged our motorcycles to keep the elements of them during the stay. We highly recommend this hotel to any motorcyclist who need a good place to stay while going through the mountains.
Convenience, friendly and accommodating staff.
Everything was more than satisfactory, the food was excellent the room was fine and the staff were first class. the price was unbelievable.
The peace of the place,
It's a lovely, rustic hotel, full service with a good restaurant. We thought the location was superb. It is located along the southern border of Picos de Europa in a tiny, picture postcard-worthy village. We were able to explore the entire village on foot in about 30 minutes. It was a memorable experience and a really good value for the money.
very quiet at nights, friendly staff, ample parking and good food at a reasonable price.
Great location fo nearby walks Very miserable, unhelpful staff. Restaurant closed. Little choice of restaurant in walking distance - Arena de Cabrales or Cain would be a better choice
Close proximity to the Care de Gorge walk
Great position. Room functonal. Some of the staff a bit grizly. Breakfast very Spartan. If trecking worth bringing own stove if you want a cup of tea
It is supposed to be on the shores of the lake, but the lake is almost 1km away.
Hostel type facilities were what we expected. Simple, spaceous, room with rural views.Good simple food and a nice house wine. Forest fire in nearby mountain added excitement!
This hotel is OK but is recommended only for people who must stay in that particular neighbourhhod overnight.
the price and the location the hotel staff
Everything, namely athemosphere and prices of the bar
Very comfortable, very well located for those visiting this region (Picos da Europe). It has a restaurant with optimum food. Very good price No breakfast included in room price. For those who want to shopping, entertainment or walking is not the best choice. It is outside the urban center.
Price and location Room too small to move in !!
Location 3 miles from the lakes at Riano
Quiet and nice location, easy to get there. Helpful staff
Location, price and rooms thought optional breakfast was poor
Location No comfortable public seating area
The best thing is the location right below Fuente De mountain and next to the cable-car. Very poor sound-proofing. Everything in adjoining rooms could be heard. Pillows were small and thin and not easy to sleep on. Doors to room, balcony & bathroom all seemed to have dropped and scraped on the floor.
close to the telesferico the staff was not flexible and just formal, not friendly. The information about services outside the hotel is very poor and the staff has not knowledge about it
The location was lovely - a 10 minute walk up through a wooded path took you to the lovely town of Covadonga - with a beautiful small chapel carved out of the rockface and a religious centre for many centuries. no
Staff was very friendly and has given us many information on what to do. The position is really nice and easy to find.
This hotel has a few rooms, but is very clean..In front of the hotel is the private parking and the bus transfer to the "Lagos". In summer you are not allowed to drive the "Lagos" by your own car. Very understandable. The hotel has no restaurant. There is one next door. I do not recommend very much, but the Peregrino, next to the anctuary, is rather good If you want to take a nap during daytime it is impossible in summer time when we were there.-. After dark very pleasant.
