Pros: Very very incredibly welcoming and caring hosts! It is super near to the Airport and the host picks you up there. The studio is at the back of the house of the hosts, nicely situated with privacy and nice view to the garden. It is a nice house with fruit garden and garden shower, not far from the beach. nice little town with everything to shop or dine, nice beach, ebverything there for a weekend. ideal for a quick trip to the sea from Athens or the airport.

Pros: Thanos and his family have thought of everything. The apartment is spotlessly clean and fitted out to the highest standard. Sitting on the balcony overlooking their wonderful garden eating home baked biscuits and drinking their own wine. Marvellous

Pros: A lovely room, balcony to sit outside. Incredibly friendly people. We were welcomed with a glass of wine and cookies, there were all sorts of goodies for a breakfast. I would not know what one could wish for more.

Cons: Nothing, really nothing. The weather might have been a bit warmer, but then that was the one thing that our hosts could NOT influence. Otherwise, they had thought of everything.

Pros: The apartment is very nice and clean. And the family is friendly and hospitable. They take very good care of their guest. We can highly recommend Thanos Studios

Pros: We had to rush to airport in the morning and we have forgot remote battery, so owner kindly send it by post to our home address! Awersome service even after stay in the studio !!!

Pros: I loved everything about the studio above a beyond my expectations the host was amazingly kind even made us lunch with wine and had all kinds of snacks for us to have at no extra charge specially homemade cookies.

Pros: The property was lovely, it felt very homely and there was much more space than I imagined. I stayed for 2 nights a couple of days apart and the staff were so friendly and welcoming. They drove me to and from the airport 3 times and looked after my bags. So reasonably priced would recommend it to anyone needing to stay near the airport or the beach!

Pros: Lovely unit for a stop over, great family run business very friendly! The unit where I stayed was brand new and very clean. They offer pick up and drop off to airport!

Pros: Great family-run place close to the airport. Free airport pickup is AMAZING, as cabs are fairly expensive. All who we interacted with were super friendly and helpful. Great place to stay before or after a flight from ATH!

Cons: Really the only thing not great was breakfast, but that really isn't anything important. We booked for the location and price, not food!

Pros: It was very spacious and clean. The apartment looked very nice and the staff easy very nice and helpful. They had breakfast items in the kitchen for us. The shuttle picked us up from the airport for free and took us back for 10€. They even have a cell phone for each room so that if you’re in the city and need them you can call them anytime! They had menus so we ordered food (by texting them our order and they called for us!) and relaxed the night before we flew home.

Cons: The mattress wasn’t super comfortable, but the comforter and sheets were SO soft!

Cons: Location is not conducive to walking anywhere, although there is always someone willing to drive anywhere!

Pros: We had the most amazing time at sunset apartments! The family that runs the apartment are so beautiful and helpful. Fodas greeted us upon arrival and gave us some amazing suggestions for things to do and places to eat. The fridge was stocked with fruit, juice and water and we also had toast, croissants and spreads. The apartment is about a 20 minute walk to shops/restaurants but they offer a shuttle service 24/7 to take you wherever you need to go. We enjoyed our stay so much here and appreciate how kind and lovely Fodas and Georgia were! Thanks guys, you’re the greatest! :)

Pros: Sunset Apartments was a nice place. Very close to the airport and a cute beach. The staff was wonderful. Great communication and very accommodating. Helped pick us up from the port, shuttled us to dinner and arranged two shuttles next day to the airport (all extra charges). The apartment was large, enough room for four adults (was on holiday with my aunt, uncle and cousin).

Pros: The host was great. The taxi arrangement to and from the airport was very helpful and much cheaper than a normal taxi.

Pros: Great location for us to stopover with our flight schedule. The host family were lovely, picking us up at the airport even though our flight was delayed. We spent 3 weeks in greece and the homemade meal that the hosts wife brought up to us after a long day of travelling was one of my favourites! Real greek salad, Pastitsio (greek pasta bake), bread and plenty of wine for 2. The next morning they dropped us back to the airport at 4:30am for a good price. Lovely family.

Pros: The hotel was beautiful and very clean the bathroom and bedroom were both a very generous size. The breakfast and dinner here was superb and location right in the heart of all the main attractions we wanted to visit and the shops too couldn’t have picked a better hotel or location.

Pros: New and feels cutting edge. Good location right in the heart of everything. A/C in the rooms works well on hot summer days.

Cons: The way in which the hotel is new and cutting edge feels like it was put together very quickly, and in a few years time won't be that nice. Showers seem to leak water all over the bathroom. Service at the restaurant/bar on the rooftop is mediocre.

Pros: Loved my one-night stay at the Electra Metropolis Hotel in Athens. The hotel was beautiful, and my room was clean and modern. I visited Athens in August and the air conditioning was superb! Breakfast was included in my room fee and was delicious and abundant, which I enjoyed at my table with a stunning view of the Acropolis. The rooftop pool looked lovely, but I didn't have time to use it because of my quick stay with so much to see. The staff was amazing and recommended a wonderful local place for lunch. Loved this hotel and would stay here again!

Cons: The rooftop restaurant is terrible! The view is incredible. The food there is as bad as it gets. Take in the view during the free breakfast; the meals they serve there at all other times is not worth paying for (it is disgusting, masquerading as "haute cuisine" The spa is nice but lacks any written guidelines to ensure guest tranquility. Letting children use the spa and having no rules relating to that can ruin the experience for other guests. Kids shouldn't be in the hot tub/heated pool area unsupervised. Nor should they be learning how to swim or doing water tricks. It's supposed to be peaceful. Children shouldn't ruin experience for other guests. We couldn't use sauna or steam room because it was overrun with young kids. I have no problem with children but the lack of any rules or restrictions as it pertains to the spa is really problematic at Electra Metropolis. as a result my enjoyment of facilities was extremely limited.

Cons: It would be nice if the hostel provided an extra key card to leave in the socket for the power in the rooms that don’t have their own bathroom inside. It got a little annoying as everyone would take their card with them as they left to use the facilities and the power would keep shutting off. If you have someone willing the keep their card in at all times, it’s not an issue!

The walk to a metro station was not long though in the summer heat of Athens I wish it had been a bit closer. Still the location was good.

Pros: Great location really near to all the main sights and only short walk to the acropolis. The kitchen was very basic but as a souvlaki was only 2.50eur you don't need to eat in much!! Air con was a godsend!

Pros: We have stayed at Athens Gate the last 3 travels to Greece. We love the service and location of the the hotel. Athens Gate is our ‘go to’ hotel when we arrive in Athens.

Pros: Property was in an excellent location, close to all the ancient monuments and hop on hop off buses. First time in Athens and had a room on a high floor with a view of the Acropolis. Staff were incredibly friendly and the hotel was very clean and had daily servicing. View from breakfast on the rooftop was amazing.

Pros: Clean, comfortable rooms. Pool with a great view. Area is safe, not in the middle of busiest (sadly often dirty) areas.

Cons: Location - it’s good to be away from the crowded/busy/dirty areas but be aware that it’s a little removed from the main sites (Easy taxi to Acropolis but it’s a fair walk if you need metro). Expensive breakfast - just go to a cafe around the corner with terraces by a park. It has more of a business feel, nothing specific for kids, pool is more for adults too and water is a little chilli.

Pros: I was on a tour. The first night was on me. very good room and this extended to second night. Off i went on the tour and returned for last night. This room was very small and nothing like the first night. There was painting and construction on floor and we had to pass through this to get to the room. The hotel did call to let me know about the length of work and offered a new room. I was too tired to move. They did send up a lovely tray of fruit and bottle water. I think the size of the room was picked by the tour not the hotel. The staff was great.

Cons: The business center. Not personal at all. I walked in asking about the getting a boarding pass. The lady pointed to the computer. I explained that I was not knowledgeable about computers. I was told to key in my airline and follow instructions. No help. She was not busy. I guest I look like a tourist and not a business person.

Pros: Our family enjoyed the rooftop pool as a wonderful break from sightseeing, and the included breakfast far exceeded expectations !!

Pros: THE VIEW OF THE ACROPOLIS AND LOCATION

Cons: Had booked private tour of Acropolis 4 weeks in advance through the hotel. Morning of the tour - waiting in the lobby and no one shows. Hotel never bothered to confirm the day before with the tour guide. It was a complete mess. As I go to catch a cab infant the of the hotel to take my family to the acropolis because we have no guide; the bellhop SCREAMS at our female cab driver and makes her cry telling her that they have a contract with a cab company and she is not allowed to be there and to get out of here. I-am Greek and speak Greek and I was horrified. My young kid was completely scared. I went in later that day to make a formal compliant about all the things that went wrong; I had all comfirmations, everything in writing, and showed him and then explained about the bell hop and the APPALLING BEHAVIOR he displayed. The manager did confirm that they do have contracts with cab companies. So in my Trip Advisor review the hotel manager said they do not have any contracts but obviously his employees are not on the same page. sorry to say - I would NEVER RECOMMEND THIS HOTEL -

Cons: The outdoor pool closes at 7:00 pm (!!!!) and kids are not allowed in the indoor pool after 2:00 pm... so as we arrived at 6:45 pm, it was impossible to jump in the water after a long trip and 38 degrees outside!! Not really welcoming!!!

Pros: Very nice hotel, great location. The room was quite big and the bed was sooo comfortable. I was impressed by the design.

Cons: They could improve breakfast. It's ok to have the same breakfast everyday but food that should be warm was cold constantly.

Pros: The hotel is only 3 years old so it looks great! A very sexy and contemporary design. The room was awesome! On the fifth floor, with a view. (Check out my photos) The staff working when I arrived was great. The woman working even drew a line on a map to show me where to take the airport bus in the morning. The guy working pointed to a great restaurant down the street where I had an AMAZING dinner. It's only a block away from some GREAT shopping. Had I had another day, it would have been served me well!

Cons: Yes, it's walkable from the port, but it's uphill...and a good 15 minutes. It's not a QUICK walk by any means. While the welcome staff at the front desk were GREAT, The guy that was there in the morning seemed like he could have cared less. Just to see what he'd say, I asked him where to find the airport bus. He just pointed out the window and said to keep walking toward the port and I'd eventually see it. (It's NOT that easy to spot.) I already knew where I was going, of course, thanks to the night staff. Also, there's no real view to speak of, other then other buildings. But it was quiet.

Pros: Location, taxi arranged from airport paid on arrival, good local restaurant 2 minutes away for a one night stay before catching the ferry, no complaints!

Pros: This is a quality hotel (true quality for money paid) that is a rare find in Piraeus. Just 10 min from the port and from the Metro station. Quiet and very clean and comfortable. Really appreciated my room.

Cons: They blocked the amount of money a week before my arrival and unblocked it after our departure (only when I wrote them an email). This was the only unpleasant thing about this hotel.

Some South African people we met said it was the best hotel they had stayed in during their stay in Greece and I can see why .

Pros: The hotel is clean, breakfast was delicious and the staff was professional, it was a nice stay in general, the room also was well equipped and the location of the hotel is ok in a quiet area for those who want a quiet stay.

Cons: the hotel location is out of the city center, the room is a little bit old and small, I asked for a top floor room with a view, I didn't get that, the electricity in the room was flickering, I told the reception and they sent an electrician but the problem wasn't fixed.

Cons: I paid for two nights around $300 US This is what i got : 1.not cleaned bed sheets first night and i call them they said no dry clean now !!!they sent the car parking guy to change them . 2.i wanted to have a meal they said we only have snacks till 7 PM the buffet opens really disappointing as all i wanted is a burger so i ended up eating at an indian resturant next to it 3.i went to have a swim at the pool asked for towels me and my wife and never got them the pool girl even didnt do an effort to get them or showed interest 4.the pool water it self was disgusting and dirty i think the filters are not working and no cleaning materials have been used for long 5.the room bath room is really small as for the amount i paid i really got a better Room at other hotels in athens 6.i have travelled to more than 50 country’s around the world staying at more than 100 hotels this was really disappointing specially the attitude of the workers If i could i would ask for a full refund because honestly i felt i was ripped off for the at least not having a clean bed the first night and god knows if they cleaned it also on the second day Really the house keeping should be hammered and parking guys are the only workrs doing the job properly For sure not a five star hotel i really had a hard time and am angry and i hope guests dont fall and get into what i got to in the near future . Cons: my room had a bizarre décor with "cheap" plastic colourful lamps and animals badly painted/attached on the wall. It looked like a kindergarten room and there was nothing arty about it; the pics in the site don't reflect it at all. Noisy street until 2-3am and windows don't insulate the noise.

The staff below the general manager are completely ineffective in dealing with problems and the GM is not around on weekends or after hours. Everything from check in to billing was bad. Room stank despite being non smoking. Breakfast food was "tour group" style - all pre cooked - nothing to order and frequently ran out. The gym was terrible and dirty with no wipes and broken equipment. Wifi was erratic and slow. Smoking in public areas was very annoying

Pros: Good American breakfast, good freshly brewed coffee. Clean room, comfy bed, well stocked minibar and a bathroom offering both a bath tub and shower in our unit which was a bonus.

Cons: The location is not ideal for tourists, it is better to stay closer to the Acropolis and Plaka which is within walking distance. The hotel location is perhaps better suited for business stays or economic stays if time will be spent travelling in and out the centre daily to the may sites for tourists.

Cons: Booked a non-smoking room, but the whole floor stank of cigarette smoke, and the room had clearly had the smell masked with odour-eaters. There was a constant whiff from outside. Heating was left on high, and the windows did not open fully. Bottle of water was chargeable - although when I complained, it was not charged.

Fresh and clean interriors, soundproofing (I guess, because I've heard loud companies of people here and there in the hotel and it's areas, but never when I was in the room), great comfort in the room, very good breakfast. The hotel's 'Tavern' at the beach left all the nice impressions

Cons: Swimming pool is small, but there is a pretty good beach not far away from hotel, so you don't really need a big pool in this hotel. Ironing facilities are paid only - it's still ok, just would be useful (as for me) to know this in advance. Noisy and busy road, but soundproof windows take care of the problem.

Wifi included and a phone to take out with you loaded with maps, locations of restaurants and so forth. Appeared to be well secured, keys to enter and exit the building. Quiet, no other apartment noise, no street noise up on the 6th floor. Concierge available on arrival, though not 24 hour service. Concierge Angela was excellent, very helpful.

Cons: For the money we spent it was not that comfortable or feel luxurious. But our main grouse was the ac was extremely poor quality and didn’t function well. It was a suite and somehow counter intuitively the ac was fixed on the end away from the beds in that big room. So the poor quality ac was totally non efficient.

Cons: The area was very dangerous as many locals let us know during the day. I wish someone had warned us before the visit. There was only one restaurant inside. It was understaffed and not very clean. I put the sign on the door to have the room cleaned. When I returned, it was not cleaned so we called twice for towels. After an hour we got them, but the room was never cleaned our entire stay.

Pros: This is my favourite hotel in Athens. Good location, close to Psyri, Monastraire and Plaka, and has the very nice outdoor roof are with the pool and hangout lounge.

Cons: 1. We chose this hotel ONLY because the Kayak info said a "hotel shuttle" is available. We wanted to be close to the airport to fly out the next morning. We thought we would save the expense of a taxi to and from the airport. There was no shuttle. When we call the hotel, they told us no such thing as a shuttle. They would only arrange to send me a taxi @ €45.00. And this could only be arranged via email...not over the ph. We simply took a cab to the hotel # €43.00. To the airport the next morning...no shuttle. We took a taxi @ €44.00. If you people do no have a shuttle like we are use to in the US...do not mislead innocent pepole like us. That is false advertising. The availability of a shuttle in the ONLY reason why we picked this hotel. 2. At the front desk I changed out some US$ for € after checking in. We plan to do some last minute shopping before we fly out the next day. What we did not know was that, that very day was a national holiday (the Verging Mary Holiday ) all the stores were closed. On checking out the next morning they would not take back the € currency. I told them that we did not know that there was a holiday. They said they can't take it back. That was just not right. These 2 things has left a bitter taste in my mouth. I am not a happy camper...especially with the shuttle issue. That was flat out wrong. You can't say that there is a shuttle when there is none. People from the US is use to taking a free shuttle ride to and from the airport to hotels and rent a car locstions.

Pros: We didn’t stay long in Athens but it seems it was walking distance to many places. The view from the roof top pool is great. It is a big hotel.

Pros: Rooms are quite modern. The food was exquisite (I recommend the Greek salad and the lentil soup). Some said that the neighbourhood the hotel is located was not nice. In my opinion it wasn’t the nicest one in Athens but where I come from, it was normal. But I did really like that it was near the metro, which was close to Acropolis (only 3-4 stations to get there).

Cons: My family and I decided to have dinner at the hotel’s rooftop restaurant because of its amazing view to the Acropolis. We couldn’t sit on the outside tables (and most tables were already booked) but still we decided to stay and have dinner inside. I think they were short of staff in the kitchen because everyone’s food took almost two hours to arrive. In fact, some left in the middle of waiting because it was taking so long. The food was good, though. Same as the room service.
