5.0 Okay
Pros: The bed and pillows were more comfortable than i would have thought, the breakfast staff was amazing to us especially the guy that was working at the time i wish i caught his name.
Cons: Arrival wasn't good. Watchouts are $35 hold on cards and a $200 hold if paid with cash and Bonnie is sure to let you know. We arrived to NY after midnight and wasn't able to check in until about 1am due to finding an atm and what not. They do have an atm on site but it will not do deposits. Almost $200 for one "mornings" stay i thought was pricey. After that's all said and done the only thing i would say is if your bringing small children there's no tub at this location.

Pros: Available room - many other hotels on SI closed due to COVID 19.
Cons: Horrible place. I found out that there was a multiple victim murder in this hotel a few years ago. They are taking paying guests but it is also a homeless shelter. Did not feel safe, especially with the need for cleanliness in the COVID 19 pandemic.

9.0 Excellent
Pros: The house was very beautiful and clean and was in a great location. Right off the beach and a short bus ride away from the ferry it was very convient and quiet, away from the hustle and bustle of the rest of the city.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: The service was arguably the best I've ever had. If you're looking for a place with real warmth and personality, this is the place for you. A bit worn down and rough around the edges, but very homey and welcoming nonetheless, and excellent value for money.
Cons: The heater pipes knocked frequently in the night due to heat rising. Really beyond anyone's control. I do appreciate that the room was warm and toasty on a January night.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Waterfront. View. Price and close to ferry! Friendly staff and very attentive. Loved the B&B. It is older but I think it added to appeal! If considering a trip to NYC, stay here., 7 mins to free ferry to Manhattan. All day parking terminal only $12.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The manager Moe is one of the nicest humans we have ever met! He made us feel at home as soon as we arrived. He was very knowledgable and informative on New York history as well as what we should around the city. The bed and breakfast was cozy, clean and good but what truly exceeded our expectations was the hospitality we received from Moe! I'll definitely be staying here when I'm back in NYC and highly recommend it.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: It was simple & cozy. Was never really there during the day. Just returned at nights to sleep.
Cons: Bathroom in the hallway. But there were no other guests at the time so it wasn't so bad. Just a little inconvience. Not really a big deal. You get used to it.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: It's location was fantastic. Right on the water. The owner upgraded me from a shared bath to a private bath which was very nice of him.
Cons: The room was kind of small, although clean. Also, check in took a little while even though I arrived during the normal check in time. I could not locate anyone at the front desk. That whole process took about 20-25 minutes.

8.8 Excellent
Pros: Excellent value for the money, with a 7-8 min walk to the Staten Island Ferry and a very relaxed 25min trip to downtown Manhattan (and free!). The house is a bit outdated but adequate for most uses. Paul, the owner, always ready to help.
Cons: Considering the price range and Manhattan accessibility, not much. I would add a Microwave to the ground floor room, and some window isolation to make it a bit more cozy, specially in the winter. But nothing too bad.
7.0 Good
Pros: Very nice host! Thanks for letting us use the driveway and the complimentary breakfast. Love the age/uniqueness of the house.
Cons: Needs dark curtains to block the night streetlights, too warm at night, and more plush/soft towels...I think you can raise the price a little to get those items.
3.3 Mediocre
Cons: We reserved the only ground floor room 4 months in advance. When we got there we were told we had the third floor room because he gave our room away. Totally unacceptable. I have difficulty walking since ankle surgery this spring so stairs are not for me. Climbing two flights of spiral stairs with my cane and bag was not a good combination. The pitiful window air conditioner did not help cool the room very much and you couldn’t close the blinds/shutters because then you would cover up the a/c unit so everyone down the street could look in the room. Bathroom had mold and mildew in the tub and in the shower curtain. Used soap was left on the sink. It was a terrible disappointment!! I would not recommend to anyone and if this was a chain would have demanded my money back. Will not book with booking.com again as this experience was horrible.
5.8 Okay
Pros: Convenient location close to St. George transit for Manhattan. Host was polite. Breakfast was tea/coffee, a baked loaf of (sourdough?) bread w/ butter, cream cheese and jam, a banana, a little mandarin/clementine orange (see other notes for negative).
Cons: Bad insulation (old wooden structure). Host could have mitigated this by opening some windows to allow outside air circulation to ventilate prior to my arrival (we'd spoken on phone already discussing my approach). Room had only been partially "spot-cleaned" - leftover clumps of dust "bunnies" on the floor, and the fabric under the nightstand lamps hadn't been changed b/c there were leftover hairs from previous guests. Tight narrow spiral staircase difficult for carrying suitcase (that isn't the host's fault since he didn't build the house, but had I known in advance WHY the price was so cheap, I would have given preference to alternate lodging options). Even at midnight standing in underwear brushing my teeth, the remnant heat leftover from earlier day was still radiating from the ceiling/walls causing relentless sweat. I had to turn the bedroom's little air-conditioning unit on full blast with 2nd help from a plug-in rotating fan to cool the air enough to sleep. Breakfast included a Costco "Kirkland" chewy granola bar and zero protein options. I appreciated that this B&B offers bargain pricing but then discovered why and how = it's cheap because of corner-cutting that might seem tacky to others.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Great location 10-minute walk to Staten Island ferry, and near small stores and laundry. Fun, diverse neighborhood. Room was spacious and comfortable, with nice chairs. Continental breakfast in nook was fine. Host was friendly and accommodating.
Cons: Parking seemed to be a matter of luck, but it worked for our visit. Toilet paper and soap were extreme basic.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful, large, clean room. Excellent location for Staten Island ferry and St. George theater.
Cons: A little street noise, but that's New York.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: The room had an amazing view toward the Verrazano bridge. Old house, creaky floors and stairs. Wonderful. Location was terrific, just a few blocks, or easy bus ride to the ferry. What a way to start the day crossing upper New York Bay.
Cons: Two unfixable. The room was up two flights of stairs (so you have to plan to load anything you will need into your pockets before heading down). The few blocks are STEEP hills (so take the S52 or S42 bus, a free transfer if you got to the New York end of the ferry on the subway).
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Paul was a great host. Loved the house and location. Would stay again.

9.0 Excellent
Pros: Location and staff were the best.
Cons: We were told that they served a continental breakfast but the hotel didn't
10.0 Excellent
Pros: It felt really exclusive and upscale yet warm and welcoming. This was my 2nd time staying at this location and both times I enjoyed myself and loved the scenery. The room was perfect I can only imagine what the suites are like!
Cons: The only problem I had was it was hard getting into because of the way it’s positioned in the Newark airport. I had to go around it a few times.
1.0 Poor
Pros: Nothing
Cons: I didn’t like the fact that despite numerous requests to this hotel I was totally blanked. I understand that in the current situation it’s necessary for all of us to take a hit financially (myself included). This hotel didn’t even do the courtesy of replying to my emails. Even a message turning down my requests would’ve been a lot better than just ignoring me and taking my money anyway. Disappointing to say the least!
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Qyick and easy check in, with a smile.
Cons: one small thing, shower is small.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Great service. The staff was extremely helpful and had me almost fully checked in when I arrived, via the shuttle.
Cons: Some tv channels were fuzzy.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Room was small but modern with nice sitting area. Bathroom was clean, nice walk in shower with glass doors.
Cons: We had to wait a long time for the shuttle to the airport, but since this was amidst the beginning stages of the Coronavirus mess, we were not too upset about this. A bit pricey, but we wanted to stay close to the airport.
1.0 Poor
Cons: We checked out a 1 am because the neighbors were talking so loud
10.0 Excellent

Cons: Very dirty environment. I won't even recommend my worst enemy to stay there, it was stinky from the lobi down to the room and very unsafe for my family so i decided to go search for a better place to spend the night with my family. It was a waste of my money because i didn't spend the night there

Pros: Absolutely nothing
Cons: It was stinking no air conditioner dirty bedsheets. I had to call one of your agents because it was totally inhabitable. I left that same night after two hours and my money was not refunded to me
1.0 Poor
Cons: This place was an absolute dump. In a terrible part of town, screaming and fighting could be heard all night. I had a chair against the door in case someone tried to get in. It quieted down about 4AM and I decided it was a good time to get out of there.
6.0 Good
Pros: Service was professional and the room neatly together. Extremely old styled furniture but very comfortable bed. Never bothered and quiet. Easy to walk straight to downtown of Newark.
Cons: Neighborhood area is not the most comfortable. You really get what you paid for with this hotel's price and rating. But for 1 night, it's easy spot to stay.

Cons: nothing, because i'm not planning on becoming an exterminator !
1.0 Poor
Pros: Nothing at all.
Cons: There were so many things wrong with this place. First of all, the hotel has been been advertised incorrectly and seems like all the information and pictures have not been update. There was a mice in my room and overall cleanliness of the room was poor.
1.0 Poor
Pros: Its very very nasty and customer service they are no good and a lot of people they smoke marijuana over there
Cons: Actually its everything Not good over there nothing nothing nothing everything its very very bad I am sorry to tell you that
1.0 Poor
Pros: The view from my room was the only redeeming quality. And that's just because I appreciate natural light.
Cons: The question SHOULD be "is there anything you LIKED about the room". And if I had to answer that I would say that I liked that it was an unfortunate pit stop we had to make en route to the airport for a waaaay better location.

8.0 Excellent
Cons: No breakfast and due to Corona virus restaurants are closed , end up starving as the hotel restaurant is closed as well

Pros: Great location close to the airport
7.0 Good
Pros: Free shuttle to and from airport. Shuttle is available whenever you would like to go to the airport.
Cons: Housekeeping knocked on the door at 8 am, this is a bit early for a Saturday when checkout is at noon. We had a room near the elevators and the vending machines, people arriving and housekeepers were really loud.
6.0 Good
Cons: They shut down the 24 hour shuttle one minute before I came down, but did not call my room to warn me so I had to pay for a taxi to the airport.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The staff was extremely professional. The room was clean and and inviting. We are at the hotel restaurant. The food was perfect and the staff again was very nice.
3.0 Mediocre
Cons: I chose the hotel because it was close to Newark airport and advertised a free shuttle service. After booking, when I contacted the hotel, they informed me that they did not have a shuttle running and I would have to take a taxi, the front desk was pretty brusque about the situation and not very polite. In the morning, I had a 3 am departure and once again, no shuttle. Had to spend 50 dollars on transportation. I could have stayed at a much better hotel in that price. The curtains in the room were torn and the room smelt like someone had smoked weed in it.

Pros: The room was really nice
Cons: People yelling at night, food, the smell
6.0 Good

7.0 Good
Pros: It still cost us 35$ for a taxi from the airport to the hotel, although it is 2km away.
Cons: There was no breakfast. Only, some readily prepared snack food. The coffee machine was out of order!!!
1.0 Poor
Cons: This hotel is not a 3 1/2 star hotel! Terrible location, very small lobby check in area. No breakfast, no pool, not even water or coffee. Housekeeping was knocking at our door aggressively trying to get in at 9am the day we were checking out!

Cons: How security didn’t even give me a handicapped person enough time to remove my belongings from my car before she threatened to call the tow truck even with me having the proper handicapped plates on my car.

Pros: Na
Cons: It was hot and dirty

Cons: Buffet breakfast was just ok. Not bad, but could have been better. Needed more variety
