Price and that's all. Rooms were clean but old, vanity had multiple cigarette burns and rust in the bain, towels were extremely thin and no wash towels or towels for the bathroom floor, breakfast did not have much variety to choose from. I guess that's what you get for 55 a night..
This place had the rudiest morning desk help! I called the front desk the night of our stay to find out about the hot breakfast time, I was told it was from 6 am until 10 am, I took my grandson for breakfast at 9:30 only to be rudely told that hot breakfast was only until 8 am but there was bagels and coffe, entering the breakfast area to find 2 bagels and dried out toast no butter no ceral no cups for juice or milk and no coffee. I asked the front desk lady if there was anything else or maybe some cereal and was told no I should have been there earlier.. why say 10 am if you are not providing it hot or cold? No mini fridge no coffee no microwave in the rooms. The only thing this place has is a decent pool, the room itself was hot the ac didn't work properly, room smelled musty, stained carpeting no bedspread on bed just a sheet and small blanket the fire detector was chirping when we arrived but the evening desk lady (very nice) did send someone down right away to change it. I was alone with my 3 year old grandson and they but us in a room all the way in the back corner, with no outside lighting. I would not stay there again nor reccommend it to anyone.
Didn't like anything about this hotel It was the worst hotel I ever stay in
Rooms didnt have a mini refrigerator and coffe maker.
I liked that it was available I didn't like that I immediately knew WHY It was available. VERY, VERY DIRTY. Didn't want to touch anything, but had to sleeP. There were mosquitos in the room that I had to hunt down before sleeping. The bed sheets had stains on them- looked fresh..... Yuck.
overall just a terrible hotel
I will not recommed this awful place to anyone
Disappointed even though value priced. A one star at best I will do every thing I can to avoid this place. Ant problem as well. I am embarrassed to admit I stated here and place my name with this review. Hopefully this will help someone else avoid this place. Toast and a bagel do not count as breakfast. no maid service.
The room was filthy. There were large black stains all over the sofa. The AC unit was blowing black filth into the room. it was all over the table. I pulled the sofa out and there was black stuff all over the back of the back and the floor was filthy.
Actually enjoyed our stay. B4 leaving we were sceptical about staying at the hotel bc of previous reviews but were plesently surprised. The staff was great. We were in a room they hadnt updated yet but they were updating rooms. The beds were comfortable. The room was good sized.pool was wonderful. Floor needed sweeping better. Tv was pretty outdated so not the best picture quality. Needs better curtains bc the lights from parking lot come pouring in. Could hear eveything going on outside including people going upstairs so i suggest a room not facing parkinglot.
We mentioned when we checked in about our concerns of reviews. They put us in one of the newly renovated rooms. It was very nice, it looked like the pictures. All carpet removed and tile floors throughout with area carpet. They are renovating all ground floor rooms this years to this new standard. Spoke with Mark, the owner and they are committed to raising the standards. Give them a chance, good things are coming. could raise standards for breakfast but it was as advertised.
Nothing Nothing. Very bad place to stay at all
Location can't be beat! Within walking distance of Legoland. Nice pool. I've stayed at nicer hotels and discovered bedbugs which I did not see at this hotel. They did comp our room due to the fire. I didn't like the fact that I had to give up my email address. The pictures look like this is a luxurious hotel but it is really neglected and run down. None of the rooms I was in (3 total) looked remotely like any of those pictures. My reality was a water soaked floor 3 feet inside my room, an unusable shower, uncomfortable beds, and a TV without cable. The game room didn't have much for the kids to do and the machines were not working. Though they comped our room, they charged for breakfast the next morning knowing their customers didn't get to sleep that night due to the electrical fire. The fire alarms never sounded, we only knew people were being evacuated as they were evacuating. The majority of the hotel remained with power out during my stay. And I witnessed abuse of power, management yelling at handicapped staff while abandoning ship when the hotel caught fire. Only 1 staff member was left to deal with the confusion in the lobby where an alarm finally did go off but could still not be heard outside of the lobby.
Hotel Staff was friendly. Room was in good order. Room was clean. I needed a late check out and was provided that with a smile. Good Hotel. It met all of my expectations for this Hotel.

Best complementary breakfast I have seen. Kids loved it. Free shuttle to lego land was convenient and ran on time. Good pizza delivered from across the street.
Location was great to Legoland. Staff was so nice and accomodating! The room was not cleaned very well. Found old food under beds. Used dried out bath cloths hanging in the shower. No safety tabs were on any of the complimentary toiletries. They were not full, appeared to have been used.
Clean, friendly staff, good breakfast, close parking, close to lego land N/a
Friendly, great staff, snacks & good coffee in Lobby, great breakfast... No
The location was great if you are going to LEGOLAND. Also the restaurants were within walking distance. The breakfast was ok but nothing like other Hampton breakfasts. The yogurt had mold in it and when I notified the attendant she thanked me and continued to clean. Also the shower curtain needed to be replaced as well as the ironing board and iron.
The staff was friendly and accommodating and the rooms were very clean. The entrance lobby was small and busy, and the room phone was not working so we could not call the front desk.
Staff Boxed in all around
great location, good breakfast, clean property, spacious/nicely decorated rooms, fitness room and pool, priced just right!
In an area with very little good options, this hotel stands above the rest.
First of all, when we got there we were told that the credit card used was declined. After checking our account, we saw that we had indeed been charged on our card. Then we came back about 9pm from visiting my Aunt and were accosted in the parking lot by some guy wanting money. Gave him $20. to get rid of him and quickly entered the hotel. Needless to say it was less than an enjoyable weekend for us in Winter Haven.
table lamps were not working.
Location near all downtown restaurants. Restaurant in hotel good. Free valet parking. Room good size. Carpet was worn and rippling, room had prime view of parking structure. Freight trains operate all night and pretty loud on north side of building, staff at desk a bit rude. Hotel hardly full and room no great shakes so either they have no better or they aren't smart enough to figure out using best rooms gets repeat business. Had mini frig, safe and coffee maker which was good. Water pressure not great.
Location, Staff, History, Bar & Restraunt Older hotel and does need some updating.
Historic setting, general lay-out. Room needed updated.
Location, food, staff Shower pressure is horrible. I understand that everyone needs to power save but is better to look into the water leak in room when water is off and give more when on.
Great Locations Right downtown - near a great park and farmer's market on Saturday mornings. Also next to a lake you can walk around. Staff is very nice and friendly and helpful great parking the bathroom is outdated a bit and the carpet needed some work.
Character and history of the hotel. Continental breakfast was pastries, apples and coffee only. Rooms were so-so but need renovations. Bathroom fixtures were semi-functional and cheap. Food was overpriced at the hotel's in-house restaurant.
Downtown location, Walking distance to almost everything. This is a classic hotel, but built for traveler's from 1915 not 2015. Rooms and elevators are smaller, but still comfortable; think studio apts. Marble and carpet floors, complementary valet parking (please tip!) and a great restaurant (though expensive, dinner for 2 will be $100+). Everything is clean and well kept, staff is friendly and helpful. We loved our stay!! Just know what you are getting. We are typically B&B folks and not partial to the chain named hotels/motels. This has become one of our 'return to' destinations and hotel. Thank you for a great vacation.
Nothing. Facilities were subpar. It is a very old hotel and it shows. The staff while outwardly friendly did not seem to very well trained. The bar staff was friendly but the selection made it seem more like a cash bar at a cheap wedding than a quality full service bar. The breakfast is not a breakfast. It is coffee and a snack as you decide where you are actually going to go to eat breakfast.
The room was clean, the staff was friendly and helpful, and the continental breakfast was good (although a bit limited). I would definitely stay here again.
I have to say that we were really tired when arriving at the motel. We had taken our three special needs children to Lego Land. The motel was very close to Lego Land so we didn't have far to go and it was very close to a Startbucks which we loved! Our room was for 2 double beds but when the lady at the front desk saw that we needed a little more room, she ch he'd us to a room with a little more floor space and two queen sized beds with no extra charge. The rooms were very clean and the bathroom was really nice. We would stay again. :) We loved everything!
The room was clean and painted a lovely shade of blue. The bed was comfortable. The front desk staff was friendly and helpful. We loved the free shuttle service to Legoland. Although kids eat free, the food is not worth eating. It should be a crime to serve orange juice from concentrate in a central FL hotel. The restaurant is an extension of the lobby and suffered from the room deodorizer used in that area. It made the food even more unappetizing. The AC in the room was so loud that we chose to sleep with it off. Lighting throughout the hotel was too dark.
The bed and pillows were very comfortable. The lady at the front desk I think her name was Jennifer was very nice. And the room was very clean too. Didn't like that we couldn't check in before 3.. We were going to legoland and the park doesn't close until 7pm so couldn't check in until after 7:30 when we were done at the park.. Paid over 160 for the room to stay in it from 8pm and check out was by 11am the next morning.
The staff were all exceptionally friendly and helpful. The room and common areas were newer and clean. Good central location and convenient access to Legoland. Only thing I didn't like were the pillows. I sleep at home with a memory foam pillow and I regret not taking it with me. Their pillows were puffy but no support.
Great to relax! Pool at our building was not open at night and the pool sinage informed us that it was this way all year.
lots of room and comfort for everyone.I also liked the fact that there was a little store from which you could purchase necessary supplies. In terms of the website, I found it did not clearly define and talk about the extra charges for cleaning etc/ This could be more clear.
the ambience. the master bedroom bed made a lot of noise ,they took two days to fix a leaking kitchen sink and the the living room wall had a hole in it.
I loved Bahama Bay. Everything was perfect, the pools, the food, the room , etc.
Clean & tidy resort with good local amenaties, easy access to Disney. Hidden charges shown on the hotel web site that were not on bookings.com site.
It was a spacious living space for all 6 of us and the Kitchen was well equipped and functional. Lots of towels provided and extra sheet sets. Also loved having laundry in the room! Lots of stains on the carpeting made it look dirty.
The location, amenities and resources of hotel and surrounding area. Housekeeping does not do a thorough job of cleaning suites. Maintenance was not on task of maintaining the facility because too many things (dead elements on cook stove, broked racks in dishwashers, broken farcet hardware in baths, scratches on furniture and dead grass on ground) were breaking down and not in good repair. I have stayed here since the grand opening and this year was the worst I've seen in regard to housekeeping and maintenance.
Of the 4 pools, only one was open late. The one nearest to our villa closed at 7pm. That is too early for vacationers who tour all day.
Relaxed atmosphere with friendly staff. Plenty of pools close to all condos. Nice restaurant on the property. Ten minutes to Disney and twenty minutes to SeaWorld. Once you leave the resort, the traffic is heavy. You learn to pick the times when the traffic is lower.
Beautiful spacious rooms in quiet area convenient to everything! Lovely pools and hot tubs and amenities we didn't have time to use. Needs to be more clear about how to get more towels, cleaning supplies etc.
very pleasant stay and great value for money
+Great value. +I felt safe there. +Nice staff The only minor issue was that the breakfast room was too small.
Ecco was a very modern updated hotel that was very clean. Looks very nice. The staff were all very nice and helpful. They have a great breakfast in the mornings. The rates were great as well. There are restaurants close by. Apple-bee's right across the street. Nothing
I had a good time in Lakeland during my vacation. I stayed for a week and felt right at home in my room. Did not understand why the light switch at the front door controled the lights at the bedside??
Good price. They did not have enough cribs as advertised in the listing. I had to check out and find another hotel. The room smelled like smoke.
Bed was hard as a rock
the breakfast set up was pretty good. The pool area was nicely kept. the room smelled like Italian food had bee cooked there the night before we came.
cleanliness, great facilities great breakfast and a very friendly staff the heat in are room didn't work
I have food sensitivities and often bring my own food. So I was very pleasantly surprised to see that I had a refrigerator to keep my food (I was not aware of this), but I knew there was a microwave. The room was cozy, comfortable, and private.
Handy location with a Cracker Barrell across the street. Very clean rooms and facilities. They have a lot of non-english speaking, extended stay guests. They were loud and started a fire in one room cooking dinner. The Fire Dept put it out and after an hour we were all back to normal. The extended stay guests were loud but not too bad after 8pm.
Cleaner than most. Excellent hot breakfast. Nice kitchenette. Free wifi. Restaurants within a short walking distance. I found the bed to be too firm and uncomfortable. Mobile phone service was impossible in the room and generally spotty in the building.
Was visiting student at Florida Southern College which is only a few miles from the hotel. Very spacious and comfortable room. Loved being able to get a glass of wine there at the bar area. Sat by the pool in the morning as I was up early, and it was lovely. All around, probably the best place to stay in Lakeland. Coffee dispenser was empty Sunday morning. Seemed to take a long time to have it refilled, but maybe I was just super impatient.
Staff was nice !! The room was musky smell and the rugs had nasty stains all over. its located in a really dark and Not to Safe feeling at Night to walk !
Great room, great bed, very good breakfast A "little" pricey" for the location but I'd still stay there next trip.
Rooms were comfortable and clean. Staff is super friendly and accommodating. On top of that the breakfast spread is delicious!
The staff and facilities were great . Room was clean and comfortable. Breakfast was very good . Only down fall was during the time I was there , there was also a girl softball tournaments. A girls ballet , and a young girl dance performance. Children roaming the hallways playing on luggage carts hitting things and running up and down hallway.
Great customer service & treatment at the front counter.
We usually look for A Hyatt Place when we travel because of the large rooms with a separation. We have 2 small children and the room was plenty big enough for a pack n play and the sofa bed out. Staff were extremely helpful with recommendations on local places to go and assistance during breakfast (clearing plates, getting hair chairs) Can't say enough good things about our visit.
Nothing!! First of all its attached to a strip club which would be nice to know....also shady people in parking lot while going into room. Then sheets and pillowcase had stains on them AND 3 cockroaches belly up still alive in the bathroom... It was HORRIBLE was there 10 minutes and could not stay!
We liked that the location was close to the wedding venue. We were grateful for the recliner in our room... The nighttime crying was soothed much easier with it! The surrounding area is not the safest. But for the money they did a swell job. It was difficult staying with an 8mo old the light shined through the curtains so it wasn't "night time" for him.
We had been driving all day to reach Winter Haven and booked a hotel on the road and arrived to find the main lobby doors locked. We were unable to go in to check in. Then while trying to check in to the hotel the lady at the front desk was arguing with a customer and ignoring me. While arguing with this customer about the customer using the hotels phone she then began to threaten to call the police.. Once that happened I wasn't going to allow my family to stay at this hotel. I would say stay any where else. Never waste your time, I've never seen such a bad hotel. And to top it all off I booked ahead to make sure I could just get a room and sleep to continue driving the next morning, and when I tried called to cancel my booking they would not allow me to cancel.... Worst. Hotel. Ever.
Pool 3pm check in
Hotel was very quiet. Besides one bad night, guests all kept to themselves. Housekeeping abided privacy sign but offered new amenities when needed. Wasn't informed of the $100 deposit required at check in. Hotel has been crediting and depositing out of my account all week.
Size of room was good. By stairwell was really noisy. Thought they had free breakfast, but they didn't. Went down to grab at least a muffin at 9:23am and the doors were already locked.
For the price, I was very - and pleasantly - surprised how nice the room was. It was clean, and attractively furnished.
Clean room, clean bathroom, no moldy smell, excelent service, pool party. Dated Barhroom and Fee for breakfast.
The location near the interstate was good for quick access to I-4, since I was traveling to Tampa mornings. It seems everything in the room squeaked: the bed crunched/groaned/squeaked every time I turned over, and the chair squeaked and groaned when i sat in it.
Great location if you are going to see the Tigers at Joker Stadium and is only a few minute drive away. The facility is quite dated but has a nice sports bar that is convenient. Breakfast was weak with cereal and one waffle maker to use. Think it is over priced but is expected in Florida during this time period.
My fiancée and I were relocating to Lakeland and needed a place to stay while awaiting the completion of our new place. We found ourselves at the Ramada for a little over a week. Aside from the great rates, the room, staff, and management were beyond exceptional. Great location as we both still work in the neighboring metro Orlando and Tampa areas. We would recommend this facility and will guarantee our business in the future. No complimentary breakfast, not a big deal as we wouldn't utilize anyway
Proximity of the entrance from the parking lot to the elevator to my room. It was not easy to enter or exit the highway in both directions
Doors in most rooms don't auto close. Faucet leaking, faceplates broken, no sink stoppers, no bed duvet/comforter covers, mattresses ancient, paint over sprayed mold issues in bathroom. Obvious owners couldn't give a toss about investing in product. Staff embarrassed but doing a great job. Room was clean but dear heavens you can tell - as night auditor stated owners "are letting the hotel run dry and take the money". The auditor was quitting as he couldn't bear the complaints on maintenance. Ramada needs to disown franchisee and keep staff who deserve a product to match their service.
That we couldn't change the date or get a refund. It was our first time using kayak and my husband booked for the wrong day! Didnt get to stay what a waste of money. We won't use it again!
I ordered a king bed room which wasn't showing up on their system so we had to settle for a 2 dbl bed. After waiting half hour to get it.
Clean and reasonably comfortable. Older building, noisy location, limited parking. Quite busy for a Saturday night, perhaps a bit of a party location. Not quite up to par for a business/family travel motel.
Location was close to Lego land and staff was nice. Price was decent for the location near the park and food. It was kind of what I expected for the price. The very thin windows asked the traffic to keep me awake as it sits of the main road. The room was infested with sugar ants. I didn't notice them when I first checked in, but within a minute of me setting a snack on the nightstand, hundreds of sugar ants attacked from behind the bed. I then found them in the bathroom as well. There was a roach trap in the bathroom area, but they didn't seem to be stopping the ants.
Friendly and helpful staff. Good value for the $ Would stay again!
Reminded us of hotels from years ago. Nothing fancy, but comfortable and a picturesque setting. Good breakfast topped off the stay.
The location The place was filthy & I found a bed bug under my 4 year old daughter! There were ants everywhere, including in the beds & the floor looked to be under construction in the bathroom. Not a bang for your buck, spend the extra $30 a night & go somewhere decent!!!
There for business. We had two rooms and left after the first night leaving two rooms paid for the next two nights.
We believe the sheets were clean Tile floor dirty. Knobs on shower would come off. No ventilation in shower area. Tiles cracking and bulging. Rust everywhere. Bugs at sink area. Breakfast horrible. Cold microwave egg circles. No salt pepper. Only whole milk. Only white bread. Lots of road noise due to location.
Nothing Everything if you o rating I would give all zeros, the worst hotel I have ever stayed in. Will never use a Howard johnsons again.
I couldn't find anything to like because this place isn't worth a plug nickel!!!! The fact that they took a $50 deposit for incidentals, and I did not get it back! The filthy room that hadn't been cleaned, The shots fired down in the parking lot, The stale continental breakfast, the ants and spiders all over the room, or do you want to know about the prostitutes doing business in the parking lot and in their rooms.......The list goes on.. Do NOT bring children here!!!!!
Good for the price that couple days Old but nice inside
The Staff: The first room given had NO electrical power on one side of the room. The staff/front desk handled this without hesitation. New room given immediately however, new room did not have same size TV (much smaller). Good night sleep...... To be honest - The price was very good, thought I was getting a bargain--but I got what I paid for. So beware.
The rooms were renovated and definitely clean. No smell, no bugs. The breakfast was good. Waffle machine, decent coffee, cereal, breads, etc. They say it ends at 9 but they always had it out longer. Our first rooms bathtub leaked but they immediately let us move. no big deal. They had a lot of signs up about theft and keeping your doors locked. The area was a little sketchy but we didn't have a problem with wanderers.
The location is ideal because you are next to the highways and a ton of restaurants. The mall is also close by. The side of the Travelodge I was on was near the highway so you hear everything going by. But, other than that it was okay.
Tile floors in room that were dirty. Second nite we came back to the room and the maid did not close the door all the way. Thank God nothing was stolen. Older hotel, hard to get to because of road expansion has isolated it from the highway.
Staff was friendly. Check I was fast and easy. The bathroom door wouldn't shut. Overlapped the door jam by a full inch.No fan in the bathroom. Bathroom sink barely drained. Tile floors were greasy. Bedding had holes.
Very nice staff. Manager was friendly and helpful in getting me acclimated to the Winter Haven, Florida area. Hotel is situated very near many different restaurants. No, everything was adequate.
It was clean. The lake near the motel was beautiful. A McDonalds is next door so that you can get coffee and breakfast. This motel is very old and antiquated. The pool is filled with dirt and grass. The towels are thread bare. There are no amenities like a hair dryer, a coffee maker, or ice. Low cost equals low level motel.

It was clean and close to where I would be spending a good deal of time during my visit. Also the price was right. Very old and rooms are in desparate need of updating.
It was neat and clean. The location was convenient. There is a McDonalds and CVS close by. It was dark, old and outdated.
rooms were clean, although there were no amenities (shampoo, conditioner) microwave and fridge were new and clean. Grounds were clean and pleasant. Very well located to stores and restaurants. It was well worth the price.
Management was accessible although the room did not meet expections. Location, price considering said location. No pool.Lock issues. Outdated.
Very basic but clean room Lack of basic amenities in bathroom...no shampoo??
the maid service was very good. The rooms were nice. The owners need to practice their 'people skills'. Also the parking is very tight.
price and location could have been cleaner
Friendly! Also kept forgotten phone and credit card safe until we returned for them.
We have stayed here for the last 2 weekends. That should say it all! Our room has always been well kept and clean. No
do not like the situation of the room is pretty bad, dirty. You can see the dust on the carpet clearly, no quilt for one of our beds, it radiculas. The breakfast is a joke.
nice location, good price, with simple breakfast. Cleaness of mattress can be done better. The prpperty can provide more choice of breakfast.
The rooms are very clean and beds are comfortable. Newly renovated rooms. Staff would not get us towels. Had to find the laundry room and get them myself. They couldn't get the door to our room to unlock at first.

Budget hotel for a budget trip. Staff was friendly, everything was as expected
Very clean and good service
The rooms had refrigerators and microwaves which were very convienant. The room was clean and the continental breakfast was served until ten! Kim at the front desk was very friendly and helpful. There was an additional three dollar per night fee that showed up on my credit card that must have been in the fine print. The lobby was very busy as they hold some sort of church service on premisis but i couldnt hear them from my room and there was a long line at the waffle iron during breakfast. More than two waffle irons would be one of my recommendations. The air conditioner in my room was very loud and would wake me up when it kicked. Overall nice stay just had to share the pros and cons.
This hotel was a wonderful deal great price and the rooms and staff great!
Hotel was clean, rooms were spacious, easy access to the highways and plenty of places to eat nearby as well but the turn offs were the weak wifi service and the breakfast selection due to the fact that the waffles burned every time for the 7 days I stayed and the pool is under construction with no workers showing up for not a single day for the week I was there. And the breakfast room worker had quite an attitude daily. But kudos to the front desk staff for their excellent service at all hours.. So I give this place a 7 outta 10!
The room was clean, the design however was dated. The room included a large old tv, scratchy ugly bedding, etc. The free cont. breakfast included what seemed to be frozen biscuits, and a crock pot of gravy, eww!
jperfect hotel for no more of one night to stay. Just 30 min. to legoland Florida
Stayed for 6 days in mid-January. Only 1 sheet on the bed (no blanket, no comforter). Front desk said this was normal. It was a cold spell in Florida at the time. Also, charged $6 per day for 'resort fee', when Travelocity posted on their website $3 per day would be charged. They obviously charged per person AND added tax. My charge was $40.32 (which I thought would be $18). The hotel had gaps near the air conditioning unit - like they forgot to fill in the holes. I could see outside. This hotel is NOT a resort by any means. Will not go back to this one!
Rooms were clean and the bed comfortable. Staff was extremely nice. Tv was outdated and did not show clearly, but everything else was excellent.
Great stay, excellent staff. Very friendly and made me feel welcome. Will stay there again
The staff seemed unattentive at check-in...almost like we were bothering her. A member of our group discovered bedbugs in her bed the next morning and had been bitten during the night. We all promptly checked out!!! Be sure to look closely at your accommodations before staying here!
The last time our family 'attempted' staying at a Days Inn was over 15 years ago and it was such a roach infested nightmare, I never even considered a Days Inn since. However, due to the great reviews and price I decided to give it another shot and it was awesome! We were checked in by Kim (I think)...she was super nice, the rooms were very clean and breakfast was good :)
This hotel was very reasonable and I love the fact that they cleaned our room everyday.
The rooms were a bit small and the bed a little too firm but we would stay there again.
I liked that they let us into breakfast early The girl who checked us in wAsnt friendly
Ran towards this hotel after a disastrous experience with a "local" hotel closer to the Legoland site. This hotel in contrast was clean, with good accommodations, and great staff.
good overnight stay en route; facility was clean with a helpful staff. the only problem encountered was my GPS could not find the facility.
