i stayed in room 147 that whole wing ac was done. They did not even bring us a fan for the room. This was are first time there and this place was very under comfortable with no ac in the room. they did not even tell us this when we checked in. We had to ear about it from other quest and they told us the office said they could do nothing about it. they did not even offer us to stay in there other hotel that was down the street.
The locatiom The room smelled moldy. Lacking counter space in the bathroom. Sink and tub looked dirty...seems permanently worn and stained. Horrible. They even painted the chrome tub drain with white paint rather than replacing it. Really bad. Will not return unless they remodel. For the price we paid, it was a complete joke. The staff was great but cannot make up for the bad rooms. Note that this was the second room they put us in. The first had a leak and the floors were wet!
Location was great, staff was great across the board. My room was 50 steps from the included beach chairs and umbrella set up by a attentive staff every morning. If your looking for a relaxing low stress beach vacation with the emphasis on your feet in the sand this is the place. I don't think the price can be beat. Ohh and the complimentary bikes that will get you to st Armand's in min was a huge bonus when it came to shopping and dinning! I don't think you can beat the value in this resort at a low price point! Wish there was a high top table on the lani to open up the beautiful ocean view for morning coffee!
The location! Right on the beach with 2 nice pools and a tiki bar. Nice staff. 10-15 min walk to St. Armand's circle. You can rent bikes or take the shuttle as well. The rooms need updating. But they were clean.
Clean and quite place, organized with positive attitude caring stuff. Close to everything, beachfront Delicious food in restaurant Beach with white sand and warm, clean water Two clean nice size pool I was looking for place like this I liked everything
Very friendly staff. Outside area is great. Great for families and access to beach. 2 big pools. Rooms are very small
Liked it all Breakfast was a bit expensive for buffet style.
Great Staff/ Customer Service. Location was perfect! HUGE BEACH! Great value for the money. Will be back soon! Victoria at the Front Desk was very helpful in giving us advice on things to do/places to visit, she made our trip!
Location was awesome, the staff was great, the pools, shuffleboard, chess, free bikes, beach toys and towels, umbrellas and beach chairs were great. The staff handled a situation with our neighbors smoking and being loud at 1am very well. Any sound travels directly through the walls as if they were cardboard, or you were camping in a tent outside.... be prepared for this is if you need to get sleep on your vacation!
The location and the staff were great. You pay for being right on the beach but the rooms and resort are very run down. I would not stay there again for the money I paid but if they updated I would come back.
Cheaper than some other locations On the beach Staff was friendly and kind The property is getting older. Needs updating
The staff was very accomadating. Could not have asked for a more friendly, pleasant stay. The ocean view was great, parking was easy, proximity to St Armands Circle was convienent. Would definately stay again. The building on the outside was a little run down, but as we were visiting there, repairs were being done.
Room comfortable and clean. Short walk to private beach. Stayed 3 nights room not cleaned one night. Short walk to some restaurants. Pools convenient to room and heated. Wish they had room with a view of the water.
It was beautiful and the staff was great It's far from the main business district and was a bit expensive for a place with no view or restataurant bar of its own the check out is very early
On beach side of street, so very short walk to beach.
Hated the 10am check out!!
Wonderful. Will return.
Location was convenient to local restaurants and sports rentals Our first room had a very pungent odor. The were very accommodating and gave us a better room. However the bed in that room was old and not very comfortable.
This resort has a small family resort feel about it. The grounds are beautiful. The rooms are clean and comfortable. The private beach is nice too. The walk to the beach was a little long.
Really enjoyed our stay. Very clean and nice. Grounds are beautiful, pool was heated, beach is beautiful. Room was fully equiped, really nice linens, well stocked kitchen, nice size refrigerator. Cleaning staff cleaned room promptly and completely. Check in staff very friendly. Walking distance to grocery, drug store, and resturants. Booking through Kayak was a breeze and price was resonable. Would definatly stay there again.
The facilities were immaculate, very nice beach area and pool...We loved the quieter location south of the village, very intimate with plenty of nearby convenience. We would absolutely stay there again... Turns out our room was the smallest, it had all we needed but not a sitting area...
Small motel like resort. Beautiful siesta beach steps from your room. Very clean, updated and accommodating place. No negative comments at all
Location can not be beat: proximity to food & drink, and the gorgeous beach is just a walk across the compound. Nice decorations for Christmas, too. Liked the kitchen. Desk staff was helpful. Bed was UNCOMFORTABLE. Too much furniture for the room size. Check-in clerk had dirty fingernails. Although the room looked recently updated, it's with the cheapest finishes. Broken tile in the bathroom.
Great staff; comfortable and attractive rooms; good bar. The only aspect of the Hyatt that I didn't like is that it is a little attenuated from downtown Sarasota, requiring us to use a car to go downtown.
The staff was very cordial and helpful. The room was quiet and very clean. Lots of activities. Hard to differentiate between those "free" amenities and those for which you are charged. Also not enough complimentary newspapers in the early morning.
Rooms were functional. Staff was well trained. An additional Resort FEE when checking in. It's NOT really a resort. And if it was , I would like to know about additional fee's in advance.
Great location for anything you wanted to do. Relax, Swim, Kaysk, paddle board, fish, go to the beach. All inclusive to do the above activities. Great pool bar. Friendly and helpful staff starting from your arrival at the front door until you leave. Close proximity to great restraunts, night life and cultural events. I liked everything. Nothing negative about this Hotel
Clean, comfortable rooms, pool area nice I think Breakfast should be included for the price. Music at the bar area would be nice...
Water backed up in the sink in our room. They were quick to repair but the smell remained in the room and was awful.
I liked the amenities and the location of the Resort. The beds sucked.. I stay in 4 and 5 star hotels only and for a Ritz the beds sucked, the sheets were not soft... and I always forget that the rate is inexpensive because they charge you mandatory resort fees per night at check out. Needless to say valet is $24 per day. I feel like I am flying on commercial airlines with the nickel and dimming. Just increase the price and make it all inclusive.
The service and the amenities were great.
The pool and beach facility at Lido is perfect
Staff is excellent. Very nice hotel.
Great location, that's about all they have though Paid rate of nearly $350 for a Friday night, tried to check in at 6 room wasn't ready, had to go back and check in again at 7:30. Horrible room next to parking lot and noisy early morning housekeeping carts. Next morning housekeeping was knocking at 10 a.m. to vacate and clean the room. Buyer beware as they say. Won't be back.
The location: right at the beach, and closeby to the St Armands Circle shopping and dining area. The willingness and friendlyness of the staff to help out, offer additional services.
really great place a little to expensive
The location and beach are great. The poolside tiki hut is a place I could stay all day, and the pina coladas were great. The rooms are old. Mold in the shower and baseboards are falling apart. Our group had 4 rooms at the resort and all of them were the same (and yes, all had mold on the shower curtain). When paying $200+ per night, you should get a lot more.
I liked the proximity to the beach . Our room was filthy. It looked like the only thing that was changed between guests was the bedding... And I'm not even sure about that .
To my surprise we were upgraded to the newly renovated rooms in the south tower. We were given a two bedroom suite with kitchenet and double balcony with amazing views. Even though it rained and was overcasted most of the time we still had a fantastic stay, for the simple reason that the accommodations were so great.
the beach and the shoppes room was old and out dated tiles broken carpet ripped room was just run down.
Very large room with kitchenette was perfect beach holiday set up. Had breakfast in my room each day helped to save on costs and made sure I was on the beach by 9am each day enjoying the sunshine and the sounds of the crashing waves. Beautiful walks along the beach lead to a nature reserve area and bird life was terrific. Also a fabulous shopping and restaurant area is a short walk away making sure you can enjoy a drink or two without having to worry about driving.
The hotel being on the beach, cleanliness, nice atmosphere, pleasant personel.
Convenient location. Great view. They have one of the most friendly, outgoing, accommodating and polite staff I have ever come across. Very nice pool & hot tub facilities - separate areas for family and adults - a nice feature. Quality lounge chairs & towels at both the beach and pool. Only ate one breakfast at the resort but the food and service were both excellent. I would certainly return. Set your GPS the first time coming here - when approaching from the north there is a palm tree partially blocking their sign so you could easily drive past the entrance before you realize where you are. After that, it's no problem. Also, use Washington St, etc. to bypass St. Armands Circle as you will avoid slow traffic around the circle. This will bring you right to their entrance.
Hotel seems very popular for weddings and ceremonies on the fantastic beach fronting the hotel. On checking in we were fortunate they had an option available to upgrade to an ocean view room with balcony and kitchen and this room was well worth the reasonable cost of upgrade and made the stay more memorable. The pool bar is great but just wish ot could stay open later than 8pm. The pool bar is great but just wish ot could stay open later than 8pm. Not sure if this closing time is all year round but believe it is a Sarasota State requirement?
The room was old but clean, the bed was very comfortable, The fan in are bathroom did not work, and i thought the chair in the room was very used and not clean.
The hotel appeared to be new, very clean and had great amenities. Restaurant on site. Reasonably priced Lobby was understaffed. I incurred long waits for service. Restaurant was understaffed and service was fair.
I landed at the Holiday Inn because of a flight cancellation at SRQ. I booked from the airport, and ended up staying there for 20 hours. The front desk and restaurant staff were very friendly and accommodating. I also loved the bright design of the hotel. I found a wet used facecloth upon checking in and garbage on the floor, but was too tired to complain. The gym facilities are small and not well maintained. There is no expresso coffee. Location not ideal unless you are going to the airport.
Our room was exactly what we expected. The food was amazing and well priced. Staff was very nice. Did not understand why a handicapped room would be on the 6th floor. And the elevator actually was broke for a time one night. But there was no sign posted to indicate we had to take the stairs. What if we would have needed to get our handicapped aunt down from the 6th floor?
Staff attentive courteous food in restaurant good large portions. Room clean and comfortable. Photos made it look bigger and newer than it is but it was still a good experience
The check-inn staff were friendly and professional. The king suite was big and luxurious. Great stay
Location, cleanliness Breakfast
The pool area was really nice. Didn't like that after the first night the room wasn't cleaned.
Breakfast is great Staffs are really good for this kind of small hotel Bathroom is nasty and tiny. Bathtub curtains are really dirty. Very bad crowd. Half of the crowd looks like they are on drugs or something. It's a bad decision that I booked this hotel based on reviews. It's located near a busy road so you might hear road noise as well. Luckily, they gave me room far from road (again friendly staff)
Clean rooms, friendly staff, POOL HAPPY HOUR, breakfast super yummy, no noise. Excellent!!! They gave us a room that wasn't ready but the staff made the changes in less than two minutes. So it's not really a complain.
It was nice and quiet...a. Fun. Tiki bar. And a great pool...the desk should remind people of both....the bartender needs more business. Great breakfast. !!
Although housekeeping entered our room every day but one day during our stay, our room was not vacuumed each time. We had spilled a couple of popcorn kernels and they were left on the floor for a couple of days. Kind of disappointed with that.
We enjoyed the clean rooms along with the pool and pool bar. The rates were excellent and the location was decent. I would stay here again in a heartbeat. The breakfast was actually pretty good for a hotel.
I loved the location, cleanliness, friendliness, and breakfast. Liked everything.
The front desk staff were personable and friendly Hard to tell if the room was clean or not, due to all the stains and worn areas throughout. Parts of the popcorn ceiling in the bathroom were falling off. The bathroom door kept getting stuck & the doorknob seemed about to come off. The room door had an almost 1/4 in gap at the bottom, which let in outside air and noise, and could easily let in insects.
Inexpensive, satisfactory accommodations.
I had to call the front desk when I wanted the room cleaned.
nice breakfast desk lamp broken, light switch over sink did not work; mold in the bathroom, noisy a/c; lots of highway noise and the facility is under the final approach path for planes landing at the airport.
Quiet, pretty view of Marina. Big bed. Well, for starters, the ambiance of the bathroom gave off a very Saw like/murder vibe with the flickering light bulb. decently clean, didn't wake up with bed bug bites. Although the curtains had a pretty narly blood like splatter pattern. Cable only worked on occasion. The wifi might as well be advertised as Dial-up. Old guy at the front desk refused to help us when we showed him our Kayak voucher. Too much for him to handle. But the other guy was awesome and got us in fast. Went to check out and immediately became subject to typical Florida trailer garbage trying to intimidate the front desk woman after she evicted him. Threats to call the police were made. The photos online are misleading. So were the three stars on Kayak.
The shower heads and water pressure were great. The pillows and bedding were clean. The manager appeared concerned regarding our complaints to the tune of a 50% rebate. He apologized and immediately picked up the phone and addressed our concerns with his staff. This hotel had a 3 star rating on Kayak and was affiliated with Ramada. There were roaches in our room, used soap in the shower, old food in the fridge, we declined to eat any food from their kitchen based upon our room condition, phone line from room to front desk was constantly busy making it impossible to complain without walking across the dark parking lot in an unknown area to the front desk. Area was noisy with people going up and down the stair well next to our room
Clean and nice view. Toilets are very low. Has only steps to get to second floor. Sliding door hard to move.
This place is horrible u pay 200 for a short motel room. Then tiki bar wow service is a nightmare. Alcohol drinks sweet. Fish they claim is fresh stinked, fries burned. Server thought cause she wore right shorts a titta out that's all customer service they need not asking can I get u anything. How is ur food, nothing she ignored us. Never again I wouldn't advice anyone to stay at this hotel.
leaving, the full refund. everything. They didnt do what I asked and there were bugs! totally disguising!
Location The rooms are not properly maintained. The first room that we got has soaked up carpet around the AC unit and the remote dies not work on the tv. The 2nd room that we moved to, the AC unit is loud when used in high. Other settings l(ow med and auto) is not enough to cool the room. The shower lever is hard to use unless you have a pair of pliers.
The staff is top notch. They clearly care, and are doing the best they can with an aging facility. Security stopped me to let me know I had left my lights on. He saved the next day! And the front desk made me feel important and not like a paycheck. The room smelled of mildew from the air conditioner. And the bathroom is very dated. But otherwise ok.
The front desk staff was very friendly The carpet in my room was filthy. The entire room was very, very tired. The mattress and quality of the linen was very good however. I paid $75 per night. I should have spent more. There is a Best Western not far away that was new and nicer for $90
Nice Rooms. Free Breakfast. Fire Alarm went off twice at very inconvenient times.
My wife and I came for a one night stay and visited local breweries. Everything about the Hampton Inn was extra nice from the warm welcome, to the fine interior conditions, to the excellent full, hot breakfast. This is a nice place to stay.
Comfortable rooms for our two boys and us. Clean and a wonderful staff. Noise from the traffic.
We were impressed with this place from beginning to end. Nice location. Easy to find and park. Friendly staff. Beautiful, well-appointed rooms with high ceilings and extremely comfortable beds. Surprisingly bountiful complimentary breakfast (eggs, hash browns, waffles, fresh fruit and much more), served in spacious and comfortable dining area. That our time here was too short.
The Hampton hotel was the best hotel we have stayed in yet. Very clean, large rooms.

Pleasant stay near bay front. Valet parking was only parking choice.
Love the roof top pool and hot tub. Very clean. Loved the modern style. Walking distance to delicious restaurants.
The best part of the hotel was the location, everything else was average to sub par There was constant construction, people looking in our room window, the pool bar was always closed and no where to get hot food. Also half the hotel is one Palm apartments and there is only valet parking. It looked more concerned to be a club/lounge.
Everything. Needs microwave in rooms.

A very secure and modern hotel in the middle of downtown Sarasota. All kinds of restaurants and nightlife nearby. Valet parking only....$15 per night.
We had a really great experience. Loved the hotel and location!
Everything about the hotel was fresh and trendy. The rooftop pool and bar were great, the room was clean and tidy, great location in town. I really enjoyed my stay.
The price was great for us . The %60 savings is gteat No

Stayed 4 nights. Two guests needed one chair each and one luggage rack each...not available. Much wear visible throughout. Would stay there again only if primary purpose of trip was visiting Ringling Museums.
My room was clean & comfortable. Great to have ironing board & iron, refrigerator & microwave and pets welcome!!
The room was dirty, tired, walls were thin. You didn't have password protected Wi-Fi. Really, in this day and age??
Front desk staff was very helpful. The lobby area is nice. Parking was easy. Rooms were nice and pretty quiet. First room smelled like a cigar bar so the front desk gave us a different room. The second room smelled much bettter, but there was someone's leftover dinner in the mini fridge.
Hotel was clean, staff was friendly. Breakfast needs cooked food like eggs.
This was our first trip together and it was awesome. Sarasota is an amazing place. The hotel was very close to everything. The staff was very helpful! Anytime we go back, I'll be staying there
I loved the cleanliness and friendly staff. The breakfast was really good! Very close to the beach. I enjoyed it
Beds were comfortable This is a pet friendly hotel yet every time we left and our dog barked we got a phone call to return. They had us in a room right next to the front desk and breakfast area which would cause her to bark. We requested a new room and they said they didn't have any availability. We kept giving her Benedryl, notified the staff we would only be gone 2 hours for a Christmas Eve dinner. They called 20 minutes after we left the hotel. This disrupted and rushed our dinner. We stayed here about 2 months ago with our dog and had no problem. The front desk was extremely rude while dealing with this situation. We will no longer use this hotel and we go to Oklahoma once a month. Shape up your staff and pet policies and we might return.
The location was good. The bed was comfortable. There were hairs all over the shower floor. It was very late at night so we didn't have the energy to change rooms. Also, there were stains on the couch. We took pictures of the hair and stains and showed it to one of the managers the next morning and she gave us a 50% discount. That was very nice but even at half off it was too much to pay for a room that dirty.
Staff was very friendly & helpful. Room was very clean .
I love the room setting, very clean and spacious. The staff was very corteous and helpful ( they gave us very good recommendations on local dinings). The only I did not like was the breakfast setting, it was hard to find clean plates, dirty plates all over the place and a lot of demand and not enough suplly if you know what I mean.
The front desk staff was extremely helpful and courteous. I liked the big screen TV, as well as the fact that it swiveled so I could watch either in bed or while on the sofa.
The staff was very friendly and went above and beyond to accomadate us.
Employees friendly at front desk Place looked run down pool had what looked like oily floating slug by the steps walking into the pool. We where able to check in early but the view was horrible. My expectations where high b4 getting there. My room #203,with add one I paid 148ish your brand name is being hurt by this location
I liked that I could open the window/sliding door and step out onto a slim balcony from my room to smoke. Also liked that the control for the A/C was on the wall and easily adjusted and worked well. There were several built in connectors to the desk/ TV stand for various devices to connect to the TV for media or business use. Room was listed and shown as a suite with a sitting room and was ABSOLUTELY NOT that! there was no free anything inside the building, such as contintental breakfast or coffee even, EVERYTHING cost , even drinking water, beds were super hard and uncomfortable, small fridge in room, but no microwave, no ice for in room even tho a bucket was there, cheap and low quality room amenities, (single serving only), hotel required a cc at check in for incidentals, held $40 for this!. and then did not release it for 7 days after checkout
My family had the most pleasant Stay! The reception staff was phenomenal. I had made a few errors when booking and Chris was happy to accommodate what i actually needed for my family. We love coming to this hotel. Whenever visiting sarasota, this is the hotel we choose for the comfortable and clean rooms, great location and excellent service. Very family friendly. We will be back! Loved everything. No complaints.
Great proximity to downtown dining, shops and galleries. Over firm chair in room.
Staff was amazing and very accommodating to me and my pet. The food was delicious. The pillows are too soft and mattress was a bit uncomfortable. After a long weekend, I left with a bit of a sore neck and back.
Breakfast buffet. Room service. Gym. No swimming pool.
Very modern. Very clean. Nice staff No mixed drinks. Only beer and wine
location, clean comfortable room breakfast offering needs a bit of work
I especially liked that it was close to shopping outlet! For us it was ideal because we had a rain week & were able to at least able to shop......It was also quiet as hotels go so I was able to sleep well. Coffee being available 24 hrs. was also a bonus. It was booked full the week we were there & as a result the breakfasts were limited & not replaced well. That aspect was not as good as the previous ones! that aside, all else was good. I plan to continue my stays at the Hampton Inns. Breakfast not being replenished when depleted by full house. this was pretty much anticipated.More food should have been ordered since this is an advertised perk.
Its a solid, comfortable hotel with good services. Its location right on the interstate exit is convenient to the Ellenton outlet mall but is less convenient for other attractions like the beaches or downtown.
Rooms were very clean, the staff was extremely helpful and the breakfast was a delicious hot meal. will definitely stay here again nothing negative
