Pros: It was a peaceful getaway for me and my wife. Very enjoyable and relaxing.
Cons: Room service was magnificent.
Pros: The room was really nice
Cons: Well satisfied
Pros: The look of the hotel is very cool. The rooms were spacious and clean with a nice bathroom area.
Pros: The hotel is right off the freeway, and the location is amazing. There is a gas station adjacent to the hotel, which was great because we just walked right over to buy some waters.
Cons: Pay for parking my car
Pros: Nice decor and great location
Cons: Charge for parking which is ridiculous. Girl who checked me in was a bit rude
Pros: The room was ready and clean! The staff were friendly and attentive. We were only there overnight but it was very nice, quiet enough and clean (which to me is the most important feature)!
Cons: Nothing, it was all good
Pros: Clean, spacious, nice amenities. Close to freeway and airport.
Cons: Lack of nearby attractions. Far from downtown and other tourist areas/attractions.
Pros: Clean, and luxurious feel. Easy access, and only minutes from Manhattan Beach.
Cons: Restaurant was mediocre.
Pros: Huge rooms deigned and furnished lavishly.
Cons: A bit too far from any touristy attractions. Not a walking hotel b
Cons: Parking charge.
Pros: Location and good price
Cons: Front desk staff / accounting staff are incompetent
They double charged for the room and then didn't seem to think it was a big deal. I'm sure it will get refunded sooner or later but just a hassle. First and last Ayres hotel stay

Pros: My husband and I had a fabulous stay at the Marina del Rey Hotel.
Our room had a amazing view of the marina, was very well appointed and the staff couldn't have been more helpful.
I would recommend this hotel to anyone traveling to that part of LA.
Pros: Vibrant lounge with a nice view of the marina.
Cons: $30 valet only parking option!! Weird odor in the room
Pros: Ambiance was great from the beachy/sea vibe in the lobby with the "flying" seagull sculptures hanging from the ceiling a wonderful scent machine in the lobby that makes you feel like you are at the beach.
Very romantic setting at the outside bar complete with couches and fire pits.
Beds were super comfortable.
Cons: $30/day for valet parking is a bit steep when there is plenty of parking around the hotel. Give an option for people to park their own cars, even if you have to charge a fee.
Pros: The remodel is first class.
Cons: The front desk service was fine. The dining was terrible. Slow inattentive service, overdone steak, raw salmon, overpriced.
Pros: We loved the view, facilities, great beds and location of the hotel.
Cons: No complaints.
5 miles from the Los Angeles International Airport, this hotel is 4 blocks from the shops and restaurants of Fisherman's Village and a mile from a public beach.
Pros: I liked that the hotel was near the water, close to a concert I was attending.
Cons: I booked this hotel because they had balconies and it was near the water. The balcony was closed due to renovations. The bath tub was small , hotel was a little outdated. Not as special as a experience as I was hoping for
Pros: Nice place, but not worth the Ritz premium. I would stay at the JW Marriott in Santa Monica next time I'm in the area.
Pros: Hotel staff was outstanding; from valet, front desk & concierge all the way through to pool attendants, room service and bell desk.
Cons: Totality , needs upgraded , bathrooms , amenities , need more restaurants .
Pros: Staff is great, and generally a very nice hotel.
Cons: Doesn't live up to our expectations based on previous experiences at other Ritz hotels. It feels tired, not as luxurious as others, and is starting to show some age without upkeep. A simple example would be the pool has cracked tiles and feels rundown.
Pros: I like the avalibiliy of the staff
Cons: For a younger crowd in there 25-30 age it's not an appeasing hotel it's more for older crowd like 50-60 so for me being a pro Olympic athlete and being 23 yrs old I didn't enjoy it that much
Pros: the location
Cons: room service food. the french soup was disgusting. There was also no glasses in the room.
time it took to get the food
valet parking took 15 mins to get our car
Pros: I can't begin to find words to express how much we enjoyed our stay at the Marina del Rey Ritz Carlton! We arrived on a Wednesday morning with a sick child. The staff immediately took charge helping to get us situated with a room and going so far above and beyond ensuring that our stay was enjoyable. From the person who greeted us to take our luggage, to the valet, to the front desk staff to the wait staff in the restaurant and the gift shop (which opened up for us to get us meds in the middle of the night) to the manager who followed up even after we had left their hotel, every layer was kind, attentive and fantastic! They honestly made us feel like we were at home with family who was concerned about us. What a fantastic experience! T

Pros: Large space in the rooms for a family. Great breakfast and very clean and new hotel. Short drive to everything and free parking
Cons: Perfect for the money

Cons: I didnt check in until after 1:00am, I flew in from Miami. Requested a late check out, the front desk clerk told me 1pm. I was woken up by knocking at the door at 11:30 then again at 12:30. Not sure why that happened, wasn't cool.

Pros: It was right across from the marina. A beautiful setting. Convenient to restaurants and nightlife. The staff was very friendly. The room was immaculate and clean. I enjoyed my stay. I would highly recommend it.
Pros: The lobby, close location to Venice beach and the bar were quite nice. Staff is accommodating and nice.
Cons: Rooms and interiors of the halls were old, carpet is definitely old, and the lounge for elite members is tiny (cramped seating). Really small outdoor pool.
Pros: The service and staff were great - hotel is very nice!
Pros: Room was nice and clean
Cons: Parking for $37, valet only was a rip-off!
Cons: Parking fee not included in stay
Cons: Rooms not ready for check in

Cons: Construction ongoing, room smelled like cigarettes, the layout of the room was bad.. there was a sliding door with a couch in front of it
Pros: They have a great buffet breakfast and good location
Cons: Small bathroom, had construction going
Pros: Breakfast, main guest house
Cons: Older than photos show, Room furniture is old and worn, AC didn't work in the first room we were put in, it sounded like the persons above us were going to fall thru the roof because of a weak floor
Good clean facility.
Pros: Good breakfast! Quiet location.
Cons: Laundry not available. The clubhouse was being remodeled. Should be done mid-February.
Pros: We have stayed there many times before.
Cons: It was being totally being rentravated. Noise all the time. Not at all like ad presented it.
Cons: They bought an old garden apt complex and opened it as Marriott too soon. This is not yet Marriot. Not even close.
Overall good experience.
Pros: The room was new and up to date.
Cons: There was one trash can in the room and it took me a while to find it. Their were no cups in the bathroom.
Even though there was construction going on and there were temporary buildings including the registration office there wasn't any excessive noise or inconvenience at all.
Pros: Best staff. Very courteous, accommodating and attentive.
Cons: Did not get housekeeping everyday but that seems to be the new norm with hotels.
Pros: Residence Inn is really good place for family, especiall with children. Well equipped kitchen and large size Refridge, microwave will be very helpful to cook for your family.
Cons: Currently hotel is renovating. So fitness center, place for breakfast is very small, and guest laundry can't be offered. Also, parking lot was not enough because of construction.
Pros: Breakfast and quick service on requests (ie: extra towels, crib, etc)
Cons: Tiny bathroom Not a private bedroom area from loving room even though pictures illustrated a door separating the bed from living room
Excellent location close to shopping and food. Very comfortable rooms. Nice and quiet.
Pros: Roomy, shower had great water pressure, love the kitchenette.
Cons: The WIFI was pretty poor in the room. Since I typically work while I travel, that's a pretty big drawback for me

Pros: I though the hotel's location was cool, off the main road but still tucked away and private.
And the rooms were comfortable and newly renovated.
Cons: I didn't like the rooms lay out. (No foyer or hallway to separate the room door from the sleeping area) You see the light leek in from under the door and the foot traffic in the hall feels very close as you lay in bed. Also the robes were only a large and fit me more like a child's robe than one for an adult.
Pros: Friendly and helpful staff
Included wired and wireless Internet access (~8 Mbs up & down)
Cons: Valet parking only ($15/day)
Floors are creaky, can easily hear the guests walking around in room above
Pros: Very comfortable beds. Love the hip decor. Would come back again. Really Nice people. In general we really enjoyed Manhattan Beach more than other coastal cities. It's less cramped feeling and has a wonderful Beach.
Cons: Valet parking. I'm guessing you could park in neighboring streets if you wanted. It's on a busy street but it's nestled back a bit so you don't feel it.
Pros: The staff couldn't have been nicer and it made the stay that much more enjoyable! Highly recommended and will stay here again!
Pros: I arrived late because my flight from Miami was delayed a few hours. As I walked in around midnight, the staff helped me load up my suitcases into a trolley and directed me to where I could take my dog out for a walk. I ordered a breakfast that night for sometime between 9:00am and 9:30am the following morning, and it arrived promptly by 9:05am. The staff also allowed for a later check-out at 12:30pm to give me time to maneuver my belonging and dog. Overall, it was a pleasant experience. I would recommend.
Cons: They stopped serving food for room service pretty early.
Pros: Love the idea if complementary cookies. I didn't eat any but the idea is great. Thanks.
Cons: They nickle and dime you on the breakfast. $9.99 for a bowl of oatmeal. Nooooo! So sad. $30.00 for the two of us to have eggs, sausage and potatoes. Really. And the OJ was a separate charge, ouch.
Pros: The hotel has many positives such as: clean surroundings, friendly staff, great food, free wifi, & an inexpensive valet.
Pros: I really thought the room was lovely--large. Things seemed updated and clean. Bed was fairly comfortable--everything worked well. Staff was warm and friendly. Cookies in the afternoon provided at front desk.
Cons: First bellman didn't tell us that we could stay parked in the Handicapped Parking spot in front. Second bellman did, but a $10.00 charge appeared on the final bill. Staff took it off when I explained. Requested 4 pillows and a view as our most important request. No view and only 2 pillows on bed when we arrived. Bellman brought two more pillows after a phone call. Artwork in hallway is a series of gigantic pictures of 1950 ish dolls---creepy. Including a 5X7 framed photo of one of the doll pictures on the desk in the room. i could see one, but entire hall lined with them.
Pros: We loved the location, cleanliness, size of the room and price.
Cons: Room service- the breakfast was awful! We didn't eat all of it because it was a soggy wet fried egg sandwich with rolls of lunch meat and wet uncooked spinach. Honestly don't get breakfast there. Also the front desk girl didn't make eye contact or smile once- not sure why but that got to me.
Pros: The room decor and space were both excellent. The bed felt firm in an inexpensive fashion, but was still reasonable in comfort. The real reason for the low rating in an otherwise four star establishment was the complete lack of hot water pressure at 1030 am on a weekday.
Pros: Overall we loved the hotel and will go back. Very clean, comfortable, quiet. Nice restaurant/bar upstairs. Courtyard peaceful. Staff very friendly.
Cons: The paintings of the "Barbie"-like girls in the hallway were odd.
The Belamar is located 1.5 mi from downtown Manhattan Beach, and numerous restaurants and shops. The hotel lies 4 mi from Los Angeles International Airport (LAX).
Pros: The closeness to the beach and water and how close we were to Venice beach all the interesting people and places we saw was just amazing can't wait to come again
Cons: The only thing I didn't really like was the view from our room
Pros: We were planning to have our short, informal ceremony on the beach and then enjoy the rooftop; but, our view was so amazing, we had our ceremony right on our patio deck! Also, when I mentioned to Billy that we were getting married that day, he sent a bottle of champagne to our room! Unbelievable guest service! We will recommend the Erwin to friends & family.
Pros: We stayed here with a couple friends for a birthday weekend celebration. Jesenia was really nice and calles us when we were able to check in early. The rooms were great. My cousin checked in early but didn't get the king bed she booked. So later she called Jeff and was able to get a better room. A suite!
Cons: The rooftop lounge during the day was great. The bartenders was nice. At nighttime, the waitress we had was btichy. The lounge areas were nice but even for hotel fuests we had to reserve on opentable.com. the problem was we had a big group. They provide blankets so thats a plus but we didn't stay up there long. Lastly, Valet/parking was $32!
Pros: the suite was awesome! The rooftop bar was great. Blankets were clutch. Friendly staff!
Cons: The tiny sign on the door entrance in the corner.. Stating that there were chemicals in the building from which you could get cancer from.. Was not clear when I book the hotel that the building is a health risk.
A mere 200 ft to the sand and surf, Hotel Erwin is like Venice Beachs underground album thats been discovered to critical acclaim. In its fun and festive splendor overlooking the famous boardwalk, Hotel Erwin offers the ultimate Venice Beach experience where guests can eat, drink, swim, shop, gallery-hop and relax. The hotels modern interior reflects the vibe of the city, and strongly displays an eclectic energy. Additionally, the hotels rooftop hangout, High Lounge, is the premier Venice Beach open-air lounge, where cocktails and the nightly sunset are the main event.
Pros: Venice is what it is too many bums but venice breeze suites are very clean and nice and rooftop is great
Cons: If you're looking for Venice Beach, the location is perfect. Unfortunately, the place as a whole is a little worse for wear, especially at $220/night. Reception feels more like a $40/night hostel than a hotel, bedding and couch both looked not entirely clean and there was mold and mildew all over the bathroom floor and walls.
Pros: Beautiful room, great location, friendly staff. Would definitely recommend.
Cons: Parking was inconvenient.
Cons: Too loud. Young people manage the place and don't care. Elevators broken!!! Can't go outside the hotel, too many homeless people around the outside of hotel.Never again!
Venice Breeze Suites features a rooftop terrace and puts you within a 5-minute walk of Venice Beach. Free WiFi is an added perk, and guests can keep active with onsite surfing/boogie boarding. Conveniences like kitchenettes are in all rooms, along with flat-screen TVs and DVD players.
Pros: Location was interesting; good restaurants nearby; kinda edgy.
Weirdly, my hair loved whatever shampoo & conditioner they used (could also be the quality of the water itself?). I never had such silky smooth hair!
Cons: The facilities reminded me of a motel in the 70's. They tried to be trendy and hip, but it just didn't cut it. The room didn't feel private. The balcony overlooked the courtyard one floor below and there was a really bright light at night, so I didn't feel comfortable opening the curtains to let any light in. The bathtub had a no-slip matt inside, so it felt like a retirement home. Although relatively clean, the smell of the cleaning products was really old-school. Only thing missing was the coin-operated vibrating bed. No restaurant or room service, and breakfast in the morning was very basic.
My daughter and l had a wonderful stay at this hotel.
Our room was very clean and beds where comfortable.
The location is a short walk to the beach.
The staff was friendly, professional and attentive!
We were so happy with our accommodations that we extended our stay by two days.
Highly recommend !
Pros: I've stayed here before for a few days - great location and generally a very good place to stay.
However the room was a bit musty when I entered - not enough for me to want a new oom but noticeable.
Facilities are OK - bathroom very cosy though.
Would definetly stay again.
This European-style inn is inspired by the culture and history of nearby Venice Beach, and is located less than two blocks from the Boardwalk. Marina Del Rey is four blocks away.
Pros: The staff was the best, the beds were excellent, the candy at the front counter........will be my choice always in LA......very close convenient to airport.
Pros: Clean, good size room that looked somewhat modern.
Cons: Elevator was really slow but I can wait a bit
Pros: Service, room size, and breakfast.
Cons: Not enough soap for us to shower
Pros: location is a little bit far from down town but it's not big deal to you.
and the price is very reasonable.
I went to there with one girl and two guys.
The hotel was very comfortable and even staff is very helpful and kindness.
so if i have a chance go to the LA, i would book there again.

Pros: Good value for the price, Clean, comfortable, nice staff.
Pros: The location was unbeatable and after we found ants everywhere in the first room the staff was super accommodating and upgraded us to a suite right across from our first room so it was not a hassel for us to change rooms. Checked in on us after we moved which I thought was a nice touch. Rooms were spacious and beds were comfortable.
Cons: Ants EVERYWHERE in the first room. The vending machine was sold out of every drink?
Pros: For the cost, the location was good plus free parking really added to the overall value. It was an easy walk to the beach, to Hermosa pier and shopping. Nice neighborhood.
Cons: Noisy AC unit. Frig was turned off and had a puddle of water in it. TV was unplugged. Lighting was dim.
Pros: We were happy with the room its self and the location.
Cons: The staff was not very friendly or helpful and they said they offered a portible crib bit when we asked they said they had them but the janitor/maintence guy had the key so they didn't have access to them?
Pros: Perfect location and great value for the money. Nice staff and great location in hermosa! The rooms are updated and surpass the appearance of the outside. 100% staying here next time I come to hermosa, unless I just go ahead and move :)
Pros: Nice and friendly staff. Room always kept clean. Will come back
Pros: Very clean, very friendy, very comfortable, loved the ocean view, I will return again.

Pros: I liked the whole part of the checkin taking 30 minutes at 2 am because kayak messed it up.
Cons: I didn't like pretty much the whole thing. The checkin took literally forever. Never again
Pros: The convince and distance to the public transportation makes it easy to go to different places. Other businesses close to the hotel is a plus
Cons: Overall I liked everything for the one night I stayed
Pros: It was very clean and comfortable, very nice rooms,I was pleasantly surprised by the full size refrigerator and the stove top, good to know for a longer stay
Pros: Very nice and clean room and good breakfast.
Cons: The only thing I did not like it the parking situation and entry to hotel is weird.
Pros: Airport shuttle, breakfast, comfy beds, and clean/large rooms!
Cons: The TV in the room didn't work. I informed the front desk and was told maintenance would come look at it. Waited 2 hours and no one came so I canceled the maintenance call.
Pros: Shuttle service to and from the airport is very easy and efficient. Size of room is above average.
Cons: Neighborhood. Showerhead was old and clogged.
Pros: This place is really a great value, the building is safe and well maintained. Having a gated parking garage is great for peace of mind. The rooms are very nice for what you pay and overall stay was very comfortable. I've been there twice already and plan on staying again because the experience was so great. Highly recommended!
Pros: Friendly and attentive staff. Clean rooms with large frig and full-size microwave. Good water pressure and lots of hot water. Secure parking. Nice pool area. Minutes from LAX.
Cons: Some of the breakfast selections weren't appealing. TV was too small for the size of the room (hard to see from across the room while sitting on bed).
Cons: Not too great an area for walking to restaurants, etc
Pros: Room was clean and spacious.
Cons: Hotel located in somewhat seedy area. Didn't feel safe to walk anywhere.
Pros: We needed a place to stay near LAX that didn't cost an arm and a leg. This Comfort Inn was just the ticket. Plus secure off-street parking and a full, hot breakfast.
Pros: Ample room soace (double queen). Convenient location, close to LAX, near shopping malls and fast foods, at reasonable distance from Hollywood - one hour drive. Breakfast OK. Parking OK. Near Metro station even though I did not use it. Amenities ok: microwave, refrigerator. Good value for the cost.
Cons: Bumpy elevator.

Pros: Room was clean , bed was comfortable , and staff was kind
Cons: Water pressure was a little weird still got the job done fine
Pros: Very nice room, comfortable beds, lovely and clean hot tub and pool. The cinnamon rolls are always AWESOME!
Pros: My honeymoon flight home was delayed and whenever i realized we wouldn't make it to the hotel that night I called to cancel. Was told that the rate was non-refundable. I am a Gold IHG Rewards Club Member and am pretty unhappy with their indifferent attitude towards their customers. I have NEVER had a problem like this before, hence my continued patronage to their hotel chain... so I'm not sure if this was a site-specific policy or a Holiday Inn hotel chain policy. But it sucks. It is truly bad business. Definitely rethinking my brand loyalty.
Pros: Good price, clean, nice, friendly staff, convenient shuttle, nearby restaurants, very comfortable.
Cons: no complaints
Cons: Same variety of breakfast items everyday
Pros: Location was great
Cons: Very thin walls could hear ppl in next room. Whom was liud
Pros: The room was pleasantly cleaned daily. Adequate workout room. Weekday staff was pleasant and accommodating.
Cons: I PRE-PAID for a week and upon arrival was told there were no more rooms available for that which I PRE-PAID. After much discussion, they found a room. The room key kept deactivating, even though it was no where near our phones. Around July 4th - it is a VERY busy hotel, lots of large families. For us, overall, it was too far out from Santa Monica, however, there is a shortage of mid-range hotels closer to Santa Monica.
Pros: Free parking
Comfortable soft beds
Close to airport
Close to activities
Pros: all inclusive.
Cons: Not a very good area.
Pros: Everything was comfortable, the breakfast was good
Cons: That the pool closed early
Pros: Hotel wass very clean & all the staff was very nice and courteous. Free breakfast was excellent- no waffle maker but there was a wide selection of everything else and a selection of teas which you normally don't see at any other hotels. There is some family friendly fast food locations very close by & parking garage was also very close
Cons: Nothing to complain about except the rug in our room was stained so we wore shoes in the room the entire stay.
Pros: Did not get to experience hotel
Cons: Did not like treatment from staff. There was a misunderstanding due to hotel staff misunderstanding me and using hotel jargon, assuming that I would know what she meant. When my husband and myself got to the hotel at 1am, we did not have a room to sleep in for the night and was forced to pay for another room in another hotel because of the assumption of particular staff member. When problem bought to person that created it, the next day, we were told that there was nothing that could be done about us being wronged and staff showed no sympathy and did not apologize. We then cancelled our reservations and would not again book here, being that we felt customer service was not good and did not like area of hotel either.

Cons: My entire reservation was screwed up. The front desk clerk said that I had a one night reservation eventhough I could show her the itinerary that I booked. I also booked a room with 2 beds and got one with one bed. They also didn't mention parking and internet are not free in the kayak reservation so they tried to charge me more when I checked in. Horrible experience. But the main lobby bar service was excellent.
Pros: staff at the restaurant was extra-attentive and well-trained
Pros: Location for business was excellent. Staff was very nice and accommodating.
Cons: Room had a lingering smell of body odor. They had tried to cover it with lots of fresheners but it was always there. Also room was bit tired looking. Needs some TLC.
Pros: We stayed in this room the Friday after Thanksgiving and got a good deal. When we checked in, the front desk employee informed us we had $50 worth of hotel amenities we could spend on drinks, food, etc. We had room service for breakfast and it was awesome.
Pros: Location, staff was very accommodating , beautiful grounds ....
Cons: Only one bad experience.. but I so enjoyed my stay that I will not mention the big mistake a ( single) staff member made ..

Pros: Staff in all areas was excellent, friendly and helpful.
Cons: The pool and area. Good amount of space but chairs in shade and really to heavy to move hot tub not clean. Was very disappointed in that aspect and would not stay there again if pool situation was same!
Pros: This is a great location. On major road near to LAX, beaches and downtown L.A. I got a good last minute rate on Kayak. There was renovation going on at the time and staff made sure they let me know and picked a room away from construction.
Cons: -I was traveling with children and there were no other families I saw
-many airlines (domestic & international) crews stay here overnight from LAX
-smoking hotel so you can smell the smoke wafting in the lobby and pool area, which was gross for my children to smell
-geared towards international visitors who like to smoke
-pool area on older side; did not make me want to swim in there with my children
-my room was not renovated yet, so it was feeling worn; bed was ok. I've had softer, better beds
-walls were very thin and I could hear everything in the hallway
-my key card into the hotel floor was not working twice, which is so annoying given I had small children and the lobby was a 5-10 minute walk away (with children, slow walkers!)
Pros: Good exercise facility, good location for me (close to the company I visit). Self-parking is nice. Many hotels in this area have the "hidden fee" of parking charges, up to $30 per night.
Cons: Where to begin. First off, the hotel is getting very old. The rooms are fundamentally small compared to more modern hotels. To the point that the bathrooms are very small. The vanity is tiny, and the only place for towel storage is within the shower (at the back). Also, the mirror had some strange black stains on it. Second bad thing was the "view". My room was at room level for another part of the hotel, so when you opened the sliding door, you were actually on the roof. And the view (other than looking at roof) was a wall. Maybe a roof and a wall wouldn't have been too bad, but throw in the 4 or 5 satellite dishes and it was pretty unattractive. OK, so pull the blinds and keep them closed. Except here's the worst part of all... The A/C unit sounded like a small dump truck at idle and hardly cooled at all. So to keep the room tolerable, I had to open the sliding glass door. But because you could walk in right off the roof, I had to close it every time I left the room, and then the room got hot and stuffy.
I'm an HHonors member, and I try to be loyal to Hilton branded hotels, but this one makes it tough.
Pros: The location was good and the facilities were OK. The staff was very good and friendly.
Cons: As a Hilton member I did not expect to put in a room with the smallest bathroom I have ever stayed in at a Hilton Hotel. The bed was way to soft and I woke up with a terrible back pain. The room was number 310 and I would hope that Hilton members would get better treatment than I received.
Cons: We had been assigned a room in the lower tower... Not sure is that my room is booked in a discount rate.
Pros: Excellent service and clean rooms. Also free self parking.
Pros: The staff was friendly, attentive and knowledgeable about the area. Room was very clean. Bedding was very comfortable. Room service was fast and surprisingly affordable. Hotel is next to shopping, dining, movies and short drive to the beach.
