I like the swimming pool, but we're not able to use it because we had not enough time, just only 1 Overnight stay, we chose to take the Island Hopping though.
The menu has not much choice. The room rate is a bit expensive.
We loved the villa with the small private pool. The rooms were spacious, clean and comfortable. The location of the hotel is about 7 km from the Alona beach where all the restaurants and cafes are. There's only 1 other restaurant (an excellent one!) near Bohol Shores - Bohol Bee Farm restaurant. You can take tricycle to Alona (350 pesos if you order it from the reception, 200 pesos if you find it yourself outside the hotel). We couldn't complain about the location because we valued the quietness of the area.
The restaurant needs a total makeover: the staff is incompetent, it probably doesn't have a manager or the manager doesn't know a thing about his/her job. Breakfast: choice is quite limited and if you come late, there won't be much left. Not very tasty for Europeans. Dinner: the first question before ordering anything must be - what's available today? Otherwise you might pick 2-3 things and end up empty-handed. We ordered lasagne and 2 hours (!) later we were told that's it's not available. Neither was squid. Nor shrimps. Nor pizza. etc. But Bohol Bee Farm restaurant is just 15 min walk away with beautiful (literally) breakfast and dinner!
The room is spacious and so is the swimming pool. A private dipping pool is just outside your room. If you are looking for a quiet place to spend your vacation, here is the perfect location for it! The staffs are friendly and helpful. Since we are not able to have breakfast on the check out date, we've got a breakfast box (types of sandwiches to choose from) and bottled water.
1. We had difficulty connecting to the Wi-Fi the entire stay in the resort. 2. The location is really far from Alona Beach. The only way to get there is by a tutu car which will cost approximately 200 peso for one single ride. 3. We were charged 50 peso because one towel cannot be found. There's a directory in the room indicates the price of every single lost item. The fee was collected when we arrived at the seaport and the tutu driver took it back for us. 4. Hotel guests are forbidden to bring in any food or beverages from the outside. Otherwise, a fee has to be paid. I'm pretty shocked for all the reminders which we have been told. I respect that these might be the source of your income but we really wish there were no such restrictions as we are simply here for an enjoyable vacation.
