The 5-star Hyatt Paris Madeleine offers top accommodations in walking distance of many of the city's most iconic sights and best shopping. The staff is beyond gracious, and guests will love the views over the Eiffel Tower and the Arc de Triomphe from a classic Parisian building.
In the Heart of History
The hotel's Haussmann-style building features 86 exquisitely furnished rooms, most facing the typically elegant Boulevard Malesherbes. The decor is luxe yet modern, featuring light wood, plush bedding, and marble bathrooms. WiFi is complimentary. The Hyatt Paris Madeleine offers a fitness center and full spa, the eco-friendly Spa Deep Nature, along with a special "Hyatt for Her" program, tailored to the hotel's female guest business travelers. The in-house Café M is ideal for breakfast and lunch, while La Chinoiserie offers refined cuisine ideal for a date or a business dinner (they also serve terrific afternoon tea). And be sure to have an aperitif at the aptly-named Champagne Bar.
In the Area
This hotel trumps its competition thanks to its plum location near the prestigious Paris Opéra Garnier, Place de la Concorde, the Champs Elysées, and the Musée du Louvre. The city's most fashionable shopping is right around the corner, and Hyatt Paris Madeleine's central location means it's easy to get anywhere in Paris, whether by taxi or metro.
I was there for a business trip, and we rented their 'Manhattan' conference room for a presentation preparation. Very clean hotel and responsive staff. The location is very good. It's walking distance to the place de la concorde, the opera, madeleine, saint augustin, and other landmarks.
The location is fantastic, and the service is 5 stars.
The rooms are too small
- light with sign "don't disturb"; - morning newspapers;
- the bussiness room/Internet is always busy; - the lamp on the bed's table fall down several times per night; - this is no possibility to swith off the night light
It was clean. At least one staff was useful.
The billing system when we booked online did not tell us the exact charges. It should give us the total figure for all the days, and not just the charges for one day/night. We thought the rate was one sum and when we got the bill we paid 4 times more. This was a bit confusing and embarassing. The online billing system misled us
Hotel Position. Friendly staff. Nice breakfast.
In general the rooms are small, and the hotel a bit "tired". Severe remodeling must be done to improve the hotel to deserve its price. 1) the hot water takes ages to come, I.E. no hot water recirculation pumps. 2) the room looks aged, and so did the bathroom. Not classic, but aged and overused, tired. For example "classic" weight scales that do not work. Why bother having them at all? 4) this ridiculous type fridge in the room! Charging as soon as you remove an item. I really dislike them. This is not a service fridge for cliens, it is a sales dispencer! It even has a note for a space 10cm by 10cm by 10cm "area for client". Like it is making a joke... ridiculous!!! 3) This hotel is very expensive for what it offers very bad value for money
