Good location, nice staff! Clean, great location & quiet room. Nice breakfast buffet, friendly staff. Modern room, fine breakfast, friendly staff. New Years Eve - our period of travel. Heated room. Perfect for getting about Paris on the Metro and lots of choice for food and drink very close. Nice and close to Gare de Lyon. Location was great, 100 metres from metro station and has quite a lot of eateries nearby. Staff was polite and amiable. 5 minutes walk from Gare de lyon station. Metro station is also conveniently located just a 1-minute walk away. I could always get a soft drink at the first floor, so there was no need to look for a supermarket when I came back to the hotel in the middle of the night. The rooms seemed a bit larger than other Ibis. Breakfast is stable quality by Ibis. The hotel was absolutely fine. Comfortable, close to the Gare de Lyon. Clean, central and friendly staff. The breakfast was OK and the location was what we wanted/needed - to be close to Gare de Lyon. Other than that, not much to like unfortunately. Staff was kind and efficient. We arrived a few hours before the check-in, but even that the room was ready for us, which was a great surprise after the long journey. The localisation is really good, next to the metro 1 station, with which you can travel till La Defence via places like Luwr, Champes Elyseys and Arc de Triumph. The hotel is near 2 shops and 1 with souvenirs. The staff was nice and polite speaks english. I recommend staying at this hotel. Friendly staff, nice French breakfast, close to nice restaurants and just a few steps away from the metro. They sometimes greet you with a beer or champagne after a long day. Would stay here again. The train strike forced us to stay in Paris for the night. The ibis Diderot is perfectly located for gare de Lyon & gare de Bercy. Great quality and value breakfast on offer. Not enough space for breakfast. Not a massive ibis hotel, only 6 floors. Room was very small. Medium to small sized bathroom. Bed sheet from some kind of polyester which retains heat, therefore I sweated every night. Breakfast until 11 am but after 10:30 they don’t refill. Staff other than the receptionist don’t speak English. Sink water didn’t go thru. Room size is small. No in room dining available. No kettle in room to have hot water, although it's there in rooms. No shower curtain, so the bathroom is flooded. Toilet paper was a little dirty. We had an early bus to catch so staff ordered us a taxi. It was late arriving and basically we were completely ripped off. There was already 18€ on the meter when we got in and the driver said this was because we were being charged from where he’d started his journey and this was the rule with taxis reserved by the hotel. We had a coach to catch and because he was late we had no option to get out and find another taxi or we may have missed our coach to London. We estimate our fare should have been about 10€ (15€ maximum). It was 31.50€ for a short journey to Bercy-Seine bus station, outrageous! If what the taxi driver said was true then the hotel staff should warn customers of this. If it’s not true the hotel needs to have a different taxi reservation system. If we had known we would have left the hotel ten minutes earlier, got a taxi ourselves and saved about 20€. Very bad soundproofing from elevator and small bedroom. Minimum effort put into comfort and design of the very basic rooms - dull in every way, it was like being in a cell. The bathroom was so small every time we went in we knocked the hair dryer off the wall - it was at least clean, as were the towels and bed sheets. The brown carpet was dodgy and I didn't really want to stand on it in bare feet. All in all a depressing, expensive experience and thank goodness we only had to spend 8 hours there. It was the most expensive night of our entire road trip on the way to Italy, and the worst experience by some way. It's all about the location, nothing else. Pillows were very weak. Rooms have no sound proof and there were a lot of regular homeless people around the hotel. Would not recommend if you are traveling alone. Was clean but old had a slight damp smell with I didn’t love. The cleaness. My restrooms was full when i arrived. And the room was too much expensive. I do not advise. No milk for tea with complimentary drinks and no kettle in the room. Rooms looking very tired. No fridge or tea and coffee facilities in room. Having said that cold still and sparkling water was available from a dispenser in the foyer so great for filling water bottles on way out. Also large bottles available to take water back to room. limited selection of soft drinks and beer available to purchase from fridge in foyer and coffee was available to purchase from a machine in the breakfast room. Ibis is always kind of small. Don’t like double beds pushed up against the wall. A cramped room in which one has to edge along the end of the bed to get to the other side, scraping against rough walls. Beds were made up with a protective under sheet and then a “fitted sheet” which didn’t fit so it all untucked in the night. The bathroom fan stayed on all the time with no apparent option to turn it off. We mentioned it but it wasn’t resolved. Could be cleaner, especially the bathroom. it'd great service,place,and great staff will definitely come again,thanks.
