Horribly over priced for what you get. The room was loud as the window would not close and next to the main road.
It was terrible. Rooms poorly set up, dreadful breakfast. Far too expensive, totally took advantage of tourists.
The breakfast was dreadful, wet pita bread, cut up polony. Shower broken.
The booking process was simple and straightforward. The hotel is well located, a short drive to the Petra site and it was clean. The staff were very pleasant and made us feel welcome.
The staff were truly excellent. I've never had such good service
The locks on the doors on floor four didn't work well. ordered a king size room - got a twin for one night then the kingsize for the second night
The staff were courteous.
Infrastructure at the hotel needs to be overhauled. We were 3 families with children staying for 2 nights. Hot water was not available despite repeated requests. The cutlery was not clean at all. The bread toaster was in a very bad shape. Overpriced and quite far from the main city center.
Bed was comfortable
Water arrived at a dribble and no hot water at all. Was promised that it would be corrected and wasn't. Asked for a refund for the next two nights and was not given. A hotel with no water is not one to stay at. Left. Currently contesting with Visa.
We were greeted with an insistance that we transfer to another hotel as Sella was overbooked. When we refused and requested a refund we were denied (although a room was then found for us) The food was unhygienic. The water was usually cold . The manager was rude and indimidating.
Close to the Petra Archeological site
Breakfast very poor, rooms close to the main road, nosy
We stayed only one night as we were driving from Amman to Petra to visit Petra the next day. We arrived quite late, and we were offered some Tang or Cool-Aid type of juice, which is typical of most hotels of the region, including 5 stars hotels, so we were not surprised. The hotel has some outdated decorations and would benefit from some refreshing, but considering the other hotels we stayed at in Jordan, Syria, and Lebanon, the hotel was very comfortable and clean. We had a breakfast the next day that was basic and I think some of the plates were there the night before when we arrived. I only ate labneh not to get sick and had no problems, but again this is usual of hotels of the region.
The fact that we asked for a king size bed and were offered a triple room instead (we were a couple) because of "tecnical problems" with the AC. We had these types of problems in all hotels we stayed at, and somehow I wonder if it is due to the fact that we are an unmarried and young couple. In the middle east, for arab nationals, it is forbidden for a couple to stay in the same hotel bedroom if you do not provide proof that you are married. This restriction does not apply to foreigners. But since problems with king size bedrooms were repetitive at all hotels we stayed at, I started to wonder if we were put in seperate beds for a similar reason. It might however also have to do with the fact that we arrived often late for check-in.
