All I have to say is I spent 5 days in Florida and most of the people I dealt with were rude or distant. Felt like I was bothering people or they were just tired of tourists. At this hotel I met Lilithia and she was awesome. The most friendly person I met the entire time I was there. I checked in at 1am and had some issues and she was patient with me. I stayed for 2 days then left. When I came back she remembered me by name.
The room was beautiful and very clean. I have traveled a good deal and usually only take pictures to show when something is wrong, but I took pictures this time to show how nice my room was! I loved the towel animal that was on the bed. I just found my new preferred Hotel Chain! Thank you! I am a vertically challenged person, and the vanity in the bathroom was so tall that the counter top was even with by upper chest. Very hard to brush your teeth when you can barely manage to reach the sink.
The rooms were very nice and large. The breakfast had a good selection. The staff was very courteous and professional. The stay was a good value for the money. N/A
Staff was friendly and accommodating to our request, the breakfast bar was fine There is a little bit of road noise, an access road to the interstate is close by and more noisy vehicles did make it to the room at times

I just recently traveled to Plant City for a business meeting. What a great hotel. Based upon prior reviews about staff I was kinda nervous however let me tell you. There must be all new staff members at this location, I was always spoken to and greeted as well as always being asked if they could do anything to make my stay more enjoyable. From the Otis Spunkmeyer cookies at check in to the Hot Breakfast Bar items it was fantastic! Even the rooms were amazing, I was told they just had 1/2 million dollars in renovations. I BELIEVE IT!!!! \n\nI RECOMMEND THIS HOTEL TO EVERYONE DO NOT BELIEVE THE NEGATIVE REVIEWS THEY ARE NOT AT ALL TRUE!!!
THE BREAKFAST IS VERY GOOD. OVERALL PRICING OF THE HOTEL IS HIGH BUT I AM SURE PART OF IT IS DUE TO THE STRAWBERRY FESTIVAL THIS WEEKEND.
Friendly welcoming staff, clean neat facility & breakfast
Newly remodel Great Breakfast Easy on and off I-4 no
Asked the front desk for directions to a nearby business, (I had the street address!), was given an attitude (she was on the phone all the time). Asked her if I could send a fax out, she said that the fax machine was out of order. Lying!
staff very welcoming checking in and out. It was very close to where I needed to be and was very close to I-4 which I needed on Sunday to get to St.Petersburg to visit church our former pastor now is Senior Pastor - ST Pete First Baptist Church I will gladly stay here again and look for other Holiday Inn Express Hotels to stay in again when I travel
No problems whatsoever. Hotel was close to family, clean, quiet. My husband liked the breakfast. No

Everything was very clean. This hotel looked like a new one. The only thing that I didn't like is the distance from Orlando, FL. Otherwise, it was one of the best hotels I've ever stayed in.
Newly renovated rooms. Great service with 'Can do' attitude.
Great value: Free Parking, Free Internet, Free Breakfast. ? no cocktail lounge ? ...Why would I care ? Simply, there was nothing to NOT like.
Location near all downtown restaurants. Restaurant in hotel good. Free valet parking. Room good size. Carpet was worn and rippling, room had prime view of parking structure. Freight trains operate all night and pretty loud on north side of building, staff at desk a bit rude. Hotel hardly full and room no great shakes so either they have no better or they aren't smart enough to figure out using best rooms gets repeat business. Had mini frig, safe and coffee maker which was good. Water pressure not great.
Downtown location, Walking distance to almost everything. This is a classic hotel, but built for traveler's from 1915 not 2015. Rooms and elevators are smaller, but still comfortable; think studio apts. Marble and carpet floors, complementary valet parking (please tip!) and a great restaurant (though expensive, dinner for 2 will be $100+). Everything is clean and well kept, staff is friendly and helpful. We loved our stay!! Just know what you are getting. We are typically B&B folks and not partial to the chain named hotels/motels. This has become one of our 'return to' destinations and hotel. Thank you for a great vacation.
Nothing. Facilities were subpar. It is a very old hotel and it shows. The staff while outwardly friendly did not seem to very well trained. The bar staff was friendly but the selection made it seem more like a cash bar at a cheap wedding than a quality full service bar. The breakfast is not a breakfast. It is coffee and a snack as you decide where you are actually going to go to eat breakfast.
Location, Staff, History, Bar & Restraunt Older hotel and does need some updating.
Location, food, staff Shower pressure is horrible. I understand that everyone needs to power save but is better to look into the water leak in room when water is off and give more when on.
Historic setting, general lay-out. Room needed updated.
table lamps were not working.
Great Locations Right downtown - near a great park and farmer's market on Saturday mornings. Also next to a lake you can walk around. Staff is very nice and friendly and helpful great parking the bathroom is outdated a bit and the carpet needed some work.
Character and history of the hotel. Continental breakfast was pastries, apples and coffee only. Rooms were so-so but need renovations. Bathroom fixtures were semi-functional and cheap. Food was overpriced at the hotel's in-house restaurant.
The room was clean, the staff was friendly and helpful, and the continental breakfast was good (although a bit limited). I would definitely stay here again.
The staff and facilities were great . Room was clean and comfortable. Breakfast was very good . Only down fall was during the time I was there , there was also a girl softball tournaments. A girls ballet , and a young girl dance performance. Children roaming the hallways playing on luggage carts hitting things and running up and down hallway.
We usually look for A Hyatt Place when we travel because of the large rooms with a separation. We have 2 small children and the room was plenty big enough for a pack n play and the sofa bed out. Staff were extremely helpful with recommendations on local places to go and assistance during breakfast (clearing plates, getting hair chairs) Can't say enough good things about our visit.
Was visiting student at Florida Southern College which is only a few miles from the hotel. Very spacious and comfortable room. Loved being able to get a glass of wine there at the bar area. Sat by the pool in the morning as I was up early, and it was lovely. All around, probably the best place to stay in Lakeland. Coffee dispenser was empty Sunday morning. Seemed to take a long time to have it refilled, but maybe I was just super impatient.
Rooms were comfortable and clean. Staff is super friendly and accommodating. On top of that the breakfast spread is delicious!
Staff was nice !! The room was musky smell and the rugs had nasty stains all over. its located in a really dark and Not to Safe feeling at Night to walk !
Great customer service & treatment at the front counter.
I had a good time in Lakeland during my vacation. I stayed for a week and felt right at home in my room. Did not understand why the light switch at the front door controled the lights at the bedside??
I have food sensitivities and often bring my own food. So I was very pleasantly surprised to see that I had a refrigerator to keep my food (I was not aware of this), but I knew there was a microwave. The room was cozy, comfortable, and private.
the breakfast set up was pretty good. The pool area was nicely kept. the room smelled like Italian food had bee cooked there the night before we came.
Good price. They did not have enough cribs as advertised in the listing. I had to check out and find another hotel. The room smelled like smoke.
Handy location with a Cracker Barrell across the street. Very clean rooms and facilities. They have a lot of non-english speaking, extended stay guests. They were loud and started a fire in one room cooking dinner. The Fire Dept put it out and after an hour we were all back to normal. The extended stay guests were loud but not too bad after 8pm.
+Great value. +I felt safe there. +Nice staff The only minor issue was that the breakfast room was too small.
Bed was hard as a rock
Cleaner than most. Excellent hot breakfast. Nice kitchenette. Free wifi. Restaurants within a short walking distance. I found the bed to be too firm and uncomfortable. Mobile phone service was impossible in the room and generally spotty in the building.
cleanliness, great facilities great breakfast and a very friendly staff the heat in are room didn't work
The Staff: The first room given had NO electrical power on one side of the room. The staff/front desk handled this without hesitation. New room given immediately however, new room did not have same size TV (much smaller). Good night sleep...... To be honest - The price was very good, thought I was getting a bargain--but I got what I paid for. So beware.
The location is ideal because you are next to the highways and a ton of restaurants. The mall is also close by. The side of the Travelodge I was on was near the highway so you hear everything going by. But, other than that it was okay.
The rooms were renovated and definitely clean. No smell, no bugs. The breakfast was good. Waffle machine, decent coffee, cereal, breads, etc. They say it ends at 9 but they always had it out longer. Our first rooms bathtub leaked but they immediately let us move. no big deal. They had a lot of signs up about theft and keeping your doors locked. The area was a little sketchy but we didn't have a problem with wanderers.
Tile floors in room that were dirty. Second nite we came back to the room and the maid did not close the door all the way. Thank God nothing was stolen. Older hotel, hard to get to because of road expansion has isolated it from the highway.
Good for the price that couple days Old but nice inside
Nothing Everything if you o rating I would give all zeros, the worst hotel I have ever stayed in. Will never use a Howard johnsons again.
I couldn't find anything to like because this place isn't worth a plug nickel!!!! The fact that they took a $50 deposit for incidentals, and I did not get it back! The filthy room that hadn't been cleaned, The shots fired down in the parking lot, The stale continental breakfast, the ants and spiders all over the room, or do you want to know about the prostitutes doing business in the parking lot and in their rooms.......The list goes on.. Do NOT bring children here!!!!!
There for business. We had two rooms and left after the first night leaving two rooms paid for the next two nights.
The location The place was filthy & I found a bed bug under my 4 year old daughter! There were ants everywhere, including in the beds & the floor looked to be under construction in the bathroom. Not a bang for your buck, spend the extra $30 a night & go somewhere decent!!!
We believe the sheets were clean Tile floor dirty. Knobs on shower would come off. No ventilation in shower area. Tiles cracking and bulging. Rust everywhere. Bugs at sink area. Breakfast horrible. Cold microwave egg circles. No salt pepper. Only whole milk. Only white bread. Lots of road noise due to location.
Other than the barking dogs, it was a nice stay. That it is dog friendly
Hotel was very good but Kayak switched the names of my guest and me therefore the room was regestured to my friend, Denis Tarpey and the guest was Jim Hettenbach, me. , causing a huge problem at registration. Jim Hettenbach is the Kayak panticipated and Denis Tarpey the guest.
LOCATION The hotel was under renovation construction. The hotel staff did not clean the construction debris out of the floor hall way i was staying on. This stay was Nothing to write home about in a Good Way. If it was not for the location I would have stayed at another hotel.
Came to Lakeland for Miss Florida Pageant. Hotel is about 10 minutes away from Lakeland Center but is adjacent to a great shopping area complete with IMAX (which my daughter and I took full advantage off)! In addition, the staff was AWESOME.
there was a hurricane warning in effect and rooms were at a premium, almost impossible to find. the rate for this room was --- + tax which we felt was high for a two and one half star hotel not conveniently located on an inter state highway. Du
Very friendly and helpful staff. Loved every aspect of this hotel. Continental breakfast excellant. Would definitely stay here again. Loud music from local bar on Friday a little annoying. Exhaust fan in bathroom broken. Very slow elevators. All things that were manageable.
Good place for meeting family.
Close to shopping, restaurants and the Lakeland Center. I have no complaints.
Everything was great. I kept looking for a little refrigerator to keep things cold. Need to add refrigerators to rooms.

very clean ,quiet and very friendly staff. loved our stay and will return no
Staff was very friendly, rooms were clean. The breakfast was poor, powder eggs n there were some softball tournaments and it seemed that they packed many people per room n they were all just hanging around the breakfast area in dirty ball uniforms. No seating for guest. No control of people.
The room was nice and the location was near new shopping and restaurants. Our room was right next to a bar that played loud music and had loud people that kept us awake until 2:00am. Then someone with a loud blower was outside at 4:00am. We spent over $---- for 1 night in this room and it was the worst night of sleep you cou
Nothing really, breakfast was ok and only thing liked during our visit. The room was filthy. The bathroom sink did not drain and backed up when used. The floor was filthy and turned our feet black. Asked for a quiet room but it was noisy and had a hard time sleeping. The bed pillows were the worst.
The hotel is nea conveniently located near the expressway and a ten minute drive to downtown Lakeland. The staff was friendly, the facility clean. A very good value for the money.
Very good professional front desk staff. Excellent price/value ratio Leaky toilet tank
The receptionist was friendly and knowledgeable. The rooms were pretty modern and up to date. I liked that the double beds were queen sized. The linens were fresh and crisp. The breakfast was pretty good! The room smelled like smoke so I had to immediately call the front desk to let them know so they wouldn't think it was me when it was time to check out. I didn't want to jeopardize my $100 deposit. The parking in the back is kind of scary at night, but it is well lit.
Good location to restaurants and shopping. Nothing
Location and friendly staff. Price. Room not cleaned daily. Had to go to front desk for toilet paper and clean towels.
Clean and reasonably comfortable. Older building, noisy location, limited parking. Quite busy for a Saturday night, perhaps a bit of a party location. Not quite up to par for a business/family travel motel.
The location near the interstate was good for quick access to I-4, since I was traveling to Tampa mornings. It seems everything in the room squeaked: the bed crunched/groaned/squeaked every time I turned over, and the chair squeaked and groaned when i sat in it.
I ordered a king bed room which wasn't showing up on their system so we had to settle for a 2 dbl bed. After waiting half hour to get it.
Size of room was good. By stairwell was really noisy. Thought they had free breakfast, but they didn't. Went down to grab at least a muffin at 9:23am and the doors were already locked.
My fiancée and I were relocating to Lakeland and needed a place to stay while awaiting the completion of our new place. We found ourselves at the Ramada for a little over a week. Aside from the great rates, the room, staff, and management were beyond exceptional. Great location as we both still work in the neighboring metro Orlando and Tampa areas. We would recommend this facility and will guarantee our business in the future. No complimentary breakfast, not a big deal as we wouldn't utilize anyway
Great location if you are going to see the Tigers at Joker Stadium and is only a few minute drive away. The facility is quite dated but has a nice sports bar that is convenient. Breakfast was weak with cereal and one waffle maker to use. Think it is over priced but is expected in Florida during this time period.
For the price, I was very - and pleasantly - surprised how nice the room was. It was clean, and attractively furnished.
Hotel was very quiet. Besides one bad night, guests all kept to themselves. Housekeeping abided privacy sign but offered new amenities when needed. Wasn't informed of the $100 deposit required at check in. Hotel has been crediting and depositing out of my account all week.
That we couldn't change the date or get a refund. It was our first time using kayak and my husband booked for the wrong day! Didnt get to stay what a waste of money. We won't use it again!
Doors in most rooms don't auto close. Faucet leaking, faceplates broken, no sink stoppers, no bed duvet/comforter covers, mattresses ancient, paint over sprayed mold issues in bathroom. Obvious owners couldn't give a toss about investing in product. Staff embarrassed but doing a great job. Room was clean but dear heavens you can tell - as night auditor stated owners "are letting the hotel run dry and take the money". The auditor was quitting as he couldn't bear the complaints on maintenance. Ramada needs to disown franchisee and keep staff who deserve a product to match their service.
Proximity of the entrance from the parking lot to the elevator to my room. It was not easy to enter or exit the highway in both directions
Clean room, clean bathroom, no moldy smell, excelent service, pool party. Dated Barhroom and Fee for breakfast.
Great stay, excellent staff. Very friendly and made me feel welcome. Will stay there again
The staff seemed unattentive at check-in...almost like we were bothering her. A member of our group discovered bedbugs in her bed the next morning and had been bitten during the night. We all promptly checked out!!! Be sure to look closely at your accommodations before staying here!
The room was clean, the design however was dated. The room included a large old tv, scratchy ugly bedding, etc. The free cont. breakfast included what seemed to be frozen biscuits, and a crock pot of gravy, eww!
Rooms were clean and the bed comfortable. Staff was extremely nice. Tv was outdated and did not show clearly, but everything else was excellent.
The last time our family 'attempted' staying at a Days Inn was over 15 years ago and it was such a roach infested nightmare, I never even considered a Days Inn since. However, due to the great reviews and price I decided to give it another shot and it was awesome! We were checked in by Kim (I think)...she was super nice, the rooms were very clean and breakfast was good :)
Hotel was clean, rooms were spacious, easy access to the highways and plenty of places to eat nearby as well but the turn offs were the weak wifi service and the breakfast selection due to the fact that the waffles burned every time for the 7 days I stayed and the pool is under construction with no workers showing up for not a single day for the week I was there. And the breakfast room worker had quite an attitude daily. But kudos to the front desk staff for their excellent service at all hours.. So I give this place a 7 outta 10!
The rooms had refrigerators and microwaves which were very convienant. The room was clean and the continental breakfast was served until ten! Kim at the front desk was very friendly and helpful. There was an additional three dollar per night fee that showed up on my credit card that must have been in the fine print. The lobby was very busy as they hold some sort of church service on premisis but i couldnt hear them from my room and there was a long line at the waffle iron during breakfast. More than two waffle irons would be one of my recommendations. The air conditioner in my room was very loud and would wake me up when it kicked. Overall nice stay just had to share the pros and cons.
Stayed for 6 days in mid-January. Only 1 sheet on the bed (no blanket, no comforter). Front desk said this was normal. It was a cold spell in Florida at the time. Also, charged $6 per day for 'resort fee', when Travelocity posted on their website $3 per day would be charged. They obviously charged per person AND added tax. My charge was $40.32 (which I thought would be $18). The hotel had gaps near the air conditioning unit - like they forgot to fill in the holes. I could see outside. This hotel is NOT a resort by any means. Will not go back to this one!
This hotel was a wonderful deal great price and the rooms and staff great!
This hotel was very reasonable and I love the fact that they cleaned our room everyday.
jperfect hotel for no more of one night to stay. Just 30 min. to legoland Florida
The rooms were a bit small and the bed a little too firm but we would stay there again.
