This place was truly amazing. For those, who're looking for accommodation in a secluded are surrounded by nature, it's a perfect fit! The staff is very helpful, humble and full of positive energy. The city, Dominical, is very close by in case in need for anything. The only suggestion I'd make is to make sure to travel by motorcycle or a car that is suitable for hilly areas. It's not easy to get there, unless the transportation is right. Other than that, it was a wonderful experience and I'm hoping to come back soon.
Happy that I found this place. In the middle of the jungle, surrounded by waterfalls and pure nature. Nothing for "comfort-people" but for "nature-people" just the right stay! The kitchen is outside the house, everything you need. Camp fire if you want. I was lucky and "Rasta" helped me chop the wood. Place where I found peace - no tourists, no shops!
This jungle holds magic, and being able to sleep, eat, and exist within it is truly a gift. Randall (boss man) is incredibly friendly, the cabins are spectacularly simple and comfortable and spacious, and the wildlife was amazing. On our walk in we saw two kites and two toucans, and later tht night we found northern cat-eyed snakes and tons of interesting amphibians. The waterfalls are just a 30 minute walk from the lodge and a great place for swimming, cliff diving, and sunbathing. I would live here if I could.
I thoroughly enjoyed the 2.5 km walk to and from town, as it is beautiful jungle full of birdlife, but older/unhealthy clients would struggle with the heat and grade of the road. Take this into consideration if you are traveling by bus/foot. However if you have a car you can drive right to the property! Either way make it happen, these jungle mansions are worth the trip.
Waterfall is beautifull
We-fi is not here.
Location, solitude, proximity to two wonderful waterfalls, outside kitchens to use, very nice staff
A little on the pricey side, water pressure was not good.
