Pros: You'll be welcomed like family, fed like kings [if you choose], and have one of the best access points to the lakes. Incredible hosts, amazing food, tremendous hospitality. And personally crafted day hikes per expert recommendations and directions. We'd recommend this place to anyone!
Pros: After finding the hotel (from directions sent from the hotel) we were tired and wanted to relax. Ella was extremely helpful explaining the arrangement of the hotel as well as routes to take to see Plitvice Lakes the following day. By the time we had our luggage out of the car she had delivered the bottle of Croatian wine we purchased! The breakfast was the perfect combination of items. Lots of coffee too! Thank you for making us feel at home when we were so far away!
Pros: This hotel is a hidden gem in the area. We stayed in the newer area and it is lovely - quiet, clean, comfortable beds, friendly staff, and beautiful surroundings. There is also a lovely restaurant. I stayed here with two friends and we all enjoyed it.
Cons: The hotel was a little hard to find with our GPS. Please note the hotel was cash only so make sure you have cash:)
When visiting Plitvicka jezera, Etno Garden Exclusive is a great choice to consider. You can grab a bite to eat at the restaurant or wind down at the end of the day with a drink from the bar/lounge. Other highlights at this upscale guest house include a terrace and a garden, and rooms offer flat-screen TVs and minibars.
Pros: Staying in a home literally 50 meters from the top of the big waterfall at Plitvice Lakes was wonderful. Clean, private rooms with a helpful hostess.
Cons: Need a car for easy access to food and sights.
