Small cosy hotel
The attitude of the staff My room was 2 flights up very steep steps (typically Dutch) and there is no lift.
Typical dutch small and cosy hotel quiet & comfortable
Great comfort and ambiance, plus excellent late night arrival arrangments.Just a great place to stay. Easy access to and from motorways. Nothing.
Comfortable room in a small, picturesque town. Nice walks along the canal. Good for a one night stopover (rather than a destination in itself) on our journey around Holland. Very close to Uttrecht. The town clock going off every hour throughout the night! Free parking by canal (a short walk away) rather than outside the hotel.
One of the best small hotels i have seen in the Netherlands, very good in the small details that make the difference.
This very clean and quiet hotel is ideally situated to visit several Dutch towns in the vicinity like Amsterdam, The Hague, Rotterdam, Utrecht, Gouda, Delft which are all within 50 to 60 km of the hotel by car. We did not want to drive into the big towns and found the train station in Woerden, 7 kms away with Park + Ride facilities very practical! If you are claustrophobic, avoid room nr 9 which is very dark with a small window at knee level! If you are a light sleeper, avoid room nr 2 which looks out on the main street which gets busy at weekends.
Friendly hotel with a excelent staff Stair are very style
Clean, functional, good value for money, so much more character than the large faceless chains. Sometimes these small out of town bars/hotels/restaurants can be a gamble - but this one was not. The stairs are really steep!
very clean and very good staff
Friendly staff, availability, clean rooms
Friendly staff, felt very comfortable there. Free wifi in the room was a big bonus as I was on a business trip.
Great location. Very smoky and thin walls.
Quiet and pretty hotel in picturesque village just outside Gouda. Excellent breakfast, served beautifully. Nice feeling of old-fashioned hotel. Host & hostess very amenable Sadly, on Mondays, no food available in hotel, nor in rest of village. Were warned hotel restaurant closed...... but not the whole village! (ie both restaurants and the 2 cafes.) Bedroom & bathroom could really do with a face lift.
very nice small hotel located in picturesque Dutch village close to historic city of Gouda, owners very warm and speaking fluent English nothing in paricular, very steep staircase maybe, if you suffer from vertigo :)
Location Very noisy - don't stay on Thursdays if you want some sleep.
