It is central with good access to the river front & restaurants. it is quiet & food good.
The light in the room
Best hotel for comfy beds that we stayed at and we did at last 14 different ones in the month we were in Norway; that includes the ones we had for our Globus tour as part of that month; loved the separate bathroom, decor! Couldn't do breakfast as we had an early train to catch; would have appreciated a packed one, given us the night B4...but we didn't ask for it either... perhaps? Loved the fair trade support for tea and coffee plus the fancy machine in the bar area; luggage storage is great service (free) as is internet access for free; You could not help it but the night we were there, there was some big drama group and a huge audience with two very loud amplified singers right below our room....lots of noise from crowd...all eating apples for goodness sake; we like the window ajar a bit at night and that was not to be for us that night; no complaints; wish we would have stayed another night but we had to be in Porsgrunn to get that train and we were coming from Skien;
The stuff is very friendly and helpfull
Easy access by car and private parking
Booked a superior room, got a poor room at the backside of the Hotel. They changed to a better room after complaining, and got a better room. Even got a extra discount on the room.
Very pleasant & helpful staff, very clean hotel, breakfast buffett amazing, family room had plenty of space, bathroom very clean, overall a great place to stay, location was good for seeing the quieter side of Norway away from the Cities, Line on reception was a credit to the hotel. Larvik town was clean and very nice. N/A
The Staff was very nice and the food was good Friday and Saturday night they have a night club down stairs that was very very load. They should warn people in advance and move your room away from the noise.
Location That the minibar was locked
The room was ok; the buffet breakfast was good. The halll carpets and elevator were very worn and not clean. The location is not thrilling.
Breakfast included with the stay was very nice If possible, have information about the local area (Larvik, Sandefjord, Stavern, etc...) maps, etc...
had not internet conection in my room
We appreciated the free evening buffet. It was nice to have a break from the high dinner prices of Norway. Our room was very quiet and pleasant. The bathroom was large with lots of counter space. Parking was difficult and you had to pay for it.
Comfortable. Evening meal on Saturday poor. No room service.
Breakfast was poorly presented
The staff were just serviceminded in a way more than you can expect.
Our room was in the refurbished part and was very nice and comfortable. The hotel is centrally located. The choices for breakfast were very limited (esp. considering the price)and the older part of the building looks a little time-worn.
I liked the location of the hotel very well Parking of car was probelematic. I wished the guests would be encouraged to park their cars in such a way to allow others to park. In essence, the parking was quite haparzard
friendly staff small single beds in double room - bathroom ok but minimum comfort
All is perfect in this hotel!!! Nice and clean and the most beatiful spa I have never visited !
I absolutely enjoyed my stay. I was plesantly surprised by the beautiful surrounding scenery, the cleanliness and comfort, stylish and yet inviting atmosphere of the hotel and the friendly staff who greeted us everywhere we go. There is also a supermarket within a stone's throw away which made it even better. The whole experience was pleasant, comfortable, relaxing and revitalising.
Very nice modern architecture and interior design
I especially liked the design, comfort and setting. The views and perfect cobination of art and design The hotel is not really english minded in communication. I missed for example in the a la carte restaurant, english menus. The second thing is the parking policy. There's plenty of space in Larvik so make it better accesible by free parking areas
The hotel was an excellent relaxing experience situated right at the sea with wonderful service and great spa and treatments. Highly recommended. I should be back when the snow is there! a couple of mistakes on the final bill which indeed were fixed with no problems.
I liked the mineral spa and had a very nice meal I had booked an 80 minute facial but it only lasted 50 minutes. The bathroom was small with a very small shower. Breakfast was nothing special.
Fantastic spa facilities. Spa facilities close at 8pm on Saturday and 7pm on Sunday.
amazing rooms, spa and design throughout. A wonderful experience
friendly personnel, clean hotel, swimming pool, quiet location along fjord, good restaurant
Location to my family's cabin I did not know that there would be so many chldren there. I also thought there would be more of an adult only pool area
The reception lady was really helpfull The rest of the stay
fabulous feel like home: there is tove who makes your breakfast most mornings, others who make noon lunch; coffee is hot, chocolate is hot, waffles divine with lots of jam, meatballs done A+! all dining done in this cozy, homelike site with the local men discussing world affairs and solving themas well---sitting in back room with coffee.upstairs has a TV and sitting room on 3rd fl. with lots of old or donated books---we read a lot of them; we stayed 4 nights here and used this place as a jump off for our trains to Bo and Porsgrunn. It is a hike to the train station from the Dag Bondeheim but good for the legs!! Use their back enterance door facing the city library and the Greig concert place after hours as coffeestova door is locked. Only thing is that we found no reason to not need to stay another night or we would have. Desk clerks were so nice and promised to fix info for late comers who want to come in and find front door locked.
I think that the hotel was nice, clean with a helpful staff, comfortable bed and an excellent wireless connection in the room. It was a good value for the price in a very expensive country. Would definitely use this hotel again if I am back in Skien
OK location and parking. Breakfast was good. It was whar i expected for a business trip stop over.
It is very conveneient, close to the town centre and bus station. Also, it is cheap considering that Norway is an expensive country. It is better to have panel TVs.
Staff is very kind. Breakfast is very good too. The price is too high respect to room's quality. You can find better rooms at a lower price.
Nothing :-( 1. Price was the most expencive from all other 3 hotels we visit, included sas. 2. They where surprised that we had a reservation?? I did show them my printed copy.3. We did book a room in the renovated wing where the room was very poor and no confort at all. I cannot immagine how the "not renovated" rooms looks like!? 4. At 18:00 the kitchen closes for diner, that is the time that it must be opened, no? 5. Breakfist was very poor and you have to find plates, spoons, knives, ect. Yourselve! This is the 10th time I book a hotel in Booking.com and value for money was always realistic, only now. I do not know what conditions they must comply, but I am sure that they are not prepared for an organization like this.
Our room was very good, large ,spotlessly clean and a very luxurious double jacuzzi in the bathroom was provided. The staff were very helpful and obliging.Lovely location beside little lake. we arrived 8.30pm and we had asked the hotel to keep food for us,they did but it was not very enjoyable.Perhaps we were unlucky as we were told the kitchen was being upgraded currently. The whole set up is on the casual side a little like a hostel rather than a hotel, good for an activity holiday .
