Lovely, friendly welcome. Nothing fussy, just excellent quality & service
Excellent knowledge of staff of local sites to visit. Pleasant and professional
We loved the position of the hotel as it was in Porthmadoc town and very easy to get to other places. The hotel staff were lovely and so helpful. On our arrival they gave us a short talk informing us of the surrounding area, eating places, and local beach etc. Also our room was very warm, clean and comfortable and the breakfasts were amazing...so much choice.
very friendly owners, little things like making sure you had wine glasses was lovely.
Carl from the hotel was very helpful in letting us know all about the local area, especially places to eat. The room was very clean and cosy. Vouchers for Portmeirion were also available which meant we got in for free, which is always nice! N/A
The staff were very friendly and helpful. Hotel was very nice . The food in the Restaurant, was excellent. We would recommend this hotel to friends.
Our room with proper double bed was comfortable and well equipped with kettle and tea/coffee/biscuits and hairdrier, tv, telephone and notepad, bathoils/shampoos/shaving even a travel toothbrush and lots of soft clean towels. The meals can be taken in the bar or their restaurant and were good quality food. The breakfast spread was extensive with much to choose from as well as freshly cooked food. Our room was at the top up two flights of stairs. But since we were there to climb up Snowdon, it was ok.
Good warm room, comfortable bed and shower facility was clean and efficent. Food was good and service was likewise. No complaints at all.
Good staff and public areas Poor rooms not worth the chages
Excellent location in Porthmadog being right on the main st. The staff were friendly and helpful when required and the single room was of a good size with a decent bathroom. Not a bad point but a nice quirk was the slightly sloping floor but the squeaky floor did get a little annoying at times.
Helpful, friendly staff and cleanliness of hotel. Food is excellent No non-alcohol beers or wine available
Clean, friendly and comfortable. None to complain about excep[t that the duvet was a little heavy for our taste.
Quiet hotel despite being close to main road. Food is in attached pub - good quality & value so long as choice is ok. Pre-booking means any meals or drinks are separately charged & billed at point of use; not added to bill. Single rooms are compact!
The good points included the helpful staff, good food, nice lounge and offroad parking. The only bad point was the bedroom heating. Check in time is 3pm. But the heating was off until 4.30pm. And the bedroom was cold on arrival. It appeared to be off again during the early hours of the morning. As the outside temperature was about 10c deg. I would expect a warm room on arrival. This is penny pinching and management should look again at the bedroom heating policy.
Staff were always polite and helpful. Restuarant and bar meals excellent, Room very comfortable. Room could have been warmer, Never understood why hotels have strange Teabag brands.
The food was excellent. The fact that the location was very remote, was not given. The toilet facilities were very poor with a bad moldy odor. This room needed updating.
The hostpitality was very good and the service could not have been better.Value for money.
The location of the hotel is superb, a really get away from it all location. Colleen the owner is very welcoming as well, I will definatley go back to this hotel. Nothing
excellent food - breakfast and dinner, plus packed lunches available
The wonderfull views and having a footpath right outside their door. The staff were very attentive and the food was scrummy!!!!
Very friendly staff, lovely breakfast! We wish the restaurant had been open instead of going off-site for the evening.
The welcome was exceptionally good, and the location was breathtakingly beautiful. The hotel has new owners who are making additional improvements, but the experience over all was excellent.
Lovely hotel and owners, great views, will be back again !!
very convenient for many attractions, evening menu excellent
This hotel has an excellent location with good views of Snowdon - weather permitting!
Staff were excellent and nothing was too much trouble. We arrived quite late but were given a warm welcome. The food in the restaurant was very good and the atmosphere was very relaxed. The food, although excellent, was quite pricey.
Location and food
The welcome we received on arrival ,the size and cleanliness of the room and the friendliness of the manager and his wife
Nice clean room, and good food.
we liked the fact it was not far to other town's and the countryside was on the door step. the street light outside our room kept the room light at night
Courteous staff; cleanly room and facilities; good food; great location.
I recently spent 2 nights at the hotel at found the staff extremely friendly, the room comfortable and the location ideal being on the edge of the Snowdonia National Park and also on the coast. The restaurant served well cooked traditional food. I would certainly stay there again.
very friendly staff, excellent level of service and would be more than happy to stay again.
well furnished nice hotel food was not brilliant and waiting staff under pressure which reflected in the service ie it was clear that they did not like being asked for anything we did not like or that was wrong
Easy access to North Wales tourist attractions. Friendly staff and great food.
Plesent place to stay friendly staff None
Hotel Staff very friendly and food excellent. No Sky TV
Superb home made food. Relaxed atmosphere, ample parking and good location
The staff were very thoughtful and tried to cater to your every need. The food in the restaurant was excellent was excellent as well.
The room, the food, the friendly family running it and nice dog, the easy parking and easy-to-find location.
The staff provided excellent service from checking in to when we left. The room was lovely and we were able to borrow DVD's to watch. The small touches make it extra special.
Parking just outside your room. Fridge in room. Friendly staff ready to advise about "places to go"
Hotel staff were very friendly and helpful in planning our trips out.
Friendly, cooperative and obliging management and staff Nothing stands out
Staff were always very helpful & friendly
Pleasant and comfortable, attentive staff, first class food N/A
Fantastic setting. The owners have obviously spent a lot of care, time and money in creating somewhere really special. The new Dining Room is an excellant addition.
the bed and the breakfast and the location bathroom too small , window rattled in high winds, tv channels poor
Beautifully preserved and restored Victorian country house; very comfortable lounges and outside seating area with sea views. Full of character; secluded grounds.
Excellent hotel. Attentive staff and very good food at a reasonable price.Would definitely stay again. We got an upgrade which was a lovely surprise.
Big, spacious room. Quiet hotel, set back from main road. The food served in the restaurant was over priced and not to our liking
Location, environment plus service ecellence Gravel Car Park less than biker friendly!
apreciated the room upgrade, good freshly cooked breakfast, dinner excellent, attentive service throughout and tastefully furnished
Nice location, nice setting and building. Cups dirty. Staff could have been friendlier and more welcoming. Shower could have been a bit more powerful.
lovely building and decor rooms were perhaps a little dated and I moved from one room because it smelt funny!
