McMenamins Crystal Hotel puts you in a great location, within a 15-minute walk of Providence Park and Pioneer Courthouse Square. Guests can take a dip in the indoor pool or grab a bite to eat at Zeus Cafe, which serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Also, Moda Center and Veterans Memorial Coliseum are within a short drive.
Cons: Bathroom was not in our private room, elevator was ancient, lighting was too dark, street was too noisy.
Unique
Pros: Artsy, cool
Cons: Bed was uncomfortable
Pros: the pool is relaxing after a long day
Cons: loud recycling all night long
Pros: The hotel is so interesting, historically and artistically.
Pros: I liked the staff, the location, the restaurant, the soaking pool, the decor, the room, the themes, the lyrics, the view, the charm...
Cons: Since the Crystal is a renovated but charming old building with charming old windows, street noise can be intrusive (trash day can be brutal). Now that I know what the earplugs in the nightstands are for, my stays are much more pleasant.
