Pros:We had an amazing rep introduce us to the hotel and city and hooked us up with an amazing room. the room had great aesthetics and had everything we needed for our long stay. The hotel was close to a lot of attractions, although china town street wasn't as lively as promoted.
Cons:whether it was our floors cleaners but for some reasons we always found ourselves missing our complimentary breakfast request bags. This lead us to request breakfast over the phone but we didn't get it. We had hit and miss service from the attached restaurants and bars.
Pros:The hotel itself was eclectic and aesthetically appealing with great service. Every person was polite and couldn’t do enough to help. The coffee shop was always good with fast efficient service
Cons:Between the air conditioning that seemed hard to get to the right balance, and a bed and pillows that just weren’t as comfortable as most hotels, it wasn’t as comfy as I hoped The restaurant at the same level as the lobby was also disappointing. Great menu, but the reality wasn’t good. Nothing was cooked in a way to bring flavor out, my rib eye fajitas on a cast iron skillet should have been delicious, with some crispy fat and edges but the outside wasn’t seared and so it was generally an anaemic looking steak with blobs of uncooked fat. For dessert I had a chocolate avocado mousse, thinking it would be made with avocado instead of flour. It appeared to be a normal mousse, but harder and colder than usual, as though it had been part frozen, with an avocado spread smeared on it, which pretty much ruined it....and I love avocado!
