What are the pros of staying at Mystay Porto Centro?
Great value and amazing for money. Good spot to explore Porto. Great accommodation with good location. Good location and responsive communication from staff. Well located, easy check-in/check-out and clean bedroom. Very quite area and clean. It was clean, good location, the size of the suit was very good. Everything worked with codes to unlock doors. It was very clean, nice place and in a very position. Near to attractions. Everything was nice. It‘s clean and in the middle of Porto - perfect start for all explorations. Great location, very clean and new apartment. The staff and booking process and communication was excellent. They were very responsive to anything we asked. The place was clean. Room was very nice, clean. Nice bed, nice bathroom. Great AC. Amazing location, right in the center, so comfortable. Great little studio with everything you need : walking distance to the city, wifi to look for the good adresses in Porto, fridge, A/C, linens & toiletries, baby’s crib… Very well located and quiet, many restaurants around, it also has a small kitchen. The location is in downtown Porto and it’s easy to reach the main touristic attractions on foot. Self check-in is very easy and fast. It was in a very nice location with various breakfast spots nearby. Everything was clean and tidy. Nice location. Very clean and well equipped. The hotel hotel is very well located. It has a mini super market in just 4 minutes walk and plenty of restaurants to choose. Walking 10 minutes, you can reach in the center of Porto. Also, if you are traveling with car, you can find a small parking just in front of the building. Other than that, the room was very clean, the bed was comfortable, although the pillows were slightly plain. It was a great 3-nights staying. Check-in was without having to meet someone. They wanted us to pay the city fee online. There is an elevator in the building. The room is really tiny. The room had a tiny window that led into the hallway of the house - a view of the inner staircase. The room was quiet and nothing disturbed us. Very comfortable bed. Shower with warm water, sufficient pressure. There was also a hairdryer, soap, mini shampoo and conditioner. The room had air conditioning. There is a grocery store around the corner from the accommodation and a restaurant nearby. It was suitable for an overnight stay, I recommend it. All we needed was somewhere clean and comfortable to get showered and sleep. That's exactly what we got. Good location for us... 29mins walk to the River. Great food options just 1 min away, but no noise to our room. Clean and organise. Clean and comfortable room near from city center(it’s 10min by foot)! They had also kitchen which was prepared with some cutlery/ cups with free coffee. and clean shower room. In shower room they had soap, shampoo and dryer. Very efficient design and accommodations ! Located in the very centre, offers everything you need for a short stay. Easy to check-in and to check-out. Room was decorated nicely, and both room and bathroom were clean. Location (aside from the noise issue) was really great - at the top of the hill so a walk down into town for drinks or dinner, with lots of bars and restaurants close by. Check in online was easy. great location everything is as easily accessible
What are the cons of staying at Mystay Porto Centro?
Code of front door did not work. Very small rooms which feel cramped up. property is clean and has a small kitchen area. You could hear the next door neighbours pretty clearly and also the noise from the street was loud because it was by a busy street. You have to contact them to get the code to enter when you arrive. The room was clean. There is a small closed terrace shared with another room. The cleaning lady is nice. But we got the room at the corner. The wifi was very weak. I couldn't connect it. The hot water was gone after the first shower. I took a shower with cold water during 10°c. The room was cold during the night. Overall was ok. Maybe the room was a bit too small. The toilet made some noises at night because it was constantly refilling the tank as there chain had a small loss. Pillows and the bed wasn’t comfortable for me. It would be nice to have salt and spices in the kitchen, the knife that was among clean dishes, was oily and very dirty. Room was a bit small but okay. It was absolutely cold. There was no any heater in the room ..zero! Also any heater in the bathroom. So it was more much colder than outside. Our stay was in December, so with such cold it was really very unpleasant stay in room, and we were totally freezing Also in bathroom on the ceiling there was something like mildew. Check in is very uncomfortable. You need to do it online. I did it. However they didn't receivey information in their system, hence it was very not comfortable. The room was really small, with very small space to go from the sleeping area to the toiled and kitchen area. An electric kettle should be provided. Slightly noisy with main road outside but it was fine. The noise. There is almost no isolation between the rooms. You hear basically everythinh from talking, sneezing till the toilet and shower noises. It felt as if the toilet of the other room was right behind my pillow…oh and if you finally manage to fall asleep with earplugs the neighbours rooster will make sure you wake up at 4:45…I couldn‘t rate the staff as there is none. There was nothing to complain about at all. View wasn’t as good as we hoped but it was still good to have an outside area to sit. small room. I was disappoint, there is no reception to deal with. Also the walls were so thin, I could hear next door neigbours. There was no cooler to get fresh drinkable water. I liked basically everything except... In the bathroom on the ceiling there is a noticeable amount of mold going on. I would suggest the owners check it out. What if some people have asthma or other allergies, after all it's not good to breathe in mold spores. Just keep in mind that there is no host, so they will send you 2 codes (entrance & room door) for check-in. The whole room was quite small and the bathroom even smaller, but the main problem was sound isolation either from inside and outside, as we could clearly hear noises from the close rooms and above all seagulls and other birds in the early morning. Another aspect making sleep very hard was the impossibility to make the room completely dark with the curtains. The bed wasn‘t really comfortable, because there weren’t normal blankets besides a really thick one without a bed sheet and two really thin ones. The kitchen Equipment was okay but nothing really specially since there is not even salt and pepper given (only little pack of salt) and no kitchenroll. There were bugs. When I checked in upon entering my room there was a moth.. the next day I ordered for a room cleaning and when I came back I saw insects in the shower area bugs and flies. But other than that it was good. I think the price for such a tiny room is overrated. There were bugs. When I checked in upon entering my room there was a moth.. the next day I ordered for a room cleaning and when I came back I saw insects in the shower area bugs and flies. But other than that it was good. Lack of human contact makes it a bit of a cold experience but I guess it’s the concept! The noise - we had a room at the front of the property and could hear everything from the street, every passing car, every whisper, especially the drunk group stumbling home yelling at 6am. Room was also a little small, only three hangers and no drawers. no storage for luggage when leaving , which wound have meant dragging our cases around for 7 hours with us . thankfully a nearby hotel agreed to hold our cases - a basic facility that should be available
