We chose this hotel because its location was convenient for us (close to the Saint Michel de Cuixa Abbey) and the price was ok. The staff served dinner more quickly so we could be in time for our concert. Dinner and breakfast were not so good for the price they charged.
Staff very friendly and efficient. The towels were old and worn. Very noisy room, particularly in the morning.
The hotel was portrayed as being in a much different location - there was a sports centre next door and not a friendly ambience compared to many other similar priced hotels on our trip. The value for money was not good & was the oldest room on our 3 week, 15 hotel holiday.
Unfortunately there was nothing to recommend this hotel. We only stayed 4 nights when we had booked for 5. A great disappointment as we know this area well. Reception was very dark and the receptionist unwelcoming. The room was very small with uncomfortable beds and a tiny window (no balcony) so that it appeared dreary at all times of the day.
Quality of food
right next door to the municipal lido. very clean and the staff were very accommodating. bit basic
If they stay open out of season, they need to provide the service. First room offered, bed unmade.
I did like nothing. The bathroom was dirty- I have found hair into the bathtube. This is the wors hotel of my life.
Convenience Difficult to find in the town
Going out Basic doesnt describe it, the amount charged which is excessive does not reflect the value for money.
Warm welcome upon arrival. Quiet spacious rooms with balcony/terrace and relaxing common garden area. Good pool, perfect for unwinding after a strenuous hike in the mountains. Dated rooms (furniture, wall paper, etc). Value for money was low given remote location and decor. Breakfasts quite expensive for simple buffet, with no hot cooked options.
We had 2 adjoining rooms which was a perfect configuration for travel with our teenage daughter. Each had a separate area with mini-fridge, bathroom and (small) vestibule, so it almost felt like a small apartment. A small outdoor patio was delightful for an afternoon drink, though we could just as easily have sat at the very nice tables around the lovely pool. The host could not have been more helpful in terms of recommendations, from local restaurants and sights (several times researching places for me online). Cold drinks were available at all hours. The location was great - just below the uber-charming village of Vernet-les-Bains, a terrific base for exploring the Eastern Pyrenees. The only problem was that the windows didn't open! Once you lower the heavy gate to keep the morning sun out, it became stuffy. This was only a problem on the second of our two nights (the first night was cool), and because we were leaving, we didn't ask for assistance - so perhaps there's a solution we never learned about. I should also mention that breakfast was 12 euros - a little steep, we thought, for a buffet that was certainly a nice spread.
Big rooms, booked ahead get a good price for them. Would be good to have your own balcony, though, given distance from town.Very peaceful, hotel has games room and good lounge, too. Wi-fi not available in rooms, have to go to public areas of hotel. Tiny TV in rooms.
Although in need of a refurbishment we found the Mas Fleuri to be a very friendly and relaxed hotel and Stephan, manager, was very helpful.
The setting itself is comfortable and welcoming. The staff is very warm and helpful. The rooms were commodious, comfortable and clean. It is nicely situated in relation to the rest of Vernet les Bains. I think the reception sign needs to be more prominent.
There was a lot of space in the room, also a balcony. The garden (pool)was nice although we didn't get the chance to use the facilities. The dining room and breakfast were nice. The room was smelly. I think it came from the carpet and no air conditionning. We had to sleep with the windows closed. The decor was outdated. For the price we had better elsewhere, even in more popular areas.
Good location, convenient design of rooms, nice staff. Very clean rooms, beautiful garden.
Not having a bar or restaurant was limiting and tea/coffee making facilities in the room would have been appreciated
Location, pool, staff None, really
I liked its location in a beautiful French village, its surroundings (the river beside, green mountains, nature everywhere...)
The setting of the hotel is beauteful. The surroundings are very impressive The room was very small. The hotel is very old. There is no buffet breakfast and everythung seems like an old people house.
The reception was extremely friendly and helpful. The room with a balcony was lovely, with mountain views. The location was absolutely brilliant.
It was quiet Breakfast was extremely poor for the price of it, we wanted to cancel breakfast the night before and we were told it was too late because it had been already bought for us, and the morning after we discovered that we were only getting a croissant and a bun.
We enjoyed the resteaurant especially None
central, and very clean
Everything about this place was fantastic. The rooms were spacious and comfortable and furnished with care and attention to detail. The pool, hot tub, sauna and steam room facilities were amazing - we enjoyed a private swim in an illuminated pool before enjoying 20 minutes in the hot tub beneath the stars. The owners were incredibly welcoming and helpful and we were made to feel very much at home in their beautiful property. Prades is a lovely small town in a beautiful setting and has a wonderful atmosphere. C'est magnifique! That we could only stay for one night! We will definitely return!
The 'Domaine De La Tannerie' is almost the best hotel in France we've ever stayed in: appealingly arranged rooms with different topics (our room: India), a nice garden with swimming pool and jacuzzi, very kind and helpful owners and an excellent breakfast! -
Warm friendly welcome and breakfast with quality local produce. Unique and stylish decor.
