5.0 Okay
Pros: good location.
Cons: I had no cell phone coverage at all in my room. The room was hot and the fan was noisy when I had it on. The fridge rumbled all night. The motel was hardly full yet the rooms either side of me were used and one had a smoker. I had doors banging from either side till late. Why not stagger the guest in rooms so they are not next to each other. I was put in a disabled unit so open shower,

Pukekohe B&B - Pukekohe

6.9 Good (22 reviews)
7.5 Good
Cons: could have done with a box of tissues !
8.3 Excellent
Cons: I was cold.I felt it was too late in the evening once I realized. I didn't want to disturb the family. I needed an extra blanket.
3.8 Mediocre
Pros: Friendly daughter could speak englush
Cons: Felt like we were banished to our bedroom! Lounge was filled with STUFF and used by family looked like they slept in there. Bathroom was unclean toilet was in laundry. No hot cold drinks available.
3.8 Mediocre
Pros: The host was reasonably pleasant and welcoming. The toilet and shower areas were clean. There was a small but very pleasant garden around the front door.
Cons: The room was tiny. We couldn’t have both our suitcases open and still open the door. The bed wasn’t very comfortable and was very small, and the blanket needed cleaning. The whole place had an unpleasant smell and unwelcoming living area. The shared toilet was at the end of the hallway in one direction, and the shared shower room was at the end of the hallway in the other direction. We had to ask for towels and a second pillow, and were assured that despite possible stains on the towels that they had been washed “with detergent.” There was no sound insulation and every sound made by the other guests traveled through the walls, plus we were kept up all night by the very loud water rushing down the rain gutter downspout right outside our window. This place would be OK for a young single person at NZD$40 a night. At NZD$78 for a couple it was a terrible value compared to all the other places we’ve stayed in NewZealand. This was by far the least appealing accommodation we’ve had in New Zealand. We found it so depressing that we got up at 6:00am and left without even trying to shower.
3.8 Mediocre
Pros: Nothing
Cons: Can't not use the kitchen or the lounge and making noise at 5.30 and got lock out.
7.5 Good
Pros: The price was right. Room was neat and tidy and bed was comfortable.
7.5 Good
Pros: Comfortable bed, warm & dry. I am easily pleased as all I want is a a good bed and nights sleep & a good shower in the mornining and also in the evening before I dressed to go to a dinner. Breakfast was basic but ample. I had poached eggs on toast, sliced orange, marmite on toast.......didn't like the coffee but Macca's is just down the road
Cons: For what I paid it was great. It is not the Ritz. There are many things you could improve but for what I paid I received what I wanted and was happy.
4.3 Okay
Pros: Location. Comfy bed
Cons: Not given our own key to the property. 9am checkout. Lack of privacy. Shared shower and toilet with three generations of family members. Dined at small table in kitchen corner. One towel for two guests. No ironing board cover (supplied with blanket). Dirty iron. No coat hangers in room. No dresser. No bedside lamps. Mirror on floor (okay if you’re 3 feet tall). One power point, accessed after moving bed. No separate lounge or sitting area. No butter/margarine as “we don’t use it”, only marmite. No milk as “we ran out”. Soy available. Only oats for cereal. No bacon, received salami or sliced pressed chicken with scrambled eggs and dry toast. Tomato sauce offered. The final straw was grandad’s portable urinal left in the hand basin. Cheap accommodation but hardly worth the stress.
7.5 Good
Pros: Owner was nice and helpful.
Cons: Bathrooms were not very clean, dirty mirrors, dusty basin, mould in the shower, toilet dirty.
