Superb. A small point but in a 5* hotel WiFi should be a free service
The staff the hotel and the food was first clase Dresscode for dinner is not a good idear when there is only one choice of resturant, we came from Hong Kong and did not bring dresses with us, we was on holiday
It was nice enough but not great and very expensive compared to other much better hotels that we've stayed in. There weren't any prices on the lunch menu which is quite rude. We didn't realise that there was a shuttle bus to the beach, we thought it was on the beach. It was further than 100k from the airport advertised.
The personal attention of the Manager and the front of house staff was excellent, we were made to feel very welcome. The pool life guard kept the pool area very clean and tidy was very friendly and helpful putting out towels and putting up the sun umbrellas, the complimentary iced tea by the pool at 5.00pm is a nice touch, and at a minimal cost to the hotel so perhaps a complimentary 3.00pm iced tea would be possible. For a Luxury hotel the rooms were a bit small, and at Euro 630 a night I had expected a bigger room with more comfortable furnishings. The bathroom was probably ready for a refurbishment, the knobs on the draw pulls were tarnished. However the grounds and the pool and the views from the room were wonderful. But just a bit expensive and the breakfast buffet was not as extensive as a hotel at this price range should offer, there was no hot food available. The Excelsior in Florence is less expensive but with bigger more luxurious rooms and wonderful selection for breakfast.
Cleanliness and friendly staff Cost of wine in restaurant was too expensive. Service charge for eating at beach restaurant.
We had a very nice week. Ideal for the family and not too far from the beach. We took bicycles and used them to travel to/from the beach every day.Good location, nice facilities. No problems. For smaller kids, the footpaths from hotel and beach didn't join up very well. I wanted to play badminton on the grass, but it was not allowed - why?
Th staff is great and helpful, we booked for 5 nights but due to the end of the season there was no one in Punta Ala- They refunded us the money and we only stayed one night and ran as fast as we could from the ghost town. The appartment is clean but is not close to the beach like it is supposed Make sure to check the calender for the right season, all shops are closed mid september and the locals overcharge everything.
