Beautiful location, comfortable room, friendly staff
Very friendly welcome form the staff and spacious clean room with sea view. All in an excellent location at a very good price.
Lovely people, excellent room with nice balcony overlooking the sea, good food at the Casino down the road. None
Beautiful view from balcony. Walking distance to town, but in a quieter location.
Room very comfortable, spacious and quiet; all in room facilities very good (specially the bathroom); private parking; nice breakfast; excellent position just in front of the beach and 10 minutes walking from the center;
Very friendly staff, lovely hotel, location etc. None
The location of this hotel is fantastic. Can't be any better. Across the road from beautiful coastline, crashing waves, you can see birds and overlook the open ocean. Not far from the centre of town (walking distance) and beautiful nature with walking paths. The hotel, whilst comfortable and clean, is a little dated. The furniture is old and not extremely fashionable. But it serves a purpose and the rooms are large with beautiful views. Note that there is no elevator.
Very friendly staff. Nice amenities. Great parking. Just a very nice stay.
Clean well run and very pleasant staff
The spa facilities directly accessible from within the hotel. The Seaside. The city area.
The Director . I did not like the attitude of some female employees who worked the reception desk ( the morning I left ) and at the Thalasso 's welcome desk to gather some quick info ( the evening I arrived, around 17:50 ) and told by her , that closing time was 18:00, and to come back the next morning .
hotel was very nice, clean and comfortable. the staff spoke good enough english and were helpful. food was very expensive eg E25 for breakfast each and E21 for a club sandwich. E9 fpr a pint. good twenty min walk from the town.
The staff were very well trained and did their best to make our stay enjoyable. The chef was superb! We have visited the hotel over the last five or six years and have always enjoyed our visits. The worst point is the steep flight of stairs up to the front door. My husband has heart problems and found taking his luggage up from the car to reception was very stressful. A ramp or access via the lift to the car park would greatly enhance our pleasure.
View and location is wonderful! Great scenic beauty and close to shoreside walking trail. Hotel staff were efficient and welcoming. Facilities were clean and well maintained. Plenty of towels available for pool. Nothing
The location and of course the heated pool were great. No Coffee or Tea facilities in the room. We desperately would have liked a cup of tea and did not want to pay 4 Euro for it at the bar downstairs.
nice location at in front of beach.we enjoyed swimming pool, jacuzzi, hammam and sauna. there is no cattle and fridge in the room.the room was not so huge.rooit was served 1h for dinner on sat.
Best hotel in the village, but not a great hotel otherwise. Close to beach, spacious parking, nice spa and swimming pool. Veeery slow wifi. Disabled travellers should ask about access to hotel. I had a very heavy suitcase and you cannot roll it to the main lobby, but must lift it up the steps leading to main entrance from parking.
Beautiful location, good facilities, very friendly, attentive and obliging staff. None
The service from the staff was excellent & the food was fantastic
Good size room with balcony overlooking the sea. Good parking. Clean, good size indoor pool. Good breakfast but lunch or dinner menu, unchanged during the week, was of only average quality.
nice location very expensive for drinks
We both enjoyed our stay of two nights but were slightly dissappointed that the restaurant was only open for the first night as we had an excellent meal on that occasion. We had to search around for somewhere in town on the second evening and there were very few places open.
Nice duplex ideal for a family stay.
Nice location. Good heated inside swimming pool with nice spa.
too far from main town centre/cafes restaurants
The smell in the bathroom.
More than 2km from the city center. Difficult to walk there in bad weather or with children. No eating/shoping facilities in the walking distance. Plus, there's very limited parking avalability in the city center.
The hotel is run in a relaxed manner. The use of the facilities, swimming pool etc. Also in a nice quite area. Not a place to stay in if you are looking for entertainment in the evening in the hotel.
All the staff were very friendly and helpful.Anything could be arranged quickly and simply such as bike hire Prices were expensive but that is more due to the poor exchange rate
Very clean. Good value for money for hotel in a touristy/popular area. Liked the duplex family rooms Rooms a bit small
Food choice and quality were excellent. Staff were attentive and very helpful. Photos on web site don't do it justice - pool though covered had gardens on both side accessible from the pool area. Pool was fantastic for the children. Room and en-suite were light, airy and spotless. Beds very comfortable.
Excellent hotel, good facilities, very clean Whilst I do speak french my husband or mother do not and some of the staff are not interested if you are not french I would go back but not recommmend others. Food overpriced for quality and bar tarrif never the same twice. Ignore the flags on the name badges, this is supposed to state what language they speak, it clearly does not.
The staff were helpful, the room clean and with a balcony that overlooked the sea. It was within walking distance of the sea, within walking distance of the centre of Quiberon and within easy walking distance of the Ferries to the Isles.
If you have a room at the back (as we did) you will be overlooking the "Night Pub" and Salle de Jeu. They are open until 0400!!!! The street will be full of youths talking and shouting, so don't expect to sleep much!!!!!
The location and view from the bedroom were great. There was a very high standard of cleanliness and we felt very welcome.
When they knew we were a family with 2 children under 2 years, they moved us to room #3, which has a second bedroom attached to this and is a little larger than usual rooms. This was a very nice gesture of the hotel and made our stay much more enjoyable. The back of the hotel looks out of Bar Hacienda, which unfortunately becomes very noisy late at night. Hotel did warn the gendarmerie, which helped for one night, but the next night the noise was back.
I enjoyed the professional warm approach by all members of the staff
Central location Room cleanliness could have been a bit better. Clearer instructions and in English for parking arrangements
Everything. The hotel was 2min from the beach and 5min from the center of Quiberon, the room was very tastefully decorated and very quiet. The owners really nice. We will go back again.
This Hotel should not be rated 3star.No lifts and has 4 floors.Garden untidy. No staff on duty in the evening.Bedroom was modernised the entrance and bathroom was 20 years old and not decorated.Hair dryer falling off wall.Lucky to obtain 1 star in the UK.Overpriced. Location was good to beach and not noisey.
Hotel stuff absolutely didn't speak english
Very good bed, important after a long trip by car and cueing to the hotel for the final 10 Km (august),to be welcomed even in nice Dutch (!), good location, excellent service to find adequate restaurants; If some approvement can be made: a curtain or screen on the bath in orther to allow taking a shower without spreading water over the whole bathroom; wireless for laptop that is strong enough to go to the second floor (no only operational till first floor)
The nice seaview from de terrace, the wide room, and the really charming woman at the reception.
Great staff and nice room. Clean, smart and modern Expensive for what it is and no facilities
We received wonderful service from your Manager JO and would recommend your hotel to others. No
Clean comfortable room and value for money. very friendly staff and made to feel very welcome limited facilities - more of a bed and breakfast than a hotel
Very good reception. Very helpful and friendly lady. Room very big and updated well whilst retaining some quirkiness. Balcony. Very distant sea view.
best hostel ever stayed in france
Convenient location for walks along beach. Expensive for just a room.
clean and comfortable at a fair price.
Email communication was very clear in arranging our arrival with key code and keys. The room was nice and clean with a nice balcony. Perfect location within walking distance of the beach. I will definitely recommend this place to friends.
Hotel staff were very pleasant and helpful. The rooms were nicely furnished and clean. The apartments are only 2 mins from Goviro beach which is beautiful and parking was easy. The hotel staff rang in advance to let us know how to get into the building if we arrived at lunchtime which was very helpful. The balcony was nice to sit out in but our apartment overlooked a car park and a smoking shelter for staff from a nearby hotel. However during the evening this was not a problem at all
Good service - close to beaches, and the Thalasso Institute with its pilgrimage of healthworkers to their smoking spot right below at the parking lot, deliveries and tennis lessons. Quite basic and run down kitchenette equipement - neighbour's dog and tv.
Brilliant position and good views from the window and balcony
Pleasant welcome by owner. Good position overlooking the port and beach. Clean and comfortable for a short stay. Free secure car parking an advantage.
Lovely position on beachfront. Delightful breakfast room and good restaurant downstairs/
The sea view, big window and big balcony. Also the breakfast room and terrace. The restaurant too was good. Big room. The small stairs were a little bit dangerous with the luggage, a lift would have been practical.
This is a superbly situated hotel. Great sea and harbour views. Good food, comfortable rooms and pleasant service. Can't wait to return.
We were a young Australian married couple doing a road trip across France. We found the hotel location and price to be great. It was in walking distance from the bay area and ferry. Clean room and free wifi access. Helpful staff. It covered all the basics for a comfortable stay along our trip.
The position of the Hotel du Petit Matelot in great for exploring the beautiful coastline, and also the local attractions of Carnac and Quiberon. I think it is ideal for someone wanting cheaper, basic accomodation. To use as a base for site seeing/exploring. I was slightly disappointed not to have a sea view( there are houses between the Hotel and the sea). Also there is not much to do at the Hotel itself. We did not eat at the Hotel restaurant so cannot comment on this.
Very friendly welcome by manageress Babette at reception. All team staff polite and friendly. Good restaurant specialising in sea food and fish. When I asked what weight of mussels they estimated that the rerstaurant provided in as season it was calculated at over 4 tonnes! Front of hotel bedrooms a bit noisy from road traffic although ours was fine at the rear.
Convenient room, with a room & bathroom a lot bigger than in typical low budget hotels.Great location to explore Quiberon's area. Limited choice of food at breakfast.
Our host put us at ease from the start and it didnt feel like a `hotel`. Our daughter was very well looked after - through the host and his family and a complete understanding for this age group was there! Food was amazing and the cleaniness of the room was unbelievable. Would love to return to laze around the pool before dinner again!!! The only sore point was the surrounding area - nothing would encourage us to stay there!
the frienlyness of the staff
The location of the hotel The room what we had, had very small bathroom and specilly for a tall people it wasn't easy take a shower...
I can not recommend this hotel. It is first French Hotel, that has overcharged and then, using my credit card details, to debit my Visa card again! The cost of the room was 135 euros for 3 nights (45 euros per night) (as per my Booking Advice), however the Hotel invoiced me at 65 euros per night, and the receptionist gave me 60 euros in cash back for the overcharge. The invoice of 218.35 (which included some meals) was correctly dedited on my Visa Card. However, they dedited on my visa card an extra 184.40 euros!!! This means the room has cost 106.46 euros per night instead of the 45 euros.
Close to beach. Too close to main road, not enough on site parking.
friendly staff parking!!!
Excellent location and very good restaurant, courteous staff
Very helpful and lovely staff It would be nice to have tea and coffee making available in the room
Excellent staff, very clean and quiet. Very close to center of town.
It was a nice comfortable hotel to come back to after a long day exploring the beautiful surroundings of Quiberon. The walls are a bit thin and you could hear the other guests showering and making a lot of noise - especially late at night! The mosquito's were a bit of a nuisance too!
Very friendly welcome and treatment throughout the stay (information about local events, great service during breakfast), very clean and well-maintained bedrooms and rest of hotel, walking distance to the centre and the seaside.
very nice room, good breakfast, car park, cleanliness
Helpfulness of staff and convenient position for town centre although harbour front restaurants were a 15min walk away. No door on the bathroom, only a curtain and no attempt at soundproofing the rooms & corridors. Also no cheese or meat at breakfast.
The rooms were nice-looking and light. The breakfast was good. The receptionists were very friendly and helpfull. The location was right next to the town-center, but there was no noise.
The staff was warm and welcoming. Centrally located. The rooms were really cute. Overall a great experience.
Good room, good service, a place for car
good 2 star b&b in quiet location yet walking distance to beach only limited parking on site
Pleasant staff excellant location None
Nice Swimming pool, fantastic location and tremendous views over the harbour. Hotel seems tired and in need of freshening up. Breakfast was poor - bread and croissants were stale and the breakfast staff surly and unwelcoming.
Location was excellent!
Fantastic views from our bedroom window and the hotel is located at the quiet side of the town. No kittle in the room and no iron. The breakfast was very poor compairing to Irish standards.
Genuinely friendly staff, helpful and proffesional,Swimming pool, easy parking, great central position, good food & good value no
Comfortable hotel close to the port. Nice room overlooking the sea. Good reasonably priced dinner.
Breakfast pretty good. The "demi-pension" evening meals were nice although no choice available. It was handy that the hotel had its own parking which was well sign-posted. Rooms clean with good shower. Rooms a bit cramped (small) and no extractor fan in toilet/shower room.
Excellent location in a nice little town, very friendly staff, free on-site parking. No elevator which was a bit of a pain with a pram but I should have checked that before I booked. Plumbing is a bit noisy when next door have a shower or use the toilet early in the morning.
friendly and helpfull staff breakfast only coffee, bread and jam, no cheese, egg or ham
quite , parking insonorization of the room
The hotel is beautifully situated just accross from the beach. The owner was very polite and helpful and he spoke good English. The garden was a nice extra. There was no lift which could be difficult for some, The hotel had not taken my diet (gluten free) into account even though I had asked for it
The hotel was so clean and friendly. The restaurant was excellent and the hotel manager was very welcoming. no
