The Repose is an oasis of calm in the heart of Salé s traditional medina, which is just across the River Bouregreg from Morocco s capital, Rabat, on the Atlantic coast. Lovingly restored by the owners, Rachid and Jan, this luxury riad has been renovated and decorated using traditional materials and craftsmanship (with a modern and subtle touch) to give a haven of peace and tranquility. The whole riad oozes Moroccan charm and each of the 4 suites has its own unique identity. The salon is ideal for dining in the cooler months, reading a book or playing games. The courtyard is great for sipping tea, listening to the splashes of the fountain, while the terrace is fabulous for breakfast, sunbathing or siestas in the shade. With Rachid and Jan on-site, the hospitality and customer service are second-to-none and the combination of their local knowledge and awareness of international expectations ensures a warm and comfortable stay.
Excellent service, friendly and helpful staff. The atmosphere of the Rad. The terrace. The location in Side is really central. The equipment was complete (even black Moroccan soap was provided).
No sign on the front door (impossible to find without assistance the first time). Maybe just a little bit too service-oriented. Only vegetarian food served at diner (we didn't taste, but few dishes we glanced at looked nice). The early morning prayer (5am is a bit early to be collaterally woken up, although I have to admit that it sounded very nice).
Rachid and Jan are great and I liked having a chat with them after our day in Rabat. The riad is excellent and perfumed and really relaxes you. Rachid e Jan sono carinissimi ed é stato interessante chiacchierare con loro dopo la nostra visita a Rabat. Il riad é il migliore che ho visto. Bellissimo arredamento, profumato e rilassante.
The owners, Jan and Rachid, are lovely and friendly and make you feel at home. The Riad is very new and beautiful, a perfect mix of Moroccan traditions with European design to make everything very comfortable. The continental breakfast with some taste from Morocco is served every morning on the terrace at the top of the Riad. Jan, from England, is simply perfect to show you the beauty of the city with all the information to get them. Salé is a small city with a very charming Medina: a perfect standing to discover Rabat, very close to get the city in few minutes but far enough to have an its own personality.
So kind people so friendly and everything is clean and good. The room are great enviroment.
I'm sure that soon they will improve that (the riad is new), but the room and the windows do not have keys, and it is not possible to have dark inside the room. To find the place ask someone or you will never find it.
