10.0 Excellent
Pros: The room was beautiful and well stocked. Loved the idea of the continental breakfast already in the room so no need to meet others timetable. Grocery store and restaurant in walking distance. Owner incredibly helpful. Great experience!!
Cons: The ability to get ice.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: We loved our room at Rose Cottage - it is perfectly located near to the airport and felt like a small haven on our night before leaving Ireland. The layout of the room was quite lovely and the small kitchen area was set up with food and treats to enjoy so that we could make it out for our flight. Our hosts were welcoming and helpful - we had a major issue (quite out of anyone's control) just before leaving and they went absolutely above and beyond to ensure that our morning went smoothly and we made it to the airport on time.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: It was the nicest accommodation I’ve stayed in for some time.Rose cottage was so comfy and luxurious. Everything was thought of. I would highly recommend it
10.0 Excellent
Pros: They provide you with killer TV, very modern bathroom, and the perfect breakfast to be out the door to the airport in a hurry.
Cons: Only thing I’d like is a top sheet. Might be an American thing.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Lovely room with all the amenities required. Food provided for breakfast was great. Very handy location to Dublin airport.
Cons: Nothing
10.0 Excellent
Pros: We stayed our first night in Ireland here after an evening arrival at the airport and before driving out to the west coast. It was a wonderful stay, start to finish. The rooms are so thoughtfully planned, and had everything we might've needed and more (umbrellas to borrow! makeup remover! orange juice and fresh milk in the mini-fridge!). There's a nice walking path just outside the cottage, too - we went for a long walk in the morning before we hit the road.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: A continental breakfast was provided that included coffee/tea, juice, yogurt, cereal, fruit, pastries, cheese and a variety of snacks that was great. A charming cottage on the outside revealed a luxurious and up to date room that catered to your every need and more. A wonderful bathroom with great water pressure, instant hot water and large shower with everything (shower gel, shampoo, & conditioner) you could possibly need brought this room to an excellence beyond a 10+ rating. All the details were there. We thoroughly enjoyed the room in The Rose Cottage. Plus the location was extremely good for access to Dublin airport and downtown Swords. The proprietor was wonderful, answered all our questions and was very helpful
Cons: Everything was great!
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Our check in was perfect. We arrived by cab and was able to get into our room right away. We only there one night and wished it was more. We had to leave early for the airport so kept saying we wished we could take our time and enjoy the beautiful breakfast that was there for us. Truly fantastic! Will definitely go again!
Cons: There was nothing really. A little far from everything but really that was not an issue as both of our cab drivers knew just where to go and drop us off and pick us up!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: I booked this stay as a need to stay somewhere last year (In 2017) but quickly changed my view when I saw how amazing this cottage is! My friend and I were greeted immediately and before talking Business was offered tea, coffee, or champagne. After receiving the tea, he sat down with us and outlined all the restaurants and bars in the area to try and ones to stay away from since it was a holiday. On top of the holiday there was a rugby match going on so it would have been hard to find a place to sit down and eat or have a beer. I was very satisfied with my service and given the opportunity to stay in Dublin again I would choose this in a heartbeat. Thank you rose cottage!!!
Cons: There was nothing in control of the cottage that was in satisfied with the weather is another comment.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything was gorgeous and comfortable
Cons: Wifi was a bit spotty
9.7 Excellent
Pros: Our host, Dan, exlemplified the term. This was our first day in Ireland, and we felt utterly lost. Dan reached out to us before our plane even left home, asking when he might expect us. We had an email dialog that helped us use the public transportation system to reach the B&B. He let us drop our luggage off and explore Dublin while waiting for check-in time, then showed us the best bus routes to take. In the morning, he cooked up a great Irish breakfast for us to get our day started. About the bed, we took it for granted. It was a nice, comfortable mattress, which we wished we had for the next two weeks. It seems comfortable beds are not common in Europe and the UK, so it was a real luxury to have had our first night after a full day of travel at Rose Cottage.
Cons: It is a bit outside of Dublin center, so the bus ride takes about an hour...if there is not a hurling match happening.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Wonderful room; excellent decor. The owner was very helpful in all ways and provided us recommendations that led to the most fun night of our 2-week stay in Ireland.
Cons: No complaints or suggestions.
Abbeyglen Cottage - Swords

9.8 Excellent (186 reviews)
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Bernadette and Andrew were incredibly sweet and very welcoming. They thought of everything and were very accommodating. Strongly recommend if you like that personal experience and having a place that doesn’t feel so much like a hotel. We sure did!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The hosts provide such amazing personal attention from check-in to a customized breakfast in the morning. Room was clean and comfortable. Great location, only a few minutes from the airport and close to a great pub and shopping center. Will stay here anytime we're in Dublin!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Location is very convenient for the Dublin airport and easily walkable to village of Swords. Hosts were very welcoming and gave us valuable information about the surrounding area and suggestions for restaurants and pubs. Accomodations were very nice and comfortable. Breakfast was excellent. We needed to leave prior to the usual breakfast time and the hosts agreed to serve us early. Highly recommend!!

10.0 Excellent
Pros: We were there just overnight before going to the Dublin airport the next day for a flight home Attlee 2 weeks in Ireland. The hosts were very attentive to our needs, gave us detailed directions and a map for getting to the airport. I loved that we were able to order breakfast the night before so our food was ready when we arrived in the dining area.
Cons: I can’t think of a thing...everything was very nice
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Excellent bed, hosts, breakfast, location.
Cons: Nothing
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Jimmy and Mary, the breakfast, and the grounds were wonderful! The place is adorable, but you need a car to get around (which we had). I loved the stay and would stay again :)
Cons: nothing!
7.0 Good
Pros: The owners were very friendly and helpful with directions and choosing a dinner restaurant. The location couldn't have been better for proximity to the Dublin airport.
Cons: The only downfall were the beds -- they were really, really uncomfortable. They might have been fine for children but not for adults. It was our last night in Ireland and we had to get up early to catch a flight out. I don't think either one of us slept much at all. Too bad, because the place looked lovely.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Friendly and helpful hosts! Great location of looking for something close to airport/Dublin but don’t mind not being in the city. Fantastic breakfast! Lots of extras in the room - fruit, tea, jams, butter, biscuits, etc. Cozy room.
Cons: Thought when booking the family suite it had two separate sleeping spaces. But all beds were in one room, so just something to be aware of.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Perfect if you had your own transport. The hosts we're fantastic and nothing was too much trouble.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Superb hosts
Cons: Nothing it’s was fantastic
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The owners were great! Very welcoming. Excellent breakfast. Loved our short time there. We would highly recommend staying there. Go for more than one night though!
Cons: I wish we had stayed there more than one night!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: This is a lovely property we stayed here in 2016 and would stay here again
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Staying with Mary and Jimmy is like staying with old friends. They couldn't do enough....directions, eating suggestions, Irish whiskey before bed, choice of 6 or 7 things for breakfast. If we took the bus into Dublin, they were willing to drive us to the bus rather than leave a car. How many B & B do it?
Cons: They only own this -1- B & B. Would have loved to have stayed longer or in another city with them!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything it’s super

Pros: Olive is a wonderful hostess. We were greeted warmly on arrival & taken to our room. It was comfortable and cozy in a very quiet neighborhood. The breakfast was excellent with a good selection of options. When we left for the airport we were given directions that kept us away from early morning commuter traffic & that was a welcome time saver.
Cons: No complaints but visitors should be prepared to travel to town for meals, scenery, and events. The location, however, is only a quick drive to Malahide Castle.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Extremely helpful hostess.
Cons: Bathroom was pretty tight but functional and clean.
10.0 Excellent

Pros: The location right on the beach and the quietness were the two main things we really appreciated the most.
Cons: Nothing
8.8 Excellent
Pros: The venue itself is very nice.
Cons: The staff in the bar manager was particularly rude. With the bar manager taking such an exception to being criticised for his manner by one woman that he closed the residents bar ridiculously early. If I owned the hotel I would be disgusted at a loss of income from multiple customers just because staff don't have the people skills to deal with people.

Pros: Room had lovely view to beach from one window and golf course from other. Bed was very comfortable. Service excellent.
Cons: I would have loved a pool at hotel.
6.5 Good
Pros: This resort is situated on a spectacular property with unparalleled views. Our room was nicely appointees, very clean and quiet even though there were a couple of major events. Upon arrival the person at reception was snobby and did not even offer to have our bags brought up to the room and honestly acted as if he was doing us a favor by checking us in. We had traveled from Killarney and were dressed very casually and it was apparent that we were very under-dressed--not a place to stay if you want to be casual and laid back. The staff, especially, Emma, at the restaurant where we sat for a drink, was courteous and very friendly. We ordered room service and to be frank the food was awful--cold and just not good. Beautiful spot but with room for improvement.

Pros: The room was clean, quite and comfortable. The staff were very nice (although I have seen terrible reviews about the staff elsewhere, this was not my experience). There was free parking which was a must for me .
Cons: Breakfast was at 9am. Not suitable for me as I had an early start.
2.9 Mediocre
Pros: First impressions were good but that very quickly changed when I realised the bed sheets contained somebody else’s hairs!! Sheets were not changed, room had no wall vents making sleeping very uncomfortable. Road noise high especially as property beside an extremely busy junction. Pedestrian lights were beeping all night. Accommodation management not very helpful and didn’t really care about the complaint I made the next day.
Cons: nothing, The room was modern but lack of cleaning like dust on top of high fixtures shows that the rooms never receive proper attention. Would avoid this property at all costs. Breakfast only starts at 9am!!
7.9 Good
Pros: Close to airport and had an interesting bar
Cons: It was not a Deluxe Bedroom. It was small despite the double bed and up a flight of stairs with a small bathroom. Although the staff were friendly they all go at night and don’t return until 9:00 am.

7.5 Good
Pros: The host was very kind, helpful and accommodating. She let us do a very late check-in (1 AM). Gave us good tips on getting around Dublin. Great location. close proximity to the train station. Breakfast was limited continental - bread, jam, cereal, oats, milk and tea. Nice, spacious and clean bathroom.
Cons: We were a party of 7 and felt the room was a bit crammed with 6 beds, a bunk bed and just one bathroom (one could imagine a busy morning). There was not enough space for us to open our luggage to get things out which was a bit uncomfortable. The air circulation was poor leading to sweaty nights. The room could use some standalone fans and ventilation.

9.2 Excellent
Pros: Staff where very friendly.
Cons: Room was stale smelling and fire alarm went off in the early morning
6.0 Good
Pros: Gorgeous scenery and grounds. One of the most beautiful I've seen on a hotel property. The woman who checked us in was friendly.
Cons: Our room had no temperature control, and it was way too hot. The bedside lamp didn't work. TV reception kept cutting out and resetting. Our room was right by the elevator, so we heard lots of loud conversing well into the night. The parking situation was pretty dire. Sometimes it seemed the walk to the car park was a little long. Downgraded us to a twin room because only two were traveling, even though we booked a larger room. The woman who checked us out was kind of unfriendly and short with us. Annoyed that we didn't remember our 4 digit room number at 7 am. I can barely remember my PIN.
7.9 Good
Pros: Good breakfast, good choice of food
7.9 Good
Pros: Lovely hotel, very clean, good location. We stayed here when the darts were on and there was a very good atmosphere.
Cons: There was no hot water in the morning, we rang reception & they said they’d send up maintenance but no one arrived. When we checked out we said it to the receptionist, she apologised and said there was a problem with some of the rooms, she said they would give us a room upgrade the next time we visited.
5.8 Okay
Pros: Location for the darts is excellent
Cons: 2 single beds pushed together for a double bed. When you book a double room. The beds separated when you lay on them. The queues for the hot buffet each morning was ridiculous with only 1 person serving.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Exactly what we needed, it was busy but they still looked after us very well.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Bathroom was very large, plenty of complimentary shampoo conditioners and body lotions Bed was comfortable Free bottles of water 4 biscuits with the coffee and tea, very rare you get that in hotels nowadays
Cons: TV reception was not great, channels were not HD Room was hard to find, better signage would have helped immensely
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful hotel in nice grounds. Attentive staff. Good food.
Cons: Rooms were stuffy (no AC or thermostat). Breakfast service was very slow and less friendly than other staff.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Lots of parking. The front desk lady did help us figure out how to take the train into the city but it takes about 40 minutes to get to city center (depending on exactly where you are going of course).
Cons: I didn't like that it was so far from the city center. And some kind of alarm went off briefly very early in the morning (and we had to get up early to get to the airport). Also, the bathroom fan was very noisy and stayed on for a long time even after the lights were turned off.
7.5 Good
Pros: Good selection for breakfast
Cons: Very busy, impersonal service. I was expecting a double bed in my room not 2 singles joined together.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Liked the location, friendly and helpful staff Breakfast was excellent
Cons: Nothing
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Very large hotel with lots of on-site parking - and clearly it's very busy too but despite a large queue for check in, I wasn't kept waiting for too long. My room was large, warm, and spotlessly clean. The bed was extremely comfortable and despite the busy nature of the hotel, there wasn't too much noise and I enjoyed two really good night's sleep. Facilities in the room were good - although the number of TV channels was quite limited. Breakfast was lovely, but make sure to check the guide to breakfast times as if you show up for breakfast after nine at the weekend, you will more than likely have to queue for a while before you are seated. I stayed in the Grand while on business, and found the location easy to find and very handy for commuting into Dublin and then leaving for Belfast again. A five minute stroll has you in the heart of Malahide village.
Cons: More channels on the TV and better signage in the hotel. Also the price of items in the vending machines were a little bit too high.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Staff were very helpful the first room we received was very small only double bed and not refurbished. My partner and I both over six foot. However we got an upgrade to an executive room which made our weekend so much more pleasant with great views.
Cons: Some of the rooms still need refurbished and getting to the 4 floor re executive rooms bit confusing re lifts
5.8 Okay
Pros: breakfast was ok. food quality was average.
Cons: the employment of an egg chef would be an advantage.
7.5 Good
Cons: Restaurant closed on Monday, Bar meals only
7.9 Good
Pros: Appreciated the professional and friendly staff. Good sports facilities with swimming pool. Restaurant very good.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast dining room and breakfast
Cons: Loved everything about the hotel including the area
6.7 Good
Pros: good
Cons: rooms a bit bigger way to adjust room temperature as too warm
10.0 Excellent
Pros: What a beautiful place!! If we only had more time. We were not golfers so the area around the hotel was great for a walk (weather cooperated that day). The facilities were very restful, full of rooms and couches to rest and relax if you didn't want to do so in the room. Beautiful flowers all over as well. We ate dinner in the pub area and our service was amazing. It was The Perfect place to stay at the end of our vacation. Again, we wish we had more time to see more of the city, the gardens and the castle and to take advantage of more the hotel had to offer.
Cons: Can't think of a thing!

8.2 Excellent
Pros: Hotel is very nice with the the amentities of a golf course hotel. Staff was very friendly and helpful and the room was very nice and well maintained. We had a room with two beds that were more than adequate for our needs. I think this is a good value hotel and it is convenient to the airport without being too close.
Cons: The only thing I did not like about the hotel was the entrance to the hotel. There is no good way to turn your car around to head back to the parking lot. After you get back in your car you are pointing to the back of the hotel and it is very poorly designed as there is no good way to head towards to parking lot.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Efficient helpful staff, lovely surroundings, great quiet room.
Cons: Nothing
8.0 Excellent
Pros: I liked the idea that it was removed from the hussle and bussle of the town. It was relatively quiet except for the people leaving early in the morning. I ultimately enjoyed my experience in the spa.
Cons: It was very difficult to connect with the spa to make an appointment and they seemed to not have the all the services that were advertised. I didn't appreciate that the restaurant was closed during my entire stay. When I called the hotel for the train station nearest to the hotel, I was directed to the Malahide station which would have required two transfers from Dublin. A taxi direct from Dublin, although more expensive, was a better bet.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Clean and tidy very helpful and friendly staff
Cons: Noting
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Lovely breakfast, comfortable room. Once we sorted out the problem with check-in, were able to get in early.
Cons: The cost, which I thought was quite expensive. Trouble checking in due to our booking
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Good dinner and breakfast, friendly staff.
Cons: Hard to find. No fan or airconditioning.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Peaceful and quiet area, with pool and fitness facility. Airport shuttle great. Just know shuttle not available from 1-4pm. Shuttle 5.euro.Taxi about 20.euro
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Great place to stay the last night before heading home. It is a truly Irish property, it’s absolutely lovely. Had dinner in the pub and the food was great, nice and hot. Had to have one last round of Irish fries before we left. Would certainly suggest to anyone.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: It was my second time there & I like everything. Think it’s a great place to stay.
Cons: The shuttle. Be sure & check the times it’s available or the taxi will be costly (especially if travelling alone) I wasn’t happy to discover it only started at 7am. I hadn’t realised that when planning my stop over for an early flight the following day. I had to take a taxi which bumped up the cost of the stay by 21 euro
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Comfortable rooms. Swimming pool and gym from 630 weekdays. Reasonable bar menu
Cons: Leisure centre opens at 9am at weekends and restaurant closed weekdays with only bar food available.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Food was exceptional!!! Setting was serene; Bar was so comfortable! I liked the view of the golf course from our room window. Would have loved it had I time to dip in the swimming pool.
Cons: The beds were very squeaky, and not very comfortable. Dust on lightbulbs was noticeable, and I'm not picky.

7.9 Good
Pros: We love the location of Finnstown, it’s in a quiet part of Lucan. Breakfast was beautiful and the rooms are big.
Cons: I’m not a fan of 2 single beds pushed together. The guy who checked us in didn’t really have a welcoming feel about him, and the same for the lady looking after breakfast. Other than that we really enjoyed our time there.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Location & unique style. Wonderful staff.
Cons: Bathroom sink would splash up at you when using other than that perfect
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Lovely hotel and staff were very friendly and helpful
4.2 Okay
Pros: WE BOOKED TWO DOUBLE ROOMS WITH BATHROOM BUT THE PROPERTY WAS OVERBOOKED AND WE WERE GIVEN A SUITE WITH SHARED BATHROOM BUT DISCOUNT OF 50 EUROS WHICH WE ARE STILL WAITING FOR' GYM AND STEAM ROOM AND POOL WERE OUT OF DATE AND GRUBBY AND NOT CLEAN WITH EMPTY GRUBBY NO DOOR LOCKERS AND STORAGE IN POOL AREA WE WERE GIVEN DINNER AS RECOMPENSE I WAS SHOCKED AT THIS HOTEL AND IT IS BEING REFURBISHED SO I SUGGEST UNTIL THINGS IMPROVE YOU TAKE THIS OFF YOUR SITE
Cons: WAITING FOR COMPENSATION OF 50EUROS EACH FOR INCONVENIENCE WHICH THE HOTEL SAID WOULD BE CREDITED BY YOUR WEBSITE
9.6 Excellent

Cons: Rib eye steak not the best, alot of fat & gristle
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Everything
Cons: Staff very helpful food excellent pool area very clean
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Staff were wonderful, grounds beautiful, loved the Turkish Bath. Breakfast buffet was alright, but on arrival day we had a full Irish in the restaurant - that was spectacular. Rooms lovely and the peacock greeted us very colourfully. Would absolutely go again.
Cons: There wasn't really anything we did not like. If I was pressed into saying something, maybe some cheese and salami might have been a nice addition to breakfast, but there was enough other things, so this is just to fill this review box. Changing rooms in gym were a bit in need of TLC.
6.0 Good
Pros: Old fashioned country house - spotlessly clean. Issue with with a dinner order how hard is it to make a caprese salad??
7.5 Good
Pros: Property is located outside the city of Dublin, so it is a quiet location. The facility is older but charming. The grounds are like a park and are quite beautiful.
Cons: Facility is older and if there are people staying above you, you can hear them walking.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Staff as always very helpful and attentive
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Old world charm. Being greeted on front step by friendly peacock.
Cons: It's a bit far from everything. But that's exactly what I was looking for.
