Lovely outside garden patio in which to enjoy breakfast. Breakfast was just ok. Liked the combo locks on the doors as opposed to keys.

Pros: Very well located. Bed was very comfortable.
Cons: The main focus of this establishment is the restaurant. The hotel guests seemed to be just an extra thing that the staff had to take care of. The place just needs some updating.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: This hotel right on the gorgeous main street could not have been in a better location. The room surpassed our expectations - we paid for a room but got a two bathroom suite! The furnishings matched the 'antique feel' of the entire hotel. There is a lovely dining room and the tables on the veranda were an excellent space to enjoy great food AND enjoy people watching! There is also a small pub and casino room. The staff were friendly and always eager to please - a big thank you to Devon for all his kindness! I will always remember this hotel and will recommend it to everyone planning to visit St. Andrews by the Sea.
Cons: Does not serve breakfast BUT we were told by the staff to try Lumberjacks right down the street - had the best omelette ever! No complaints or recommendations for this hotel - they are doing it RIGHT!

Pros: We stayed in the first floor room with twin beds. Very comfortable, quiet and spacious, with a beautiful newly remodeled private bath. We arrived ahead of check-in time, as a thunder and lightening storm just began. Our hosts graciously invited us in to have tea, despite the room not being ready. This beautiful historic house has been painstakingly restored, with additional projects in the planning. Conveniently close to the central business district, Minister's Island, Kingsbrae Gardens, and the amazing restaurant at Rossmount.

Pros: The cottage is newly renovated and beautifully decorated with antiques. The room was beautiful and the bed was incredibly comfortable. Most of all, though, the gentleman operating the cottage and providing breakfast was very hospitable and accommodating of our needs and was charming and filled with good humour. He makes the place very special.

Pros: Great location if you didn't mind being across the street from the very large Algonquin resort ( we didn't), charming decor, enthusiastic host.
Cons: A couple of glitches like light coming in under our bedroom doorstep night. It's a renovated home so there was ambient noise from other guests. Could have been a problem with very noisy or up late guests.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Location,tub,staff
Cons: Would of liked big chair in room
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The Cottage is an intimate space where you feel as though you are in your own home except you are taken care of by someone else. In our case it was Eleanor who was wonderfully accommodating to our every need and very helpful with recommendations for the rest of our trip.

8.0 Excellent
Pros: Close to downtown
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Was very clean. Beds were comfortable.
Cons: No hot water first day for showering, everything else was fine but we were a family of 4 and it was pretty crowded. There is no shelves, drawers, etc to store belongings to keep them out of the way. Other than that, it was good.
7.5 Good
Pros: Proximity to places, good value for money, friendly staff
Cons: No counter space in bathroom, screen door had holes, lights were dim and not many plug points, erratic wifi
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Friendly staff, comfortable room & bed
Cons: Tiny bathroom (don’t lean forward while sitting on the toilet or you’ll hit your head on the sink). Extremely tiny shower, not good for plus size people like me
7.5 Good
Pros: Tim Hortons within walking distance. Central area where you could sit out in the shade.
Cons: Taps in bathroom. Had to unplug things to use other things. Office fir ice closes at 10 and no freezer in fridge fir travel ice packs
6.8 Good
Pros: We booked the only room left which turned out to be a suite complete with dining room, full-size frig, stove, fully equipped kitchen. Too bad we were staying only one night.
Cons: The bathroom could have been cleaner.
6.8 Good
Pros: Roadside motel, older but was clean and comfortable. Front office staff was polite and efficient. Rate was probably appropriate for high season within a mile of resort town centre. But having said that we stayed at a motel in Gorham N.H. the night before and had a pool and hot tub and had it not been for exchange on the $ would have cost the same. Tim Horton's 2 min walk away which is very convenient! Standard amenities, coffee, hair dryer, wi-fi, fridge, microwave, tv etc.
7.0 Good
Pros: Ckean and tidy
Cons: Nothing much, basic motel but clean and tidy

2.5 Mediocre
Pros: All
Cons: Nothing to not like
4.5 Okay
Pros: Rustic room, nice view
Cons: Dining experience was less than acceptable! Left after 35 mins wait for breakfast. Ran out of coffee because of large group of 7 people!!
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast was free and delicious. Room was very clean. Location was terrific.
Cons: Walls seemed paper thin...wish we’d chosen a room that was bigger and higher...
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Location was perfect for me
Cons: Nothing not to like!!
5.8 Okay
Pros: It was on a very pretty lot of land. Good breakfast included.
Cons: The rooms were very old and smelled old and musty. Very dark. Bed was too soft and not good quality. Would be very noisy if the place was busy. Couch was VERY old and uncomfortable. TV wasn’t working. Not enough plugs. Sink backed up, didn’t drain properly.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Food was great, service was excellent and the location was perfect.
Cons: nothing, completely satisfied.
9.1 Excellent
Pros: Lovely setting, well maintained. Staff was great, room spacious and very comfortable.
Cons: I read earlier reviews that cited a musty or mildew smell in their room and experienced this as well
6.3 Good
Pros: View from my room . Deck with a view, location from walking to downtown
Cons: Room , musty smelling , stuffy . Needs updating for sure. Didn’t like carpet and no microwave . The cleaner removed one of my breakfast tickets on the desk and in the end I had to pay for a breakfast ! That was not appropriate. The waitress who served us was VERY inexperienced and brought tea pot with no water. Forgot to ask about details for food order and came back many times . Frustrated and wasn’t a nice experience .
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The room was very spacious and clean and beds were comfy. People working in the office were very nice and friendly. Nice looking pool that was very clean. Keurig machine in the room for coffee which was a nice touch.
Cons: Hot tub was not hot so didn't bother to get in it. Perhaps I could have asked the desk to heat it up but figured it would take too long.
5.8 Okay
Pros: Hot tub was okay but it was set too high in temperature! Being able to sit out on the deck....
Cons: Old property and needs renovations
6.5 Good
Pros: Great location, staff were friendly. This could be a fantastic property with a little TLC
Cons: We booked a "family" room, (room 105). On paper the room is amazing. The view is incredible, there is a private deck, and there is a separate room for children to sleep in. Unfortunately, the stairs to the room move a lot while you're climbing them and at the top you're forced to one side as the eaves are over the steps. The deck doesn't feel super sturdy and the railing wouldn't stop a toddler from falling. Once you enter the room the floor slopes about 2 inches and launches you into the space. The room is generous and comfortable (except for the super soft mattress). The kitschy decor is fun!

Pros: Friendly, clean, style
10.0 Excellent
Pros: We were upgraded to a king room and even though we arrived 5 mins too late for breakfast they accommodated us which was really appreciated.
Cons: It is pricey especially in off season but we decided to splurge for a night and it did not disappoint The only thing disappointing was that we would have liked the bar to have remained open past 11:00. It would have been nice to have it open until 12:00
9.3 Excellent
Pros: The hotel is a few blocks from the water atop a hill with a view of the town. It is lovely. I think the best part of our stay was our interaction with the staff. Everyone went out of their way to be friendly and helpful. And, I do love a man in a kilt and there were several!
Cons: It was honestly more expensive than I think it deserves to be given the quality. Don't get me wrong, it is nice. But it's not THAT nice! I also thought the room was a little dated. It could have used a few modernizing touches.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: It was a beautiful setting and grounds, friendly and knowledgeable staff, gorgeous little town.
Cons: I think for the price, it should have include a breakfast.
5.8 Okay
Pros: Location was great Restaurant dinner was very nice Breakfast buffet had a nice selection (not warm enough however)
Cons: Price was not as per reservation quote, extras were added without authorization. We had the bill revised so that it was $701+, (only $2 more than the original quote of $699). Shocked to see the bank’s pending charge of $885.95. We were assured that this is not the actual fee... that the hotel authorizes an extra $75 per night for incidentals but “it won’t be charged”. Since this only occurred today, I’ll await the results. Guaranteed registration at 4 pm but room was not ready until 50 minutes later. There was a pair of men’s swim shorts hanging on the bathroom door, we assume were left by the previous guest. The drinking glasses we used on day one were not changed out on day two. The ice bucket smelled sour, and had no disposable plastic bag. We didn’t use it!
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Great location.
7.5 Good
Pros: Breakfast was very good. One day we went off the menu, which was good. The rest of the time we had the buffet, which was excellent.
Cons: The staff were all very personable. There were times that waiters were not well organized.
