Pros: Super breakfast!
Cons: Tiny open bathroom... but ok considering the room is charming and not too expensive. It’s good for overnight stay.
Pros: We had a lovely time at this beautiful B&B. The owners made us feel welcome even though we do not speak French. There was a balcony off the second floor front hall and a full porch on the side of the house. Both had comfortable seating. Also, there was a patio set under a canopy on the lawn. The property was beautiful and private with mature maple and apple trees and a full manicured hedge around the perimeter. Breakfast was an elegant affair!! Toast with Crouton (pork pate), blueberry yogurt with a heart shape sprinkle of granola, apple sauce, bacon omelette, potato hash browns, juice and coffee. Our room had a view of the exquisite cathedral which was grandly lite at night. In the morning, the train passed slowly. Our hearts and prayers go out to this community for their great loss six years ago.
Pros: Perfectly located to access the new downtown area by foot
Cons: We had planned for a b&b but there was no breakfast included. It wasn’t clear when we reserved but other than that, everything was good
Pros: Great owners very nice
Cons: No air condition in our room, little stuffy at times as we had to turn of the fan in the window at night as it was to niosey
Pros: The host was full of kindness and she made one of the best breakfast ever had in in a B&B
Cons: Nothing really .
Situated by Lake Mégantic, this inn in Quebec’s Eastern Townships is just 180 metres from the local marina and beach. A restaurant and bar are featured on site. Each guest room includes a fridge. Cable TV is provided in each country-style room at Auberge Au Soleil Levant. A private bathroom is common to all rooms, as well as an in-room coffee maker and free Wi-Fi access. An à la carte menu offers breakfast, lunch and dinner options at Au Soleil Levant Auberge’s restaurant. Dining on the terrace is possible in warmer months. A billiards table is available for indoor entertainment at the on-site bar. Snowmobile trails are accessible from the inn. Mont-Mégantic National Park and Lac Mégantic Golf Club are about 25 km from this inn.
Pros: The Auberge was really nice. It's a house converted to an inn. It has a great restaurant downstairs where we had breakfast and dinner. There is a terrace so it was nice to sit outside. Staff was friendly. Room was clean. We stayed there to go Mont Megantic to view the stars. The Auberge is about 30 min away from Mont Megantic. Across the lake we also went to visit Lac Megantic (40 min away). Would definitely recommend.
Cons: All was good.
Pros: Very kind people; highly tolerant of pre-adolescent behavior!
Cons: The room was cramped for three people.
Pros: The location and the restaurant bar worked very well for our group. Food and service were also very good.
Cons: It worked well for us but rooms are accessed by exterior stairs. Very good ones but not for elderly or anyone with physical concerns or maybe small children.
Pros: Great staff and charm of the place.
Cons: Beds weren't made and no resupply of soap in the room.
Pros: We slept well. Room was quaint and clean. Great location and restaurant right below.
Pros: The friendliness of staff
Pros: Great price, comfortable bed, quiet, refrigerator a plus. Very close to the lake, nice restaurant on premises, and on our way home. Short visit meant we did not try the beach on the lake. We would stop here again when visiting Quebec City and would consider coming for more than one night. We recommend the hike up Scotch Cap for the view and exercise, but there are also walking trails near the Auberge. Entrance to rooms is via one flight of outdoor steps at the rear of the restaurant. Not at all inconvenient for us, but something others may need to be aware of.
Cons: Very minor: coffeemaker was hard to use; difficult to figure amount of water to add for the provided coffee and strange lip on pot meant that a lot spilled when poured. Do it over the sink!
Gîte Côté Lac offers accommodation by Lac Mégantic. This Bed & Breakfast has a terrace with a beautiful view on the lake, mountains and private beach. A private bathroom and lake view are included in all rooms. Guests can enjoy a complimentary breakfast in the morning. WiFi and parking are both available free of charge. There are many activities nearby such as hiking, fishing, or kayak.
Pros: Very good breakfast and beautiful location.
Pros: Super nice hosts. The location is absolutely beautiful! If I'm ever in the area again would return!
Cons: Scent-less options for soaps, etc. Would be appreciated (something that is hard 4 me at pretty much any hotel)
Pros: The property is right on the lakeside and the small town of Piopolis is less than 5 mins drive down the road - there is a decent pub type restaurant which serves good food at reasonable prices. Breakfast was Ok.
Pros: This is a fabulous, inviting B & B in a 5 star location. We were warmly greeted by Catherine and Yves and shown to our charming studio, which is at the very shore of beautiful Lac Megantic. The 88 year old home has been lovingly maintained, and made for a very comfortable stay. The included full breakfast was stupendous! We hope to return again in another season.
Cons: There was nothing I didn't like! It was perfect.
Pros: Great hosts, stunning location, wonderful breakfast. This place was the highlight of our 2 week road trip.

Pros: It was the most perfect, cozy, lovely little house you could imagine, decorated in such an interesting way. You'd suddenly see something else that caught your eye and say, Neat!
Pros: It was a delight!
Pros: The chalet was very artistic - we enjoyed the accommodations!
Cons: Nothing - all was great!
Pros: All of the small details really made this lake house great. We loved the floors and big windows . The kitchen and bathroom were like new and the bathtub was huge . The fireplace was great to sit around. Every cleaning supply and utensil you could need was stocked. The house was very clean when we arrived . The town is small and cute and sits on a huge lake . The house sat a few houses away from the lake . The host was so friendly and welcoming . We arrived at almost 10pm to find that we were locked out but the host came right there to let us in in under 10min !
Cons: We were unsure of how to keep the hot water going
When you stay at Les Victorines du Lac in Frontenac, you'll be next to a golf course and within a 5-minute drive of Lac-Megantic Tourist Office. Featured amenities include complimentary newspapers in the lobby and luggage storage. Free self parking is available onsite.
Pros: Good to be on the water
Pros: Clean rooms, quiet stting and beatiful site
Cons: The breakfast was at 7.30am. which is too late for those who need to get away early. Breakfast at 6.00am would be more appropriate.
Pros: Beautiful views, very friendly staff.
Pros: The gentleman owner who greeted us kindly and hospitably made an effort to speak English with us. The lady who served us our ample and delicious breakfast was very informative and spoke perfect English. It was a pleasure walking on the grounds as they were absolutely lovely and look onto Lac Megantic. There is a silence "curfew" from 11 pm onwards which I really appreciated. This enabled us to have a wonderful sleep. I suppose the fact that there was no TV in the room also helped with that! The wifi connection was excellent. There are other common areas (which were lovely to look at but that we didn't use) inside the main house, as well as a jacuzzi just outside it, in a secluded area. The bathroom was quite adequately equipped, with ample toiletries and good water pressure.
Cons: The room was a bit cramped : there was no place to use my yoga mat. The view was absolutely lovely. We stayed in the Melisandre room. Be prepared to remove your shoes as soon as you enter the house (slippers are provided). The bedrooms are upstairs so this could be a problem for those with mobility issues.
Pros: Spa with the view and access to the Lac Megantic.
Cons: Not having access to a refrigerator.
When you stay at Hotel Motel Le Quiet in Lac-Megantic, you'll be next to a golf course and within a 5-minute drive of Lac-Megantic Tourist Office. The front desk is staffed during limited hours. Free self parking is available onsite.
Pros: Convenient booking when traveling and looking for a last minute motel enroute.
Cons: The check-in & payment process was confusing because we arrived after 22:00 shift change. I had to go back before leaving to have payment processed. Even morning staff was confused if it had been processed or not.
Pros: Small park in front of hotel with fountain. Restaurant right next door.Close to shopping and other restaurants. Not too far to downtown
Cons: The room we had was too small.pillows were not great.hand soap in bathroom
Pros: Cozy and clean room.
Pros: Renovated, clean, quiet, attached to pretty good restaurant and next to a bakery
Pros: Extremely quiet. Had guests on both sides each of the 3 nights and we heard nothing. They were adults, no children, so that may have contributed. No noise from outside either - quality windows and doors.
Cons: Bed was a bit too soft, but it did not affect my sleep.
Pros: Meals and location excellent
Cons: Dark in bathroom. Double-size bed instead of queen-size.
Pros: Really close to Lac-Mégantic city center. You can walk to get to the lake. The owner was friendly and helped me find the spots I needed to get to. For the price it was OK.
Cons: The room has two double beds and a sofa, A portable AC unit and a small desk were in the room. but it was cramped and hard tp walk around especially during the night. The kitchen and the bathroom are shared and side by side - you have to go through the kitchen to get to the bathroom. They are in the midst of repainting.
Pros: Great location in a beautiful town.
Cons: I didn't realize that it is more of a guesthouse/hostel style accommodation, but it worked out for us as we were the only guests for the night. The property owner spoke very little English, which made communication a bit hard.
Pros: The price, clean, wifi
Cons: Sad to see the sweet beautiful dog that lives chained outside my bedroom window all night, the 2 rabbits confined in a 2x2 ft cage outside, the back yard is cluttered with junk - nothing like the pictures, bathroom is attached to the kitchen (only accessible by walking through kitchen...highly awkward given this is a shared space - so if anyone is in the kitchen when you need to use the washroom/shower it makes for a pretty uncomfortable situation).
Pros: Everything was clean, the beds were comfortable. Lots of storage available in the room, a little seating/eating area was there as well. I think the TV had no cable channels, but it was a smartTV with youtube and other services, so enough if you need to entertain yourself. The shared kitchen had everything one needs to cook. The location was very convenient with a large grocery store just meters away and the city center within 5-10 minutes walk. The mountains around Lac-Megantic are gorgeous.
Cons: Nothing to complain about :)

Pros: Great location right in front of the Lake and they let us use their kayaks which was awesome. The other facilities were great as well (pool, chairs, spa rental) and the guesthouse is pet-friendly :). Would definitely recommend for anyone (families, friends, couples).
Pros: I liked the coziness of the rooms and the proximity to the lake. The staff were lovely and very helpful!
Cons: The beds were a bit hard and even though I didn't measure the bed I can say it was a double when we booked a queen.
Pros: The restaurant on the premises was soooo gooooood!! Great food!! And it was a pleasure to go to the wine cellar and choose my bottle of wine!! First time for me!!
Cons: Seemed like the room wasn't totally prepared. Must have been closed for winter. Glass dirty-toilet wasn't working properly-had a coffee maker but no spoon to make or stir-no kleenex or napkins in the room-but the worst part was finding I don't know what in the ice bucket!! Overall looked like it hadn't been cleaned for a while. Did have a comfy bed though with clean sheets!! I know it must be better in the summertime!!
Pros: Everything was awesome- we will return this summer
Pros: The location was great and very family friendly. Dinner was fantastic! Our family loved it there!Porch area could be updated with better chairs and table but otherwise comfortable
Pros: Great view. Clean bathroom. Comfortable bed.
Cons: Bedspread and couch rather worn Rather noisy till restaurant closed at 11:00 pm.
Pros: Good size room w/equipped kitchen, located close to town and stores, off main road. Winter getaway, so minimal service and closed restaurant not a problem. 2 snowstorms but well plowed
Cons: Poor WiFi signal, weak, slow and tends to cut off. Walls not soundproof, noisy party in next room. Can see that this would be very noisy in the summer.
