Very clean, many conviences
Location in the village No availability of small bed for our baby - bed mattress making a lot of noise - long waiting time for check-out
Cozy, spacious. Parking is tight and limited
i like the place it was at only .40 min from monteral... on booking .com the price 40.00$ less i got to the hotel and i had to pay 40.00$ more ...
The room itself was quite nice. I love the uncarpeted floor. The coffee packages where never replenished by the housekeeper.
I did like the fact that there was no hot water in the shower!! They were anable to fix it quickly or to change room. They wasn't able to solve the problem but they did not propose to reduce the price...
The very good location close to the Boutiques of St. Sauveur and the choices of very good restaurants in the area. The view of the outside because the room was on the lower level which faced a cement wall.
We stayed at Hotel Le Chantecler 38 years ago and have always wanted to return during the summer because we were so impressed with it back then. We were not disappointed - everything was as we remembered it. Our room was a little too "basic" but the price was right. I found the fact that we had nowhere to put our toilettries in the bathroom (only one small shelf and no cupboard space at all) somewhat irritating. We did not have a good view from our room at all - a balcony with air conditioning units.
The design of the hotel is adapted to its surroundings...fieldstone exterior, lots of natural wood, lovely decor. Friendly staff. Just steps from village centre. The parking lot is accessible by going up a long flight of steps and can be difficult for older people. Not wheelchair friendly as there is no elevator in the part of the hotel where we stayed. This may not be the case in the other sections...
