Well located for a short walk into town along the river. Well located for a short drive to Jardin du Monet. Simple breakfast was good. Parking on site.
We would have appreciated air conditioning as staying on the very hot day in July = 42 degrees!!!
Old hotel In the middle of nowhere
Pleasant staff. Location . Breakfast
Tricky to find restaurant nearby
Location , breakfast good. Free parking always a bonus.
Wifi a bit hit and miss. No aircon so with window open was a bit noisy, as were late returning guests ( was a Saturday night before Bastille day). More info on activity in town would have been nice.
Family hotel where owners are very welcoming and helpful. Clean functional rooms, on the smaller side, but adequate, nevertheless. Good value buffet breakfast with good quality food. Small garden/green area at the rear of the hotel, adjacent to a large residents' car park. Lovely walk along a paved promenade along the Seine, starting close to the hotel and leading to Vernon old town.
Location is a little far from Vernon town centre, but taxis are good value for money and drivers are very helpful, if one is unable to walk to Vernon. Apart from the nearby supermarket, there are only two restaurants, one Chinese, one North African, open in the evening for good local ethnic food, within easy walking distance. No lift in the hotel but some rooms are on the ground floor.
With a stay at Hôtel du Haut Marais in Saint-Marcel, you'll be within a 10-minute drive of Claude Monet's Garden at Giverny and Musee de Vernon. Free self parking is available onsite.
