Stop over for just one night but enjoyed the lovely old St Pol de Leon walkabout in the evening Third bed in room was only a pull out stored under the main bed and as we knew no restaurant
Central to the town but quiet Rooms very simply furnished - although acceptable
the staff were welcoming and happy to let the dog stay also.
nice building/gqrden there was no restaurant as advertised
Parking available. Convenient to town centre and restaurants. None
Ease of access to Brittany Ferries. The hotel was OK for an overnight stop, with easy parking etc. However, I was not impressed by a ground floor room, or lift not being available for my 89 year old mother, dedspite my early booking and prior request. Also, I was not impressed by being directed to an expensive resturant when what we wanted was a light meal at the end of a long day travelling. . Getting my mother to and from the resturant made it didfficult to vote with our feet and we ended up paying nearly 200 Euro for three meals that were OK, but too fusy for my taste.
The only plus of this hotel is its location close to the town centre (and good restaurants) and the beautiful, sunny breakfast room overlooking the walled garden. Still breakfast was more expensive than on our www.booking.com confirmation email. When we pointed this out (in fluent French) it was met with a shrug of the shoulders, that it was a mistake! During our 3-day stay we had to make do with: no bedside tables, no mirrors in bedroom. Bathroom had no electric sockets, no hairdryer - thus blow drying with own travel hairdryer in bedroom without benefit of a single mirror. Bathroom had no shower curtain, no hooks to hang wet towels on. Shower head is a cheap plastic construction from which a trickle of water flowed. Water temperature varied with weather - hot on hot days and on a cold day only about 37C. Toilet paper was never refilled, nor was there a "do not disturb" sign to use on the door, which meant that the male cleaner entered room with his key while I was in the bathroom at 9h30 in the morning. No lift.
location, clean, friendly staff, value for money no
Close to Roscoff; easy access to ongoing routes; excellent breakfast Access to the hotel was difficult (due mainly to local road closures) but also inadequate signage leading into the village (and we used sat nav!); offroad parking was very close to the road and not as secure as was indicated by the website
Quiet, comfortable and clean Excellent breakfast Inadequate hot water supply in room No facilities offered for drying wet clothes
Clean. Quiet. Friendly, helpful staff. None at all.
Clean and friendly. very helpful. We stayed for 2 nights on the way to a cottage I had borrowed so we could have a relaxed look around the area , which we really enjoyed. Highly recommend the hotel , will stay again hopefully.
Very good position in town centre and very helpful English speaking staff.
The personal attention received from reception/proprietor. It was raining unexpectedly, she found us an umbrella. Such personal touches are what set aside small hotels. Children are fussy eaters. While the continental breakfast was fine for adults, it would have been useful to have some dry cereals, yoghurt or fruit for children. Only a small issue, but useful in keeping children happy.
Central position, secure parking.
in middle of town 20 min walk to sea plenty of places to eat and drink ideal for nights on and off roscoff ferry parking for motorbikes
The proprietor came out to meet us in the car park and was very helpful about all aspects of our visit. We would definitely recommend the hotel to friends and if the occasion arose we would certainly stay there again. No
Made to feel welcome on arrival.
The hotel was central close at hand for restaurants we were only staying for for the one night and catching our ferry to england next morning the room which we had was clean basic but served our purpose Nothing
Extremely pleasant welcome, clenaliness and comfort of rooms, excellent breakfast. Nothing
Close to train station, and a few minutes to city center
Helpful and friendly staff. Good food served efficiently. No adequate parking facilities.
just a stayover on route home
Having WFI connextion free of charge was very good. Bar prices were reasonable, Room needed updated carpet very shabby, but clean.
Very convenient for the ferry port. Good food in the restaurant. Breakfast very disappointing for 6 euros - advertised cereals, yogurts etc but were only provided with bread and a croissant. Had family room - decor quite tired very basic facilities and overlooked back yard. Tried to make changes to booking with a member of staff at reception but they had not been communicated to the other staff. Weren't made aware that there was a code for the car park.Ok for an overnight stay but wouldn't like to have stayed longer.
nice staff helpful
Friendly staff, good meals. Bed fell apart one night, was not repaired next morning, just simply propped back up on broken leg. TV stations limited to 3 and had terrible reception.
Overall good . food very good Room o k but lacking power points No mirrors in room. Bedside lamp not working were not informed that the restaurant would be closed on the evening of arrival
Quaint hotel, typically French, and quiet despite being woken up by the camel in the field opposite at 6.15am (from the travelling circus!).
Acceptable value for money. No lift (four floors), room a bit small, horribly looking parking place.
location is excellent,in the middle of roscoff which due to its proximity to the port is overlooked by many tourists Small lift
the sea view room was great, if a little dated in furnishings. The breakfast was nicely presented and constantly maintained by a man who obviously cared about his guests. some updated furnishings in the rooms would add value
bathroom and room was spacious and clean.Kettle provided. No cups or spoons provided with kettle. Expensive breakfast at €12 per person, with a rude waiter and cold food.
great location and excellent restaurant
the view from the bedroom is fantastic, we stayed over night for the ferry in the morning you should have more staff at reception/bar.. we waited 30 minutes for the poor girl to do a booking on the phone, and register a customer then came briefly to serve us a drink and had to immediately disappear to answer the phone again so we gave up....
Incredible location by the beach with quitet and nice views. I am considering coming again next year. Nothing
Great location in the middle of the town. Convenient secure parking.
Location was excellent, right in the centre of the town and close to all amenities. For persons with mobility issues, the entrance involves climbing three steps. There did not appear to be disabled access. Also, the lift was a little cramped.
very nice large accommodation close to ferry port no room service or food available after 9pm even for 3 year old little girl!!!!
Very helpful, bi-lingual staff. Pleasant surroundings with fine views. Good sized rooms with spacious bathroom and powerful shower(gets plus points). Generous buffet breakfast available from very early to late morning. Free parking right outside hotel. Tea/coffee making facilities in the room would have been a bonus, but is available from hotel staff 24hrs.
Reasonable value for money Bit cramped, breakfast expensive for what appeared to be on offer
From what we had read on the internet review, we expected the Ibis to be more conveniently situated to the Ferry Terminal.
Friendly, comfortable, good bathroom, comfortable beds with duvets, wifi which works !
Nice and clean standard Ibis furnishings.Good location for the Brittany Ferry to Plymouth and close to nice restaurant.Free parking and friendly staff.
Friendly, helpful staff. Beautiful location.
Friedly, English speaking receptions staff with good local knowledge Very clean dining area with attentive staff Fresh well prepared food
sea view breakfast
Central location Reception staff could have been more helpful and pleasant
On checking in, the hotel staff did not have a reservation in my name, (a worrying few minutes!)somehow they had it in my companion's name.
Room was small
Service and staff were excellent nothing seemed too much trouble. All other points regarding the hotel were good.
The warm welcome, clean and comfortable room, excellent breakfast, professional but informal atmosphere, helpful attitude
The Staff were very helpful and spoke fluent english, our room was confortable, situated in a very quiret area, very close to free parking, a few hundred yards from the attractive town centre. Breakfast was wonderful and free WiFI
Nice hotel to stay, when arriving late with the boat from Plymouth. Good value for money.
The staff were very helpful and pleasant. I even broke a pot of flowers accidentally and they didn't mind! The food in the restaurant was good and our room was very comfortable. The shower wasn't attached to the wall which was a bit of a nuisance.
Close to the centre of Roscoff. Easy access to car park. Quiet location. None
Hotel was close to town. Staff whom I took to be the owners were not friendly or helpful and certainly did not make us feel at all welcome.
Hotel staff very pleasant and foyer pleasant. Room basic but very clean and comfy. Lovely open fire in the dining area. Breakfast adequate. Ideal for a stop over, all restuarants and bars within easy walking distance. Will use again
the owners are were very friendly and helpful
Lovely feel to hotel. Great position.friendly staff Bathroom very small Wall/door to next room blocked no sound at all. Good job baby next door was only woken when I coughed myself awake in the morning after a good night's sleep
Very welcoming, friendly hotel. The room was immaculate with a lovely view of the coast
Very helpful staff, nothing to much trouble, clean and bright, good breakfast, superb view.
Staff very pleasant and helpful. Good Continental breakfast. Comfortable bed and very clean bathroom. Nice view over the bay.
The staff were charming, helpful and welcoming. The breakfast was delicious. The bed was nice and firm. The hotel was very clean.
handy for the town and the early morning ferry to Plymouth parking was not ideal, but, that's life...
We have stayed many times in this hotel. it's location is ideal for the ferry port. The owner is very welcoming. It is extremely clean, well designed and good value for money.
The rooms are clean and fairly basic, but the views and location are beautiful. The hotel staff are really friendly and exceptionally helpful.
The location, the welcome, the breakfasts and the attentive and friendly staff. nothing
What was needed for an overnight stay as Roscoff is a ferry port. Good facilities. No.
view, access to swimming pools. unhelpful staff. bar closed at 10.00 before sunset out of the large viewing windows!!! additional to booked room rate, we were charged for sea view and breakfast without asking (extra 40eur), so got it refunded. parking and drop off of baggage not easy and not helped by staff.
We only stayed the one night so unfortunately didn't experience the facilities available so can only answer this on the room. My biggest hate on staying in hotel rooms is a bathrom which hasn't been cleaned properly. The bathroom in our room was extremely clean, fresh and modern. Love the shower. Parking
The food was good and the hotels stuation excellent, right on the beach. No veggie options on the menu. Cleanliness in the room could have been better, there was broken glass on the balcony and a suspicious puddle in the toilet!
the spa facilities. room service limited
Had an excellent stay. Staff very very helpful. We arrived early and they gave us our room. Did not like the fact that those using the Spa came to the breakfast room in bathrobes.
The fantastic spa facilities, the closeness to the sea, the tasty and healthy breakfast and the friendly staff. That the healthy diet set menu was not available to customers not on a specific spa package. I would have been happy to pay the cost, but was told it was not available other than to guests on the 'diet spa package'.
The location, right on the beach was great. The view from our sea view room was fantastic. and the pool was good but you have to wear a swimming hat! The room was clean and comfy, great shower, the only down side was no tea or coffee facilities in the room. The bar/shop did serve coffee but only the little plastic pots of milk, which was a shame for such a nice hotel! We would return though.
Close to the Beach - Excellent Bathroom facilities rooms a little small.
The location and the wonderful swimming facilities although it would be nice to be told in advance that swimming hats were required in the pool instead of being shouted at when one arrived without one! Nothing.
Very pleasant and helpfull staff, good location, clean well kept hotel. It was also very convenient to have a restaurant in the hotel and the food was good. no tea or coffee making facilities in the rooms
It had a good location in the centre of town, hotel room was very clean with nice decor
nothing again nothing
Good quality basic accommodation. Minimalist and good value Rooms above bar and restaurant could be noisy
Central location, reasonable sized room, nice bathroom, comfortable bed No lift - we were on the second floor, a bit noisy late evening
Very helpful and hospitable staff Restaurant too expensive
The food in the restaurant is superb and the service is second to none- not to be missed!
excellent meals,good location
The ambiance and the efficientstaff.
Basic hotel in nice quiet location. Good for a room for the night Check out.No staff available
Convenient for Brittany Ferries, will use again Too many English !
Very quiet Bath was cracked and shower curtain was missing
Pleasant staff. Clean facilities Blankets instead of duvet. Toilet seat in poor condition. No tea or coffee making facilities.
Very close to the center of Roscoff
Hotel is in walkable distance to town and has parking facilities, it is also near to the ferry port so is very convenient. It is also clean and the staff are helpful. The price was also very good. We have stayed twice now and would stay again if the price is right. no complaints.
Convenient for ferry port & cafe/restaurants in Roscoff. Rooms were clean and all facilities worked properly.
Quiet location, but easy walking distance of town centre and sea front. Very good value for money. Warm welcome (in English) and good service. Clean, and bed was comfortable. Bathroom could do with a complete makeover and the toilet seat needs to be replaced immediately! However, both room and bathroom were clean and warm, if a little small.
very efficient reception staff quick check in/out spoke english no tea/coffee making facilities in room
Fantastic location right beside the fishing boats on the coast. Friendly family run with excellent restaurant. Also has small shop attached selling local produce.
Location was fantastic and staff very helpful. Room was lovely, clean and spacious and good value for money for a family of 4.
the location was fine and the room was adequate for the cheap price with good bathroom facilities Staff were poor with nothing available to eat upon arrival at 2pm other than a suggestion to go to the shop next door. Dinner unavailable as a large party was booked. Terrible soundproofing in bedrooms.Awoken many times in the night by arguing guests(presumably from the dinner party)with no intervention from staff.(over 4 hours in duration.)
Very pleasant stay, lovely harbour to view, The hotel staff was very nice and tolerant of our lack of the French language. No complaints, all very nice for a short stay.
It was a convenient and beautiful location The rooms were very small and difficult to access - behind a door which you had to shut in the bar before going up the stairs. The dinner was OK but expensive for what it was. The staff were rather offhand.
The room was fantastic overlooking the mini-harbour/inlet, with the real sounds of the sea coming in through the massive fully opening window! None.
We received a very warm welcome and we were well looked after during our stay. The hotel and bedrooms are smart, clean and modern. Breakfast was excellent and relaxed. The hotel is centrally located within walking distance of the beach. Godd value for money and an ideal choice for those wanting comfortable accommodation combined with a a warm, friendly service. More wardrobe/hanging space would have been a bonus.
Owners friendly, room clean nice view adjacient to bus and rail services. would stay there again Visa card would not work in their machine and worked every where else in Rosscof and on the ferry
Clean and reasonably comfortable Very little information provided on check-in. Staff somewhat surly
Classes itself as 3 star. Should be 1 star. The lift can take only a single person at a time. Very tired hotel.
Helpful staff, easy parking, good breakfast, reasonable room. Lift was very small.
the welcome and the convenience of the hotel for forward journeys and the return to Plymouth The rooms could have few more conveniences such has proper toilet roll holders, and perhaps coffee/tea making facilities.
The hotel was quiet and well situated for the Roscoff ferry. The manager pleasant and helpful. We only stayed one night so as to be in Roscoff for the early ferry so I can't comment on breakfast. The room was comfortable enough and excellent value for money. This is a good hotel for an overnight stay, but not one for a holiday. No - it was good for one night.
Looked around Roscoff before boarding the ferry the next day.
Excellent location from ferry port, good parking, friendly staff, rooms clean. No rooms available for families of 5, 3 of us had to share a bed - nightmare!
Very cheerful and helpful, he did not speak any english and our french is very limited but between us we managed to communicate. All our needs were met with no problems. Hotel clean and traditional - could do with some modernising but I would think the cost would be prohibitive. Lift, very small, only suitable for one adult and one child in standing position (Not suitable for wheelchairs)Hotel well signposted, directions given from website were very good. Slight musty smell in room, but we accepted this as it is an older property with rooms at a budget price.
It was so quiet and we only saw 1 member of staff, almost eerily quiet for such a big hotel!! Also disappointed that we had no tea/coffee facilities.
Convenience to port and town of Roscoff. Friendly and helpful staff. Good reasonably priced breakfast. Disabled husband found great difficulty in going up and down stairs. He would have been greatly assisted in better positioned banister rails
the fact that it was easy to get too was greated by person who didnt speak a word of english - very awkward but not really a complaint. the room was a double room but was two beds pushed together.
Helpful, accomodating and fun staff in this hotel. The hotel spreads into adjoining buildings some of which are 400 years old and very interesting. The restaurant at the front of the hotel is excellent, particularly for seafood.
Its central location was probably its best feature for us. The restaurant looked excellent but we didn't try it. The owner was friendly. It was only by chance that we found the out-of-the-way note by a phone, telling us to ring for breakfast - which was served in the restaurant and not in the room where the note & phone were; so, a bit confusing! (Restaurant locked up when we first went looking.)
This hotel was in a execellent location and the town was a great find. We were two couples and loved our stay. Staff were very friendly and we found car parking behind the hotel. Good location for leaving on the ferry.
The location was very central and convenient with street parking right across from the hotel. Quite good I really did not expect any one to charge me 3 Euros for a cup of hot water so that I could male my own cup of tea. No good....
