Pros: Total experience from arrival to departure...perfect experience
Pros: Fantastic place, fantastic food, fantastic rooms, the service top and the staff/owners very nice and helpful. Value for money, a place to come back to. Thank you so much for this great experience.
Pros: Le Domaine de Dony is beautifully furnished from one local shop. We had booked our room, and on arriving were offered a different room if we wanted it. Both rooms were very different so it was a difficult choice, but eventually we selected the one with both a bath and a shower. Our hosts were very accommodating. Their restaurant was closed but a meal was cooked just for us, as we were the only guests that night. The food was different, and tasty. The mushroom soup with nuts and caramel crunch, has to be tasted to be believed. Very talented chef. The room was extremely clean and the bed was one of the most comfortable we had slept in. Highly recommend.
Cons: We could not fault the place or our hosts. There was nothing that we didn't like.
Pros: Beautiful view from window to the horizon. The legacy of the early 19th century in the style of a modern boutique-hotel. Up-to-date design of rooms. Perfectly equipped room with everything you need. Nice outdoor water-pool. Lovely Hostess and staff.
Pros: Le Domaine Du Dony has a wonderful ambience, the attention to detail is outstanding. A last minute find within 20 minutes of the airport was a highlight in our holiday.
When you stay at Le Jardin Ombrage in Saint-Paul-dʼIzeaux, you'll be 7 minutes by car from Col de Parmenie. Free self parking is available onsite.
Pros: It's a beautiful appartment, very kind and helpfull staff and they really did their best to make us feel welcome and comfortable! We have only stayed for one night passing through but you can definately stay longer and enjoy the garden and swimming pont.
Pros: Fantastic place set in a fantastic location. The owners made us feel really welcome and couldn't do enough for us. We parked our two motorcycles in their garage. The room we had was new, fresh and modern. Very clean with comfortable beds. Great value, would definitely recommend
Cons: There wasn't anything I didn't like.
Pros: Very modern and clean , bedroom superb with excellent facilities. Location beautiful in the French countryside.
Pros: It was a really good place for family with 3 kids. Kids sleep upstairs on single beds and parents have one double bed. There are also a big garden with trampoline and whirlpool. A breakfast in the morning was served outside which was very pleasant and nice experience.
Cons: We didn't like access to the apartment through owner's living room so we didn't have direct access outside which was quite inconvenient. I would also appreciate if there is a key to lock the apartment from inside.
Pros: Close to airport, cooking facilities and very convenient location

Pros: Very helpful landlord
Pros: Great location for Grenoble airport , friendly staff lovely breakfast
Pros: Very comfortable and exceptional value for money. I needed a place to stay after a long drive near Grenoble airport and this was pretty ideal.
Cons: A later checkout and earlier check in would be good.
Pros: The owners were very helpful but didn’t speak English so used a translator.
Cons: The owners were lovely but went out during the day so no one around. It would have been nice to have refreshments available in the room as we had no car we stayed in site and had nothing to drink. The pool was lovely although under a cover like a greenhouse. The place is very remote a car is essential but as we had to stay there for a wedding ended up using cabs for eating out which was very expensive. The taxi driver was lovely and always on time and recommended where to eat. Again no English but used her phone to translate!
With a stay at Golf Hotel Grenoble Charmeil in Saint-Quentin-sur-Isere, you'll be next to a golf course, within a 15-minute drive of Chartreuse National Park and Plage de l'Eyrard. Featured amenities include a business center, a 24-hour front desk, and luggage storage. This hotel has 4 meeting rooms available for events. Free self parking is available onsite.
Pros: Very quiet and great location.
Cons: Between the bar staff and the reception staff they didn't seem to know who was in charge of the pool (got sorted in the end though)
Cons: Restaurant food is average. The worst part is the overall flys on breakfast food. And the when dinner arrived. I don't expect to return to stay the next time I work in saint Quinten, France.
Pros: Excellent golf hotel located in a fascinating landscape, with a nice pool area, good breakfast and a well-run restaurant. Very professional, considerate and helpful staff.
Pros: I am not a golfer and I just wanted an inexpensive hotel for an overnight stay. It's quite remote and very quiet but was perfect for me.
Cons: You have to eat in the restaurant unless you want to drive. The food was OK but the ambience was a little soulless.
Pros: Swimming pool was super! Excelent stuff, good restaurant, big parking, silent and calm neighbourhood
Cons: Small choice of food at breakfast bufet
Chez Giancarlo&Pepita is a bed and breakfast located in Saint-Siméon-de-Bressieux and features a seasonal outdoor swimming pool. Among the various facilities are barbecue facilities and a garden. Free WiFi is included. The room has a wardrobe, a flat-screen TV and a private bathroom. A continental breakfast is available each morning at Chez Giancarlo&Pepita. The property offers a terrace. Grenoble is 40 km from Chez Giancarlo&Pepita, while Villard-de-Lans is 37 km from the property. Grenoble - Isère Airport is 7 km away.
Pros: Close to the airport, WiFi good and owner tried to be hospitable
Cons: Wasn’t what we expected at all... we thought this was a small hotel or Gite... this is someone’s house and your given a room there. It’s clearly a B&B and it’s not well represented this way on the Booking.com web site. The website is not representative at all and the breakfast is tea and a helping of croissants. Again not what we expected. The rooms are dated and I don’t recommend staying here.
Pros: The generosity of Giancarlo. The nearest restaurant is over 4 miles (6km) away, and he volunteered to drive us there. He also asked the restaurant staff to ring him when we had finished eating so that he could drive us back. I offered to reimburse him for the trips, but he refused.
Cons: The pillows were too soft and there was only one per person. The place was difficult to find until we used Google maps.
Pros: We got a last minute booking due to missed flights. Gianluca and pepita were very friendly and drove us to the nearest restaurant when stuck for dinner. They have a lovely dog called ECCO! Thanks again and would recommend this gite to anyway looking for a quiet getaway in the country side with easy access to the airport.
With a stay at Le Malatras in Tullins, you'll be within a 10-minute drive of Col de Parmenie and Le Grand Sechoir - Maison du Pays de la Noix. Free self parking is available onsite.
Pros: What a lovely hotel. Spotlessly clean, friendly welcoming staff, lovely view of the mountains. The bed was extremely comfy with lovely bedding. A lot of attention to detail.... would highly recommend.
Cons: Absolutely nothing
Pros: Fast WiFi. No issues with late check-in. Fresh bread for breakfast and good selection of tea (but that's all good about breakfast). Comfortable bed, though sleep was ruined because of industrial noise.
Cons: Room window is facing towards the roof of the kitchen with external compressor/pump which is making terrible noise. If for some tecnical reason this unit could not be relocated it should be covered with some noise-protecting cowling. Bathroom is clean, but equipment is outdated. Breakfast is poor. Surprisingly no cheese (in France!)
Pros: Very good value, left to early to have breakfast so cant comment on this
Pros: Excellent restaurant and wonderful way the hotel had been spuced to build around the old structure
Pros: Pretty rural place, in a very beautiful area. Not expensive, ample (free) parking. Big bed.
Cons: No WiFi in the room. Bit of a funky, rustic old smell to the place as well.
With a stay at Le Pont de Champ in Beaucroissant, you'll be within a 15-minute drive of Chartreuse National Park and Chartreuse Cellars. The front desk is staffed during limited hours. Free self parking is available onsite.
Pros: The personnel was kind and available. We asked a quiet room not facing the road and we got a room under the roof with air conditioning. We enjoyed the restaurant, which was cozy, and had the possibility to dine inside or outside.
Cons: Unfortunately, there was no elevator and for us was too close to a main road. Of course this could be an advantage if one travels for business.
Pros: The staff were pleasant and helpful and the situation is very convenient for a stop on our journey.
Cons: - There was a pervasive “drains” smell in our room and in the restaurant area. - after only a few drinks they ran out of beer - a limited choice on the menu and very average quality. They need to do better
Pros: Great place to stay on the way south. dinner and Breakfast excellent. We had an early start and the owner had Breakfast ready on time.
Pros: Views Price
Cons: Noise from the road Noise in corridor. Smell of drains near the restaurant Breakfast limited
Pros: Diner and breakfast were good
Cons: The bed was too soft and the pillows too hard. No aircon in summer the night was quite hot.
Take a breath of fresh air at the Novotel Grenoble Nord Voreppe hotel. Nestled in an open expanse at the foot of the mountains, this comfortable hotel is perfect for both business meetings and family getaways. Seven reception rooms are available for your lively meetings or private functions. A wealth of activities including table tennis, volleyball, an outdoor pool in summer, pétanque and more are sure to entertain young and old alike. In summer or winter, enjoy the charms of the mountains at Novotel.
Pros: Big enough for family of 2 + 2 everyone could sleep in its own bed. Mind you this is for our one night stay on the way to French Alps If staying longer I would choose different rooms .
Pros: Large comfortable room with great views. Excellent resteraunt, great menu, great food inc the breakfast.
Pros: Nice, Plush, modern hotel. Good size rooms with air con, coffee making and fridge. Nice bar and relaxing seating area. English speaking staff. The Manageress was exceptionally helpful. Restaurant had good food.
Cons: Restaurant service was absolutely terrible, with side dishes arriving after we had eaten. Staff forgot about bread and water for our table, but it did arrive as we were leaving. Drinks arrived half way through our meal, despite ordering them as soon as we sat down. The Pool was closed despite being 32 degrees and sunny. The pool apparently closes 1st September.
Pros: Its clean,nice, nice location
Cons: A bit dated, nothing dramatic
Ibis budget, the smart accommodation choice! Choose to stay in an inviting, modern room when on your travels. Each room is designed to accommodate 1, 2 or 3 people (depending on the country) and has a shower, toilet and satellite TV - all for an affordable price. Kick start your day with a delicious breakfast for a price that won't break the bank!
Pros: Excellent facilities for family
Pros: Ease of access. Very straightforward to check in late
Pros: On an industrial park with little nearby of interest. There is a chain restaurant/fast food place a few minutes drive away and there is a discount voucher in the room (we didn’t go though). There is a handy microwave in reception if you bring your own food, although no kettle.
Cons: Car park fills up quickly and can be a little tight.
Pros: The quietness
Cons: No restaurants near by
Pros: Location is ideal for an overnight stay when crossing the country. Still it is next to the motorway but also next to traditional scenic villages one can dine and shop.
Cons: We can't really fault anything as it is indeed a budget hotel.
Pros: Breakfast was very simple but not that bad. The Staff was very nice. It was the only good thing about it. It surprised me that this Hotel is an IBIS. The rest was horrible.
Cons: The Hotel is old and smells weird. The Room was dirty and the beds were horribly hard. It also didn't have nets on the windows but as it was hot, we've had to leave it open, so bugs came inside. Very bad experience.
Located in Izeaux, just a 35-minute car journey from Grenoble, La Croisée des Chemins offers accommodation in a renovated farm set in a 6000 m2 park. It offers an outdoor swimming pool, free bikes, a children’s playground and free Wi-Fi. Accommodation features a private bathroom with shower. With its terrace, the chalet offers a living room with sleeping area on a mezzanine and a bathroom with shower. There is a fully equipped kitchen with microwave, stove and oven. Restaurants are located 250 metres away. Local activities include hiking, skiing, horse riding, cycling, medieval fetes and museums. The Chartreuse Distillery is located 15 km away. Free private parking is possible on site, Lyon can be reached in 1 hour by car and Grenoble Train Station is 42 km away. A shuttle service and long-term parking can be arranged at an extra cost.
Pros: Just right really
Cons: Some local information pack and WiFi code and instructions on how shower cooker and things work. But not having this in side did not spoil anything but would have been nice
Pros: Reasonably warm welcome, although because we had been in the mountains and not responded to an earlier email sent by the host regarding our stay, there was a little disruption at the start. I think the host likes to double confirm arrival, even when you have a confirmed booking and have paid the deposit request on booking. Great little village, with a nice selection of amenities.
Cons: I dislike writing poor reviews; however, we were very disappointed with this accommodation. Firstly, the accommodation is not really a chalet more like a simple wooden structure in the garden. The accommodation itself would have been fine for the evening; however, the equipment (for a small family) was seriously lacking. Broken, cracked and chipped crockery and chairs. Limited pots and pans, etc., meant we had to disturb the host on several occasions in order to be able to cook a reasonably easy meal. The mezzanine floor consisted of three single mattresses on the floor. The master bed was comfy enough, but the two small cushions instead of pillows is poor, especially given the cost of the accommodation. Before we could eat a meal, we had to reorganise the living/dining/sleeping space to accommodate the fold out table and chairs; again, the chairs were a little unstable given the state of repair. Moving heavy wooden stairs out of the way in order to have dinner was quite frustrating, especially given the serious lack of space available. Lastly, the accommodation has no facilities for card payment, although no prior notice was given. In order to pay our bill, we had to complete a funds transfer which carried additional charges. Alas, we are unlikely to visit again.
Pros: Great facilities for the kids with a lovely pool, trampoline, table tennis, volleyball etc. Quiet neighbourhood.
Cons: Difficult kitchen to cook in, no extras provided (salt, pepper, olive oil etc). Sofa bed in living room not ideal but the bedroom was quite comfortable.

Featured amenities include complimentary newspapers in the lobby and an elevator. Planning an event in Voreppe? This hotel has facilities measuring 538 square feet (50 square meters), including a meeting room. Free self parking is available onsite.
Pros: Location was perfect along the highway. Very convenient check in with the machine.
Cons: There were carpets everywhere even on walls n full of dust. People with allergies should avoid this hotel. The furniture was like decades old n broken from corners.
Pros: Very accessible to the highway and restaurants. Affordable.
Cons: Sink and wc were leaking. No air-conditioning I have been asking for the left items in the hotel and after a week of waiting, there has been no response. I already asked twice.
Pros: Breakfast, key service and parking.
Cons: Room to hot, no airco, so you have to open the window. That does not help too much and gives noise from the highway.
Pros: no nonsense hotel with spacious room, clean, quiet, good bed. super easy to check in at any hour.
Cons: I wasn't able to login to the wifi. ( and as I arrived late there was no reception to help me sort it out)
Pros: Convenient location and friendly check-in

Pros: Meal was excellent
Pros: I contacted the hotel to advise them I was running 2 hours late.......therefore the restaurant would be closed. A meal was specially prepared for me.......this was beyond the call of duty. Exceptionally attentive and helpful staff.....and more so after 212 miles having been cycled in some atrocious weather and high winds. Brilliant!
Pros: Staff were very helpful, the restaurant/bar was very good for our evening meal, food was of decent quality, a fair price, well presented and service was good. A lot we didn’t like but it was cheap.
Cons: Oh, dear, what can I say about the room! Very small, dark, did not smell very nice, bathroom inadequate, again did not smell nice. We had a ground floor room and could hear every footstep/noise from room above. Washing (socks/underwear) draped out of windows whilst not the hotel’s fault but that of other guests it was definitely unappealing! Car park and corridors abused with rubbish everywhere. It seemed to be a ‘workers’ hotel/hostel rather than for overnight travellers, groups of young men hanging around in the car park shouting, loud laughing but obviously not using hotel facilities. Would like to have had cctv in car park as did not feel particularly safe although there is a barrier that closes at 10pm.
Cons: Room lighting was very poor
Pros: If you drive a little, there are beautiful mountains
Cons: It is in a industrial area with not many places for food or things to do. Rooms are very small.
Pros: The location , staff and reception facilities were very good
Cons: The room was stuffy and a strong smell of carpet cleaner but It was a hot day and the room was closed up completely. The mattress was a covered sponge block, not the most comfortable

Pros: The photos shown on website was certainly not as it is today. Very tired and cleanliness not very good. Toilet in bathroom certainly needed the limescale removed as was complete brown looking in the pan: Restaurant food limited and omelette ordered cook in oil!! The cost was one of the more expensive we had stayed in throughout our travels in France and certainly was not worth it. We left early by 7 am as we felt that was long enough to stay there. Didn’t feel it warranted the price.
Cons: Photos not true as to state of building. Cleanliness very poor. Would have to be desperate for a place to stay to stay here. In fact don’t think would consider campanile again. Have stayed ibis budget hotel and it was excellent.
Pros: It was what we needed at the time so it met its purpose and especially for the price.
Pros: The staff were helpful and friendly
Cons: Bed must have been fifty years old, it collapsed into the centre and you could feel every spring. This particular Campanile is un refurbished, still has the 80s lino on the floor, paint peeling on the exterior, generally needs attention. The restaurant buffet was way below the usual Campanile standard and the restaurant had run out of both red and white wine, bizarrely for France.
Pros: Staff were helpful
Cons: The poor condition of the buildings and rooms.
Cons: We booked a double room but could only have a twin room. no real problem but disappointing. Also we were charged more for our evening meal than the menu said...…. We booked breakfast included but the staff didn't seem to know about this till we pointed it out and then that was fine.
With a stay at Premiere Classe Grenoble Nord - Moirans in Moirans, you'll be a 3-minute drive from Chartreuse National Park and 8 minutes from Chartreuse Cellars. Featured amenities include complimentary newspapers in the lobby and multilingual staff. Free self parking is available onsite.
Pros: There was a nice restaurant near. The Alps are beautiful around the city.
Pros: Good quality-price.
Cons: We needed individual beds and they gave us doubles. A machines gives you the keys and it's impossible to change rooms.
Pros: The sorted out our booking and found us a room
Cons: Couldn't find our booking when we arrived
Pros: Avoid at all costs. Very cheap. Good to crash alone for the night but not for a two person stay. Pre Fabricated junk, no air conditioning or even a fan, the staff entered the room 2 times before check out time leaving the door open! The photos are deceiving!
Pros: Nothing. Dirty, no food, mean staff
Pros: Helpful receptionist
Cons: Room not cleaned ,Had to change room , due to leftovers from the previous guests
Cons: Dirty, smelly, cramp room!
Cons: small room and very dirty
Pros: After a long journey, it was easy to find as it was near the motorway exit.
Cons: Due to it not being staffed at night, there was a lot of noise from a group of children. The person from the hotel opposite had little power to kep them quiet.
Pros: This is really basic, but in fairness, clean, compact (very) and ideal for the purpose we had. Good location for Grenoble airport, and choice of a pizzeria or Camponile restaurant next door.
Pros: Good price, easy to find, could fit 3 in a room.
Cons: A bit noisy, the walkways cause some noise when people walk past outside.
Pros: the frienly staff .
Cons: the outside of the building is very dingy, with some broken outside roomdoors , so you get feelings you are in a poor and dangerous part from the city.
Pros: Toilets were clean
Cons: Main lobby was dirty and also outside of the room was dirty-
Pros: to to get a bed near the wintersport
Pros: It was cheap
Cons: It attracts a poor quality of guest. Many were very noisy during the night.
Pros: Staff were helpful and approachable
Cons: Unfortunately, the rooms were very very cold. The heater in one room did not work, the staff changed this but the heater was not powerful enough to keep either of the two rooms warm.
