Nice location.

The hotel was quite old fashioned, the staff didn’t tell us the breakfast hours or any other information, we were kind of lost. The hotel is not like others with 4 stars, it did not have any facilities at all.

The cost it’s good in comparison with another hotels.

Facilities almost zero, it’s look like we were the unique individual on the hotel, A/C very old, TV never works, old bed, old bathroom definitely it’s not what we saw on booking pics.

Was a stylish hotel which would have been wonderful in it's time. Curtins needed a clean, carpet thread bare. Has a great charm but looks unloved.

Heating was not warm enough. Only one blanket for two people in twin beds.

Not very clean, unfriendly staff

The hotle needs massive renovation, carpets, furniture, walls, etc. The only good thing is its location.

It was old, tired and dated. There is also a night club at the back of the hotel which had extremely loud music until 6 am.

Location, fantastic! Room, bathroom, towels and sheets were all very clean. Our room was very quiet, what was nice.

This is the saddest hotel I've never been in! A 4-star hotel... no way! It looks more like a motel or a pension, no a 4 star hotel. It was cheap, so i should have imagined,... It looks nice in the outside, but old, dated, sad and really bad in the inside. All carpets were worn and threadbare, cracks in almost every wall, peeling paint in some walls, awful decoration (to say the least) toilet did not flush, air-con worked... well, sometimes,... and on and on. I had a very sore neck because of the pillows, so flat and full of balls, with no shape at all. They changed them, but it was the same. We did not have breakfast at the hotel. I didn't want to take any risk eating in there. Staff was helpful, but unfriendly and cold. When we open the bedroom's door for the first time, the smell was strong and disgusting. It smelled like burnt hair. The awful odor came from everywhere. We fully opened the windows and after sometime it was gone.

The location. It was close to everything, right at the centre.

The hotel was really old, doors were squeaky, mattress was uncomfortable, aircon didn't work properly.

Location was excellent. Building looks very nice from outside. Stuff was polite.

Refrigerator was in the room, but it was not working. TV was outdated, had only few channels. Room was a bit smaller then expected. Bath was also not very good. Room looked old in overall. From outside, hotel looks very nice, and also the hallways, but rooms are far from being a 4 star hotel. This hotel probably deserved 4 star ranking long time ago, but now it simply does not. It needs to be renovated.

The refrigerator didn't work. There was no shower. There was no soap in the dispenser. The receptionist didn't tell me what the wi-fi password was. It was hot and I couldn't get the air conditioning to work.

Location, that's it really, everything else is sub standard worthy of a single star

Run down hotel. Shame because you can see it lacks the maintenance. It was well known and of high quality in the past. Entry hall has old and stale sofas that you would expect in a run down hostal. Receptionist in the evening dressed like a normal person, not polite. The room itself is equally run down. Mattersses are not too bad but the room feels overused and well due a revamp. The bathroom is a nightmare with no shower curtain. Water everywhere.

4 stars??? No clean, No wifi connection on rooms, no good service. The elevator is far from the reception, the hotel simply stoped in the past century, everything is old and nothing is clean. Some parts are really dangerous if you have childs. Before my stay I sent 2 emails for the hotel and no one replied to me. They simply don't care about the guests.

There is nothing to like about this hotel expect the location.

I have no idea how this hotel gets 4 stars. We felt like we were in The Shinning. The hotel is completely outdated, our room felt like it hadn't been used in 40 years. The window was broken, the AC didn't work well, the beds were terrible and the sheets felt like paper. There was mold and water damage in the room. There are so many places to stay in Salamanca, this should not be one of them. Booking.com should remove this hotel from their website.

The receptionist was rude (not good customer service at all). The hotel has a weird smell. The room and bathroom were dirty, tv didn't work nor the mini fridge in the room. Definitely not what I expected., the pictures of the hotel are deceiving.

Great location and easy parking.

There was a bad smell in the room from dodgy drains coming from the bathroom. Since we had a dog they were unable to accommodate us into a better room.

Old fashion premises without proper maintenance. Washbin drainage overflowing, slipery badewane, old dragged towels, lack of essential items in bathroom. We had to change room due to non existing ...

The location was perfect, only about 5 minutes walk from the "Plaza Mayor"

At arrival the room smelled like cigarrete smoke, which is not very pleasent. We tried to change to other room but apparently, and citing the receptionist "people usually smoke at the window"...

Water came out of the faucets dirty, the beds where uncomfortable, the carpeting all over the hotel was worn and the a/c did'nt work.

Not worth the money.

We needed an iron machine urgently and although at first the receptionist said the rooms didn't have an iron and he wasn't sure whether he could get one, at the end he was very efficient and got us an iron in less than 10 minutes.

The first reaction from the staff when we asked for the iron machine was "No, the rooms don't have an iron machine". Only after insisting we got a "I'll check with the governor but not sure if I can help" and only after I insisted, I got a positive answer and a fast reaction. The elevator was broken.The hotel and rooms looked old (but clean). We were put in a room with two beds without being asked, instead of a double bed. The price was too high compared with the quality.

the hotel was dated and there was not really anything that would apeal to familys this is more of a hotel for older people and I am glad that we only stayed one night

Nicely placed, magnificent interior, quiet, very reasonable price

Very poor security, no reasonable safety facilities, no way to be sure about your belongings (money, passports, jewelry, electronics). During our 5-day stay our room and a few neighboring rooms were robbed in the evening time and a lot of valuable things disappeared. Hotel has no responsibility for the things even that you keep in the safety-deposit box. The box is very small (e.g. no way to put laptop there) has a prehistoric lock which you have to ask at the reception. Right on the vault you find the note that the hotel has no responsibility for the things you put there. So, the hotel Monterray is an extremely nice place if you do not care about your things and has not more than 20 Euros in your pocket.
