I hope you can get a reservation, dear reader!

Pros: The front desk person was nice other than that it was not a good experience and definitely not worth the money they charged me.
Cons: The room was dirty, the ac would not stay on, our key didn't work when we came back from hiking a 14ner and I had to go wall around and find the front desk person to get new keys made. On the web site the room I booked showed a whirl pool tub is why I paid so much money I knew I would be sore after the hike. The room we got had a shower only. In every was I was disappointed with this hotel and would not stay again. I could have gotten a very nice cabin close to the trail head for the same money...

Pros: The location was great, and there have been some minor upgrades/modernization efforts.
Cons: Carpets are old and there is some odor, especially outdoor carpeting on the stairs. Staffing was minimal and not able to support many requests. Pros: The breakfast was awesome: yogurt, granola, raisins!! And raisin bread with peanut butter! Plus fresh cantaloupe! Over the top, definitely!

Cons: Nothing, all was great.
7.0 Good
Pros: Hot tub and family suite.
Cons: Screen missing on window in our room. Breakfast was very small.
5.8 Okay
Pros: The staff did reply to our concerns but not being able to use the bathroom in your hotel room should be an instant fix not a 2 day process.
Cons: The carpets were stained and the shower did not get cleaned. We had the toilets back up and they came to fix them but didn’t get it fixed. We told them again and they got it fixed the next time. There was no offer to compensate us in anyway for our inconvenience. (There were no public bathrooms to use while ours wasn’t working)

5.0 Okay
Pros: Place was clean. It was charming and attractive. Had most anything one would need to cook on own etc
Cons: Absolutely miserable beds.. Ancient and WAY too soft.. fell right to middle like going down a rabbits hole. So miserable on back etc had to sleep on floor. That price gezz get some new mattresses. About the worse I've ever encountered and I travel a lot. Secondly, no matches or lighter for gas range. Also check out time was too early
10.0 Excellent
Cons: Nothing really, it was clean and exceeded my expectations. I mean for a cheap roadside motel that is, don’t start thinking it’s the 4 Seasons.

Cons: The parking lot is not very large so if you have a large vehicles may be a tight fit.

Pros: Loved the atmosphere, the down to earth feeling.
Cons: Parking was not so good.
6.3 Good
Pros: location to hwy
Cons: coffee maker and clock in room didn't work. Surrounding properties were a mess. Room was a bit outdated with a sloppy paint job. Price was too high for a room like this but it's probably the going rate for this part of Colorado ad the high season.

4.5 Okay
Pros: The bed was very comfortable and the television was handy. Family-friendly pool and grounds.
Cons: Bathroom floor was dirty as were the walls. Fixtures appeared clean. Very old tile shower. Wore shower shoes because I didn’t like the look of it. Room was tiny. Breakfast was supposed to open at 6:30, but by 7:30 when we left it still wasn’t open! Won’t recommend to others.
9.7 Excellent
Cons: Little bigger shower and bathroom update is the only suggestion we can give. It is a comfortable place with wonderful staff.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast was great. Nice to see protein, not just carbs, and it had fresh fruit, too. The location was great. We were traveling on vacation so staying in Salida was a good base to travel and see Great Sand Dunes and other attractions before leaving and heading to the eastern side of the Rockies.
Cons: Maybe a bit more parking but... we really didn't dislike anything there.
5.0 Okay
Pros: Location to Princeton hot Springs and restaurants
Cons: Check in was a nightmare. Check in time was 3pm. Was told to leave and come back at 5. No discount offered. My sister waited over three hours for her room to be ready and was finally comped her room. People were friendly but seemed very short staffed.
5.8 Okay
Pros: The staff was friendly and location great. A bit pricey for what you get. The hotel was just remodeled but could have been cleaner. The Pergo floors had clearly not been swept or mopped as there were rocks, dirt, and dust bunny/ dog hair all over. Concrete outside of doors was filthy with dirt, dead bugs and dirty band aids! Shower had last guest’s hair and dirt in it. Bed was generally comfortable, but AC was weak and very loud on/off throughout the night.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: The property is well maintained. Hot tubes were cleaned every morning we were there and we used them every night.
Cons: I would have like to be located closer to downtown.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The loaner bikes were awesome. Everything is very clean and modern. The glasses and mugs in the room were a nice touch.
Cons: Just need a little better insect control. They flock to the lights at every door and there were a lot floating in the hot tub.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: The pool and hot tub areas at this lodge were amazing! The beds were very comfortable and a good place to stay with a family. Sweet little motel
Cons: The location wasn’t exactly ideal, as it’s not in the main downtown area of Salida, which is where the charm really lies in town. Overall nice place, wish I was walking distance but good for its price!
8.3 Excellent
Pros: The motel had lots of good features. There were several tables outside the rooms where you could sit to rest or eat. It gave a nice sense of community for the day. The pool and hot tubs on the deck were nice.
Cons: The room was a little small. There was no bathroom vanity and the shower was incredibly small with the water spraying right in our faces and no way to adjust it. The breakfast was just packaged sweet rolls. Coffee in the office but not the room.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Room was spotless & very comfortable
Cons: Stairs to rooms. Not a problem for me, but a bit tough to carry my kids luggage up too
5.0 Okay
Pros: I liked the hot tubs. The fact that they had 3 of them and kept them clean was nice. Didn't have to pile in one tub with a bunch of strangers.
Cons: Room wasn't ready when we checked in. Had to wait an hour. The room wasn't that clean when we got it. Thought maybe the staff would've comped us for something, but they refused to. The free "breakfast" was a bit underwhelming.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The staff was great upon check in. The room was clean and comfortable, the views are amazing, and the amenities are great. Highly recommend a stay here. This is our first time passing through Salida, but we will definitely be coming back.
Cons: Not much didn’t like, maybe slight parking issues but it’s busy.

8.3 Excellent (34 reviews)
9.7 Excellent
Pros: Friendly owner who was working front desk. wooden furnishings made it feel like a cozy cabin
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Clean, nice staff, convenient location (on US 50), quaint rustic feel, laundromat on site. Quiet (they got me away from the hwy).
Cons: Room was very small, but they seemed to have other larger ones for the same price (maybe I got a small one because I requested away from the hwy). Bad leak in bathtub kept water running all night (but I slept OK because the AC fan muffled it).

9.0 Excellent
Pros: The clerk at check-in was very friendly and this was a quick process. I saw staff always cleaning, this was a plus.
Cons: Didn't like parking arrangement. Room number should be painted on the spot to park. Didn't like not being able to see my visible. Also, maybe the oversized big trucks should be the ones to park on the side. I'm Lorena from Denver not Norwalk!!
4.0 Okay
Pros: I didn’t get any breakfast
Cons: Too pricey and checkout was too early
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The hotel was very convenient for our stay. Very clean overall. Lots of amenities included with our stay.pool, sauna, hot tub, grilling area, lots of parking. Very impressed and pleased with my stay.
Cons: I wouldnt change a thing with the exception of the height of the shower heads. Being a very tall guy, they were just too short.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: the breakfast was great - everything was full - milk, OJ, fruit, cereal, pastry, etc and well presented. One of the better continental breakfasts I've seen.
Cons: bed was a little soft, but that's personal preference.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Great room
7.5 Good
Pros: Only problem was the people staying next dood came in very late and proceeded to wake the dead with yelling and screaming.
7.0 Good
Pros: The place is simple, as expected. The decor is a bit outdated but we expected this. The beds were fine, and the place was clean although there could be more attention to detail.
Cons: Breakfast was a bit spartan. There could be more choice of cereals and even a waffle maker or similar, maybe some bagels. The use of styrofoam is appalling!
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Very close proximity to brewery and salida hot springs!
Cons: Breakfast had limited healthy options
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Warm swimming pool and hot tub.
Cons: Everything was great.
5.0 Okay
Pros: The Continental breakfast was good with lots of choices.
Cons: Room was dirty. Parking spaces too small.
6.3 Good
Cons: The breakfast was cold, stale cereal or a mix of underwhelming pastries basically. The hotel is right on the main road so if you're near the front its noisy all night due to traffic.
7.0 Good
Pros: Room was clean and large, had frig and microwave.
Cons: Towels could have been softer.

5.8 Okay
Cons: THE BED WAS WAY TO SOFT, I FELT LIKE I WAS SLEEPING UP HILL. IN THE MORNING THE HOST ONLY MADE ONE POT OF COFFEE. SO IF YOU WAKE UP LATER ALL THE COFFEE WAS GONE. SO WOULD EVERY THING ELSE .
1.0 Poor
Cons: I asked for a room with a fridg but was told I booked on line and motel was full no room was available. Motel was never full the 3 days and 2 nights we were there.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The room was great! Had a retro vibe and the bed was SO comfortable!!
7.0 Good
Pros: The bed was comfortable. The television worked fine and her overnight it was quite adequate.
Cons: The switch for the shower didn’t work properly and it was difficult to keep the floor from getting wet.
7.0 Good
Pros: The room itself was nicely updated. Bed was comfy. Not too far from restaurants and activities.
Cons: No one is available in the office from 10am-3pm. I'm only 5'5" and I had to crouch to get my hair wet in the shower. It looks like it has not been updated in decades.
7.0 Good
Cons: In a desert, you need a good A/C, not one that's dieing
10.0 Excellent
Pros: It was a nicely done update of an old original 40’s motor inn. All new interiors and furnishings.
7.0 Good
Pros: Nice modern retro decor
Cons: Short checkin hours - arrived just after 10pm - had to sleep outside and check in at 7am next day
1.0 Poor
Pros: It was close to restaurants.
Cons: The bed was extremely hard. I felt like I was sleeping on a board instead of a bed. I ran out of hot water in the middle of my shower. One of the towels in the bathroom was dirty. Overall I had a pretty unpleasant experience.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: nice clean quit room
Cons: no microwave
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Room was super cute! Quiet place.
Cons: There was not a do not disturb sign. Wasn't a big deal probably could've gotten one if asked for one. I'm just lazy
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Location right on the main road. Walking distance to restaurants.
Cons: Coffee not fresh. Must have half and half, not chemical products.

7.5 Good
Cons: Staff, scarry bunch, not that professional looking or acting.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Coffee and breakfast food was good.
Cons: Eating area smaller than expected.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast was good, my boyfriend thought the biscuits and gravy were a salty. I had the waffles and they were yummy! Beds were comfortable.
Cons: Hole in the ceiling and shower was not in very good shape. After taxes and fees, $200 in a small town was prcey, it was definitely not up to par for that price. Based on the age of the hotel, I would have been more than happy to pay closer to $150 after all the fees.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Pulled off the highway after a long day of driving and walked into heaven. The hotel and our room was clean, roomy, and so comfortable! Outstanding breakfast!
Cons: Wish we could have stayed longer!
7.5 Good
Pros: The staff was trying, they were under staffed and parts of the facility were out of order!
Cons: The hot tub was not full and therefore had lost it’s heat!
3.3 Mediocre
Cons: I stay at several dozen hotels throughout each year for work and leisure. This was the worst one I've been at in recent memory. They charged more than I was quoted on booking.com for my stay. The carpets were filthy. The maid failed to leave shampoo...I tried calling front desk....always busy...went to the front desk and was told phones were out. Next day (2 night stay) the shampoo I went to the office to get was gone. Had to go back to front office again to get more. Beds were extremely uncomfortable and pillows were lumpy. A/C cycled continuously and had vast temperature swings.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Easy check , clean facilities, comfortable
Cons: Not a thing
6.3 Good
Cons: The pool and hot tub to much chorine, was not able to tolerate very scary.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Excellent staff, great breakfast.
Cons: Nothing.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Clean room, hallways and lobby plus pool area
Cons: Tight parking lot. Motel was full and people pulling trailers used 3-4 parking spots. Low water pressure in shower
3.0 Mediocre
Pros: Location.
Cons: Everything else.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Smiling faces and they allowed the car club to use the water facilities for our car wash
Cons: The hot tub was a little over chlorinated..bleached my bathing suit
