Fantastic rooms with internet
We had a relaxing time, in a good location. The hotel is well finished with all the amenities we wanted.
very private, very clean , good location. just a minor thing bacon egg sausage did go cold quickly in the heated container.
The hotel was very clean, modern and comfortable and had a good range of facilities.
we always book Magnolia if it's no space in Puertaventura hotel it is our 10 time stay ther.......... nothing
A very relaxed atmosphere The dinner options are not very good
Spacious rooms, good location. Some of the members of the staff showed incompetence. The hotel charges 5 euro per day for the safe box. The hotel does have a parking which is impossible to book in advance.
Location, value for money price for 4 star and facilities no coffee or tea facilities in room but suppose you don't need in Spain. And also heated pool was V cold
Location was perfect, quiet but close enough to restaurants and nightlife Nothing to complain about
the breakfast was amazing!!! there was so much to choose from and all great fresh food. the buffet dinner also looked really good but we didnt get a chance to try it.the staff were friendly, they also have a spa/beauty and gym which was quite handy. the only thing i could fault them on is most of the staff spoke very little english, but we did get by fine, just was surprised in such a touristic city!
pool was very nice. great location beside the beach. rooms serviced very well daily and great pool supervision and kids activities. there were no english speaking kids channels on the tv which is important for those few minutes in the morning and when trying to get ready to go out in the evening.
The hotel is very close to the beach, nice refurbished swimming pool and the food is very good. During our stay they didn't serve scrambled eggs for breakfast, fried eggs instead.
great location, near the beach and city centre, fontains show, easy to get to bus station, you don't need to take a taxi from salou bus station, it's in about 10 min walking from hotel. room was spacy with a big balcony. visit restaurant Arena -located in the hotel building- one of the best in salou check out at 10 a.m.
I liked the fact that it was across the road from the beach, had a great breakfast buffet and catered very well for the children. It was nice that a child discount was applied if children under 11 shared a room with an adult. I thought it would have wi-fi in the rooms and not just restricted to the lobby area. It was also a little basic for a 4 star hotel.
proximity to the ocean, and the main street. I could not find anything like this.
i really liked the hotel because it was infront of the beach. well, the beds they were uncuftable my children could not sleep.
The staff were very nice, polite and informative.
Service, location of the hotel - close to shore
Facilities / Room / Location.
Hotel was very clean and rooms were spacious. Excellant comunications with hotel and staff were friendly and polite.
Enjoyed the relaxing by the pool, and the restaurant food was good. Soft drinks quite expensive - 4.80 euros for two bottles of coca cola. Quite steep really.
Central location to all restaurants and beach, rooms spotless on a daily basis, breakfast fresh and tasty
The pool is nice and jacuzzi is an added feature nicely placed where everyone can access it. Bar prices reasonable. Close to centre and beach. Beds are very firm and can leave you feeling stiff in the morning if you suffer back problem.
I like the room, the services, the food ,the location near to the centre of salou, near to he beach, near to the port aventura park, tvery clean
Good value for money, convenient location, clean comfortable rooms. Dinner food, staff and room was poor and unenjoyable
The general areas, pool, reception etc are excellent. The food is very good both for breakfast and evening meals with a very good selection at reasonable cost. The hidden extra charges: 25 euro a week to use the bedroom fridge, 17 per week to use the small hotel safe and even a charge for a second key notwithstanding that the booking was for two persons. This was not refunded on check out. The check out time of 10am is ridiculously early although they do supply a room to hold bags. In room 327 there was no lock on the safe so it could not be used even if we were prepared to pay 17 euro. The price of the internet is crazy at about 6 euro per hour. In a four star hotel all these charges should be included. The general hotel is excellent but bedrooms are maximum three star. These hidden charges make you feel ripped of-even a three star would not have such high charges. Dont let this put you off. It i
The hotel was in the centre of everything that salou has to offer. Was very clean. Extremely small balcony in our corner room. More importantly however poolside very cramped because numerous tables and chairs set up which were not used by guests at all but restricted the area for sun loungers.
3 people in a very small room!
We felt the hotel was excellent value for money especially the evening meals which were fresh, well presented and tasty. The restaurant compared very favourable with the prices and menus in the town.
Very friendly and helpful staff. A great location in Salou, near to the main shopping street and only 5 mins walk from seafront promenade
The location is great. It is close to the beach and all other interesting places (shopping, bars, etc.). The staff was always nice and helpful. The gym is not really a gym. They have 3 exercisers from the las century. Besides we were a bit disappointed of the cleanness of our bathroom. It seems that they never clean the bidet. On balance too weak for a 4* hotel.
Staff at the front desk during the day was great Staff in the restaurant was a bit rude. The night porter-receptionist was more than rude. We had to look for him as he always was away from his position, watching TV. And at that time, I was not able to borrow a simple corkscrew what means you can only demand something during the day, what is OK for a 2-star hotel but... this is a 4-star hotel!!!
city center Internet connection was not working
Central and rooms perfect. Access road not very good with major construction work being carried out.
We found the staff to be very friendly and helpfull. The rooms were clean and comfortable . The pool on the top floor was great and also very clean . The buffet breakfast was was really good with a great choice of food and excellent servive .Location was great and close to the beach . The hotel was perfect but the taxi was expensive at 30 Euro to and from Reus Airport .
it was central in city noice
rooms very clean, food to a good standard international drinks to expensive
helpful staff, clean and nice decor, food choice. entertainment
Sixth floor, windows to the back and noisy neighbours
The staff were very helpful and friendly throughout the duration of our stay. The hotel was in a central location, just five minutes walk to the beach. The rooms were cleaned daily by hotel staff. The roomns were well air conditioned and had a nice balcony. There was a wide variety of food for breakfast and dinner, something to suit everyone. We stayed here from the 25th-30th September and we were the youngest in the hotel by a mile. Everyone was at least 60+. There were only a few young couples and a few families with kids but the majority were retired couples. The entertainment in the hotel at night was to suit the elderly so we literally stayed there to sleep and eat.
I enjoyed the buffet breakfast and pool. The pool closed too early.
The food and service is good. The rooms are fine and clean but you can hear conversations of people in rooms adjacent. The location is good and near the bars, beach and bus services. A few of the male staff in the dining room are a bit ignorant and impatient. Some of my wife's clothes went missing from our room,,,nothing significant but still it was disturbing for her....
nice hotel very modern food good ideal location for salou and nearby area would stay there again
Great location Parking problems in high summer
Central location in salou clean rooms and staff friendly.buffet breakfast good and cost reasonable. Small pool .some rooms with small shaded balconies, dinner buffet quality hit and miss.
First impressions count, and on our first night the reception staff were gumpy to say the least, restuarant food appalling, drinks and internet very expensive..... however the food did improve slightly the next evening.
The different cultures staying there made our holiday interesting and very enjoyable, while friendly barstaff ensured the children were just as important as the adults! Some staff not very helpful.
Excellent location, frendly staff, good selection of food
Room small but clean Food was very average ,disappionting. No english t. v channels only news.
Only ten minute trip to airport.
Great position, comfortable rooms, friendly staff, breakfast good, generally a very pleasant stay... just the people in the room next door coughing at 5am non stop and walls a bit thin and beds could be a bit softer....
Good location (not far from the beach and from the main shops), good food, pleasant area... And refurbished bathroom Small and uncomfortable rooms, very old furniture, very old conditioning systems, no services (laundry, spa...). Very loud animation every evening from 9 till 12 p.m (we lived on the 5th floor, and it was impossible to sleep and spent time in a quiet). Queues on the breakfast if you come up at 9 a.m (so you have to come at 8 or 8.30 a.m, not later). The next time I would choose another plase for my vacation
Everything was very good more like 4 star except the food, although the food was edible it lacked something to tempt you, but acceptable for a three star Not really, except a very hard bed! and food could have been slightly better but ok for a three star hotel.
proximity to beach / restaurants etc - breakfeast / food very good staff not friendly - had problem with our room and staff very unhelpfuk
good location small pool area
Reception staff very good polite and friendly bar staff no social skills what so ever not at all friendly Hotel very nice but not as good as it was 10/15 yrs ago i have stayed in this hotel many times over the last 20 yrs and seen alot of changes.
clean and nice. huge lobby with sofas. pools. you get what you paid for internet costs money, It did not work with my ipod and they could not refund me. Safe costs extra money. Regular&hot Drinking water costs a lot!
The room location was the worst in the Hotel. View was to very noise appartments and all day noise of ventilators from restaurant and food smell. I asked to change the room but Hotel staff ignored my request. Hotel is good but I will never stay there if the room location will be the same.
Beautful hotel. A bit noisy at night outside in street. Rooms lovely, clean and nicely decorated. Close to everything. Value for money. Noise at night outside.
We felt that the hotel and rooms were excellent in terms of cleanliness and quality. It was very convenient for the beach and town, while we were also able to visit port aventura and Barcelona easily. on the last day our towels got v.wet in a storm and a kind member of staff took them and dried them for us so that we could pack them in our case-this was v.kind of her. i feel that the sunbeds could be improved. they are v.uncomfortable as you cannot adjust the backs.
Beautiful and clean hotel. Nice swimming pools. Delicious breakfast for 5 euro (egg, sausage, bean etc., fruits, vegetables, drinks etc). Every common place is under video control, so we (or our objects) are in safe, I think. :) The neighborhood of hotel is clean and nice (except one big white house close to hotel). The hotel has free package storage, offset 10 o'clock check out time. Be careful the view from your room. The view from our first room was the neighbouring building with a big white wall, around 6 meters far. I feel myself I'd in a prison. The receptionist can't give us another room because, they were full. I called the booking.com customer service immediately, and on the second day, the hotel offered me an another room, with beautiful sea view. These fact was known when booked, but uncomfortable: 10 o'clock check out time is a little bit early, swimming pools are close too early, need to pay for safe and refrigerator (but somebody of previous guests already hacked the fridge, so you can use it, if you are clever.) Pair of ear plugs is necessary of course.
Relaxing around the pool Car parking is a real nightmare around teh hotel and in Salou in general, we were fined 200 Euros and our car was towed away to the pound. The police tow away all foreign cars and leave the Spanish ones alone. Staff at the hotel should be compeled to inform foreign guests of the risks and also have a map of all car parks available for guests to find one.
Excellent hotel!! Beautiful pool with tree shaded pool bar seating area. Quiet location but right by the sea, promenade and all amenities. Sea views across the bay on upper floors....stunning sunsets!
The location was perfect, the staff were all extremely polite and helpful as was the lady who cleaned our room. The children's pool was great and the staff in the mini club were really nice. The breakfast was good but I was not that keen on the hot food in the evening. Having said this I could always find something to eat and the salads and deserts/fruit were really good and fresh. Other people I spoke to found all the hotel food good so it might just have been me.
how clean it was some late night noise from street and neighbouring hotels
The staff were very friendly and hotel was clean
Had booked room for at least 6 weeks earlier and yet room not available when we got there at 11.30 at night. My daughter is pregnant and needed rest after a long day. we were put in a noisy downstairs room with camp bed where there were school children on tour.Considered leaving hotel next day but they gave us a better room but still very noisy. Very disappointed. Your company had charged my husbands credit card for first night which I believed was not correct. We intended paying full amount in cash. Unbelievable a hotel should do this.
location to the beach there breakfast is really bad and i would'nt eat such rubbish so had to find another resturant to eat in
The great Irish restaurant across the road. Fantastic customer services and brilliant for a young family. Very friendly. A bit dated.
Good hotel not far from the beach but we rested only one night. Our triple room was in the 4th floor, comfortable enough, with a nice view from the balcony.Breakfast ok.
Good location close to the beach and main area. Clean and probably lives up to it's 3 stars but quite basic. Breakfast not the best
Close to beach The staff and lack of staff.
Spacious family room We were not allowed to have an electric kettle in room. We needed it to prepare formula milk for our baby.
Close to the beach and the center of Salou Very basic comfort
the view food was appauling, sauna did not work, pool was poor, far to much chlorine. Poor service at bar.
The location was the best, it was very close to the beachside and center of Salou. Good price relation. No complains on our part
Nice and clean good food
The room, personell who cleaned the room... very clean. Just turning the tv on was to much noise?! While there is animation till 1AM?! Not fair from hotel staff imo
Location: 5 min to the plage For sure, not 4-star hotel: room decoration and size, food don't match expectations
Hotel were aware that I would be checking in late and arranged a light supper in my room, a nice touch and appreciated A fridge in the room would be welcomed
The room was perfect. The TV was perfect with many channels in english. The resturant was excelent, the buffet in the evening was 10 out of 10 and the staff was the best.Free show every night. I will absolutly be back.
Free wi-fi in the room and in the lobby, good location, good curtains protecting from sun, jakuzzi and sunbeds on the roof. Fruits for breakfast and dinner. The cleaning of the room was poor - one day the bed was not made, the shampoo and soap were almost not replaced, the cleaning was very quick and not thourogh. The breakfast was not very good - there was mostly high cholesterol food like fried sausages and bacon + bakery from a shop (not fresh). It was not possible to get tea of coffee for dinner, even for fee. The hotel was full by mostly old people, so not really fun. Overall, it was a reasonable stay and the hotel is not bad, but also could not say it was great experience.
proximity to beach and location smokey smell in room, food: not great selection for breakfast
the hotel was very clean the food was lovely and it is very central to beach and shopping ever thing was just lovely
It was convenient location, right beside the beach and near the downtown area with all the bars and clubs. it was good value for money and adequate for our needs on a relatively short stay. The staff were very rude especially during breakfast and dinner. It is not pleasent being shoved from a seat for no apparent reason by someone who does not even try to explain in spanish or even greet you in the first place! also the cutlery and plates in our room were filthy and when we requested new ones it was completely ignored. Do not go for half board as food is not the standard one would expect, even for a european hotel.
Great service and lovely food. I stayed half board with no regrets. Clean and comfortable. Superb entertainment for families and kids in the evenings. Beach close by (about 100m). Not applicable
Hotel location is very good, close to beach, supermarket and restaurants. Good facilities (parking, free wifi in the lobby, nice children playground). Breakfast was ok for a 3* hotel, better than expected. They tend to organize evening events near the pool - it's nice if you don't plan to get out. Hotel feels old. You can see it (and sometimes smell it) on the walls, furniture, TV box, etc. Biggest issue for us: room setup is somewhat strange - a big, wooden panel splits the room in two; it didn't felt comfortable. We were on the street side; probably rooms with view at the pool are noisy in the evening. Hotel has quite low rates but for the money it could be better.
all fine only complaint was room not ready when i arrived had to wait 40 minutes til 2pm when check in was 12 also the vacating of room at 10am is too early
the rooms are spacious and have big balconies. the halfboard that we had was very generous and very delicous. i strongly recommend this hotel as i would go back anytime. what i didn't like was the fact that even though we specifically asked for a parking space when we booked the hotel, upon arrival there was nothing but a shrug from the receptionist saying..."maybe tomorow" and it wasn't till the evening of the next day that they managed to find us a space.
close to the beach and a good choice of food entertainment at night also close to the town centre and railway station friendly staff and only a short trip from the airport
Fab staff, friendly&helpful.Good location for shopping, bars, restaurants, supermarket and buses.Excellent choice of freshly prepared food for breakfast.Clean rooms ,well equipped with fridge, utensils, hairdryer, toiletries etc. Could not fault the hotel in any way, would recommend for good clean well priced accomodation in a good location for a beach type holiday both with friends or family.
Stayed at da Vinci Royal several times now.Food is above the average for Salou 3 star hotels. However you may have to warm up some meals in the microwave. Staff are good to excellant The facilities are quite good and entertainment is nightly but varies in standard but it is designed to suit all tastes. The rooms are cleaned daily and cleaners are very helpful and will work around your needs.
receptionist was friendly, restaurant staff were friendly and helpful.Room was large and the lift worked air condiotioner was too noisy and on the second night of our stay we did not sleep at all because of drilling into walls(something to do with the patio doors) all night.the hotel is concrete and the drilling vibrated all night!!!!plates and cups were filthy in the cupboards in the room. There was no kettle and no instructions to turn the power on to the cooker. We had to guess.
The rooms where spacious and the beds were very comfortable Some of the staff can be a little surly when approached with concerns, One receptionist failed to understand the significance and importance of something extremely important that I raised, but to be fair another one did and acted appropriately to the best of her ability.
pool rooms much too small we booked triple too cramped for 3 adults should not have to pay to use a fridge in room. sheets not changed daily. our room covered in ants!
We went to Portaventura park for tow dys. Found the indoor pool excellent. used the playgroung and dining and bar in hotel. We also wnet into Salou. it was not close to either Portaventura or the beach, but both were within 20 minutes walk in different directions.
Breakfast was good Rooms are very old and need urgent intervention.
Very well placed, near from the center end the beaches, and away enough to enjoy the quiet of the night. Nothing.
I thought the hotel was clean and the staff were friendly and helpfull. The only thing that let the hotel down was the cooked breakfast, very repetative, the eggs where deep fried and bacon was very greasy. No omeletes and pancakes.
it was a nice hotel, clean and comfortable... not enough sun loungers around pool,
I liked that there was a russian girl on the reception - Natasha that helped us a lot and that there was a free interenet in the hotel to refresh rooms and to make 1 bed for double room for married couples
My Wife and I have stayed at the above Hotel over the years...We both feel that it should only be rated 3* only.....Food in the evening is below average and very blande.
The cleaner did a brilliant job. Gym was very good. Very nice hotel!!!
Wi-fi not working. Is not refrigerator in the room.
Good size room lovelyview Clean and tidy very spacious
It is very convinient to get at Port Aventura from this hotel.
the hotel staff is really friendly and helpful, both of us (friend and me) liked the situation of the hotel - very close to the railway station and to the bus station, so, even if you don't know Salou it will be very easy to get to the hotel. It should be said that the beach is very close to the hotel, and that's the big advantage as well. What's more? For the price it's the good choice :)
Pretty good hotel in the center of city, directly on the seaside. Very good breakfast. The staff gave some food instead of breakfast because of very early check-out.
Location and staff
location and staff were excellent internet worked well in room a bit noisy (from other guests) basic breakfast
Clean, good sized room for the price paid, & friendly helpful staff Breakfast was quite basic wth limited options for vegetarians, however appreciate that it was a fairly standard continental breakfast
I liked free wi-fi, good breakfast. The bathroom was very good, comfort, very clean. The hotel staff was very polite and patient.
Nothing As I cant walk to far I was put up on the fith floor
close to the beach, jaquzzi on the roof it was not possible to lock balcony doors
Excellent arrangement - 1 minute from a beach, 2 minutes from railway station, 5 minutes from bus station. Russian-speaking girls on reception (Karina, Elena) - thanks for the helpful information! Purely, good service, well - working conditioner. And mega king size bed! Rather poor breakfasts, kind on building from a window, a small balcony. The safe, bar, the Internet - at additional expense.
Good location Didn,t realise there was no swimming pool
Rooftop terrace is nice but no shade and no pool, just jacuzzi. Very close to the beach, but no views of the sea from rooms. The bar was convenient. Parking across the street was a bit scary. Breakfast was among the worst we had during our spanish odyssey. Don't drink the "orange juice" - it's low-grade Tang made with calcium-fortified tap water. Coffee is almost as bad. My head hurts thinking about it.
liked the man at reception very helpful breakfast menu could be improved
