[ Pros ] The price and the 24-hour reception. I know, I know, hotels are supposed to offer the latter, but I'm pointing it out because the hostel I was checking in at San Juan Old Town wasn't open 24/7 so finding an affordable room for my first night in San Juan was such a big deal for me. It wasn't busy when I was there so there was no fuss asking for a late checkout at all. And the highlight was its proximity to Condado Beach. I didn't think of it when I booked a room as I was really only after a place to spend the night so it was such a big bonus. [ Cons ] The room I was in had one window that couldn't be closed and it so happened that it was facing the street and there was some construction nearby. I still had a good sleep since I was tired from the trip and from working remotely for a bit but it would've been hell for people who'd wake up from the slightest sound.
Pros. Location only
Cons. Space
Pros. This place is dirty. The staff is rude. the shower is in the closet. No towels. No wash clothes. They put two twin beds and called it a king.
Cons. The whole place. It needs burnt down and shut down.
Pros. Felt safe and clean there. Close to the beach and restaurants. All the parking meters were broken, so it was actually easy to find free parking. Very no frills room.
Cons. Taking our luggage up three flights of stairs. No elevator.
Pros. Location was wonderful, easily accessible to many restaurants and beaches. Room was cleaned daily, sheets, towels all replaced and floor swept. Great place to stay if you are on a budget, overall everything was wonderful. We did not want to leave!
Cons. We did not have electric for a full day staff said they were going to accomodate and they did nothing but lie!
Pros. Worst experience with a Hotel I have ever had!!! Once in my room I noticed that the A/C was not working, so I contacted front desk and of course there is no on staff to repair it. I waited 3 hours to be moved to another room as I was left sweating to death. I receive my new room the A/C was acceptable. The next morning the staff are calling my wife to tell her to move back to the Death Bed room (Prior Room), why I'm at my training. They harrassed her for a few hours so I left my training to address this matter. We had to move for the third time in less than one day!!!!!! This place is one piece of ##!$@ and wouldn't recommend it to my worst enemy!!!!!!!
Cons. EVERYTHING!!!!!
Pros. Location and hotel boutique style.
Cons. Loud AC unit
Pros. The staff was pleasant & helpful. The kitchen with the shared refrigerator was very useful as was the natural food market across the street. The courtyard outside the kitchen was a very pleasant place to sit & enjoy breakfast or a cup of tea. The mattresses & pillows were perfect for a good nights sleep.
Cons. The maintenance in the room could have been better, but so could maintenance in the City and at the Airport been better. It would have been useful to always have hot water in the bathroom and for the housekeeping staff to leave the correct number of face cloths each day.
