Staff was always friendly and helpful in this charming small hotel which was the epitomy of Tuscany style stone buildings with tile roofs and wood beamed ceilings. The quiet setting in vineyards and olive groves was an easy drive to many of the more interesting hill towns such as San G., Siena and Voltare and not far from the main highway. It was convenient to have a restaurant on the property for either a price fixed or lighter menu. A comfortable lounge with bar and internet access had that warm rustic character of Tuscany that we found relaxing and pleasant to return to after each day of sightseeing. While in late October it was too cool for the pool, the setting has a spendid view of the surrounding Chianti country-side.
Not a complaint, just a suggestion to have a good map and directions to find the Belvedere for the first time as there's not a useable address for a GPS. Off track on our way there, we stopped at a wonderful vineyard with wine tasting called Rocca Della Macie for directions. The vineyard also owns the restaurant nearby where Olive Garden chefs train.
Great location to travel between the smaller villages of Chianti and in easy reach of Sienna
Some of the waiting staff in the restaurant very pretentious, attitude to guests not great (tall man with glasses), offered different desserts to people and sarcastically answered questions. The gentleman in the morning that covered breakfast was a little cold, but the barman was great, only one i seen smilling. The coffee was terrible, instant coffee when you have a machine to produce propper coffee, my girlfriend is Italian and was appaled, that being said the buffet in the morning had a good selection.
The location and views from the room were great. We used the hotel as a base to tour Chianti and it worked very well for that. The service in the hotel was first class.
Very helpful, pleasant staff. On-site food, both for breakfast and dinner was very good. Wonderful location with great views of the Tuscan hills. Nice location to get to many of the primary attractions in the Chianti and further south areas.
Classic Italian B&B bed... could have been more comfortable.
Great location to explore beutifull Chianti region. Excellent service and stuff very kind. Beutifull nature around hotel - vineyerds and mountains. Good food and all facilities. Excellent room. Good attitude to families with small children.
No, everything was really good!
