Staff are extremely nice, very helpful. I guess they try to make the best with that they have but owner just doesn't seem to want to improve the rooms a lot outside the aesthetics.
Altought the rooms at first glance look good they lack proper or common sense stuff. First room didn't even had a curtain on a medium sized window that faces the stairs, receptionist told me that owner hasn't decided to install one so guests just block the view with a pillow, clothes or something. I asked to be moved to a different room and that was better but the issue with the window halfway remained. There was a curtain that partially block the view to the inside. Room was extremely noisy. You could hear people yelling late at night when they are arriving to their rooms at 3am. I got waked up at 6am by the bells of a nearby church, then again at 7a and 8a. I guess the owner could install double paned windows instead. Bathroom looks new but was not very convenient in the way that toilet is inside the shower and also the shower floor is at the same level as the bathroom floor without any division, so you would get good amount of water overflowed outside the shower that you would later need to dry up with a towel if you wanted to use the mirror bathroom sink without getting your feet wet.
It has a great location, beautiful garden and very cozy hotel.
The water from the shower goes every where, it flooded the room.
Close to all the sights with all the historic atmosphere (church bells to wake you in the morning for breakfast), parking possibilities just around the corner, friendly people (always with good advice where to eat) and clean rooms.
Location and staff
The location is great, very central and we walked everywhere (restaurants, sites, etc.). Staff and room were ok. No major complaints. Parking is free but is about a block away.
Would be nice to have big water jugs that guests can use to refill water bottles (most hotels have this since you can't drink the tap water). TV didn't seem to be connect to anything so didn't get any channels.
