Pros: The building and rooms are beautiful. As are the courtyards and gardens. We didn't have a meal in the evening but the breakfast was wonderful and the breakfast staff were very efficient and friendly.
Cons: Girl who checked us in was a bit grumpy and non communicative.
Pros: On the cliff top with beautiful views over San Sebastian and the sea. We had a sea view room which is lovely and you can watch the ferries come and go from the high vantage point. Very quiet location with a lovely relaxing ambience. This is less of a family hotel and more for couples.
Cons: I enjoyed watching the ferries come and go, but you can hear the engine noise. I am very sensitive to noise at night and to be honest it did not bother me.
Pros: The garden and the views from the hotel are amazing.
Cons: The mattress was rather old and not so comfortable.
Cons: It was distressing to see caged birds (parrots) in the garden, the cage was very small and the birds were very distressed. I brought my concerns to the attention of the management but the response was a non verbal indifferent shrug of the shoulders. If the hotel wishes to keep caged birds then it should be in a proper aviary.
Cons: The bed was very hard and small, pillow was very hard. So we didn't have a comfortable sleep. For the cost of staying at the hotel, a comfortable bed should be provided
Pros: Great gardens and outdoor areas
Cons: No facility to make tea or coffee in the bedroom
Pros: The location gives you spectacular views of the Marina. The grounds are beautifully maintained with a variety of plants and trees. You can find seating areas across the grounds providing shade while you absorbe all the beauty of this location.
Cons: The fact that I couldn’t stay for ever!!!!
Pros: This Parador is the perfect location for enjoying the beauty of La Gomera! It’s on a bluff overlooking the port and the main part of town (so you need to drive/bus to locations there). It’s lovely and very relaxing. If you are here to see Parque Nacional de Garajonay, this parador is on the road to this amazing park. We enjoyed our patio and room, and found the food and wine at the restaurant very good.
Pros: Quiet hotel with great views. Old dark furniture.
Cons: Guy on reception on second day was very unfriendly
With a stay at Hotel Jardín Tecina in San Sebastian de la Gomera, you'll be 9.6 mi (15.4 km) from Garajonay National Park and 15.6 mi (25.2 km) from La Laguna Grande Visitor Center. Featured amenities include a computer station, a 24-hour front desk, and multilingual staff. This hotel has 2 meeting rooms available for events. Free self parking is available onsite.
Pros: Great Garden and surroundings
Pros: Location was lovely with great views and birdsong all around - breakfast was enjoyable!!
Cons: It was expensive so I expected the wifi to work - it did intermittently!!
Cons: Staff was somewhat unfriendly. Service at breakfast was subpar. Breakfast was officially from 8-10.30 but they started cleaning at 10 which made us feel not very welcome. Further, small things such as bathroom supplies were not replanished, charging 2 euro for the safe, noisy on the premises from early morning onwards due to staff activities.
Pros: The location
Cons: My wife fell and slipped exiting the pool and had to go to hospital where she was put in plaster and still is,but no one at the hotel logged nor showed any concern
Pros: The best place if you want to be active. A lot of sport facilities. We came to play padel
Pros: Room and terrace lovely, bar very nice and welcoming
Cons: People smoking in the none smoking zone, restaurants had no atmosphere
Cons: It’s far from the port The stuff was really not nice
Pros: Amazing location. Rooms were good, recently updated bathroom. Wonderful view of the Atlantic. Super-convenient location close the airport (only 7 minutes)
Cons: The common areas, especially outside (pool, terraces) could do with a bit of refresh. Staff are friendly and professional, but you do feel like on of many guests. Also, not enough parking spaces
Cons: The room is clean, no issue here, but without the airco running it has a strong smell of some perfume I cannot identify. We switched on the airco to get rid of the smell. The apartment size is just adequate for nowadays standards.
Pros: The beds were very comfortable.
Cons: There could have been more handrails on steps for the elderly. Also maybe better signage to help with finding the room and the lift to the beach.
When you stay at Hotel Villa Gomera in San Sebastian de la Gomera, you'll be near the beach, within a 10-minute walk of San Sebastian de la Gomera Harbour and Insular Infanta Cristina Auditorium.
Pros: Excellent location (only a short walk from the port), very friendly and helpful staff. Great value for money (as a buffet breakfast is included). The first time we stayed there we had a room with a small terrace, which was great for airing out hiking boots and all that - you might be able to request this kind of room (but I'm not sure).
Pros: The room was clean and the beds comfortable. The breakfast was basic, but I enjoyed it very much.
Pros: I liked that I could check-in early -at 11-, though it had not been agreed beforehand.
Pros: Clean and warm
Pros: Breakfast Buffet with boiled Eggs, different types of bread, cheese, ham, fresh and canned fruit, yogurt, porridge, juices, tee and coffee.
Cons: Musty smell in the bathroom.
Pros: Good location
Cons: No parking on site or nearby
Pros: Centrally located hotel, good service, good breakfast. Our room (104) was very loud (road around the corner) and the beds were old & noisy. Horrible: The pillows - completely stiff and uncomfortable.
Pros: The staff were fantastic and lovely. The breakfast was excellent. The hotel was reasonably priced
Cons: The bed was very small and very hard. It was hot and there wasn't a fan
Pros: clean hotel. good breakfast. complete accommodation.
Cons: Our room at the street side! To much noise in the early morning.
When you stay at Pensión La Gaviota in Playa de Santiago, you'll be on the beach and 6 minutes by car from Playa de Tapahuga.
Pros: Great Location, very clean
Pros: This Pension was exactly as described, great location with the sound of sea so close. The owner was very kind i) giving me a birthday present and ii) providing a bed and drink/eating dish for our dog.
Pros: Location by the sea
Cons: In spite of the fact that during my reservation I strictly refused the room above the pub I got the room right above the pub (however it was closed during my arrival and payment so I did not noticed this fact, but I noticed it in the next day)
Pros: The small town of Playa de Santiago provides a wonderful microcosm and this place is in the very center of it. Right at the sea you feel like sleeping at the beach and, if you are lucky, might even see the sunrise right from your bed (see picture). I’m a big fan and will come back!
Pros: Found it very good for budget accomodation
Cons: On sea front so therefore natural noise of waves at night when trying to sleep.
Pros: View and sound of the sea from the balcony!
Cons: This modest pension offers a fair price-to-quality ratio. The rooms are miniature, but impeccably clean and we enjoyed the balcony. I have however to WARN all travellers not to book this hotel during fiesta days as we did. As the hotel is located directly on the square where the stage is situated, it was literally impossible to sleep almost all the night (the sound of the music was so loud that the walls and the bed vibrated – I think even ear plugs wouldn’t help at all)… I would never book the room for that very night if I knew and I find it a bit unfair that we hadn’t been informed. But I guess those events are quite rare and probably easy to check…
Pros: The hostel is a good option for budget travellers. The staff is friendly and the rooms are clean and directly at the sea front.
Cons: Half of Playa de Santiago is a construction site, as of March 2019. Unfortunately, the construction site is right in front of the hotel.
Pros: Location was great, right next to the beach. We had a late check in and they waited for us untill we arrived.
Cons: There was a lot of noise from the restaurant downstairs untill late at night. Also there was a strong emergency light above the door in the room. The room was quite small for 2 people.
Pros: Very clean room. Good bathroom facilities with bath wash, shampoo and 4 towels. Plenty of pillows and extra bedding.
Cons: Not all rooms have a small balcony, ask for one if staying more than 1 night.
Pros: Very nice person that welcomed us
Cons: There was noise from the plaza below and people were talking in very loud voices in the morning
When you stay at Hotel Torre del Conde in San Sebastian de la Gomera, you'll be near the beach, within a 5-minute walk of San Sebastian de la Gomera Harbour and Insular Infanta Cristina Auditorium. Featured amenities include complimentary newspapers in the lobby, dry cleaning/laundry services, and a 24-hour front desk.
Pros: Good choice of food
Cons: Not enough seats
Pros: location and friendly staff
Pros: Breakfast was Continental but adequate ,the staff were friendly. Reception staff very helpful ,particularly Francisco. Hotel location absolutely excellent. Did not quite understand the air condition made it slightly cool in the room( the room faced North so no sun) .Highly recommended ,would stay again.
Cons: As stated air conditioning but should have asked for help. No other complaints
Pros: Honesty of staff I left my purse In room and staff found it x
Pros: Nice and clean small urban hotel. Friendly staff
Pros: The Location could not have been better only 10 mins from harbour and plenty of local restaurants and shops
Pros: I appreciated the warm and smiling welcome at reception. Excellent room with efficient shutters for complete darkness. Breakfast was nice, with the right amount of choice. Location was ideal, close to great restaurants, and right between the main bus station and the ferry terminal.
Cons: Internet connection was unstable, especially in the evening.
Pros: Excellent value and quality inclusive 3 course evening meal. Wonderful lady at Reception so helpful in working out buses and planning our trip today.
Cons: Room dark and a bit depressing when sun had gone down. A lot of street noise. But in the end a very good dinner and (with help of earplugs) a very comfortable night’s sleep
La Colombina is in the heart of San Sebastian de la Gomera, within a 10-minute walk of Insular Infanta Cristina Auditorium and San Sebastian de la Gomera Harbour.
Pros: Fair price
Cons: Windows to the inside so the room was very dark. Quite small rooms and bathroom.
Pros: Nice staff, very positive and lovely, I would like to go there again! Great breakfast and dinner. Thanks for the service!
Cons: The wifi is a little bit weak, as my experience. I stayed in the five floor, maybe the wifi can not reach there very well. However, I would like to say, all the other things are extremely nice! Thanks!!
Cons: Nowhere to sit and relax. No soft furnishings sonoise carries. No plug in basin .
Pros: new and modern design close city centre, good breakfast, nice terrace
Cons: the window with the view at ventilation shaft, during day opening window made smell from the kitchen, problems with car park
Cons: On arrival the hotel was closed, I phoned a number on the door and waited for a man in his pj’s to let me in. Ordered a double bed, got twin singles. No curtains or bedside tables. Noise from the road from 5.30 am.
Pros: Space and design
Cons: Not one English TV channel ,all 40 were Spanish. At least Euro News in English should be available.
Pros: A very pleasant small hotel in the wonderful city of St Sebastian in Gomera away from the crowds and bustle on the main island of Tennerife. Friendly service in breakfast room ,throughout the hotel, and St Sebastian.
Pros: clean hotel, excellent quiet room at the back of the building. good complete breakfast.
Pros: Location was perfect
Cons: it all good.
Pros: 15 minute walk from the ferry in old part of the Town
Cons: nothing to report all good
