Restaurant, breakfeast and dinner The bed was very bad. The matress was very old, with the shape of bery heavy the bodies marked on it, making almost an "hole". It was really terrible.
I like the old traditional wood beams & flooring and there was a beautiful view of the valley from the restaurant and from the rooms. The hotel location required a car to visit nearby towns.. restaurants, shops etc.. The first double room they gave us wasn't up to scratch but the staff were friendly and helpful and sorted the situation out without problems.
Rate could have been a little bit lower as it was off season.
location , view , breakfast good. restaurant food was poor, did not get what was ordered
Nice view, nice restaurant (great food), simple and cozy English is an issue; also (among others) i was really angry when a lady (the owner?) asked me to leave the breakfast room as she would need the table - i finished breakfast and was with my laptop next to the window - and there were about 15 empty tables!...you see it is a family business with no professional training in the hotel business; if you are used to travel you would get annoyed.
Location is good. We left for dinner and we came back at 22h30. The door was locked. We ringed, we phoned, we banged on the door for more than 20 minute until finnally someone came and opened the door...
Good location to Cortina. In general the staff were welcoming and helpful. They were understanding when we cut our stay short by one night because of the weather. The bathroom had a hand held shower over the bath and no shower curtain. This was inconvenient. The barman was off hand and not very helpful.
The quiet room, quite apcious with nice view.Good coffee with breakfast, pleasant dining room.Public area decor old fashioned but attractive. Room decor very dull and quite depressing really.Could be much improved with a slight makeover.Didn't like the 'hard on the main road' location,
I liked the view of the hotel. They couldn't speak any language, except Italian !!!
The dining room downstairs provided a warm atmosphere and the food was very good and representative of the region. Room was very small. The bed was too firm with a very small shower facility.
Superb hotel, comfortable rooms, excellent staff. A good mix of contemporary and traditional architecture . I did not try the restaurant but feel sure it would have been good. I look forward to staying there again next year
evrything was ok.
Wonderful hotel, in a top location (in town centre in the middle of a pieceful park). The staff was very helpful and friendly. I tried the restaurant, which was excellent. The indoor pool and the spa facilities were lovely. I would definitely stay here again!
Wonderful position: central but away from the main road with its many cars. Suitable for children (but no mini-club), beautiful view of the mountains. The spa-area, though enjoyable, could have been larger, and there is no outdoor swimming pool. Swimming pool a bit warmer (say, 32°-33°) would have benne appreciated. No towel-cloaks included.
Staff were very welcoming and hospitable. Room was clean with the perfect view onto the lake.
The only complaint is that the restaurant was not open, as it was low season. Sometimes we felt it would be nice to have a place to dine, without having to leave the hotel. But this is a minor flaw, as there were very nice restaurants on the road to Cortina.
Advertised (free) wireless internet was not working (computer at the hotel reception is the only option). I would suggest to make it working or else take text "Wireless internet is available in the entire hotel and is free of charge" away from "hotel facilities".
The location is filled with Natural beauty and the hotel service is outstanding in the sense of friendly and very welcoming. Best if you know Italian as English is scarce. My stay was too short!
The room was big and comfort I was quite disappoint of their beakfast
Very central, close to Cortina (11 klm),amazing spa, brand new hotel,GREAT shower. If you can afford it book the suite..it has an amazing view at the mountain.Nice breakfast, value for money as it is cheap comparing the prices to book a hotel in Cortina, but close enough to go by car.Perfect choise! But be careful,if you need to put chains to the car,its not very close.. Nothing
Staff were pleasant and hotel was modern and very clean. Breakfast was good Everything was good
The staff were friendly and helpfull and the location was suitable for our needs in the area.
Good ratio between what you pay and what you get in this area.
Room was very well equiped and clean. Facilities very good and on site restaurant very good value. A bit noisy in the road side rooms.
Very nice hotel. The location is wonderful. The staff is friendly. The room was a bit small but comfortable. The reception is closed early, so it's a bit difficult if you arrive late at night or if you have a request. In our case, the room service had forgotten to leave towels in our room so it was a very embarrassing situation after taking a shower that night... We called in the morning and we got our towels. The breakfast was a bit light.
Great hotel. Very calm. The breakfast was good. The employee speaks a little bit in english The room was too small.
Location We were the only guests! Therefore the bar and otyher facilities were closed!
It was all good, friendly staff, very helpful, lovely views from hotel room. No tea/coffee making facillities in room - a kettle with some basic tea/coffee would have been great. Longer dining times for dinner 7:30 - 8:30 is very short perhaps 6:30 to 8:30 Also a greater variety of food on offer especially for vegetarians/pescatarians. A menu with prices left in the hotel room would deffinitely attract more dinner guest to their restaurant - the 3 nights we ate in the restaurant there were only ourselves and 1 other party at the most. Instead of a church in the hotel, a spa, sauna, pool, games room etc would be better
Excellent staff, good feeling in old nicely renovated hotel - around beautiful rocky mountains
it is set in a wonderfull area in direct contact with nature.
Very friendly staff, food was great and location was good too.
Excellent service, good facility, clean and welcoming, great value for money.
Mount veiw, SPA SPA is outside of hotel building
value no desk or chairs in room
Small rooms, dated 50's interior and only elderly italians as guests. Wanting to go to the swiming pool (1 km downhill) required payment for towels (EUR 1.50 each) and bathing caps (EUR 3 each).
The hotel's food, staff and food were fine. What was most interesting was the setting and history of the building and surrounding complex. It is a significant piece of modern Italian architecture and is fascinating to stay here for just that reason. It was built as a vacation complex for a large state owned Italian corporation complete with hotel, multiple villas, dormitories and even a large church, all of in striking contemporary architecture. The site is around ten miles from Cortina on a good highway taking only a few minutes. You are a little far from night life, but the trade off is you are in a beautiful forest and each room has a stunning view of the mountains with a balcony The only disappointment was that we had to pay for the use of the swimming pool during the period we were there and the cost was ridiculous around 20 dollars each for swimming. The municipal pool in Cortina is bigger and nicer and costs around a third of that. Apparently at some dates the pool is included in the cost of the room.
No internet connection available. You pay and did not work.
The right to use the spa facilities was included in the hotel price. There is a good selection of massage treatments and skilled staff. It was late in the season for snow, so we had to drive further north to do cross-country skiing, but it was all the more relaxing to return and spend the rest of the day at the spa.
Interesting architecturally. Lovely view from bedroom. Peaceful. n/a
the perfect accomodation to visit the amazing Cortina..definitely recommended..
