quality on every level no
Exellent restaurant and room. The area around the pool pleasant, well taken care of and delightfully undisturbed. The staff professional and very, very kind!!
Phenomenal service. Gastronomical meal. First rate facility. I highly recommend this peaceful oasis Absolutely nothing
nice surrounding, excellent facility, delicious food the address provided by booking.com is not be able to find by gps
Situation and room Quality of service poor. Food abysmal
This is a 4 to 5 star hotel with a 2 to three star service. Try to get the rooms on the lower floor because the terraces are big. It is a very nice hotel, quiet and with a spectacular view over the monastery which is a must see. Great breakfast too. Perfect location to relax. The staff was not very helpful in most cases but nice nonetheless.
The Facilities, and restaurant L'Angle are fantastic, great to have mon st benet and alicia beside, rooms were great, and staff helpful Poor choice of menu in restaurant mon, not much available
I found the hotel very good for a relaxing break. The staff and food were very good. The room itself was lovely and spacious especially the balcony . The toilet was dirty when we arrived (somebody had used it before us, things stuck to toilet bowl) and the floor had not been hoovered properly. Also when we arrived at the pool there weren't any towels and my husband had to walk to reception 3 times to convince them that there weren't any towels(36 degree heat) , they kept telling him that they were there , towels were then brought by reception staff.
The food was very nice - the staff extremely nice - the room was nice too - and quite comfortable. It was like a barracks - no privacy on the balcony - did not like all the dark passages - the pool area was not at all nice - the village was uninteresting
The hotel and the peaceful setting were outstanding. The food at the restaurant was some of the best that we had on our trip to Spain.
Air conditioning faulty. No sleep, no compensation offered by staff at checkout.
It was inexpensive for what I needed it for For being a supposed 5 star hotel the staff for the most part was rude and completely unhelpful. The room was nice and the food was excellent but it was almost an hour outside of Barcelona by train which was a complete bother. Very few of the staff spoke English. When I called from the train station and asked if the hotel had a shuttle they said "no, get a taxi" and hung up. All and all the experience has kicked Barcelona off my top ten places to see in it's entirety before I die.
Nice rooms; good communication with Barcelona by train and car; close by center of Terrassa. Unfortunately didn't have time to enjoy the beauty treatments (very cheap) Eating room could be cleaner. Parking is very expensive but if you are lucky there is free space in front. In the morning not enough personnel in the reception and they have to answer the phone too.
All the comfort The room was very cold
It was comfortable, however I would have liked to have had a complementary english newspaper to read in the restaurant whilst I waited for the courses to arrive espaecially as I was dining alone. As I filled the bath a piece of mould appeared in the water, I do not know from where, but needlesss to say I stuck to the shower instead.
close to old town ,unusual design
reasonable price, room was clean. None
There is no toilet brush in the bathrooms
In the evening, after the tourists left on the last tram down the mountain, the peace was amazing. It is an experience you cannot get on a day trip. Our only regret was that we could not stay longer, since we were catching a cruise ship the next day. The room was neat, clean, and comfortable. After flying from San Diego, peace of the mountain and a beautiful mass refreshed our spirits. We look forward to staying there again, but next time we will stay 2 or 3 days so we can explore the mountain.
We just loved this hotel. The rooms were clean and had the most comfortable mattresses. Very clean bathroom and some toiletries. The breakfast was adequate, wish they had had some more fruit options. We visited the Monastery and took the funicular up to the top of the mountain, with spectacular views. The location could not be better, right next to the Monastery, and we got to stay in the "old" rooms. The rooms do not have A/C and it was quite hot in September. We left the window wide open and were able to sleep just fine. It was noisy very early in the morning, a lift truck kept going back and forth.
Pleasant hotel at the Abbey Square up on the mountain Montserrat. Excellent view, Restaurant with Bib Gourmand i.e. good food for a reasonable price. Buffet breakfast with plenty of choice. We visited off-season and for everybody who wants to combine a bit of contemplation in the beautiful abbey where a boys choir sings every night after verspers with enjoying nature (well marked routes) it is a brilliant place to get away too. After visting Barcelona for three days, two nights at the mountain appeared a perfect short vacation.
Clossness to trails and to the church Having a tree block view from window and construction noise that went into night
The room was quite big. 1. We booked in advance the room with one king-size bed (not 2 beds). Inspite of it we received the 2 beds. 2. You have to use the outside parking about 1km (not the problem but still...)
In the center of the monastery of Montserrat, facing the cathedral, but it is a normal hotel.Staying at the hotel allows you to enjoy Montserrat also when it is quiet and peaceful- before and after the swarms of tourists.Breakfast O.K. You may drive to the entrance of the hotel to unload or load your baggage, but then you have to find a parking space in the parking lot, which is not so close. Saying that - there is a "train" to take you back from the parking and to it. Parking costs extra.
An excellent experience the hotel staff could not be more friendly or helpful. plenty of parking and easy access. We used the hotel restaurant and the 30e menu del dai was superb. Best steak that I have eaten for a long time.
Friendly helpful multi-language staff, fabulous breakfast included, updated bath/shower, great daily menu for dinner in the restaurant, piano in lobby No drawers for storing belongings - only shelves, no wireless internet (but wired internet was ok) in rooms, no business/conference room for group meetings
in that hotel the best thing was breakfest and good spain wine very poor wifi network
The attention from the staff and the clean of the rooms. the parking area and the security outside at nights
We only stayed for 1 night. This was a stop off for us after arriving at barcelona airport before leaving the next morning for andorra. It was convenient for us.
English spoken. Good breakfast. I have stayed there 3 times now and it is very difficult to find. Every taxi driver gets lost.
It was very nice. We stayed for 2 nights and we had no problems. Wi-fi ok, beds ok, tv, everything....
Nice hotel for young people. Who travelling on car it´s best choice
Polite, friendly staff No irons. 24 hour notice required to iron a shirt - had to go out and buy one
Clean, helpful staff and excellent value for money, 20mins from the circuit de catalunya No
the hotel was a very convenient stop over on our way to andorra from Barcellona airport.
spotlessly clean, friendly helpfull staff, good weekend price.
The views from the room, and the peaceful surrounding. The bathroom was not well maintained and clean. You can't open a window, as there is no A/C the room was hot during the night.
Pleasantness and helpfulness of the staff. Excellent food and price. Proximity to Montserrat. Hotel rooms generally need an upgrade. Carpets were stained, tiles missing on balcony, chips in washbasin.
It was clear that this was a conference/training centre that offered odd nights as a hotel to fill rooms. The dining arrangements were poor (eg. dinner was a buffet served only between 8:30 and 9:00 pm with very limited choice of poor quality.) Thelift was out of action when we checked out. We had hoped to use public transport into Barcelona but the hotel is too isolated for anything other than using a car to be practical.
The location is great, ideal for a weekend retreat
The staff was friendly. Pool was nice. Hotel was hard to find. Apereance was too blank. Not much things to do, only for sleeping. First room that we got was not cleaned.
The hotel was so quiet. It felt like we had the pool just for us. The mountain in front of the balcony, the sun. You really need a good map, not a GPS to find the hotel. It's not indicated at all, but manageable to find still. The carpet was really old.
Nothing. We left after 1 night as we had to return home due to family emergency, but i think we would have moved from this place had we been able to stay in spain Location of hotel is wrong side of mountain to easily visit monastery in montserrat. Difficulty finding hotel.Carpets snd ceilings on 1st floor filthy with evidence of leaks.Painters and work being carried out as you try to find room. Room overwhelmingly hot as there was no air-conditioning or fan provided, therefore unable to sleep at night. No restaurant or food available when we arrived, breakfast very poor. This was the worst experience i have ever had when on holidays.
Setting. Would not like to stay more then one night.
Calm quiet and peaceful setting, hills and mountains and woods around, in a suburb about one kilometer from the highway, close to the mountains and Montserrat abbye, about fourty kilometers or half an hour drive from Barcelona, ask for a room overlooking the swimming pool. If You like the atmosphere of a conference place, maintenance dating back from the 1980's, very much needing restoration, and no good restaurant in about five kilometers, and the nearest historical town about fifteen kilometers away ...
The location was very convinient, all services we were waiting of offered, pool good evenso closed on the morning, we would have used it since it was summer and we were tired visiting and travelling. There is no air condition in the rooms, the windows could not stay open because of electrical light in front of the balconies.
