Yasmin and Ricardo were very good hosts and tour guides. We went to the Caribbean with them one day. They showed us toucans in the wild and taught us about Panama and helped us with our Spanish. We had a really enjoyable day with them as they are both wonderful people.
Helplful and very nice owners, excellent staff, good wifi, convenient parking, village center quite close, pretty garden, coffee maker, good rates and more
No hot water, difficult to shower in cold cold water.
The hot water in the shower was not working at the time We were there
I am going to be interested to see if my entire review is included. In the past, this site has removed any negative comments and only included the positive feedback. Marco, who was the only staff we saw, was excellent. He was helpful in our room selection and checked in with us a few times to see if we needed anything This is a hostel, not a hotel. The name is actually Yasmin Rainforest Hostel, not hotel. The main attraction for us was the pool, which was nice to have on the warm afternoons. It was refreshing with both sun and shade around it. The rooms were fine and basic. There is no a/c, but they provide fans which worked fine for October. No hot water. We did read this in one of the reviews so we were prepared. It made for a fast shower. The room and bath were very clean and the bed was comfortable. The WiFi signal was very good and there was a TV in the room. There are not any restaurants or shops within walking distance. We did eat breakfast and dinner at Cafe Dorado. It is on your right as you first come into town. Try their fried bread, hojaldras, for breakfast. You won’t be disappointed. Their chicken was some of the best we have had in Panama, and we live here! The area around Santa Fe is breathtakingly beautiful! We enjoyed our stay and absolutely loved the area! This was a fine, no frills place to stay.
Great Location in a beautiful part of Panama. Pool was refreshing, as was relaxing in the hammocks. Coffee machine in the room was good and the beds comfortable.
Lack of kitchen or cooking facilities.
