Great location, wonderful staff! Excellent value for money. Dog friendly modern comfortable hostel. Friendly staff. Good budget choice. Nice restaurant with good food on ground floor. So close to beach. English options. Beautiful part of Santander. Across the road from a lovely beach. Restaurants below. Clean and well maintained. I felt very safe and slept well. The bed was very comfortable. Lucinda was very hospitable. Great and very helpful staff. Clean, has a ceiling fan and very comfortable mattresses. Located within 2 blocks from the biggest city beach of Santander. Free street parking was available in the area as well. The room itself was sufficient, and had everything I needed. Wi-fi was strong enough to support working remote. Lovely rooms, good size. Very close to the beach, shops bars. Perfect for a short stay! Local restaurants at doorstep. This was also where breakfast was served. Beautiful beach nearby. Reception staff friendly and helpful. WiFi worked well. Location superb but the outstanding and most important feature was the friendliness of the staff. Staff were very helpful. It is very close to the beaches, the room and place were very clean. Nice room and nice friendly staff. Great location near the beach, there was a nice bar downstairs where we found an excellent breakfast in the morning. Staff were friendly and helpful, rooms were clean, good central locations, plenty restaurants and located two minutes from the beach. Very good service and friendly. Not enough towels. Basic breakfast but well priced. Shower wasn't brilliant but did the its job. They haven't offer breakfast. Air conditioning in room. External door to room was temperamental to say the least! Had to leave the room open because lock faulty. Had to leave room open insecure to get breakfast! Door to bathroom would not close or move at all! Very noisy neighbours. Expensive. Small bed. Unfortunately there was no air con in our room just a super slow ceiling fan that didn’t help cool the room one bit. Nothing, all was good. A 15 euro charge for bike storage which was not mentioned when booking is really annoying. In a nosy area with broken facilities. The rooms were a bit dated and can use a bit of improvement. The room was incredibly stuffy with very little ventilation. It was almost as though the bathroom was in the bedroom as it was simply in the corner, sectioned off by frosted glass walls and a sliding door. The bathroom also had very poor ventilation/none. There was no fan. Given the numerous trips to and from the beach, a terrible odour ensued in the heat and it was almost untenable. It was incredibly hot in the room and there was little that could be done for reprieve. We spent 95% of our time in Santander avoiding the accommodation. Upon departure the staff were unfriendly. Small room. Badly designed shower door, with the pivot in the centre of it. Fortunately I'm slim so was able to squeeze in and out of the shower. The fan on top speed did not keep room cool, ( outside was 22-25 C max ). Worst of all though was the customer service. The lady at reception : at 8am I asked her to order a taxi for the airport for 9am. It hadn't arrived by 09.15. She was very poor at keeping me informed about what was going on. She phoned the taxi company but didn't tell me the result, and she disappeared for 10 minutes without providing any info. That was very stressful and entirely avoidable if she'd just told me what was going on. Very poor customer service. She seemed like she'd entirely lost interest. In the end I went to stand out in the street myself in desperation to see if I can flag down a taxi myself , as by then I was seriously concerned that I would miss my flight. Tiny room, tiny shower, tiny bed. No hairdryer or toilet brush. No air-conditioning, no fan. Noisy machinery outside as we had to keep the window open for some air. Extremely poor value the money, over €150. We've stayed in better hotels for ½ the price! Fan not sufficient to cool the room. Room small, felt cramped. Not enough hooks on wall to hang things like towels. Shower door was very badly designed - it swung in the middle. Luckily I'm slim so was able to squeeze into the shower. N/a. Very small room over priced. Toilet so small my knees were against the wall opposite, had to sit on the pan then swivel onto the seat. Very noisy during the nigh hours. Lack of breakfast. This is happening in a lot of budget hotels, they have used COVID as an excuse to get rid of breakfast. A little bit of late night noise but manageable. Room was a bit small. If you have a room facing the street it can be a bit noisy if you are a light sleeper or want to sleep early, it didn’t bother me too much although this could be an issue for other ppl. Bathroom door didn't quite close and bathroom walls are a bit see through. Small room.
