The Mission Inn is a beautiful, historic hotel located in downtown Riverside, Ca. The lobby and restaurants are lovely. The hotel staff is courteous and accommodating. The carpet throughout the facility appeared old and dirty, especially on the stairs behind the registration desk. The rooms definitely need freshening up. NOT what I expected for more than 200.00 per night. I was disappointed.
Loved everything especially the spa and personal service.
Architecture My room on 1st floor. View of hosepipes out the window. Very noisy at night from hotel bars below. Terrible location of the room and for the money I paid I expected so much better. Very disappointing experience.
Downtown riverside idiot started leaf blowing at 5am
needed a little getaway and MI did not disappoint more towels at the pool
It was a beautiful historic hotel in the heart of downtown Riverside. The staff was wonderful! We ordered room service out last night there and the food was delicious. We only wish we had more time to enjoy the amenities! Everything was wonderful!
The building and ambiance is incredible. Their decorations at Christmas are a sight to see. Walking distance to many restaurants and bars. The restaurants and bars at the hotel were truly outstanding. The check in and check out was horrendous. If the building wasn't so nice, that would be enough not to come back. The employees at the front desk weren't the most pleasant of people to interact with.
For cost of hotel they should have free WiFi in rooms
Staff was amazingly nice and everything made you feel on vacation. I was charged over $200 in "authorization fees" even after I had checked out and when I called to find out what it was for they told me they didn't know and it "should" clear within the next few days.
a most beautiful property. so many artifacts from so many different parts of the world. several restaurants on the property. the staff are helpful and polite. very early in the morning there was work being done outside my room that woke me up and lasted for at least an hour and a half. that was very annoying.
Not a lot to due near by leaf blower started outside a 5am
Our stay would have been perfect if we hadn't been assigned a room above the event hall. The music was so loud that the floor was vibrating below us intermittently from 6pm to modnight and we could hear every song, every scream, every time the DJ said something. I wanted to take a bath and knew I wouldn't actually be able to relax. We wanted to watch a movie but had a hard time hearing the television when the music came on. I went to bed early with ear plugs in. We called the front desk several times and they said they were unable to move us and unable to give us a refund so we could check into another hotel. My boyfriend took on the brunt of the conversations and he became super upset. I could feel his blood pressure had gone up when I held his hand. Though unable to offer us a solution they were very generous in their attempts to make our stay a positive one. They comped valet and also dinner at the hotel restaurant. The next morning we were able to enjoy the hot tub and pool. I would definitely stay here again but not on a weekend probably and I would absolutely call ahead of time to make sure there's no large events happening that include a DJ. Very, very loud music at wedding. It felt like our room was above a club.
The staff were really friendly. We ordered food from the restaurant downstairs and it was the most disgusting food hours can eat.
Only good thing is the proximity to downtown. We were woken up at 6 a.m by a fire alarm they couldn't turn off for over 30 minutes on my boyfriend birthdat (reason for the stay). After leaving the room for the day and coming back at 6 p.m we noticed the house keepers never even came. When we called the front desk to let thme know the situation wasn't addressed nor did they offer a solution. Plus we paid 24 dollars a night for self parking. Terrible time and accommodations at the Hyatt. Such a shame we will not be returning to this hotel.
The room was clean and spacious. The location was convenient.
Room layout We were upgraded Spacious room Pillow top bed that I could not get into. Glasses with the ice bucket were not wrapped at all and water spotted
I've stayed here several times now and always enjoy my stay. I was surprised and disappointed to discover that they started charging for overnight parking. I've never stayed at a hotel that doesn't allow someone to park there for free.
The hotel was generally clean in common areas and the room itself. Not luxurious, but very functional. We booked 2 queen beds and unapologetically were told only a single King was a available. I would have booked a different hotel and skipped the Hyatt. I got barely an apology and had a very unpleasent night in a room not suitable for my family.
Very clean, friendly staff, easy access to parking & local businesses. Would definitely stay again.
The room was a nice size. Two things I didn't like about my stay was paying for Internet. And they said I could only have one device on the Internet. I have a smartphone and a computer. It would have helped to both use Wifi. The other thing was they started cleaning the carpets for a room 2 doors down for the room I was in at 8:30 in the morning. Not a big deal but I was trying to sleep in and the machine was right outside my door. It was very loud. However, when I mentioned it upon checking out, they comped the Internet. So it made me feel better.
My daughter and I stayed one night while visiting colleges in the area. The price/room was as good as I've ever had (we did get a pretty good discount from hotels.com). Property and room were clean and well-maintained and the breakfast was better-than-average. Bonus at breakfast was a nice covered patio. I will stay here every single time I am in the area as log as the price doesn't creep too high. The free greeting cookie was a little dry -- just kidding! even the cookie was good.
What can I say but WOW! The staff was always friendly and went out of their way to make you comfortable and feel like one of the family. The rooms are very clean, comfortable and quiet (even with guests next door). Breakfast was great with made to order eggs. The lobby was warm, inviting and decorated beautifully for Christmas. You can't beat the location either. There's a mall just across the street with a bowling alley and very large movie theatre, grocery store just across the street as well. And if you're hungry there are so many restaurants to choose from within walking distance. Why would you want to stay anyplace else? There was nothing I didn't like.
They had all of the on site facilities that I could have wanted. I did laundry(they sold single serving detergent), for example. Very nice staff. Breakfast was standard hotel food except they had 2 people making omeletts(still crappy 6-9 am hours..). Considering I'm choosing to stay at a nice place I would have liked if that was more flexible, but I'm probably an outlier. The spa signups were not very comprehensive, mostly my fault though. I went in expecting to stay at a spa hotel where that was the focus, but I got a very nice hotel that happened to have a spa. Prices were expensive for spa stuff but I didn't sign up ahead of time and it wasn't well communicated, but that's mostly on me for not asking ahead. A small gripe.
Perfectly clean, custom omelette at breakfast. 1:30 a.m. Staff not friendly. Morning staff much more friendly. Breakfast omelette cooked to order. Cleanliness.
Cleanliness. Staff friendly. Good breakfast. Excellent wifi. Not many nights open at the bar.
Friendly staff, great breakfast and really nice over all stay.
Clean and quiet!!
Beds were to soft Cabinets / dresser old and venere was peeling - time for a remodel Staff upon checking had trouble scanning my credit card- staff asked for another credit card. Asked that the staff key in the card number- said they can not do it? Is this a Courtyard corp. policy?? Not happy from the get go...
beds! very restful sleep room size is very small
Super clean, close to nightlife, newly remodeled smaller rooms/bathrooms
Very clean, new-feeling, well-appointed rooms. Excellent, smooth bed linens. Great bedding: the only time I can recall any hotel's blankets being heavy enough! Also very nice that breakfast was included, tho' it was carbs only. Coffee was good. Would have been perfect with the addition of (even) hard-boiled eggs. Being right across from the ice machine & the office's night window (Rm. 17), it was too noisy if I left my window open. Was ok with the A/C running & window closed, though. Bed was a little too firm for my taste, but the great bedding more than made up for that.
Very comfortable beds. Surprisingly clean and modern. Very happy with the stay.
Breakfast was great!
Clean and comfortable
The hotel had great decor and the room was very nice. They had great ameneties and the location was perfect. Close to everything! We enjoyed our stay very much. The breakfast was the best hotel breakfast we've ever had traveling. The restroom floor was a little dirty but to be fair I'm very picky and am very particular with restrooms. We did have a problem with check in. We arrived just after midnight and they said my credit card was declined or no good. They kept saying I was giving them the wrong number and I used a different card when I reserved the room. I know what card I used. My card was fine and they accepted it. Then we ended up getting the wrong room. Two double beds and not the king we reserved. I think they had the wrong reservation . When I showed them my reservation, they fixed everything right away. I was happy with the outcome.
Staff was great. Breakfast was pretty good Bed was not so comfortable
I was really disappointed when I first got to our hotel. My husband and I were visiting for a fun weekend away, but when we got there I wished I had picked a different hotel. It wasn't awful, but the rooms smelt funny, everything was cheaply made, and the carpets were extremely old. Our coffee maker was broken, and the hair dryer was as well. The location was AMAZING, and that's the only reason why this place has a good rating. Their website is for their sister hotel, which is beautiful and overall a much better hotel. So I thought that was misleading. I also looked at their sister hotel prices (its right next door) and they were cheaper than what we had paid for the crappier one. If you're looking for a place to sleep, this is fine. But if you want to enjoy a weekend away, find a different hotel. Oh, and good luck getting cell service in your room. And the WiFi is awful, too. Smelt funny, horrible cell service, extremely slow WiFi, broken coffee maker in room, broken hairdryer in room, really outdated and dirty looking carpet. Not a single thing made me think, "That's cool!" or "Wow, this is nice." This isn't the place to go for a weekend away, it's best if you only need to sleep overnight and that's it.
The Ayres hotels are an excellent value for your money. There is nothing NOT to like at this hotel.
Loved the location and staff, very courteous and attended to the one flaw. Would stay here in the future.
nice and quiet
good location, room was always clean, quiet, plenty of venues for food and entertainment around. would definitely stay again. only headache was Sunday morning breakfast, had soft ball teams eating before checking out causing a backup at breakfast line. staff handled it amazingly well though.
Newly remodeled room. Nice wide shower. Decent water pressure. Somewhere in the wall, there was a loud dripping sound whenever shower ran upstairs. Breakfast has slipped! Quality was okay, but last year there was a very friendly chef making omelets to order. Now just prepared hot items. Sunday at 8:45AM, no fruit at all. No coffee creamer. Breakfast was a main reason for coming back here, versus one of the many, many other hotels nearby.
Location Tv did not work no towels or toilet paper in the room and it took two hours for the staff to bring any
Nothing The sheets were dirty and they ran out of towels
I liked the location The continental breakfast was a joke, room was super dirty. There was hair all over the sheets that didn't belong to me. The fans have never been dusted, looks like someone spilled something all over bed and down bed skirt. No water bottles anywhere.
The price was cheap and booking was easy through kayak Where do I even start. The rooms are listed as having a mini fridge and wifi. The room did not have a fridge and the wifi never worked. When I got to the front desk to check in the girl said that she couldn't check me in because the computer was frozen. She was waiting for some guy to come down and fix it. While I waited she started helping another guest who was asking questions about some credit card. The guy who was supposed to be fixing the computer so I can get checked in started helping that guest too. So no one was fixing the computer. Finally the computer was working and the girl didn't even bother to ask him how he fixed it so she can handle it herself next time. When I finally got to my room the door was open and when I went in it was not clean. There were no sheets on the bed and there was a box for a double sided dildo on the floor(I am not making this up). When I got to the elevator I told one of the maintenance workers what happened and he just looked at me like I was crazy. Next room I get moved to the floor above and the hallway smells like cigarette fortunately the room doesn't. Tried turning on the tv and there are no batteries in the remote so I have to call the front desk. When the maintenance guy comes up he fixes it. I told him about the wifi and he said he'll reset the router. I'm guessing he never did because the wifi still didn't work. Moral of the story you get what you pay for. The rooms are decent it's such a shame they could do so much more.
Didn't have microwave or fridge like my last stay
The room was dirty and the toilet didn't flush. So gross. The front staff was rude. Just awful
The softness of the bed, and tv Was not a full set of towels in the room, beds were too loose on the floor, Walls were crappie behind the beds, couldn't smoke in my room, not culturally balanced with the employees, service was very bland with no personality, felt like a FLOP HOUSE for slackers. No kind of real breakfast! We're adults, not kids, I expected a adult type meal and nothing but cereal and bagels with half stale pastries, and no bar tender.
Nothing Made my reservation over 2 months ago. They send an email asking for me to secure my reservation with a payment due to high demand. I do as they ask and provide a credit card. I arrive on my day of reservation to find that they are completely out of rooms. Nobody processed my payment. I am told there is nothing they can do since I was never charged for the room. So there I am in their lobby scrambling to find another hotel. This place is absolutely unfit to be a hotel. The management sucks. Also while looking for another hotel I overheard guests asking for towels. They were out of towels! They were going room to room asking for towels that were not being used! Horrible!
The staff was helpful and very kind to me even when I had a problem checking in (it was a fault of mine not theirs). The rooms are nice enough and was spacious. Seemed clean enough, except for when I looked up at the fan. Did not like that I come in and use the restroom to find that there is no towels, had to call housekeeping for them, also they must have just painted because there was paint on the floor and the outlets were missing their covers. The bathroom light was not sufficient enough for the size of the bathroom either.
Beds were comfy No towels in room. Neighbors kept doing a lot of noise. We call front desk a few times but they didnt do anything.
Location The hotel is very disorganized from the moment you arrive you can tell from the front desk chaos, something is very wrong here. It is very dirty and unmaintained. I'd stayed at motel 6 better then this. I even got over charged for my stay by $100 extra. Worst worst experience
Worse breakfast everp
We stayed in a king spa tub studio. The room was spacious, clean, stocked and all furniture was comfortable. Housekeeping observed the do not disturb sign for 2 nights and were easy to reach for anything we needed, Wendy at the front desk was a real pleasure, we were greeted with a sincere smile, a smooth fast and thorough cheek-in Thank You.
Everyone was friendly - the breakfast was very good the facilities were clean. I stayed two nights. When I got back to the hotel the second night, it was late, and when I opened the door, I saw that Housekeeping did not clean the room. I went down to the front desk and they gave me some towels and coffee packets for the morning.
Really enjoyed the large clean room and the bed was wonderful. The breakfast was good to start off the day! Will come again
Big rooms, comfortable beds, quiet, hot full breakfast. Some variety in the breakfast and longer breakfast hours would be nice. The maid took one of my key cards that are used to turn on and maintain the lights and AC. Several Lamps were not plugged in, one had nowhere to plug it in...
I loved everything about the hotel !
nada Made reservation for two nights. Called the front desk during the morning of my arrival date. Told front desk that I would be checking in late. Front desk said no problem. Front desk proudly said, "We do not cancel reservations!" I went to a gathering with friends. I had a midnight snack and enjoyed the food. I was in no rush, as my room at the Azure was waiting for me. I walked to the front desk, and the time was about 2:45 a.m. This was now into my first night stay, which was paid. I talk to Graveyard Roy, give him my id card, and tell him that I have a room, reservation for two nights. Roy told me that he completed an audit at 2:30 a.m, and that he cancelled my reservation, because I had not checked in. Graveyard Roy cancelled both nights! It had only been 15 minutes since Roy cancelled my room(s), so I simply asked Graveyard Roy to check me in, using the reservation he just cancelled. Graveyard Roy started pushing computer keyboard keys, clicking mice, and kept looking from one computer monitor to another. I gave him the benefit of the doubt, and thought maybe Roy was helping the nearby air traffic control tower, and landing jets. Nope. Graveyard Roy was lost! I heard the GPS navigation system in Roy's head continually say, "Re-Routing". I saw Roy scrambling, and heard him say aloud, "Lets see, lets see, lets see...." I had to finally leave the poor guy alone, and I walked away and out. The whole time hearing keyboard keys a clacking and mice a clicking. Pop Quiz,..Why does Roy hold a position on the Graveyard shift? Answer in the form of a question. Bye.
Nice hotel, clean comfortable rooms very good customer service
Room was nice and comfortable Late checkout only until 12 noon
Nice rooms Breakfast was a little lacking
I liked the comfort. The pillows aren't as steady and fluffy as the used to be. Not enough pillows on the bed. I had to request a room change, because ants were in our room. The irons were not operable. The first room, we had to request an iron. The replaced iron did not work. When we moved to the second room, due to ants, the iron of that room did not work. We had to end up going out to buy an iron. Room service was not good. The service took forever to show up, if they showed up. This has never happened, in my year and a half of dealing with Azure. Azure has always been responsible in the past.
Bed was a bit hard.
Clean and affordable. Rooms were very large.
Staff was friendly Lounge, bar, and piano area were relaxing. Carpeting in the outer halls. The room door had foot prints and scuff marks.
I had made reservations for a double bed and when I got there they only had a king size bed
I did like his hotel everything was really nice about it parking is really easy it was super close event I was going to my only complaint would be a they charge you $50 at check in now nowhere did it say it was charging $50 for checking in I called the office and complained about it because the $50 made my account go negative. And they did absolutely nothing about it which kind of made me mad.actually I'm still waiting for the $50 back and it's been five days that if it does Credit to my account soon I will never stay here again. That's the one thing that would make me not return to this hotel. everything is nice but beware of the holding fee.
My stay here was great. I have stayed at ALoft, just up the street a few time and after a few poor experiences I decided to stay at Ontario Airport Hotel. The staff was amazing and very accessible. The room was very clean and the location is perfect. The shuttle service that will take you around town for free was also a huge plus. This is where I will always stay from now on.
Upgraded room very nice, modern Front desk staff looked disheveled, was a bit rude.
Newly remodeled room Not a good area. People were fighting and yelling everywhere
Well, someone got shot... everybody got locked down. But the beds were comfy. That someone got shot.
The room was clean, comfortable and felt like i was staying at a four star hotel. Best value for the price.
Comfy bed and pillows. Clean. Good coffee in the breakfast room. Great location and value. Housekeeping staff was really nice. Would have liked real half and half for coffee instead of powdered.
location was the deciding factor. I booked a King bed for which a premium was charged, non-smoking room for which I had to sign a waiver ($100 if we violated). For one the room already smelled of smoke so we changed rooms, then the king bed was actually a queen (they argued that it is a standard king, and that there was no queens or standard booking option, which is clearly not the case, see kayak) therefore no money was refunded for the premium . It was extremely noisy, we could hear the neighbors and anything going on outside, the fridge inside the room made lots of noise (I unplugged it) and the AC unit did not really work (it was very loud as well and it was difficult to regulate, either it was on full power or off). The breakfast, they may as well not offer any, or call it something else. The staff was not helpful or accommodating at all. I would not stay here again.
I liked the location and it was a good value. On top of the quoted rate they required a $100 deposit that I won't get back for a few days. I thought this was odd.
It was a great deal for the price! Overall the room was great. Mostly everything was updated and the furniture was very comfortable. There was even a little basket with the toothbrush, razor, and other essential items.
Liked how comfortable bed was and cleanliness How far it was from Tyler mall
I liked the fact I was upgraded to the jacuzzi suite. The bed was also very comfortable with a good TV setup. There was no staff available to check me in when I arrived I literally had to seek someone out when I arrived. This occurred again upon leaving. When i would ask cleaning stag a question they didn't speak enough English to even understand this is not something which I'm opposed to however in a touristic setting where staff is already scarce I wasn't impressed. Also the vending machines had little options to begin with so when half the options including water was sold out I was ready to leave.
The room are excellent
Nice staff, clean rooms. Will definitely consider staying here again.
The woman who works behind the counter was nice. I don't know what planet the other reviewers for this place are on. I booked this room based on reviews, but was horrified when I drove into this motel. It is in a VERY SCARY part of town. There was a homeless man sitting outside one of the rooms the entire time I was there. It is right next to tattoo and massage parlors. Everything in the room was very dated and there was no outlet by the sink. I was by myself for this stay as I was attending a conference, so I was very uneasy all night.
Close to downtown area. Location.
Clean, big rooms. Relatively quiet. No restaurant on premises or near.
Reasonable price, Easy access, nice staff Pillows were poor. Bed comfort ok
Staff was friendly. Comfortable bed. Right near the mall and close to everything. I could walk over to grab Del Taco at 10pm if I wanted to Shower was kinda short. I'm 5'4" and it hit directly between my shoulder blades. We were also called one morning to wake up so that the cable company could upgrade the channels.
Loved the view of the mountains and palm trees. The best thing was I could open the window to get real air circulation. Clean grounds, the pool looked inviting but I didn't have time to take a dip. Everything is close by; mall, Starbucks, freeway, and every store you could ever need. Quiet too. The train close by was tolerable.
Check - in was a breeze. Rooms were clean. Bathroom was big. Continental breakfast served. Free Wi-Fi for guests. Iron and ironing boards in the rooms. Security teller window after hours
Kayaks rate was close to what this Radisson was worth. I was very disappointed in this Radisson. They hallways smelled of mildew and there was black mold in my bathroom. Seems like this would be something that would be checked before assigning it to someone.
poor service poor service and cold food
The staff was great! They were very helpful, attentive, and had great customer service. I liked that we got switched to a room close to a door on the first floor. my girlfriend has MS, so a long walk and stairs were too much for her at the end of the day. Unfortunately, there were some things that caught my attention. First off when my girlfriend and I were going to goto sleep. The sheets were stained, we called to see if they can send house keeping or switch our rooms. We chose to just have house keeping come, since we were all the way at the end of the hotel and didn't want to walk to the desk. She has MS and at the end of the day her legs aren't very strong, so the walk would of been a struggle for her. It took about 30 mins for house keeping to come and change the sheets. I also noticed that the doors had patches of different colored paint, rust in the basket in the tub and the mirror was cracked on the closet. Also, went to get water from the machines. The signs said the was a vending machine by the corner, but there were none there. Ended up walking all the way to the lobby, surprised the hotel didn't have a little store by the front desk like other hotels.
Old facility. Wifi didn't work
Great shower, comfortable bed and pillows, good temperature plenty of towels, big towels, huge closet, big room Room smelled like mildew, there was no chair at the desk in our room, there was a long hair in our sheets, there was a bug in between our pillows
The breakfast was great! Good location for the Fontana Races Things were held together with tape, we expected the planes but didn't know there would be a couple trains that went by late at night.
Nothing. They are fucking asshole that wont refund you if you need to cancel Fuck you!
The location is very convenient, close to many shops and restaurants, fast food and grocery stores. Staff is very friendly they gave me an extra card key when i forgot it in the room. Also when we checked out, we forgot a cellphone and we called to ask for it and they had it for us in the front desk. Big plus for that! Breakfast is very good too it varies from day to day. A few things I didn't like was that there was a red jelly stain in the carpet when we got there the first night. Also the wood part of the vanity mirror had a crack you cant avoid looking away. Closet space was tight, the layout of the room seem flipped around. I didnt feel like it was as clean as it could of been overall.
I loved how the entire room was built except for the wall between the couch and bed but overall everything was really nice and spacious. The TV was nice and big bed was comfy and warm. Couch was large with a foot rest and staff was rather very helpful and friendly. If I had to come back again I would. I enjoyed my experience here. I just didn't like how when my girlfriend and I went to shower one of the towels had a hair that was not ours already on it. Thought it was gross but other than that no issue.
The hotel was very clean the room was great better than what I expected definitely use this hotel again Nothing everything was good
Room was nice, comfortable bed, staff was friendly and the best continental breakfast I have ever had. I honestly have no complaints.
Excellent staff, very professional. Very accommodating, very comfortable. Was close to both freeways and shopping as well as restraunts. Fresh cookies and coffee 24 hrs a day. Starting the day with the free breakfast......the eggs bacon and patotieseach morning were restraunt quality. Extremely clean, tables and counters. I would and will stay there again.
The hours of breakfast. I had to work, and had to leave before the breakfast was available.
Clean nice good breakfast When I checked in I was not told about the free breakfast The towel rack in our first floor room fell off The toilet tissue holder keep coming loose
location parking after dark was kind of scary, felt isolated
Loved outlet mall and nearby food options to walk to. Friendly staff. Nice rooms. Breakfast wasnt great. Ants in bowl with peunut butter packets turned me off for the day.
