Very helpful staff, a clean, comfortable room in a pleasant village setting.
We particularly appreciated the restaurant cuisine: the food's quality was very good and the way the dishes were prepared was excellent. Moreover the Gasthof lays in a very good position, that is in the centre of Appenweier, in a beautiful characteristic landscape surrounded by green hills.
Nice family-run hotel with very good typical German/Alsatian food. Lovely garden which we weren't able to enjoy since it was raining. Wonderful countryside! Free parking and breakfast. Rooms a bit dated, no AC.
very nice and friendly staff, nice breakfast, very beautiful village, very easy to reach strasbourg it was quite cold in the room although heating was working; the room was very basic with old furniture
Very pleasant! There were a party in the town. The hole town were decorated and live music everywhere. Nothing similar in Finland! Good stuff. Good bed. -
Regret was that I didn't allow longer at this hotel. A must to revisit.
Such a beautiful place, lovely garden to sit in Booked as they had vegetarian selections on the menu and we wanted to eat in. The restaurant was closed both nights we were there even though the sign said it should have been open. No explanation given and as the area is removed from anywhere we had to travel to eat.
Hospitality and service
Situated in a remote very quiet village. No central heating in the bathroom !! The restaurant was closed on a Thursday, but you had another gasthaus 200m away.
Friendly personnel, breakfast, location (quiet), parking the room was not so warm (the weather outside was 1 to 5 degrees) and the heat was not enough... i don't know why.
Simple style, nice surroundings of Black forest, good breakfast and friendly people. More decoration in the room
Nice comfortable room and a fine breakfast. It would have been nice if they had shampoo and body soap. The people talking in the corrider were a bit noisy.
The facilities are beautiful, the bed was exceptional, everything was excellent. I wish we could have stayed a week!
Beautifull decoration. Charming garden. Nice staff (but they don't speak english).
The cosy and friendly atmosphere including very nice and helpful staff. The hotel itself is a real gem, with rooms in old style qand a nice garden. The french-influenced breakfast was very good, but I had preferred some other ham etc. as well.
Situation was excellent, traditional gasthaus. Friendly staff in traditional dress. Good food. They do not accept credit/debit cards, so make sure you have cash.
Absolutely excellent service of the staff, we were delayed on arrival until after 21:00. Staff could not be more helpful in helping us settle in and cooking a meal for the three of us.
The place is beautiful, located in a nice village. The breakfast very nice. The stuff spoke English. I enjoyed my stay very much!
New hotel, rooms are big and clean. Good location. Parking at airport parking for night costs 11 €.
Good location and staff.
Ideal hotel if you travel by plane as located in front of the airport. The manager is very helpful and kind Breakfast is a little bit poor compared to the extra you are charged with
I liked the relaxed atmosphere in the hotel and the peace and quiet reception should be open until after 10pm to allow customers which come on late flights enough time to check in
Conventiently located just opposite the airport. Very difficult to get there with public transport - taxi quite expensive.
Large and clean rooms equipped with new (and good) furniture A bit far from the city centre
Very good hotel, good sound, comfortable beds and clean.
This hotel is exactly in front of Baden Airpark. It has a good relation between price/quality It is a good idea to have a car to visit Baden-Baden and the surroundings. The hotel is 18km from Baden-Baden which is a lovely little thermal town.
It is great to get out of the shower practically opposite the departure gate! I holiday in Schonmunzach, but it is too far to travel back to the airport for a 10am flight, so I travel down the night before and stay at B&B. It is cheap and cheerful! A beer costs €1.50 in the vending maching and I can get a pizza delivered; brilliant! I had no signal on my Irish mobile, so I had to keep going out the front door to make and receive calls! Buts thats hardly your problem!
Nähe zum Flughafen,24h-check-in,Sauberkeit in den Zimmern, Schallisolierung Komfort der Zimmer,Zimmer sind zu teuer fur
Practical to a family. Breakfast is very good. Reception is closed at 10 PM, and none of the staff is present. We had only two towells in the room for a family of 4 persons.
Exellent hotel and service, staff spoke better english than me!
Family run hotel with a real personal touch. Staff were very happy to assistus with directions to places of interest. Thaey were also very helpful with translating the menu for us as we are not native German speakers. Room was very spacious, clean, and we had beautiful views. All staff were very friendly! We would definitly return some day!
Comfortable and clean family room, friendly staff, nice views of the vineyards in a quite pretty village.
The owner and host of the hotel was extremely pleasant and ensured that he made his guests feel as comfortable as possible. In addition, the owner spoke excellent english. The rooms were modern and well furnished with higher quality furnishings. The on site restaurant provided excellent food at reasonable prices. Overall, the hotel was extremely comfortable and was located in a little hamlet only a kilometer or two off the beaten path....but seemingly worlds away.
We arrived late in the evening and the service we received was excellent, the staff was very friendly and spoke english. I would defenetly recommend this hotel for families with children. no.
The helpfulness of the staff particularly as we were not German speakers. The atmosphere in the hotel and in the dining room
My family found this a comfortable and welcoming hotel in an excellent location, with a good, filling breakfast all at a reasonable cost.
The location is fantastic. Facilities, service and food were superb. We used the hotel as a stop over on our way to Italy. Could not have been better
Fabulous quiet hotel in the country, used as a stopover en route from Italy to Calais and this was an ideal place to relax. Family run business with very friendly and helpful staff. Only complaint was that the bowling alley was fully booked so we couldn't play - perhaps we should have reserved it when we booked the hotel!
Extremely helpful staff and a good standard room for the price.
morning breakfast poor compared to its cost bed cover not confortable
we came from far away ,from Israel,we had a very nice time at the hotel, the owners are so nice and kind, and everything was just great. If we will be in the area again,we will surely come again to stay there. No
Close proximity to freeways. Used as stop-over on trip.
Lovely owners. Well placed for trians from Baden-Baden to Strasbourg. Ground floor was seperate Chinese Restaurant (very good though!)
Close enough to the highway. I have found a cigarette in the bathroom ashtray.
The couple who owned it was very nice.
Staff friendly, good location Have stayed twice, the first time the room was very small but this one was very spacious, maybe should be different pricing?
Stayed at hotel on our return from Austria by car, it was midway on our route through Germany to Calais. We would stay there again, but had hoped that an evening meal would have been provided. The breakfast, however was excellent.
It felt just right, a nice family athmosphere.
Wonderfully friendly staff. The food was wonderful and the whole place is first class. I'd recommend this place to anyone. No
Great food, good atmosphere Breakfastselection was not in line with the expactation coming from the dinner
close to high way, good for overnight stop. Nothing else.
Very comfortable, great beer and excellent food
Wonderful hotel & staff. Great restaurant & food. We chose it for it's convenient position for Karlsruhe/Baden airport 15 minutes away and stumbled on an absolute jewel.
The restaurant food was excellent and good value.
Although we only stayed one night and arrived very late, the staff were very accomodating and arranged food and drink for us. The inclusive breakfast was varied and good quality.
We enjoyed our one night stay at Kohlers - our room was exceptionally clean and non-smoking (high priorities for us). Staff was friendly and spoke English (we do no not speak much German). The restaurant food at dinner was very good and well presented. Breakfast was very good and plentiful. Dinner service was a bit long - but perhaps this is customary in Germany. Attempted to use their internet login and password provided but it did not work; asked desk staff and they offered use of their business internet for 10 minutes, but could not figure out how to use it and staff was busy. It would be helpful to have better written directions for accessing the internet - we did not pursue it since we did not want to tie up the staff for more assistance and it was only a one night stay.
size of room, friendliness of staff across the street from a church with church bells. Room faced the street and there was a lot of traffic. Bed was typical german bed with hard twin mattresses.
We enjoyed again the excellent kitchen. We liked the well chosen interior of the hotel. it is a pitty that the ladies serving in the restaurant do not have their local dress any more. It added to the creation of a romantic admosphere in the restaurant. The lady serving the dessert (cheese) was not able to explain the kind of cheeses served and could not recomment which what cheese or start eating.
it is a beautiful hotel, situated in a marvelous environment (wineyards). The service is excellent. No SPA facilities.
furniture and decor of the room
This hotel is one of the few hotel which a room for 5 people, which was ideal for my family of 3 kids, so it saved us having to book 2 rooms. This accomodation was spacious too and with nice views. Presently there are ongoing road works in front of the hotel which makes the area noisy especially in the morning.
We arrived quite late on in the evening and the Hotel were very keen to accomodate us to provide us with some food. Fantastic Service!
Food was very good.
Food was of very good standard for the money charged for the evening meal we had
Clean and spacious room, great breakfast We did not like the earth works which started early in the morning outside our room. It was a bit of a trek to our room, and the staircase nearest our room was blocked with bedding, which would have been a major problem if there was a fire.
Sitting on the room's balcony relaxing with a drink and enjoying the view/
The staff went out of their way to be helpful and obliging. There is a new road being built in front of the Hotel . The noise from the site was a bit much as work went on until after 1900. the road will be in a tunnel so when all is back to normal it should be fine.
food was very good and the staff were excellent we had some slight reservations about the room initially (there was a wedding going on at the same time which confused the issue) but we were later offered a better room by the owner when a cancellation took place. Although we did not take up the offer we appreciated the trouble they took
The Staff were very helpful and the breakfast was good. There was an area for outside dining; good on a hot summer evening. It was a bit dated and there was no lift. There was no food available after 11.00pm.
Very friendly staff, modern and nice lounge bar, perfect room with nice small balcony, beautifull area between the wine makers, good parking. There are 3 different restaurants in the hotel but due to the holiday season only one was open. This restaurant served typical german dishes, good but a bit too expensive in my opinion.
We arrived late but the welcome was friendly nonetheless. The room was large, extremely clean with wide windows. The beds were comfortable. In the morning we discovered a very nice landscape of vineyards and the village below the hotel. Breakfast was very good including an egg. Good choice of bread also. It is a bit difficult to find at night
Great Hotel with amazing view. Nice breakfast included in the price. Very friendly wife and husband operation.Clean and nice room. A great stay.
Beautiful view on Renchtall, quiet site, kind stuff no
Nice hotel with a great view
Staff very friendly and helpful could not do enough for us, we were travelling as group on bikes, very courteous with parking etc. Food amazing mostly local products really good chef ( Owner ) Rooms clean and comfortable. Views over vines just wish we could have satyed longer. Would highly recommend The road up to the hotel is a little steep and windy, but this is what gives it such a lovely locational view
Family run hotel, nothing too much trouble, everyone helpful
The location, the friendliness of the staff and owners and the food The steep car park!
Exceptionaly good food
An extremely friendly hotel with excellent staff and accommodation. The comfort room we occupied was enormous with a balcony and separate seating area. Fresh fruit was placed in the room each day. Breakfast was a very good spread of cereals, bread, cheese, cold meats and fruit. We were given a jar of their homemade jam on deparyure which was a ovely touch. Would definitely recommend this hotel and will hopefully stay again in the future.
Beautiful outlook, good food and service and friendly staff.
The hotel is in traditional style. Our room was spacious + comfortable. The staff were very helpful and the kitchen was excellent. They even made me a birthday cake.
Calm and relaxed atmosphere, big rooms, sufficient parking space Breakfast was good but could be more varied, no wifi when I was there, as "(momentarily) not availiable".
Free parking Clean Helpful owner (when not busy and stressed) A little dated, but not run down
Wlan, though weak net, but free of charge. Wery friendly staff. Interior old fashioned, but everything worked, including bed springs and pillow. No door from the breakfast room onto the terrace (I smoke).
Its a nice place to stay and you can expect good value for your money. I thought that the menue prices where a bit over the top for a three star hotel.
Location closes every day between 14:00 - 17:30
Friendly service and excellent food.
Convenient location, friendly staff Could not connect to the internet
Good kitchen and good service.
Pretty traditional hotel, comfortable good-sized room, excellent dinner, average breakfast. Nothing negative at all !
Super location, friendly staff, good menu and very efficient.
cosy and friendly, good size room, nice views from the balcony. bed was a bit hard and not enough pillows.
Excellent location. Lovely spacious room. Staff brilliant - nothing too much trouble.
Food at the hotel was good for dinner. Breakfast was a good selection. Very little English - which made it difficult to communicate.
Food was excellent, good choice and well presented. Public and dining areas where excellent, Staff were friendly and helpfull. Allowing dogs in the restaurant.
Lovely small hotel situated in small village surrounded by vines. Very quiet location & we really liked it for that. Good location, only 25 minutes from Strasbourg & near to Baden- Baden, Black Forrest etc. Room was very comfortable. Staff very friendly, although none spoke English so remember to take a German / English dictionary if you do not speak German. We would definately stay again if in the same area again.
The nice surroundings
We wondered around, visiting cultural sites including a castle and some wine and fruit farms. we also visited towns around and went shopping.
good location, spacious room, large balcony, nice view, friendly staff
The hotel personel was very friendly and we enjoyed our dinner in the restaurant. The breakfast was also very good. Hotel is located about 20 km from Strasbourgh. The room was a bit cold. There is no elevator in the hotel which didn't bother us.
