Cons: Nothing
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Great owner, the best breakfast we have had so far during our trip, astonishing view, easy to reach by car. Do not worry about the road as mentioned in some other reviews. There are 150m of non-tarmac road right before you arrive at the property that any average car could cope with, unless you drive a sports vehicle - if so please avoid. I would return there anytime, really enjoyed our stay there.
Cons: Nothing to do with the room, but nearby Scopello was a bit of a let-down. Mostly private = non accessible. The rest of the area that is accessible, is a 100% tourist-run "village" that cannot compare with the outstanding beuty of Sicily in general.

Pros: We spent nearly a week at the B&B and enjoyed it a lot. The location has a great view to the beautiful landscape around the Castellammare Bay. This area is a good starting position to visit many points of interest in the northwest of Sicily. The place is quiet, the rooms are lovingly furnished and the breakfast is served by Lucio with diverse sweet and sour homemade products every day. We are thankful to the host Lucio, who is a very kind person, he gave us helpful hints for visiting spots many times. Definitely a place to come back again!

10.0 Excellent
Pros: The location and staff are fabulous. The room was a good size with a nice bathroom. Always very clean. The grounds were immaculate, and we loved the pool area. Breakfast was excellent, such a vast array of food and the view was spectacular. We loved the music playing too! We ate in the restaurant some nights, and that was a great experience and good value. Thank you so much , we hope to be back one day!
Cons: It would have been helpful if there was an information booklet in the room, as it is always good to learn about local areas. Apparently there was a private beach, but we didn't know this! Also, the coffee and tea should be replaced automatically. Only very minor issues though, as it was an amazing place to stay!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Room had absolutely everything you could possibly need, even toothbrushes and combs, dressing gowns, slippers, hairdryer and magnifying make-up mirror . Beautiful pool and pool bar, comfortable loungers, magnificent gardens and views over the sea to die for! Pros: The villa is located in a very quiet area with spectacular views of the golfo di castellmare. It is excellently situated for the Tonnara, Reserva di Zingaro and Scopello. Diana and Alessandro were very friendly and provided a lot of good information to us and gave us some outstanding support with an issue we had.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: View is amazing, breakfast big and really tasty, if your main purpose of the stay is the national park this is the place to be. Rooms are big enough, and clean. Definitely I will be back!

9.3 Excellent
Pros: Everything excellent, although shower could have had a shelf, and there could have been extra pillows
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Very modern; spectacular view; breakfast was generous and good; the only downside was that our non sea view bedroom did not have an outside window so was a bit prisonlike. Reason for staying was Zingaro Nature reserve. Need to be careful about spotting sign for Anfore. NB cannot go via Scopello it self; need to go via coastal road
Cons: Nothing really apart from the weather! Rained first morning

Pros: One of the nicest places I've stayed at. The place is simple but clean and very roomy. The staff were incredibly friendly and gave many tips. We had the best view of the village from the room. The breakfast was top class for being in Italy. also a nice breakfast terrace.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Amazing host. Ready to help even within her own private time. Good breakfast. Beautiful views and spotlessly clean.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: We loved our stay here, in the Deluxe Double Room. This was a large, sunny room with a balcony (with spectacular sea views and even a clothesline!), plus a window that looked out over Scopello's famous view point. All day long people would walk here to take pictures at this gorgeous spot, and we were lucky enough to see it whenever we liked. The room was clean and comfortable. Adding to our pleasure was the amazing service of the manager/hostess Madhu. This lovely young lady took such good care of us. She offered sweet or savory breakfast, served at a time of our choice. We chose savory, and enjoyed scrambled eggs with a platter of ham, cheese and tomatoes, plus bread, yogurt, orange juice, a bowl of fresh fruit, and delicious cappuccinos. We did not have a car, so we spent our first day walking around the village. We wanted to visit Zingaro Nature Reserve, but did not think our knees could manage the walk there, plus the 7 km hike, and then walk back. Madhu strongly believed we should see it, so she drove us in her personal car! That was service above and beyond. She also recommended a great restaurant, Bar Nettuno. Just a short walk from the b&b, this restaurant has several menus and will serve anything from any menu any time of the day. So we had omelettes for dinner on our first night (queasy stomachs from a full day of travel) and subsequently worked our way through the menu to delicious grouper on our final night. Between Madhu's generous breakfasts and Bar Nettuno, in Scopello we had some of the most satisfying meals of our entire trip.
Cons: The bed had a down-filled duvet, which some people would count as a feature, but I'm allergic to feathers. This was not a problem -- we took it off the bed and put it in a closet, and used a blanket we found there instead. But I just mention it in case you're allergic to feathers, so you can ask to have it removed in advance.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: very quiet location and excellent breakfast with delicious homemade jams. thank you Manu
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful place with a view of the sea, small hotel maintained with a personal approach and love
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Excellent host, very helpful. Felt like staying with family. The views from the balcony were exceptional.
6.8 Good
Pros: This is well located B&B in the quaint hamlet of Scopello. It is within very good walking distance to the main square with bars and restaurants, although be aware parking is at a public car park which charges 5 euro's a day. We had the family room (although it was just my husband and I), but which offered the most amazing views across the coast. You could see people of an evening walking up to the vantage point below our room to enjoy the views and take photographs, whilst we enjoyed it from the privacy of our own terrace with a glass of wine. Worth paying extra for. Breakfast is nice, sat on the downstairs terrace again with lovely views. On the first day the owner offered us a range of cakes, but when we explained we preferred savoury dishes, she was more than happy to prepare egg, cheese and ham for us, as well as bread and fruit and yoghurt and coffee. If like us you prefer a savoury breakfast, just be sure to tell her. The hamlet of Scopello is beautiful, a must visit.
Cons: Be aware owner only takes cash payments.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Breathtaking view, excellent breakfast, can't wait to come back.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Perfect location with the best view possible.
Cons: Only take cash payment, so be prepared!

Pros: The location in the city center was ok. Breakfast good.
Cons: A room with a small window is less ventilated and little light. Enter the narrow stairs to the floor.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Excellent breakfast incl homemade cake!
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Having an Excellent breakfast in Marias Kitchen/Livingroom is as if you are sitting in the paza. All the guest of her small house share breakfast on a long table while she is waiting on you! Family atmosphere!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Great place in an amazing location in Scopello, literally 50m from the main parking. I stayed in the small room that was no more no less as advertised so fully met my expectations! Can't find anythig better for that price, perfect for a single traveller's short stay. Maria is a lovely person, she was nice and kind and prepared a huge and delicious breakfast in the morning too! Highly recommended
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Maria was absolutely lovely. Almost no English so come with google translate if you don’t speak Italian. She went above and beyond to accommodate our dietary restrictions for breakfast and location can’t be beat - literally in the piazza!
Cons: As an old building, noise travels so we could hear all the talking downstairs.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: By staying in the main square we felt part of the village. The paid parking was very close by. Maria was very friendly. I had read that she didn’t speak English, but we were able to communicate in French. She insisted on carrying our luggage upstairs. Our triple room was comfortable. The breakfasts were good. The WiFi was fast and there was no shortage of hot water. The proximity to the Zingaro National Park was great. We walked to the Tonnaro, about a 15-20 min walk
Cons: I guess I expected a ‘typical fishing village’ to actually be next to the coast and to be able to easily stroll to the sea. In fact it was quite a steep walk down, along the road, to the Tonnaro and you actually had to pay to enter that area. The ‘village’ consisted mainly of the central piazza, including the bed and breakfast, bars, restaurants and souvenir shops, and a couple of other hotels.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Lovely, helpful reception. Great location and yummy breakfast.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The place of the acommodation was very very good. It is the centre of the Scopello. It is not far from Faraglioni di Scopello - very very nice beach. Maria was very lovely and kind.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Nice room and friendly atmosphere in the middle of cosy Scopello. Ample breakfast with a lot of savory and sweet choices. Maria was very welcoming and gave us some tips about what to do and where to go (in Italian). Perfect location to visit Zingaro park.
Cons: Relatively pricy, due to the high demand. No free parking space (only a paid parking spot at a short distance), because no cars are allowed in the central square of Scopello.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Maria is a great host, very friendly. The location is perfect - we had a possibility to go to Lo Zingaro on foot.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful location and views
Cons: Rooms are non smoking however guests smoking on verandah outside let smoke come into our room. A designated smoking area would be great so as not to disturb other guests who hate smoke.
7.5 Good
Pros: Great place to stay near the Zigaro Natural Reserve. Comfortable room. Good shower. But the best is the restaurant: We ate there the best pasta in our during of entire trip in Sicilia.
Cons: It was provided two single beds together instead of the double bed. It is not so comfortable for a couple. Check ou time too early (around 10.30).
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Lovely hosts and staff. Beautiful pool. Delicious breakfast with home made cakes.
Cons: Average bedroom and bathroom compared to the rest of the place.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: The location was heaven!
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Once you have crossed the steep path (if you rented a Ferrari, it's harder to get around), you will discover an absolutely picturesque spot on the hillside, with a breathtaking view. The home owner welcome is warm, the house offers several accommodation options, whether you are a couple or family. Easy parking for the damaged Ferrari! Some rooms have no heating (not recommended in the spring when the nights are cool) and the fireplace in the living room does not heat the floor. The breakfast taken on the terrace with a beautiful sun is a real treat. I recommend for nature lovers who would like to discover the Zingaro
Cons: The lack of heating in the room (reversible air conditioning off)
10.0 Excellent

8.0 Excellent
Pros: Residence is nicely set not far from scopello. All rooms have outdoor space with table and chairs.
Cons: We were disappointed by the restaurant: food was just ok but expensive for the quality and quantity. There was not enough staff to serve all the customers. Similarly breakfast was just ok.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The pool, cleanliness and being out of town. Perfect spot.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Great central location, parking lot with a shuttle, right around the corner from groceries, butcher, cathedrals - weddings, the port walk and bay walk. Quiet stay. Short drive to the salt museum and not too far to go to Marsala with orchards everywhere you look. Amazing.
5.8 Okay
Pros: Location , nice , clean and hospitality but didn’t have much charm. We were told breakfast was included but then told it wasn’t. Had to pay $ 5 per person.
Cons: Couldn’t use the pool late in the evening and it was a Stuffy crowd and too quiet. We didn’t feel our kids could play in the pool freely. At check out they tried to make us pay again even though we pre paid. She was pushy about it and we had to show them our pay pal payment before they believed us.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Clean room and garden.
7.5 Good
Pros: Gorgeous hotel on the hillside. Very quiet. Lovely staff and room cleaned every day. Beautiful pool area with plenty of shade as well as sunny spots.
Cons: Minor things really - a mirror in the bedroom would be useful. A kettle and cups would be good - there is a fridge so guests could easily get milk nearby etc.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Lovely hotel in a beautiful setting with great staff and a nice pool. Scopello town Centre is a drive away but hotel staff organized a shuttle for us for €7 per person.
Cons: WiFi was poor, breakfast was fine but the water was slightly salty which made the tea undrinkable.
4.3 Okay
Pros: Food in the restaurant was decent but a little overpriced.
Cons: Bathroom was dirty on arrival (shower drainage blocked with hair), toilet-paper was not renewed (had to get it every second day from the reception), curtain hanger was broken and looked quite dangerous (fortunately it didn't came down :-)) pool doesn't have a bar,
5.0 Okay
Pros: Good restaurant and space by the pool
Cons: Rooms desperately need refurbishing. Bed sunk very low when sat on and was basically a camping bed. Wardrobe and desk was old and too big for the already small room

9.5 Excellent
Pros: The room had a wonderful view and was very quiet

8.3 Excellent
Pros: It’s beautifully placed in the town center. The view from the restaurant it’s stunning. The owners and the crew are embarrassingly nice!!!
Cons: There is no mini fridge in the room.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Holy smokes! - What a great view! From the bedroom and from the hotel restaurant (breakfast). I was worried that the pictures may have been exaggerated, but honestly, the place is even better in person. And you really do eat a great breakfast in a beautiful restaurant with a spectacular view. -The old-style furniture gives extra charm. The mattress and sheets seemed perfectly new. - All around beautiful hotel. - Big room with beautiful blue decoration. - Can't beat the location. Scopello is a dream and this hotel seems to be the best located place in town. - Beach and lovely snorkeling cove can be accessed via a 10 min path leading down the hill.
Cons: There was nothing i "didnt like". I would just mention they let you pull your car up for check-in and check-out, but otherwise you need to park in a managed parking lot a couple blocks away. Parking is 5 euro for 24 hours.
6.8 Good
Pros: Fabulous location.Good sized room. Great village.lots of restaurants.
Cons: Difficult to drop off and collect luggage .But that retains the villages character
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Best views in Scopello
Cons: Restaurant quality not as good as nearby competition and over priced.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Great location. Wonderful staff, beautiful food.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Great location for views. Quaint little village.
Cons: Bed too hard. Pillows too flat. Breakfast was very average and needed replenishing sooner.
7.0 Good
Pros: The property was in a great location with a magnificent view. Family run and friendly staff. Good sized rooms and a generous breakfast on offer for a minimal price.
Cons: Cleanliness. We also asked the staff to come and fix the safe however they didn’t come. Check in was easy and seamless however with checkout was a bit tricky as we were needing to check out at 8am however couldn’t get a hold of anyone. Partly our fault though as we should have mentioned it the night before. The towels had a couple of stains on them, as did the bed cover. Potentially permanent stains but nonetheless.. The cover that is situated under the mattress was exposed between the mattress and the bed frame and unfortunately there were hairs on that a dead bug.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Incredible view! Lovely people and beautiful location
Cons: Shower leaked!

Pros: Perfect stay
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Right in the centre of town, comfortable & clean rooms and beds. Great selection of food for breakfast included in the price. Our kids loved the swimming pool. Free onsite car parking was a bonus.
Cons: Nothing
8.8 Excellent
Pros: very friendly staff, very large rooms and plenty of space, breakfast was fine - even better once it was accepted we wanted to sit outside!
Cons: It would have been good to use the pool at 09:00, before breakfast, but it was still being cleaned. Although the hotel was very clean, the cleaning detergents used in the room had a strong lingering smell, so maybe an improvement can be made in this respect.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Reception and cleaning staff were always super friendly and helpful! Bedroom was clean and comfortable. Perfect location for Scopello and surrounding area.
Cons: Plastic cups used for breakfast (there are already glasses hidding on a shelf!). No access to a recycling bin(s). Eating breakfast outside would also be nice
7.5 Good
Pros: friendly staff, good selection for breakfast. Ideal location for town, very close with a selection of restaurants.
Cons: Dogs barking constantly including the nights!!!! Reported it to the reception and was told they do sometimes have a problem with the Barking dogs!! Pool needs areas of small repairs.
7.5 Good
Pros: It has a great view to the sea and the service was friendly and helpful. It has a wide variety of foods for breakfast.
Cons: The room was noisy in the mornings and evenings. It was musty, moldy, damp and cobwebby.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Both the village's location and the hotel's location within the village are perfect. The breakfast was good, with local specialties. The swimming pool is nice to have for the laziest hours.
Cons: The main beach within walking distance has an entrance fee, but it's very much worth it. Alternatives require use of a car.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Great locations and clean rooms!
Cons: I could only pay cash as they had the payment machine out of order for more than 4 days! I would suggest to include good fruits in the breakfast
10.0 Excellent
Pros: It was perfect!! Clean and comfortable and relaxing

Featured amenities include complimentary wired Internet access, express check-in, and a 24-hour front desk. 9.5 Excellent
Pros: This was an amazingly located hotel, very close to the lovely town (a few seconds to some amazing restaurants, notably Bar Nettuno). The reception desk is open 24hrs, with really friendly staff.
Cons: The only downside was the toiletries. We were staying here for a wedding and only packed hand luggage so were limited on liquids. The toiletries consisted of a little bottle of shampoo that doubles as body wash. Normally this wouldn't have been an issue, but just note that there aren't proper little bottles of shampoo, conditioner and body wash.
7.0 Good
Pros: The hotel is clean, rooms are of reasonable size, and it is conveniently located in the center of Scopello.
Cons: The hotel advertises itself as a three-star hotel, but in reality should be a two-star. The facilities are fairly basic and could use some updating. This also goes for bed linen and towels. Another issue is that the staff did not seem to be particularly client-oriented, at least as regards non-Italian speakers. To give an example, at breakfast we noticed that the staff would ask Italian clients whether they wanted to order coffee, but would never approach us. While this could have been due to the fact that they spoke very little English, a hotel that markets itself to an English-speaking clientele should make an effort to speak the clients’ language. Having stayed at many other hotels in Sicily, we also felt that the hotel was pricey considering the quality of its facilities and customer service.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Friendly family run hotel
7.5 Good
Pros: Breakfast was good as was the location
Cons: We couldn’t connect to their WIFI for the whole three days we were there which was frustrating.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Good service in the reception. The room was nice, and a bit of sea view. The temperature regulation for the air-condition worked well. Location about two minutes walk from the main square in the village.
Cons: The pool could have benefitted from an upgrade. Would have liked to see more healthy options for the breakfast (and maybe some things organic). About ten minutes or so walk to the beach.
6.8 Good
Pros: Decent hotel with tidy rooms. Good location in Scopello, close to bars and restaurants.
Cons: Rather bleak ambiance, a small bar in the lobby that looks rather depressive. Restaurant and lobby reminds of a waiting room in a hospital.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: great staff, lovely location, excellent cakes with continental breakfast, and a lovely pool area. Scopello is small but atmospheric - the bar 'Di Palma' (if I remember name correctly!) on the piazza, looking out over the ancient lookout tower and the mountains, has the friendliest host and great white wine at a very reasonable price. We had a sundowner there on our first evening and returned every evening after that.
Cons: Nothing to dislike - only comment is that if you aren't fairly fit and able, it is quite a steep 15 minute trek uphill back to the hotel from the nearest beach, Tonnada di Scopello. Taxis always available of course, but somehow we had expected to be closer to the sea. The sea was just fabulous, and worth the walk though!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Very convenient location for a family with teens who want to walk down the driveway and be in the town square without their parents! Beautiful view overlooking the tiny village and the sea beyond from our balcony. We were awakened early every morning by all of the doves cooing. Proximity to Zingaro wildlife reserve means lots of birds!
Cons: Nothing- I would go there again, perhaps for a destination wedding in Scopello, with all the friends and families staying at this comfortable clean new Inn.
5.5 Okay
Pros: Location was perfect, right in the town and a short walk to the Tonnaro or Zingaro Reserve.
Cons: Beds were very uncomfortable and the air conditioning was very poor. There were lots of mosquitoes.
Casale La Macina Residence - Scopello - Bedroom

8.3 Excellent (83 reviews)
Overview Reviews
Casale La Macina is a dream come true. This is the result of Mr. Vita's decision to invest in his estate by proposing an exemplary style of hospitality that allows its guests to experience a dimension of well-being and harmony with the nature surrounding The Macina. A creation for dialogue with territory and history is the hotel's strong vocation. A Hundred year old olive grove and carob trees welcome the traveller to an unblemished Sicilian landscape that has existed for centuries. Orchards of oranges and lemons, a kitchen garden and vines are grown according to environmentally sustainable bio-eco standards. The olive oil produced by the hundred year old trees of the Gateway of Macina has excellent characteristics and the tranquility of the estate attracts many species of birds both as a destination and an oasis.

9.3 Excellent
Cons: Wifi Connection in the room wasn't great.
6.8 Good
Pros: Pool and the area where beautiful and clean Bed sheets and towels are changed regularly Good residence for privacy Good location
Cons: I did not like the facts that the reception told us straight when we arrived « I need your passport and you have to pay now » (which is obvious) without even say « Welcome » (which wasn’t said ever by the service) Breakfast okay, but nothing exceptionally tasty. Missing some salty things like scramble eggs, bacons for examplen
9.5 Excellent
Pros: The owner and staff were very caring and friendly. Breakfasts especially the cakes were excellent. The pool was large than expected and a great place to relax.
