Pros: It was so nice to be in such a homey atmosphere. We were looking for something that would help us relax and feel more at ease and The Lady MacDonald did exactly that. And it was very clean! Excellent spot. Would recommend.
Pros: Outstanding boutique hotel situated within walking distance of anything you would like to see in Canmore. Beautiful bright sitting and dining areas, very clean, quaint rooms with antique feel. DOES NOT FEEL LIKE YOU ARE IN A COOKIE-CUTTER HOTEL CHAIN. Very relaxed, friendly, helpful staff. Outstanding breakfast, menu changes daily. Cannot recommend or rate highly enough. Loved it

Cons: Didn't need it, but surprised to find no phone in the room.
Pros: The location and the staff
Cons: When we orderd this hotel, there was a breakfast included. But when we arrived it was not included.
Pros: The charm of this adorable inn and the friendliness of the staff will bring us back. Also, they provide a three-course breakfast which was fresh and delicious. It was wonderful to have the option of coming out of our room in the morning to such a treat.
1. Soft comfortable bed. 2. restaurant within walking distance 3. room had balcony with good view 4. hiking trails within walking distance
Pros: Great breakfast that was very tasty and nutritious.

Pros: Easy access from Calgary and pet friendly accommodation in the mountains. Fully equipped rooms with nice kitchen and sitting area. Quick walk to trail along the river with scenic views, or 10 min drive into Canmore. Staff are very friendly and parking underground is nice in winter.

Pros: Best place for my young children with good indoor pool and breakfast. Awesome! !Thank you.
Pros: Staff was very friendly and helpful
Room was clean and has own climate control and fireplace.
Very easy access to Canmore or highway
Cons: Hot breakfast tasted like it came from a can.
Pool, hot tub and steam room were all cold which makes warming up and relaxing difficult.
Pros: Very nice rooms!
Pros: Beautiful, large clean room for a great price and wonderful breakfast.

Cons: very noisy people from the street even it is midnight.
Pros: The clan rooms and beds every thing
Cons: No every thing was just right for us.
Cons: Room was hot, AC unit was very loud (but it did cool down the room).
Pros: Location was great, right in the heart of Canmore. The kitchenette was convenient. Other than that everything was very mediocre.
Cons: The room was quite small and poorly laid out, with a hard mattress. There was no coffee or tea for the keurig machine. The parking lot was crowded and awkward.
Pros: It was clean and front end staff are very friendly it is right downtown beside a lovely creek.
Pros: The room was excellent with a nice view of the mountains and river. Even as old as the motel was it was maintained very well.
Cons: Limited parking because of the local business nearby, The spots are first use only.
Pros: Clean, not expensive, what I expected to get.
Cons: Room service a little early
I would recomend this place to all my friends.
Pros: The location was wonderful close to all the places we wanted to visit.
Cons: Not a thing.
Very nice rooms even though the outside looks unfinished as a hotel. For the price, it is worth it.
Pros: The rooms inside were really clean, spacious and bathrooms were well equipped.
Cons: The staff was unfriendly. Only the old woman, the other person was very friendly.
no micro but fridge with small freezer and coffee maker and two tables lots of electrical outlets as one had a C-PAP machine We were back off the river had to go up on tip toes to see out bathroom window was pretty nice to have a good sized window that opened in the bathroom for natural light .. Handy to everything !!! Laundromat on site but as pthers say ask for room away from it as I believe it is public The Grizzly Bear Pub right beside is $$$$ we found no KFC in Canmore and Rose and Crown Pub had horrible partly raw fish and chips ..we took thenm out and ate back at room so did not take them back but server was really nice very bland too at 13.00 or more a serving for COD :( Canmore is really cute and friendly and no need to pay 17.00 or more for day park pass to see Banff as Canmore has it all ..Only 45 min drive from Calgary so really good cheap and clean get away at Bow Valley!!!
Pros: It was as good as reviews said it was and price off priceline booking.com couldn't be beat !!!! Was great for price !!!1 and CLEAN !!! Nice to have flat screen too that moved on wall to get all room in and remote for a/c !!! Would recommend to anyone!
Cons: only to say becareful on walking up stairs to rooms around room number 36 top step is higher than rest and someone tripped ..me **blushing** ouch! Also bottom step is higher drop Everything was great other than that little now known trick
Loved the central location -- easy to walk to restaurants, but also quick access to highway and to several ski resorts.Large room -- was well laid out, and had multiple kinds of useful furniture -- solid desk and chair for computer work; comfy chair and ottoman; sturdy cushioned chair (if you had difficulty rising from a soft chair); refrig.Big and modern flat-screen tv!Awesome views to the mountains or to the river.
Pros: Bow Valley seemed to think of everything to make this a great room: big flat-screen tv, separate desk/chair to do computer work, good sized refrig, boot trays for your hiking boots or ski boots, firm beds, & fluffy bath towels that didn't reek of bleach.
Cons: The shower curtain rod should be changed to the curved kind, instead of the straight rod. This would give you more elbow room in the shower, and prevent the shower curtain from attaching itself to you while you're showering.
Bow Valley Motel is a great choice for a stay in Canmore. Freebies like WiFi and self parking are added perks, and guests looking to stay active can check out the nearby hiking/biking trails, kayaking, and mountain biking. Balconies, flat-screen TVs, and refrigerators are offered in all rooms.
Pros: We felt comfortable the minute we walked in,and the fresh cookies just made it better. The breakfast was delicious.
We did you use the family/ game room.
Cons: Our teenage boys said the sofa sleeper was not very comfortable.
We asked one of the young staff a couple of questions about how far it was to Lake Louse and about exchanging money and she tried to be helpful, but she was a bit off the mark in both cases.
Pros: Never had such wonderful staff
Pros: The rooms were a little unique with a sitting area downstairs and then a small upstairs area with the bed and some nightstands. That and the decorations (including a small electric fireplace) gave the room a very homey feel. The bed had a nice warm homemade quilt on it. The staff was nice. I was there late at night, after their office had closed. The staff called to ask, and when I said I would be late, they taped an envelope to the door with my stuff in it so that I could still get in just fine even though there was no one at the desk.
Cons: The pillows weren't the most comfortabel. The breakfast was very ordinary continental fair, not even any eggs, just toast jam, fruit, and cereal. Normally I wouldn't complain because I can deal with those things. However, the hotel costs $150 per night before tax. If this were in an area that was not close to Banff, then you would expect better for $150/night. However I guess you're paying for the nice location. These are just minor things, the hotel was fine in general. I would stay there again.
Pros: The Delicious Breakfast, Friendliness of the Staff and the beautiful mountain scenery.
Enjoy your visit to Canmore with a stay at Creekside Villa. Free perks include WiFi and self parking. A terrace and a garden are other highlights, and rooms offer up nice touches like Egyptian cotton sheets and premium bedding.
When visiting Spray Valley Provincial Park, Mount Engadine Lodge - All Inclusive is a great choice to consider. After relaxing in the sauna, guests can grab a bite to eat at Mount Engadine Restaurant, which serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner.
Pros: This was a one night stopover on the way back from Jasper prior to continuing on to Calgary for our return flights to the US. To say we were surprised at the facilities available is an understatement. I thought and expected this to be a standard hotel, and was unaware when making the reservation it's designed as an extended stay facility.
Our room, actually more a suite considering the size and features, was equipped with a full kitchen, washer and drier, the living room area had the expected TV but there was also an AM/FM receiver for music and a DVD player. The bathroom had all very modern fixtures and the bedroom was also equipped with a TV plus the bed turned out to be very comfortable.
I can't speak for the performance of the facility for an extended stay as a look at other reviews following our stay, indicated some visitors had issues with room maintenance and linen changes.
That given, after spending a great deal more for a week in a standard hotel room in Banff I definitely would have stayed here had I know about the features offered.
Not only would the costs have been significantly less, but Canmore is only 20 Km South from Banff and other sightseeing spots in the area. It would have been a perfect location for our travel plans plus the facility offered underground parking as another plus. (Parking in Banff was hit and miss due to the crowds).
Can't add any advice on restaurants or other things to do in Canmore, as we only had time for a quick lunch before departure.
Speaking for myself, if we go back to the area to enjoy the fabulous hiking and sightseeing opportunities, I would definitely pass on staying in Banff, and use this hotel as the base for our area travel plans.
Cons: The bathroom tub fills from a tap in the ceiling! This creates a lot of noise initially until the tub starts to fill.
Our specific room location was on the first floor facing the front of the building and the road. Since we were only there for one night, this didn't turn out to be an issue, but if you do stay here, try for a room away for the front.
Each room apparently has an outside sitting area, so if you intend to take advantage of this added feature, a higher room location on the rear of the building makes even more sense.
Pros: very nice up-to-date rooms
Cons: convenient location off highway with easy access to town and area attractions but tucked along a crowded road with minimal outdoor green space
Enjoy your visit to Canmore with a stay at Silver Creek Lodge. Guests can visit the spa to indulge in massages, aromatherapy, or Ayurvedic treatments, and sushi is served at Wild Orchid Asian Bistro, which is open for dinner. A health club and a spa tub are other highlights, and rooms offer upscale touches like fireplaces and soaking tubs.
Cons: When i arrived to check in on Oct10 @1:15pm, i was told my room wasn't ready, to come back later. I said I'd be back later, after a wedding I was attending. I arrive back at the Georgetown Inn around 12am to find the doors locked!! I look around and find a note on a window saying the front desk is only open 8am-10pm. No one had informed me when I was checking in, that the front desk closed at 10pm. This being the Thanksgiving holiday, there were no other hotels that had any rooms. I had to drive back to Edmonton.
I just got off the phone with a Kayak rep. who has been trying to get a hold of the manager at the Georgetown Inn without any success, this is the second day they have tried to talk to the manager. The rep just informed me the the front desk said I looked at the room, but said I didn't like it!! I didn't even see the room because I was informed the room wasn't cleaned!! Now someone at the front desk is lying, very disappointing.
At The Georgetown Inn, you'll be near winter activities like downhill skiing, snow tubing, and snowmobiling. For a bite to eat, guests can check out Miners Lamp Pub, which serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner. A bar/lounge and a terrace are offered, and rooms at this romantic inn get the details right with fireplaces and bathrobes. Ski storage is also available.
Cons: The walls are paper thin. You can hear everything. Little to no parking for a tall vehicle (I had a suburban with a Yakima on top so I didn't fit in their parking garage). Air conditioner didn't work. Ask for someone to fix it everyday we were there. Had to wait anywhere from 45 minutes to an hour for someone to come.
Cons: I was put in a room directly above where the construction was going on. It was not a relaxing stay
Pros: I liked the location of the resort
I liked the room
I liked the underground parking
I liked the attached spa
Cons: I didn't like the noisy neighbors Friday and Saturday nights!!!
I didn't like getting double charged for the stay especially when I asked at check out if there would be any charges and they said no. The charges did get reversed but I had to do all the leg work!
I didn't like that there wasn't a restaurant/bar in the resort
I didn't like that they didn't have an atm onsite
Pros: I stayed in a two bedroom suite in the Aurora suites and it was 100% the best stay of my week in this area. The accommodations are luxury, and very clean and comfortable. I could have stayed here for another month or two, it had everything I needed. Outdoor patio space with dining space and a bbq, gourmet kitchen, in suite washer dryer, jet shower, two bedroom master suite set up, spacious living room and dining room, fireplace in all bedrooms, and comfortable bedding. I can't wait to come back for another stay!
Solara Resort and Spa is a great choice for a stay in Canmore. Guests can visit the spa to be pampered with deep-tissue massages, body wraps, or body scrubs. A fitness center and 2 spa tubs are other highlights, and rooms at this upscale resort offer upscale touches like fireplaces and soaking tubs.
Pros: The location was easy to access, staff were friendly and helpful. Room was not fancy but comfortable and clean.
Rocky Mountain Ski Lodge is a 2.5 star hotel centrally located in Canmore, just minutes from Kananaskis Country and Banff National Park. This property offers a unique selection of accommodations including standard rooms with kitchens to loft one bedroom apartments which can comfortably accommodate up to 6 guests. All rooms enjoy spectacular views of the mountains. Complimentary wireless internet, an indoor whirlpool and nordic-style dry heat sauna makes this hotel an ideal choice for a getaway in the Canadian Rockies.
When visiting Harvie Heights, Banff Boundary Lodge is a great choice to consider. Guests can enjoy the spa tub, and hiking/biking trails, cross-country skiing, and downhill skiing are nearby. Conveniences like kitchens are in all rooms, along with fireplaces and balconies or patios.
When you stay at HI-Kananaskis Hostel, you'll be within a 10-minute drive of Nakiska Ski Resort. Free self parking is an added perk, and guests looking to stay active can check out the nearby downhill skiing.
Cons: the floor near the bathroom creaked everytime you walked on it, The bathroom door needed something to keep it ajar
Cons: This is terribly bad 2 star motel. Renovated from local motel to brand name charging a lot of money for uncomfortable quilts, worn out spring from mattress, very noisy room, really cold at night, fan heater making you chone and dry up your throat.bad!!!
Pros: It's close to a variety of restaurants and has a great view
Cons: Not a fan of the 4:00 check in
Pros: good price for what was received.
Pros: The room was very clean! The front desk agent was very friendly and fast at checking us in.
Cons: The room was dated.
Pros: We stayed 3 nights at the hotel and it was really nice. We changed the room because the first one was near a noisy air condition. The staff gave us a room with a fireplace which was so cool. Breakfast was great: some fresh fruit, coffee/tea, bagels etc.
Pros: Great location, friendly staff. Breakfast included. Checking and checkout were fast. Ample parking.
Cons: room was supoosed to have 2 queen beds but only one with tiny sofabed
Pros: Breakfast was great, good kitchen, good location/ value
Pros: customer service and clean roomï¼ï¼
Stay at the Days Inn Canmore hotel near Banff National Park Gate and Canmore Nordic Centre Provincial Park. Amenities include complimentary breakfast, complimentary wireless internet, restaurant, business centre, gym, and complimentary parking. Guest rooms are equipped with work space, air conditioning, a fireplace, microwave, mini-refrigerator, and a Keurig coffee and tea maker. Attractions include Canmore Elevation Place, Stoney Nakoda Resort and Casino, Kananaskis Country, Lake Minnewanka, and Lake Louise. Pets are welcome.
Cons: Expensive for the sIze of room and bed quality
Pros: Overall the hotel was just ok....
Not impressed with the "pet friendly" as I assume these are little dogs or maybe cats.. Not dogs the size of ponies. YUCK!!!
Also, if your looking for a goodnight sleep, this is not the hotel for you...paper walls.
Another negative is that you have to go outside to get to the pool.
Cons: Wouldn't stay again!
Pros: Got a great deal on Kayak
Cons: Because we got a great deal on Kayak, I think we were put into a pet friendly room. We found a dog toy behind on the the tables (ewww). Also no sewing kits which are usually found in hotel rooms and much needed during this visit.

Hotel Features. On-site dining is offered at Vic's Steakhouse and Bar that serves AAA local Alberta game and offers a premium selection of fine Canadian wines. Meetings, conventions, and special events are accommodated via the hotel's business center and 10,000 square feet (929 square meters) of naturally lit, pillar-free function space with windows that frame mountain views. Audiovisual equipment is provided and creative event catering can be arranged. Wireless Internet access is available in the lobby. Nearby, guests can find a rock climbing wall, spelunking, ziplining, and ski lessons. Relax in the spa tub onsite. On-site parking is free.

All rooms offer complimentary wireless Internet access, LCD TVs with premium cable channels, direct-dial phones, coffeemakers, hair dryers, and complimentary toiletries. All rooms are non smoking.
Cons: Pool needed repair and rooms and hallways needed more frequent vacuuming. Our room was dusty.
Pros: Great trails and skiing. Very friendly staff. Thanks for the upgrade. Beautiful spot for a winter getaway.
Cons: The food quality needs work. The suite was hard to keep warm. Hard on guests and staff during renos.
Pros: Outstanding service from checkin to checkout, beautiful room and most comfortable beds I have slept on in a hotel (I've been to a lot off different hotels).
The scenery can't be beat and so peaceful.
There is alot of construction going on, but the staff have gone well out of the way to make our stay special and memorable. We WWII be back.
Pros: Loved my room, but not the location. All the staff were amazing and helpful. The market cafe was quite pricey but really great quality.
Cons: The renos made it difficult to really enjoy my stay. I was there for a conference and to go back to my room if I forgot something or to even just rest for a bit was quite the trek. When we arrived some of the staff didn't seem to know that only 1 elevator (out of 3) could take us to our part of the main building since there were "construction zones". So when we got there third time was a charm and we even had someone show us the way. Thr construction was a pain in the butt. I would definitely not come back until it's all done.
Pros: This hotel has a great location for admiring views, disconnecting from stress, relaxing and hiking. The hotel room was very comfortable and the price midweek was very good for 5 people. We will definitely be going to this hotel again.
Cons: The bad side to the location is that you have to drive if you want a choice of many restaurants and grocery stores. the scenic drive makes it a pleasure to drive to Canmore or Banff.
Pros: Great rooms with great views! One of my favourite things about this hotel is the pool area that includes a sauna, indoor/outdoor hot tub, cold pool, and steam room with scented steam. Kananaskis Village is a great alternative to the relatively busy Banff/Canmore area.
Cons: There was a team-building exercise going on in the middle of the "town square" at 9:30am on a Sunday morning, with individual people shouting at the top of their lungs over and over ("I am a strong and confident leader"). This was not appreciated as we could hear it quite loudly in our hotel room and could not get back to sleep. My only complaint for a relaxing weekend away.

Pros: Roomy and well-maintained, well-equipped, comfortable, clean.
Cons: We paid extra for a room with 'deck or bay window overlooking the mountains.' We were handed keys, then found our room was being remodeled. They gave us a basement room with view of a parking lot, at the same price: NOT what they promised in their ad.
Pros: Breakfast was good! Room was big enough for 5. Washroom was clean Overall it was a very good stay. Will come back for sure.
Cons: Front desk personnel not engaged at check in. Actually had to enquire if one was on shift so we could check in at 630. Hairs all over bathroom tub sink toilet and walls. Room didn't feel clean at all.
Pros: the staff, the setting, location, breakfast, everything really. It was a nice beginning to our trip in Banff area.
Cons: It is close to Banff and really great in terms of moving back and forth as well as the price was reasonable.
The hotel past ratings for this hotel are extremely generous, these rooms are old and need a renovation, hotel had a fireplace and a balcony which was nice, the view was to another condo and parking lot, but I did not pay for a mountain view. But if you plan to take in the sights and not plan to stay in the room for long periods of time, this maybe an ok option for you. This hotel is a 3 at best, for some it maybe considered less.
Pros: Price was decent and the room was quiet, bathroom was small and old but appeared to be clean. Breakfast (please don't call it free) was very basic -toast, cereal, pasteries, some juice, apple and bananas, waffle maker and coffee.
Cons: Very dated, old TV and phone, still had keyed door locks for the room. Breakfast had no orange juice at 9:30 am. Only 2 pillows per bed, most hotels you stay at have 4 per bed. Wifi had 2 networks and slow when you could connect.
Pros: We were greeted warmly. We had a room with a fireplace and a balcony, very nice. The breakfast was also very good.
The view from our deck was worth the price of the room. I would definitely go back for that reason alone. If you go to the mountains to absorb the beauty of nature, you will appreciate where this hotel is located.
Pros: The view from our room was majestic. The mountain range from our deck was breathtaking. The Three Sisters, a combination of three mountain peaks in one mountain range, was unbelievable.
Cons: The plumbing in the shower was unsatisfactory. Half the water released went through the shower head and other half went to the tub which did not drain properly so you were standing in water while you took a mediocre shower. The lavatory was too small.
Enjoy your visit to Canmore with a stay at Canmore Rocky Mountain Inn. Guests can enjoy the sauna, and hiking/biking trails, kayaking, and scuba diving are nearby. Rooms feature conveniences like refrigerators and microwaves.
Cons: No Continental breakfast like the United States
Pros: Condition of hotel/room was as expected for a Holiday Inn - good, clean, comfortable, quiet, above average
Cons: No newspaper available in morning, no coffee available in lobby, breakfast option not made available. Business has taken me to approx. 6 different hotel chains in past month - Holiday Inn only hotel that didn't offer the above items.
Pros: Nice Staff. Very clean and quiet hotel. 2 baths is nice.Sitting room away from bedroom. The Mrs. liked the curtains. A very nice stay for a reasonable price. Fully recommended.
Cons: no negative issues.

Cons: Parking is overcrowded and take long walks to get to the car.
Pros: I appreciated the early check-in and the later check-in, and the room upgrade to a quieter location, by the friendly front desk staff.
The central location allowed us to park under cover and walk to everywhere we needed, to shop and attend the late fireworks events...we will be back to this Ramada property in beautiful Canmore!
Cons: It was a superb stay with great staff...
no negative comments!
Pros: Friendly staff, clean room !
Cons: Water slide was closed and the restaurant was in a separate building !
Pros: Convenient in Canmore.
Cons: Train was loud and frequent, price is pretty high for what you get. No free breakfast either.
Pros: they switched our room. but it was 3am. lots of hassle. Did not expect this with the money we spent.
Cons: bed bugs.
Pros: Close to almost everything in town and Banff national park
Cons: Room felt like a sauna, had to open the window, turn the furnace to air conditioning, sleeping at night was uncomfortable with how warm it was
