Near railway station. Friendly owners.
Room lock was a bit challenging.
Very nice terrace with a great view; right by the sea; restaurants in walking distance
You can hear the neighbours; the bathroom is a little tiny and worn out
The pillows were terrible. We weren’t able to check in or out. The housekeeper was lovely.
Location is wonderful across from beach/ close to train station, owner (David) very accommodating/ available when needed, the electric hot water pitcher and tea/ coffee in room was appreciated, loved the quality of the towels, appreciated David offering a balcony room to me after I requested it.
The bed was very hard and difficult to sleep on, the walls are incredibly thin and you can hear everything/ be heard by neighbors. I felt like I couldn’t talk on the phone w/ family even quietly which takes away from privacy, freedom to go about your room as needed comfortably and lack of sleep when neighbors moved around their room or had tv on. The refridgerator never got decently cold when I tried to use it and was not even on ready for me to use when I came to room. The color of the wall paint and the bed comforter terribly old and outdated.
Fabulous location a short 10 minute walk from the railway station on the flat and right across the road from the lovely promenade. The property entrance is up a side road and it felt very safe at all times, most apartments in the block seemed to be holiday lets. Tidy little apartment with a comfy bed and small balcony with a lovely sea view (if there isn't a large group on the balcony in front). Has a kettle, and a fridge, which I didn't realise so didn't use. Lovely beach restaurants along the promenade, clean sea for swimming David the manager spoke good English and was very friendly and responsive to queries I had. Great place for 1 or 2 people to stay.
Davids mum met me at the apartment to let me in, but seemed to be in a great hurry so I didn't feel I got the information I wanted re the facilities. I wasn't sure how to arrange breakfast, which was in a restaurant along from the apartment block, so didn't use it. The cubicle shower is a bit high and narrow to get in and out of, could do with a little rail on the wall. Tea and coffee was minimal, just couple of sachets, take your own, also no milk at all. Could have done with some little portions as I only stayed a couple of nights, so didn't need much milk. Could be noisy outside in the evening with people on other balconies, so couldn't leave the french window open and it got very hot in the room, no air con, just a fan. Just a few little niggles really, I would stay there again, as long as the weather wasn't too hot.
